Escaping A Brush With Death [Travel]

Kaito landed precariously upon one of the innumerable grey pillars that made up his personal kanji dimension. Dizzy from the punch he had taken to the face only a few seconds prior, the Uchiha fell to the ground. He fell on his back and looked and the endless darkness above him.

‘What in the hell was that guy?’

Thinking back on it all, Kaito was thankful to have barely survived with his life. The lad’s face was certainly bruised and he could feel sticky wetness of blood exiting from his nose. He tried to breathe in through it but was greeted with more pain.

‘Broken…’

Sitting himself up so that he wouldn’t choke on his own blood, Kaito would take in some heavy breaths through his mouth. In his less dominant left hand he prepared his “Basic Medical Ninjutsu” technique and with his right hand he grasped the bridge of his broken nose.

‘3… 2… 1…’

In a swift motion Kaito reset his nose.

“Fuck!” He exclaimed, hitting the ground a few times with his right hand as he writhed in a moment of pain. The sound of this echoed throughout the vast expanse of pillars. He hurriedly followed up with his medical jutsu, which acted as a numbing agent of sorts and mitigated the pain quite a bit. All the while he breathed in and out through his mouth, which helped him to settle down quite a bit, and once he was calmed down he scooted back up to lean his back and head against one of the pillars.

“That was heavy…” He said to nobody in particular, thinking about how an assassin had just tried to cut his life short. “And the guy called me a councilman. Has word spread that quickly already? Is there a mole amongst the village higher ups?” Kaito dwelled on this for a moment before shaking his head from side to side and standing up to his feet.

As his Mangekyō Sharingan had been active this entire time, he was able to activate his left Kamui’s ability of long range teleportation. Knowing that he couldn’t just teleport back to Sunagakure’s ninja academy, however, he decided to teleport himself to the Sunagakure Recreational & Academic Campus, where his presence had been requested b the new Fourth Kazekage after his duties at the academy ended for the day. Despite the fact that Kaito would be very early, hopefully the Kazekage would be there waiting for him…
