Seeing Spirits.. {Solo training topic.}
Sun Dec 30, 2012 11:03 pm
Kio stood in his room, alone. The house having only one, single human life within the interior of his home. His family, all gone, dead. He was the last one living within this, rather old home. In his room there was a window, that looked down at the streets of Kumogakure. The streets were empty, as the clouds in the sky, which weren't very far from the village going up, began to form. The sky turning into a dark grey color as the clouds blocked most rays of light from entering and shining down upon the village. It seemed to be a rather sad, gloomy day. Kio only sighed, turning around to his rather plain room. He looked at his bed, the sheets, blankets and pillows all being the same color as grey. The dust on the ground being blown over across the room slightly as he walked towards the door leading from his bedroom to the hall way, or from the hallway to his bedroom if one were to be in the hall heading for the same door. There were three doors located in his room, one led to a bathroom, a small, and old bathroom with no bathtub, or shower, it was a simple bathroom with a sink and toilet. There was another bathroom, two more being exact, one in the room which had used to been his parents, and one in the hall which had no toilet, a sink and bathtub. His bedroom's floor, like the hallway, living room, dining room, and any other room other than the few bathrooms and the kitchen, all had a wooden floor. Which, had been quite dusty as Kio wasn't the one to be cleaning up. He sighed, reaching his left hand out, as he approached the door. He had past his closet, inside the sliding door was clothing that Kio often wore for missions, training, and sometimes clothes for just staying at home. He never really done anything, so he would stay at home with whatever he would grab first in his closet. He grabbed the knob to the door to the hall, and began to twist his right over to the left. Eventually, he stopped at the point to where he couldn't twist his wrist any longer without damaging it. The knob had turned to the point to where it wouldn't turn any longer. Kio pulled back towards him, the door wold follow as he stepped back onl a few seconds. He took a step towards the hall once the door was out of his way, and would notice a small, light, zooming past the hall and downstairs. Kio's heart beat would grow more fast, he was slightly shocked. Kio had no way of defending himself, he had only been an academy student. He had no weapons, he had no techniques that he could use to defend himself. He calmed himself quickly, in less than a second he was back to normal. He stepped into the hall, wondering. Was he being attacked? Why would a shinobi attack him? And which nation, which village was this shinobi from? The questions raced through his mind as he stepped towards the set of stairs that had been built along with the house, constructed to be perfectly safe for whoever would one day live in the house. Kio, and his past parents had lived in the house since it had been sold to them. Now, it was just Kio.
The hallway's wooden floor creaked, as he walked towards the stairs slowly looking for the light he had seen speeding across his hallway floor. He looked down the stairway, looking across the railing people could hold on to when coming up the stairs or down, he looked slightly in the next room noticing the light once more, he began to walk down the stairs. As he stepped onto the first step, it would creek, the strange light noticing and speeding away once more. Kio sighed, quickly going down to attempt to chase the weird light.

He continued, now fully downstairs and still hunting down the strange light he had seen. When it moved it was a blur, when it was completely standing still it was still a blur. This had been rather strange, he had never really learned anything like this in the academy, was a shinobi using a type of technique? It is rather strange, and can be dangerous. He moved with complete caution, thinking over plans for the creature carefully, though, he could never truly know what he was up against. The creature was humanoid and had extreme speed from what he had already seen, which had led him to believe it had been a shinobi, although there was no way to be sure, so he had to move, think, and act with caution. Due to him not having any idea on what he had been truly up against, he would have to create a few plans by studying the creature as it roamed around the house.
The floor continued to creek as he walked, even when he tried to remain silent, it would always give up his position in the house leading the creature to safety away from Kio. This had become rather troublesome, he needed to think of a way to make it to the creature without his position in the house being given away by the house itself. The house was old, and beginning to fall apart. Not litterally, however it was currently becoming too old to live in. It had been around for sometime now, how long was unknown to Kio, however perhaps if he asked around he could find out, however knowing how long the house had been around was not Kio's largest problem at the moment. He began thinking, noticing the room he was in had quite a few places to hide in. Yes, that would indeed work. He had made up his plans to study the creature. He hid, underneath a table which had clothe from the top of the table to where it hid under the table just enough for Kio to hide there. He waited, for the creature to walk, dash, sprint, jog, or zoom into the room. With the house quiet, he would wonder whether or not the creature would ever move from where it was to where Kio is. He waited in complete silence, suppressing the sound his breath had made, making it to where, according to sound, there was no one in the room where Kio was. Unless the creature had the ability to sense chakra, which had been highly unlikely, it should be wondering what Kio was doing and where he was. The creature having the ability to sense anything was unlikely due to the fact it had been relying on sound to locate Kio, therefore it would have the ability to hear, however not being capable of sensing at all.
Kio continued to wait, the silence becoming both peaceful, yet at the same time annoying. He continued to wait, noticing the creature who was a complete blur entering the room. Though, it had been weird, he could see it more clearly than he could a while ago when he was chasing it all around his house. The creature seemed to be a human, although most of it was a blur he could see the face clearer than the rest of the body. It had indeed been a human being, though, the blurry parts of the body were rather strange, making him thing it was a shinobi still. The human simply walked out of the room after noticing Kio, and the human phased right through the wall. It was strange, almost as if it had been intangible.
Kio got out from under the table and went back towards the staircase, the wooden floor creaking as he walked, it began to get annoying. Perhaps he could hire someone to come out and fix that? He hadn't known, perhaps he would just move into a small apartment, after today he felt rather unsafe being in his current home. He would begin to walk up the staircase, the creeks each step made. Once at the top he began to head for a room right across from the staircase, his parent's old room. His parents, had died, once Kio had entered the academy, however Kio hadn't cared much about their deaths. He reached with his right arm, opening the door. He began to search for whatever he could find, belonging to his mother. What he had been looking for was a book like thing, perhaps a scroll that would hopefully explain what had happened here today.
He found a book, in the old closet of his parents. Currently there had been a bunch of old, dusty clothing with a few boxes from his parent's childhoods. He had dug through the boxes to find a book, a diary of when his mother had been a child. He began to look through the pages, looking for any clues which would tell Kio exactly what had happened here today, what strange shinobi that had been, what type of technique that was, anything. He had some doubts that he would find exactly what he was looking for in the book, however it wouldn't have hurt to check. Within the first few twenty pages his mother would note seeing a strange being that could pass right through the walls, levitate, and fly up to the second floor. After asking her father, Kio's grandfather, she was told that it had been the ability of the Okinaga, to see spirits. Kio had found exactly what that being was, well, he's assuming it had been a spirit, and hoping it was. He had seen a ghost, a ghoul, a soul that of a dead person, that had been currently wandering around his house. Why though? It was strange for it to have been in his house, he feared he may never know the answer. Slightly, he wished he would not find out the true answer.
