Blood In The Waters

Azuki stood tall keeping composure. Letting Oda swing his haymaker Azuki exploded back at the last second. Seemingly being struck  turning his neck  to the right . Letting the fist narrowly miss his cheek while snapping to grab Oda's wrist with his left hand. With a his full body weight and force Azuki would attempt to drag and snatch. Dragging Oda forward and knocking him off balance,  Azuki let go of the arm immediately if he landed the grab and pull. Using his momentum  rapidly spinning clockwise into a furious back fist with his right hand. He aimed at the back of Oda's neck aiming for a deft and precise bro to smash him into the water. His arm more like a whip then a limb, the brutality was  a sign of a respect for a battle well fought.If landed Azuki would call for the medical ninja calling for the barrier around them to fall down.Cracking his neck and jaw he felt the sting of the repeated blows. The shimmering dome of pinkish purple energy phasing out of existence. "Well fought then young man, although it seems we're about the same age."

He said casually walking off but not before bowing. Azuki made sure to bow to everyone on his way out. It had seemed potential was not lost yet in the cesspool of stagnation.Inside the depths of his soul Azuki floated aimlessly alongside his atman spirit. "That was quite brutal master." He chimed replaying the events of the spar. Azuki looked at him with a blank yet calm expression. "Please, you've been lying dormant within my soul all my life Akuma. You mean to say that was brutality?" Both of them chuckled, as for reality Azuki had a peaceful expression. Surprising considering he wore the blood of his own ninja leaving the training grounds. There was much yet to come of Tsukigakure, such glory for such a short lived tenure.

Oda knew on some level that Azuki was holding back, he just didn’t realize just how much until he was face down onto the ground, his entire body buzzing as if given a charlie horse. It was only a blur really, but in that blur Azuki had deftly dodged, spun, and delivered a strike to his neck that shook Oda to his bones. He briefly attempted to get up from the ground before collapsing back down, he was spent. From his lying position on the ground, his face resting against the surface of their battle. He barely registered the compliment given, although it did knock him out of his rage.He watched his General walk away from the fight, calling in the medics as he did so. Oda attempted once more to get up but by then the medics had reached him and were advising him to stay down. He shrugged them off with an uncharacteristic glare, his Terumi lineage flaring up in anger again.

With a wobbly stance he yelled at Azuki as he walked away. Feigning a fighting stance only briefly with a determined look on his face, before flashing a big grin and relaxing his posture. He gave a big thumbs up, a familiarity already forming, although this familiarity was in a different language, the language of fighting. “Good fight Bossman!” He said with his usual enthusiasm, although he winced at the pain in his body from the beating. “Looking forward to another.” He gave a bow, gingerly, before returning to his collapsed position, the very act of rising and bowing to his general was agonizing, and Oda finally allowed the medics to heal and take care of him.

As he did so his mind raced with energy and potential, the spar had opened up so many possibilities in his mind, and it was his first chance to meet Azuki, a legendary figure within Tsuki. He grinned to himself as he lay on the ground being tended to, his body might have been broken, but a fire had lit in his eyes that would not easily be snuffed out.
