Task: Reports have come in on something or someone lurking in the sewers, investigate to make sure everything is alright.

Two shinobi were assigned on such task, whether it was right or wrong a mission was a mission. There had been seen reports of something lurking in the sewers manically eating everything in it's path. You can hear it's deadly hollows by mid afternoon chomping down another innocent corpse. Gaki stood tying on his shoes. A grim smile as him and his teammate would stand in front of a sewer plate.

Drake had been told of his mission to accompany a fellow shinobi into the sewers of Konoha. The reports stated that something was possibly a threat within the sewers of Konoha. He smiled slightly as he tested his Tanto strap on his shoulder to make sure he would not lose it and the Katana at his belt. He always wore the Katana when not training. He would could not use the katana like a proper weapon, but it made a good Substation tool. He noticed his partner, an unnamed shinobi to him as of yet, Was laceing his shoes. Drake liked his blue ninja shoes, They didn't require him to tie anything. Though seeing this quickly reminded him to make sure the ties for his headband were tight. He was not sure if he could get a replacement headband,and if he could, how he would go about doing it. He spoke for the first time. "Um, My name is Drake, Thank you for working with me. Let's do our best!"

The sun's heat reflected from his headband and as his teammates introduction Gaki spoke proudly, " I'm Gaki, Number one Taijutsu user of the hidden leaf! Let's explore this tunnel and what not to see what's really cracking!". Gaki gripped the plate and flung it open giving his teammate a hand sign to follow him. Jumping into the tunnel it was a long drop, Gaki's eyes expanded for the tunnel leaded to a junky flood of green water. Dropping with a large splash Gaki looked around trying to examine where the ferocious beast would be. Just then a large pridefull yell came with a scream of terror and a large chomp.

Drake smiled at Gaki's powerful introduction and way of speaking. It made Drake comfortable to know he was teamed with someone who was not super serious. He watched with a certain measure of awe as Gaki pulled free the manhole and dropped quickly below, after giving him to hand sign to follow suit. The stench was the first thing he noticed as his teammate made to enter the manhole. The smell of rotted food, and human waste. This was going to be an unpleasant experience. He watched Gaki drop down with out a hint of hesitation. Drake had to give him some credit, that was ballsy. Just as Drake was preparing to climb down he heard the scream. This was no time for cowardice. He dropped down the opening, his legs bending slightly to brace for the impact. His hand pulling free that Tanto he wore on his back as he landed in the water with a splash, Looking wildly for the source of the scream and Gaki as his adjusted to the light within the tunnel.

As a result the cry had seemed to come from a shinobi and then suddenly the sewer plate closed and everything went PITCH black. Gaki looked around to where he couldn't see Drake anymore and then 5 stomp towards them. A large creature came shooting flames from it's mouth at them. The fire showed light as Gaki jumped towards Drake to get him out of the way. A large explosion occured wirh the sewer waters creating a wave. And then suddenly Gaki lost grip and they were all sent in a current. Would they make it? What was the deal, was the creature this powerful to do this? All thoughts rang inside of his head as the current swallowed them all dry.

Drake only had a few moments to look around before the light vanished from the sewer due to the manhole being recapped. Whoever it was above, Drake disliked them quite alot. He heared the stomps in the water and reacted in kind, Lowering his body mass so that he was better balanced. The next occurance was the blast of fire that relit the cave wall for a moment. Drake didn't even have a chance to properly identify the beast before his ally Gaki was coming toward him. Drake refirmed his grip upon the tanto as he awaited orders,only to receive the wall of water that had followed the explosion he heard. The current pushed them both down the dark tunnle, his grip never leaving his sword's hilt.

As a result, water swarmed all around them. It was able to make them see a clear vision of what was going on since the creature seemed to be spitting large amounts of fire. Gaki didn't want to miss this chance. Seeing that it was some kind of salamander, Gaki swam with the current towards the beast sending a large and massive structure. The kick would be aiming at it's rib cage leading a large crack towards it's spine. Gaki smiled as his metal sandals had did there trick. Gaki then was swept by the current as they had reached rock bottom, attempting to grip his teammates leg and send him onto the salamander he proceeded. They would both land on the salamander as he stomped it hard as they crashed rock bottom to the sewer floor being swept upwards.

MISSION COMPLETE

Drake was submerged in the water, his view clear due to the salamanders fire. It was almost ironic that the creatures fire was what was allowing him to see as well as endangering him. HE watched his partner Gaki slam his foot into the creatures rib cage and even though the water could hear the cracks of the killing blow. Drake was happy Gaki had been able to do this, and was not being hoisted out of the water. He gave Gaki a weak thumbs up and smiled at his missions completion. It was time to go home for a shower and then a bath.
