Welcome to the Academy: A new Class of young ones!

Yuma's gaze would shift from Emiri to Nokino Sensei. The woman, who bore between her lips a cigarette that was ready to be lit, had a puzzling look on her face. On one had she looked quite displeased at the commotion that Yuma had helped to insinuate, but on the other hand it looked as though she had a smile upon her face; almost like she was happy. For what reason Yuma did not know, but he could only assume that it was because the young Hyuga boy had opted to stand up for the even younger Uchiha girl in the classroom that they all shared.

'I screwed up big this time...' The young boy thought to himself as he signed and blinked slowly. 'And on the first day in my new class, too...'

When Emiri, in her meek and quiet tone, thanked Yuma for his help with the bullies, she told him that he really didn't need to have helped her. Yuma looked down at the Uchiha girl and smiled, not sure if she had meant this in such a way that she was worried he would be getting into trouble for his retaliatory actions or if she had planned on dealing with the bullies herself. Either way the deed had already been done, and Yuma had resigned himself to whatever fate that Nokino Sensei had in store for him.

"Its all good, Emiri." Yuma replied with a sincere smile upon his face. "Ive been going to this school for three years now, and it has always pained me to see bullies like those get away with their antics and troublemaking. This time I was just thrown over the edge, I guess."

In swift fashion Nokino Sensei would calm the rest of the class down. She advised them to go wait out in the hall, minus the two bullies, Emiri, and Yuma himself. Yuma gulped, knowing full well what was about to come. The older Iburi-clanned woman would make her way up the stairs to the row in which the short fight had happened, if it could have even been called that, and she demanded in a raised and rather scary tone for all of the four students to sit on the ground on their knees. Yuma would oblige without a hint of hesitation on his part, and Emiri and the two bullies would do just the same. She would start her small lecture by chewing into the bullies, calling them 'fucking idiots', to which Yuma let out an almost inaudible snicker. The woman was right, after all, and she would continue to advise the lot of them that, as future shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato, they would all need to focus on cooperation. She was right in that statement as well, especially if all of prospective shinobi and kunoichi who attended the ninja academy wanted to survive in the village's selective and nonnegotiable four man squad system. This system of teamwork had been something that, much like the concept of villages and the Kage system, had originated in Konohagakure no Sato many, many years ago, and it was something that had been replicated in many of the other shinobi villages throughout the world with varying results. Yuma himself couldn't help but be a bit nervous about his future team in the future, but it was something that he would accept nonetheless.

''Now. You two..." Nokino Sensei said, turning her attention to Yuma and Emiri. Yuma gulped again from pure instinct, worried now more than ever about the consequences of his action. Nokino had advised him at the end of their previous meeting that she wanted no more shenanigans from the young Hyuga boy, and Yuma had gone and tossed those expectations out the window in a heartbeat. When the woman not only complemented him on his act of valor, but also his use of Taijutsu, however, Yuma's eyes widened slightly. A moment ago he had wanted to piss his pants with fear, but here his new sensei was complimenting him.

"Th-thank you, Nokino Sensei..." Yuma replied with a sigh of relief, still keeping himself planted firmly on his knees. "I'll keep up with my training for sure..."

Nokino would then go on to reinforce her previous warning to Emiri, and Yuma hoped that the young Uchiha girl would heed the warning well. The now soaked Mr. Cottontail was in a sorry state from having been drenched in water and stomped on by the two bullies, and Yuma would hate to have seen what would have happened if there had been more of the unruly bastards around at the time of the waterboarding. With that being said, however, Nokino would tell the four remaining students to rise back to their feet and collect their things, for they were finally going to get their little fieldtrip underway. As the students walked through the all too familiar halls, Yuma would walk next to Emiri and Mr. Cottontail almost as a protective figure, and all the while keeping a close eye on Junji and Riku. The two of them had decided upon keeping as much distance between Yuma and themselves as they could, and anytime the would lock eyes with Yuma, even for just a split second, they would draw even more distance between them. During one of the stops, in which Nokino was in short describing the innerworkings of the school's library, Yuma would nudge Emiri on the shoulder.

"If you ever need any help with training, or if you ever just need to talk, just let me know."

Yuma would half pay attention to the rest of the tour/ All the while his cheeks started becoming red as he heard the whispers of some of his new female classmates that had been impressed with his actions earlier in the day. Was this the first step towards getting his name out in the world that he had needed? Soon enough the tour would come to an end, and Nokino would tell the students to be back at the school no later than eight o'clock a.m. the next morning for their first official lesson of the semester. Once dismissed, Yuma would remove himself from the school grounds and resigned himself to the village's training grounds for more personalized training...
