Working Towards Circular Dest...the theme is dead.
Mon Jun 03, 2024 12:17 pm
This was going to be his final jutsu training session for a very long time. He had been working on his medical jutsu all day but now he was determined to improve his offensive ninjutsu. His chakra nature was, strangely enough, fire, he knew this would make it significantly more difficult for him to connect with his Senju heritage and unlock the wood release. He would have to not only get stronger physically but would also have to improve his chakra control to take on two separate chakra natures, one being the direct opposite of the one he was naturally born with. Regardless that was for future him to worry about, current Hiroma has to deal with the issue of only being able to heal damage and not dish it himself.
It's not like he couldn't do anything on the battlefield at all, he had been trained in martial arts and stuff but being a ninja is all about ninjutsu, and more importantly, it's what made him a Senju. Even if he wasn't naturally talented in wood release until he was strong enough he would find ways to circumvent this weakness, if he could even call it that. It's not like most shinobi are going around spawning trees from the ground, Even most Senju members are late on unlocking their wood release, with some dying before they can even tap into their blood's potential. Not him though, he would do whatever it takes to make his ancestors proud, though at this point it's quite obvious that is not the reason he does that.
Hiroma sat down and started charging his chakra, feeling it wrap around him. Unlike healing chakra, he did not need to try as hard to try to 'create something' new, instead, all he had to do was dig into what he already had, his burning passion. Cheesy way to put it but that is exactly how he thought when converting his chakra to fire. He would draw in on his inner motivation and utilize it to transform his chakra into flames. His inner reason for how he transforms his chakra is what keeps him satisfied despite not being born with water or earth release, he is not as tranquil as water and he has never been as grounded as earth, so his personality drew him to fire. Lightning would have made sense too but he was more a raw power kind of fighter, speed was something he appreciated but pure destruction fit his personality better, as megalomaniac as that sounded.
The jutsu he was trying to learn today was the 'great fireball technique', the jutsu that was created and mastered by the Uchiha clan, his clan's rivals, and it also serves as the symbol of their control over fire chakra. Learning it as his first real fire technique would allow him to put himself up there with some of the greatest fire jutsu users out there, despite the version he was learning himself, only being C-Rank. C-Rank was still higher than his own rank in the village so one could say at this very moment he was taking advantage of the talent in his blood to work on a jutsu that was significantly above his normal weight class, and to that person, Hiroma would say 'you are correct'. What's the point of being talented in Ninjutusu if you don't hit it out of the park every time? He had come to realize he also had a talent for medical jutsu as well. he was capable of learning two separate jutsu in one day without any help or guidance from a more experienced ninja. Why he had a talent for this could be chalked up to his bloodline, or more horrifying, he had a natural desire to help people out, and that manifested in this way. Regardless, while training his [Healing Hands], he went through a phase in which he tried to project the healing chakra out like a projectile. While that was quite stupid in hindsight, it got him thinking.
When he released the healing chakra from his finer tips he lost control, to him, the fingertips were the place he felt like he could control his chakra the best, but it was to no avail with healing chakra. But in terms of ninjutsu, fire, and wind ninjutsu especially, there are plenty of jutsu that release the technique from the mouth but still are capable of being controlled by the user. Hiroma always assumed that it had something to do with the structure of the elements themselves, regardless, it was time for him to figure it out. He performed the hand signs Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar and transformed the chakra in his mouth into fire. At this point, he would have to inflate it in his cheeks till he made it dense enough before blowing it out of his mouth and contracting his lips right after he felt it was ready. If he changed the final hand sign his chakra would be structured in such a way that he could continue adding more chakra to the fireball after he released it, making it grow in size and remain in the world for longer.
All this internalizing what he had read put him out of focus for a bit and the fire stayed in his mouth a bit too long and burned the inside of his mouth slightly. Hiroma flinched from the pain and was forced to spit out the chakra haphazardly, forcing it to land just barely missing his feet before exploding in a torrent of flames. burning his feet slightly. "Ow!" He jumped back clutched the tip of his style and stepped on his toe to put the fire out. This was a rare moment of him losing his focus and cool just because he got cocky, is this what possessing natural talent would mean for his work ethic and care when it came to his ninja work? Pathetic, he was almost glad he taught himself this lesson, but he couldn't just let the wound get infected so he quickly used his [Bodily Resoration] to heal his foot and mouth to good as new. He did wonder, however, even more so than fire, Wood Release was his birthright, something that was in his blood and soul before he was even born. Were mistakes like this going to happen when he developed it? Was it only a matter of time part of the childishness that led to the pain he is feeling in his mouth right now? No, he would continue working, even if he constantly made childish mistakes like this in the process, that is how he operated, wood or no wood,
H performed the handseals once again Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar and began forming the fire chakra in his mouth, this time fully committing to focusing on his control. He wanted to memorize the sweet spot so he could do it through muscle memory alone. In a battle, he wouldn't be given the time to let it stew so he would not only have to keep the temperature and texture consistent, but the point of release as well. After reaching the point right before he was burnt he blew out and released the fireball into the training yard. It would dissipate at around 20 meters away from him so he wouldn't have to worry about any strays hitting other people. Overall, he was pleased with his performance, but he would refrain from jutsu training for a bit. He was exhausted after all.
Hiroma didn't take anything with him to the training grounds so after he was finished he simply started making his way to the Senju clan building so he could take some well-deserved rest after all that hard work.
