First Blood [Hunter]

Kanzaki Yamanaka strode through the entrance to the arena feeling somewhat confident. He had gotten a tip from a few gamblers earlier that the easiest way to make fast money in Sunagakure was by participating in the Bloodworks games...if you were a capable fighter that is. Since he had just got his family fully integrated into Sunagakure and it would take a while for them to resume their jobs and make a stable living, they were essentially dependent on Kanzaki being the breadwinner. The Yamanaka didn't dislike it, but he did know his mother and father especially felt ashamed asking their son to take care of the family when they were still of working age. It was evident in their eyes - their demeanor. Those mercenaries forced the family of farmers to emigrate from the Fire Country to the dunes of Wind Country, leaving whatever they built up in their past to land utterly foreign to them. Those people destroyed their peaceful lives. They didn't deserve it. He would never forgive them. Therefore, every time he took to help his family would be a step towards spiritual vengeance on those bastards. Failure would not be an exception. The arena combat would be a high-risk, high-reward scenario even for the most experienced shinobi. There was no guarantee that you would walk in with an advantage, and with Kanzaki being new to Sunagakure, he had no intel on anyone's abilities. Although it was not his preference, he would have to make it work. Besides, this was the nature of most real-life situations.

Upon reaching the gates of the Bloodworks, a guard promptly stopped him.

"Hm? Are you sure you want to participate, kid? We don't accept tap-outs, surrenders, or anything else you may be used to in fights. This is a battle to the death." The guard furrowed his brow with silent rumination, unsure whether Kanzaki's request was unpretentious or foolish. With his Land of the Iron Armor equipped (grasping the helmet on his hand), Ninja Pouches strapped to his right and left hips, and his bandages wrapped around the wrist area of his armor, Kanzaki would merely nod - his bright emerald eyes blazed with incandescent flame. "I'm ready."

The guard sensed his conviction as he opened the door to the colosseum of the Bloodworks. The egress widened, blinding light enveloping the darkness as the arena's design would become discernable to Kanzaki. It was enormous: 200m in circular diameter (100m radius) with 100m tall walls where the audience seats would be stationed above the walls. As he strode through the sandy-marbled arena, the crowd would be silenced, not knowing whether to cheer or boo for the mysterious challenger. It made sense. Kanzaki was a foreigner from the Fire Country that just joined the Sunagakure military force not too long ago; not many people would know or even acknowledge his existence. Not yet anyway. Eventually, small cheers would fill out the silent arena to squash the deafening awkwardness. Kanzaki merely tuned them out. All that mattered was his opponent.

...And his morality.

Entering from the Western Side of the arena, he would walk straight forward until he reached 5m from the center of his arena, waiting for his opponent as his helmet rested on his left hand.

Adonis 'Limp Spider' Aranha - Stats:

Adonis entered the arena from the Eastern entrance. With his right hand, he clutched a crossbow, loaded with ten arrows, each arrow prepared with an exploding tag (their fuses unlit). With his left, he held a waraxe. Two more arms dangled limply, uselessly by his sides, doing nothing at all. On his back were strapped three spears and three giant fuma shuriken. Two more waraxes were strapped to him, one on each of his hips on his belt around his waist. He carried his kunai and shuriken in his deep pockets. His wrinkled face bore no expression. His first battle in the Bloodworks was to heal his arms. But after the fight, he wished to test himself more. He wanted to find an opponent he could not beat with two arms. Then he became addicted to the bloodlust. Now, he only felt alive after taking the life of another. The crowd was familiar with his face. Some cheered, while others jeered. 

"Look, it's Limp Spider!"

"Oi, Limp Spider, can you get it up?!"

Adonis was unfazed by their taunting. It was a phenomenon that he was used to. He walked calmly towards the center of the ring, his eyes locked onto his opponents, and came to a stop after covering a distance of 30 meters. He had made it seem like he was going to walk all the way to the center, which is why when he pointed his crossbow at Kanzaki Yamanaka and uttered the word, "Die." and then clicked the trigger to shoot a single arrow in his direction the crowd got riled up and rowdy. The arrow would travel at a speed of 115, and cover a maximum distance of 77 meters. It was aimed for Kanzaki's throat, and unless defended properly it would pierce him through his neck and put an end to the fight.

Adonis turned around, and began to walk back to the locker room as the blood splattered upwards as a fountain from the Yamanaka's neck behind him as his decapacitated body fell to its knees then collapsed, and the guard who let the young boy into the colosseum shook his head as he tutted.
