It was official. Reizo was now a Kirigakure shinobi. He had quite a storied career as a ninja, starting as a budding Academy Student under the wings of Akihana in Kumogakure, graduating and training to hone his skills until he eventually became a Chunin and then a Jounin of Kumogakure, and now years later he was in a new land with a new title- sensei. Though he had a team in the past briefly in Kumogakure, teaching at the academy would be a very different experience. The Taijutsu specialist found it kind of funny that he had just joined the village and he was already being tasked with handling their future generation, even if it was just for some consultation on the curriculum and a few classes for their week of taijutsu training.

Then it dawned on him. He was now a gym teacher. What was that saying? Those who can’t do, teach, and those who can’t teach, teach gym? He recalled something like that from the famous comedian and musician, Jakku Burakku. Well, that’s exactly what he was now. A gym teacher. He taught kids martial arts, proper exercise and technique, and conducted sparring sessions. It was certainly not the expected career path for the once feared Jinchuriki of Kumogakure, but it was at least a low-stress and surprisingly high paying job.

Reizo navigated the halls of the Academy until he located the staff conference room on the second floor. He was meant to report there to discuss the details of the new taijutsu curriculum to improve Kirigakure’s readiness and prepare the new generation for the trials and tribulations expected of a Mist shinobi. Reizo took a measured breath before sighing as he opened the door to the conference room to meet his new colleagues. While he was never an anxious person, he still couldn’t shake the feeling of being a complete foreigner in this village. He didn’t like to stand out in crowds, and he especially was not a fan of drawing attention to himself. Yet now he was expected to be the center of attention as a taijutsu consultant among his peers. With his expertise, he could comfortably talk about technique and striking for hours and if there were ever a topic he could make friends over, it would be this.It was a new era with new people and experiences, and Reizo was excited to make the most of it.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

The hiring of Reizo Shoyu was directly influenced by the current Assistant Kage of the village and second highest ranking shinobi in the village besides their Mizukage. Shiro was not one to usually hand out favors, however being a part of the academy was considered a very respectable job. Especially when their last combat instructor got into some hot water recently with shouting out his disdain for the current Mizukage and that Shiro coming out of the fight alive meant that he had made some kind of deal in exchange for his life. Shiro was not the one to silence the man, however he was fired by the academy as a result. However Shiro knew that the children would want someone that was younger, someone that people could gravitate towards much better then the local bumbling fool who could barely throw a punch right. However the current training regime that was once a part of the gym schedule simply would not do. It was too basic, there wasn’t anything that truly could get these kids into shape if they solely wanted to focus on getting their taijutsu and cardio up. However Shiro also wanted to change the program just slightly, as Reizo could hear an ensuing argument raging inside of the conference room. The once calm voice of Shiro that he had heard when he had first met him was gone. Replaced with an annoyed tone towards one of the faculty members.

“They should at least know how to swing a sword while knowing how to throw a punch Moroi,” Shiro reasoned towards his fellow colleague, an orange haired gentleman who rolled his eyes at the sword users request of the children doing more than just throwing punches.

“However, learning how to actually swing it will cost too much time, make it an extracurricular activity if you have too. However the students have to know more than just physical combat.”

Shiro rolled his eyes towards the man before him, not liking that his idea was shot down immediately by Moroi, who was the vice principle of the school, and Kiri’s entire mandate was based on voting systems, and most of the other faculty wouldn’t want such a big change to the physical training of the shinobi if it meant that their jobs could also be put in danger. The steps of someone entering the room made Shiro use his own sensory capabilities, figuring out that this was the man who he had met at the gate, and the man who he wanted to see create a physical training program for the Academy that they were currently hunkered down in. Shiro was happy to see that Reizo had shown up, most of the faculty went to sit down, while both Moroi, and the current principle of the academy, Moku Kensoda, walked over to try and greet the newly acquainted Gym instructor that they had tried to hire.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Reizo, Shiro has told us about you,” Moku's old, ragged voice bellowed out as he spoke. His face was worn with scars, two right on his head that were like vines lined with thorns. His grip would have been strong, yet his hand felt like stone, rough and sandy almost, as if a simple slap of his open palm would tear off your cheek if it connected. Moroi would also make his introduction towards the foreign ninja, as a few of the faculty would only stare at the once Kumogakure ninja, as Shiro gave a small smile, wanting Reizo to take the center stage and fully introduce himself.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Before Reizo had even opened the door, he could sense a familiar presence in the conference room. There was some arguing going on inside, and although it was muffled through the door, Reizo could distinctly make out the former Mizukage’s voice. It sounded flustered, quite different from the calm and almost carefree attitude the young man had shown him at the gates. As soon as Reizo opened the door, the bickering stopped and the room fell silent. All eyes were on the foreigner. He could make out the slightest glimmer of happiness in Shiro’s eyes as their gazes met, or perhaps it was relief? Either way, Reizo’s attention was quickly drawn to the principal of the school.

Reizo returned the man’s handshake. It was firm, much like a marine’s, and the man was clearly battle-worn and ragged. His hands were coarse like sandpaper, the sign of a man used to working with weapons and heavy weight. Reizo was quite familiar with the calluses that were fixated on the man’s palm as Senshi had similar scars. The principal, who introduced himself as Moku Kensoda, was rather scary looking. It was hard to believe he was entrusted to work with kids, but Reizo deduced that it was simply the standard operating procedure of the village once known as the Bloody Mist. Niceties weren’t exactly mainstream here.

Reizo then turned his attention towards the vice principal, Moroi. He possessed unique orange hair and was well built himself, though his build was certainly more slender than the gruff principal. He somehow didn’t exude the same intimidating aura of the principal, and Reizo was thankful for that. Reizo returned his handshake as well, with a smile and a slight bow before addressing the rest of the hushed room. ”Good morning everyone. I’m Reizo Shoyu. I was brought aboard at the request of the former Mizukage to help draft a new Taijutsu curriculum. I hope we can all get along,” Reizo would say, introducing himself. ”I recently immigrated here and would love nothing more than to return the hospitality by improving the structure and regimen of the next generation. I did hear some debate, but if I may Mr. Principal, I did have a plan in mind. It’s based off Kumogakure’s trials and training program that I partook in as a Genin several years ago,” Reizo continued, walking over to stand at the front of the room. Principal Kensoda gestured with an open arm to signal Reizo to take the spotlight in front of the rest of the staff.

It had been a while since Reizo had spoken in front of so many people before, and he was definitely feeling the nerves. His palms were slick and he spoke a bit faster than usual. He constantly had to remind himself to slow down and to stop swaying as he spoke.

”I agree with both Lord Shiro and Mr. Moroi, though for different reasons. In Kumo, one of the most important things we were taught was the importance of the most basic techniques and weaponry. These are fundamentals that should be taught young, with proper technique and care. We were taught how to kill with nothing but a simple kunai, and how to defend against multiple armed attackers while we ourselves were unarmed. I propose something similar. When these kids are thrown into actual combat, there will not be a fair fight. While I’m not saying technique and sparring is useless, I don’t believe it to have much merit in a real combat situation. Rarely will we find ourselves in 1 on 1 combat out in the field, as I’m sure Lord Shiro and Principal Kensoda can attest. Additionally, this shouldn’t feel like instruction to the kids, otherwise they won’t retain it or pay attention for when they really need it. Therefore, I propose the following: the first 2 or 3 weeks will be basic instruction regarding taijutsu and weaponry- how to throw a punch and kick, how to jab, dodge, block, basic kenjutsu and shuriken jutsu… the works. After that, they can have a week of practice sparring in 1v1, but after that we’ll divide them into groups, giving no preference to talent or camaraderie. Say we divide them into groups of 4 or 5. We then pit them against us in a 4v1 or 5v1. Blunted weapons of course, but other than that there should be no restrictions. The goal is to simulate real combat as much as possible, and encourage teamwork, strategy, and the fundamentals. I’ve found that when kids are put up against an adult, they’re likely to try much harder than they would against one another. Plus, this way they’d be more willing to try new ideas and work as a team. We could even tie an objective to it like capture the flag or king of the hill.”

Reizo paused, realizing he had been speaking uninterrupted for quite some time. He had really settled into his own pace and calmed his nerves throughout his speech. Once he was locked into his element, every worry seemed to just disappear. Catching himself on the verge of rambling, Reizo was a bit chagrined and briefly broke eye contact with the crowd to stare outside the window. ”But, uh, like I said. I’m open to suggestions and improvements,” he would say sheepishly, looking back towards Shiro.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Shiro was happy to see that Reizo was making nice with the fellow faculty members of the academy. Most of them were either retired Jonin or newly appointed towards this position by the village themselves. The only member who had been here since even the first Mizukage was Moku. With his gruff looking exterior and rough skin, it was no wonder that the academy had been known to partake in some gruesome activities. Moroi and Moku both gave their nods of approval towards the Young man before them. Moroi’s hands were slender, yet there was a sense of strength as he too would give a tight handshake towards the Kumogakure ninja. The room itself was noticeably Blue and red, the contrasting colors almost seemed to clash, similarly to the old and new ideas of the current faculty and Shiro’s own thoughts on what would be best to train the students. Yet when Reizo began to fully introduce himself, the room fell deathly silent. All of them staring at the blonde haired recruit that they had brought into the fold.

Some of the faculty members gave a slight side eye towards Shiro when the foreign ninja had been specifically asked by the previous Mizukage for this specific task. However the entire room nodded their head at the notion of getting along. Some of them did so with a roll of their eyes. However Moroi, Moku, and Shiro had given Reizo their full attention and support. Wanting to fully hear the explanation that the Kumogakure ninja wanted to give as to how they could improve the training regiments inside of Kirigakure. The people here were strong, resilient and known for their bloody ways. Which is why Shiro wanted to add swordplay into the physical aspects of the Academy, it would be far better if everyone knew how to properly swing a sword then just know how to throw out a simple punch. Small glances were exchanged towards Moroi and Shiro with Reizo’s mention of hearing the argument. Before the suggestion that Kiri’s own methods should be merged with Kumogakure’s own training that Reizo had done as a Genin. To which Moku bemused at the nature of Kumogakure with a small chuckle.

“The people of Kumogakure are strong no doubt, but would they do that differently from how we have run things in the past?” The principal asked. Showing his own pride in the work that he had been used to for so long now being slightly merged with that of another nation. However, the explanation of what Reizo had in mind immediately made the Principal shut himself. Shiro gave a slight smirk that Reizo was beginning to explain and express himself through this small training exercise. Kirigakure was lost without a strong foundation, and this could provide such a foundation as to completely switch up what Kirigakure needed in order to gain one step ahead of the rest of the five great nations. Almost the entire board was still listening, even Moroi and Shiro were trying to think and listen to what Reizo was explaining. With Shiro even beginning to write down notes for his own thoughts on the matter.

“This is all certainly impressive, however the students won’t have much initiative without some sort of demonstration. Isn’t there someone else besides you who knows a good amount about Taijutsu?” One of the other teachers, A balding middle aged man with greyish silver hair, a small scar lining up the middle of his mouth from a battle that he had once gotten into. A small Tanto strapped to his side. He stared back at Reizo, right as Shiro would speak to give a suggestion.

“Why not have me and my sister spar in front of the children? She should know basic taijutsu, and we both can use some form of weaponry. It’d make the kids want to at least try it out if they have a good explanation of how far they can go even as a Genin.”

Some of the faculty were baffled by the previous Mizukages suggestion. Moku however let out a bounding scratchy roar at the suggestion. His laughter echoing through the halls before nodding his head towards the previous Mizukage.

“If you believe that your sister and you can provide some good entertainment for the students, then by all means. Those suggestions are certainly helpful Shoyu-San. I hope to see improvements with the students following some of these add ons to our curriculum.”

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Wed Jul 26, 2023 2:35 am
As Izu was on the way to Grand academy of Kiri per request of her sensei Shiro, she tought about her past experience in school and about the new addition to the village she had heard about. Indeed, Izu had heard rumors concerning a missing ninja who recently showed up to the gates at the docks of the hidden mist requesting asylum and who apparently decided to stay. From what Izu heard from the town folks talking about it, it was Shiro himself who interogated the foreigner at the gates, and who vouched for him to become a staying citizen of kirigakure. This meant that her sensei saw something great in that ninja, and it made Izu curious and eager to meet the newly arrived shinobi. But nonetheless, she was also skeptical and on her guard regarding that matter. ''This is really unusual. To show up like that and be accepted and granted the rank of chunin too that fast ? Either something is off, or the judgment of the higher ranks including Shiro is fucked up. Kiri is for the citizen of the hidden mist. There is enough strangers here already...''  tought to herself Izu, wary of the integration once again of a foreigner without them taking the time to truly be part of the village, both in its culture and way of life, and also in its political state, without taking the time to prove their loyalty... Loyalty. A word that, to Izu, meant a lot, but that she tought was more and more foreign and a distant concept in the village.

As she got closer to school, her mind drifted elsewhere, as she reminisced her time in class. The princial was always one of the favorite visage of the school to Izu, as he was a brutal and gritty sight, something that alligned with the values and spirit of kiri, as it was known to be a rough place, filled with folks endured by a brutal way of living, cruel and merciless, but also by weather hostile and difficult. He was truly a relic of the past, of the time of the bloody mist, and Izu admired the man for that. With him at the head of the school, she knew that the students would not get soft, and that the reputation and culture of kirigakure would keep its integrity and reputation abroad for being a place only for tough people, and a place that produced the most efficient killers in all the ninja world.

As she walked into the school, nostalgia hit her, as she saw the familiar corridors and doorframes of the classes she used to learn in. ''I remember, this was the class where we learn the substitution jutsu... and this one where we threw kunai and senbons at targets on the walls... Oh ! and this one where we learned to canalyse our chakra! ... and this was my favorite one, where we learned about the chakra system and the history of the hidden mist. Good times.'' said to herself Izu in her head. She was always a book worm at school, loving to learn about every jutsu known, about the history of the ninja world, and about the medical field and the inner workings of the human body and its chakra system.

As she got farther down the school complex, she went into the room that the teachers and school head gathered, her first time since her students years walking into this room as more than an academy student, and this time, it wasnt to get scolded for making the toilets explode with paper tags. As she entered the room, she could hear a discussion about the new Ninja being here to teach taijutsu and formulate a new program for the kids of the academy. As she heard his speech before making her presence known, she sighed at the mention of the Kumogakure way of the ninja, wich was very different than the way of kirigakure. As the foreign man expanded his ideas, Izu was more and more laughing a bit, finding the ideas soft and ridiculous, but not yet speaking her mind. As the speech ended, Izu tought about her opinions before speaking, making her timing perfect and calculated, as she wanted to be sure and tactical with her approach. She was however, very opinionated, and as the speech of the new ninja ended, she made her presence known by coughing a bit, as a way for people to notice her, as she was leaning on the side of the wall close to the door, a bit standing appart and not mingling with the others in the room, making her previous presence unknown until she coughed up for attention.

''First things first, the kids should be a team versus team, not a team versus a teacher. Learning to hit your friends and to not have mercy is an important thing, and it will help them learn that the objective is the priority in ninja life, not the feelings. Also, blunt weapons is for weak pussies, I dont know how they do it in Kumo, but here in the hidden Mist, learning the shinobi way include drawing blood, getting hurt, and getting over it. Don't try and soften our future generations with anything else than the brutality and truth of the ninja way.''  said Izu iwth a stern and low voice, expressing herself as confidantly as a proud hard standing oak. She was being dead serious, looking into the eye of the foreigner with an intense glare, her face devoid of smile and frowning lightly, expressing a bit of offense as she took badly to the suggestions of the newly hired man.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Reizo’s attention shifted around the room as he observed the crowd’s reaction to his proposal. They seemed to be mostly in agreement, which relieved Reizo. He wasn’t sure everyone would take his words seriously being a recent immigrant. Sure, he was hired to do this job, but that seldom meant everyone would be on the same page. His gaze then landed on a balding, middle aged veteran who voiced a suggestion regarding a demonstration. Just as Reizo was about to ask if there were any takers that he could spar, Shiro beat him to the punch.

The former Mizukage suggested he should spar his sister. His sister? I didn’t know he had a sister… was he hiding that from me when we communed? He showed his mother but not his sister? Something doesn’t quite add up here, Reizo thought, shooting a puzzled glance at the white haired swordsman. It was at this time that Reizo noticed a new chakra signature approaching the door. Reizo casually ignored it as he figured it was one of the students judging from its strength. Nobody seemed to pay the new signature any mind, or they lacked the ability to sense it at all. Reizo played along with the atmosphere of the room and decided he would do the same.

Well, he wanted to do that until the source of the signature made themselves rudely apparent to the faculty. The hot-headed teenager seemed to forget her place. She seemed too young to be a teacher, and Reizo could immediately deduce who this was based on her cavalier attitude in the presence of the former Mizuakge and her notoriously white pupils- the sign of a Byakugan. Reizo let her delude herself into believing her opinions mattered, only responding once she had finished.

”You must be Lord Shiro’s sister, I presume?” he would ask rhetorically, shaking his head and giving an incredulous look towards Shiro as if to say “you two are related?!” ”You’re making an awful lot of assumptions about my background and what I’m here for,” he would continue. The principal and vice principal were clearly well acquainted with Miss Hyuga, and were about to say something almost out of embarrassment for her treating their invited guest in such a manner, but Reizo signaled with his hand and a sideways glance at them that he was fine with it and would handle it in his own way.

”To be quite frank, it’s clear from your demeanor and personage that you have no idea about the brutality of which you speak, and that you’re sorely misinformed about the desolate and atrocious conditions of the land from which I hail. But it’s no matter, you’re still young. This naivete is a good thing,” Reizo would finish before adding one final quip. ”But if you insist on using sharp weapons and fighting to near certain death against your brother here, then by all means go ahead. Then we’d know for sure who’s more forgiving and who’s more… brutal.” With that last line, Reizo would add a bit of emphasis and a subtle tinge of mockery in mirroring her language. The delivery of the line would be accompanied with an intense leer at her that would send chills down her spine and peer right through her soul. The air in the room would have a foreboding, murderous chill to it- the tension palpable. It would affect everyone in the room to some degree, but Izu was the intended target of the effects (85 speed/power)..

Breaking the silence after a few seconds that would feel like an eternity to Izu, Reizo turned back towards the faculty and Shiro. ”Whatever conditions you want to set for this fight, Shiro, go ahead. I’m willing to referee if that’s alright with everyone here. I think having a proper demonstration is a great idea. We can gather the students together at the start of the next period, or whenever you guys would think is most appropriate,” Reizo would say, his attention first pointed at Shiro and then at the principal. Whatever the decision to be made, Reizo would likely play along with it and the students and staff could all be ushered towards the training facilities where the spar would take place.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Sun Jul 30, 2023 6:43 pm
Shiro understood that the reveal of his sister would cause some eyebrows to be raised. The situation here was already intense enough as is. He didn’t want to compromise Reizo’s trust with him not revealing that he had a sister within his own memories. As it was a very recent addition that had made him wonder just how little of this village that he had actually combed through. Would he have found her while being Mizukage? Would the situation change at all from how it was? The answers to these questions remained in the air, for now he turned his head towards Reizo. He was about to speak, yet was interrupted by his sister's own voice stabbing into the room, like a rapier through the armor of an opponent. She was already going on and on about the suggestions she would rather have for teams, that the shinobi should be fighting against each other in team fights rather than against a teacher. It was a decent idea that could help them in the future to have team battles inside of the academy. Collaboration jutsu was something that he wanted to use in the future, having mainly worked solo most of his life. The rest of the staff also listened in on the Genin. Yet the sudden crude comment about blunt weapons, and how Kumo was supposedly soft made the once Mizukage almost laugh out loud at his sister's own gung ho attitude. Some of the people in the room were surprised at the comment. Moroi, the second youngest of the group besides Shiro would try and get up, yet Reizo’s hand motion was enough to have them sit down. However, the one who wasn’t going to sit down was Shiro himself.

“Now now, let’s not rip into each other-”

The sudden insinuation that they should fight with real swords, to try and kill each other. Almost made Shiro’s blood begin to boil. Both his sister and his trusted ally were arguing about how one should be teaching the next generation. The utterance of Reizo’s tone, along with Izu’s own brash entrance and insulting someone who he knew was brutal, who he could trust. Right as Reizo’s own aura began to rise up, bellowing out in a murderous, almost foreboding roar. An even bigger one would befall the entire room. Shiro’s own display of his authority would be bound out across the entire floor, a slight shaking could be felt from underneath everyone’s feet. A black and blue aura surrounded the once Kage. With his own eyes peering towards Reizo as to get him to quiet down. His eyes glaring at both his sister and Genin, along with his trusted new chunin.

“I will NOT have both of you try to tear into each other. You have not seen the brutality of what Kumogakure is capable of Izu. Nor have you any right to insult his methods of teaching. However.”

The entire room shook as Shiro’s gaze locked towards Reizo specifically. Staring down at the chunin, almost directly peering into his soul with his mere gaze. His own murderous intent staring back at his newest comrade

“Do not attempt to threaten my student Reizo with the prospect of me being brutal. You are a Kiri shinobi now. I don’t need infighting amongst our own.”

His gaze, shifting back to Izu, as his display would come to a screeching halt. He took a deep breath. His face was strained almost, before addressing the criticism necessary with his own suggestions that would be important for everyone to at least know of. His tone changing to match his much more tired expression.

“The use of swords has always been something that Kiri is known for, however that has led to a lot of accidental casualties. Izu, we’ve lost more times than we’ve won, our neighbors have beaten us so badly that they could kill us all right now. The use of training swords is necessary so as to not cripple our own in an accident. Real swords are something that should be respected, not treated as toys that can cause harm.

I also would like to at least give my sister some credit, team battles would also help the strength of our academy students, it would allow them to grow more and more if they know how to fight against each other. However the teacher aspect will push kids to try harder if they know they’ll get some kind of reward out of it. It’s not super concrete, but it’s better than us trying to change something that simply does not work. Blunted weapons will make someone respect a real sword when they see one.”

He took another deep breath, before beginning to walk out of the room, placing his hand on Izu’s shoulder.

“If you wish to fight me with a real sword, then do so. If you wish to fight me with the training swords, do so. The people will respect you either way for fighting. Maybe Kai will show up as well.”

He gave a small pat on her shoulder.Turning his head to give a small, apologetic glance towards Reizo and the rest of the staff. As he made his way towards the training grounds, expecting his sister to follow.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

As Reizo told her what he tought of her attitude and confrontation, Izu was cold, finding truths in what he had just said. It was true, she spoke too soon about him, without even knowing a single thing about his past. But to Izu, the part that bothered her the most was the part of a stranger telling kiri academy what to do without taking into account the culture and ways of the hidden mist. Nonetheless, the personnal attacks saying she didnt knew what brutality was, and that she was naive made her smile. She did knew brutality, and a lot of it. And she wasnt naive. She maybe judged and formed an opinion too soon on the new ninja, but she wasnt naive regarding brutality and the hardships of life. As Reizo said that, he looked into Izu eyes in a debilitating way, a cold gaze of murder Izu knew. But his was different: it was filled with intentions, as if it was the same gaze with the same intensity that usually appear mere seconds before taking a life, or meanwhile doing so. This affected Izu, as she had seen this look before and was impressed and shook by it. After all, maybe this man did know hardships too. She was too quick to judge him. Lesson learned.

As the ninjas exchanged gazes with intensity, Shiro abruptly interupted their conflict, putting both of them in their place. As Shiro put back Izu to her place, she maintained a cold face, but inside felt sorry for acting like this. However, when her older brother mentionned the need to use blunt weapons and not sharp ones to diminish accidents with them, she couldnt help but disagree again. Using sharp swords didnt mean the students would kill each others, as they could be instructed to not do finishing move or forbidden to kill their fellow students, and blunt didnt mean they couldnt do it either. To Izu, blades made the students more sharp, as mistakes were punished with more intensity, and therefore made them learn way faster by making them have no choice but to thrive and aim for fighting without mistakes, or to learn to endure the pain of real combat and push trough it, both trough the physical hurt of it, and trough the psychological fear induced by the possibility of dying to those hits.

As Izu whispered thoses nuance to her brother ears as to not disrupt the room again, she also said the following, but this time out loud :

'' I don't mind using sharp weapons against my brother. We know pain and embrace it, and I am without fear towards his blade too. We know not to kill or injure each other too much. I am ready to spar with you sensei Shiro at any given time in front of the classes.'' ushered the girl with a cold tone, seemingly full of assurance towards her beliefs.

Reizo’s aura would be swiftly met with Shiro’s own Display of Power, a skill that the ex-Kumo Jounin was familiar with, but had forgotten in more recent years out of disuse. Shiro’s aura was powerful to be sure, however Reizo was not shaken (252 stats). He couldn’t help but feel that the Mizukage was holding back a bit for the sake of everyone else in the room. Scanning the crowd’s expressions, the immigrant could tell that the instructors felt much the same. It was not the full strength of the Hyuga on display here.

Although it was far from a humbling experience, Reizo lowered his gaze and killing intent out of respect for his friend and apologized. ”My apologies Shiro, I did not mean any disrespect. There has been a misunderstanding. I was suggesting that you would be merciful. However, I’ll take my words back as I didn’t mean to start anything. Please, let us move on and into the courtyard for the demonstration,” the Chuunin would apologize, before continuing with a request of the staff. ”Principal Moku, Vice Principal Moroi, please gather the students, if you would be so kind?”

With that, Reizo would follow the direction of Shiro out of the conference room and towards the open field that could be used for such demonstrations. Despite all of the warnings from both Reizo and Shiro, and the oppressive auras emanating from both, the Genin still insisted on fighting with sharp weapons. It was an accident waiting to happen, but at this point nothing more could be said or done to dissuade her. She was certainly stubborn and perhaps reckless. For that, she had earned Reizo’s respect. It would be difficult for the Chunin to truly understand the foolhardiness of wanting to fight a Kage-level opponent with potentially lethal consequences in a mere demonstration in front of children, but he respected her drive and unwavering mettle to stick with her initial suggestion and live by it. That brand of intrepidity was a novelty in the often hypocritical ninja-world.

Severance - Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P] Empty Re: Kicking Kids for the Good of the Village [P]

Shiro’s chest began to heave as he took a heavy sigh for his friend's apologetic tone. He’d have to talk to Reizo later about it. He might have made a mistake chastising his friend for potentially threatening his student. Yet he just couldn’t allow it to happen, not right in front of him anyways. His body continued to move, only giving a small smidge of a smirk when his sister had still opted to fight using actual swords. If she really wants him to fight her with a sword, then so be it. He could respect her own stance on the matter, however the risks of swords was also something that became apparent. What was a sword, but a tool used for combat. He continued walking along the halls he had once been accustomed to seeing for most of his life. Some started the academy at an early age, others would start it later in life. The greenish blue hallways, the slight creek with every step gave him memories of a time where he had not as much responsibility, but also not nearly as much care as he did now. The academy was a place for the rough, and for the dangerous. Yet he found comradery inside of a place like this. Where he would find those that wished to cross paths with his blade. Yet now the one who wished to spar with him, to prove their own viewpoints was right. It made him almost excited to spar with his sister. Blade vs Blade, Hyuga vs Hyuga. It was a battle that was practically destined to happen one way or another. The rest of the student body would love to watch a spectacle like this. It was the main event just waiting to happen.

The Vice Principal and Principal would have called on the teachers to gather the students. Some of which were young, some of which were a bit older. Yet all of them had at least one thing in common. Most were excited to see the fight that was about to go down. Shiro was wearing his lightweight bodysuit underneath the Black muscle shirt and black pants that he was wearing. That was already underneath a blue and white sleeveless vest that went down to his abdomen. His sword was strapped to his sword, the blade was one meter long, being held inside of a one meter long black and blue Tsuba. His Byakugan eye was already active as he walked onto the training grounds. A small smile was plastered on his face as the room erupted in whispers of who he was. Some guessed correctly that he was the previous Kage that had been disgraced. While others pointed him out as the newest sensei that was training the graduates from last year. Yet here he was about to fight his own sister for the amusement of the entire school.

“Last warning Sis. We can change out to practice swords if you’d like?” His suggestion was suddenly drowned out by the massive boos that were hollered his way. People really seemed to want to use actual swords inside of combat. It was practically typical at this point. They’d need to start having medical students on standby-

He just realized something, this would make Kiri ninja want to use Medical ninjutsu more to heal injuries… His smile only widened. His pearly white showed themselves fully against his sister. The match was soon to begin, as his right hand rested on the hilt of his blade. Getting ready to draw his sword at a moment's notice. Ready to see just what his sister had to offer in terms of combat.
