Mission
The pounding sound of a fast heartbeat echoed through her body. Thump thump thump. Bed sheets clung onto the shivering body of a young woman drenched with sweat. Thump
Suddenly the trembling woman sat up from where she laid. Her striking blue hues wide as she sprung awake. Her soft lips panting as her surroundings started to become familiar. It must have been another night terror. The trembling and her frightened state seemed to evaporate, as she gained her senses. Her panting subsides. Ookami remained sitting upon her messy bed. Her bedsheets wrapped around her small petite frame. Ookami closed her eyes momentarily, her long lashes kissing the top of her cheekbones. A sigh breathed from her lips. How ridiculous she felt, after the way she reacted to such a night terror. Now that she was conscious, it no longer effected her. She opened her eyes to gaze upon one of her windows. A little bit of bleak sunshine peeped from the curtains.
It was time for her to start her day. The genin managed to crawl out of her bed and escape her clingy bedsheets. She was not very excited about the sweat that clung to her skin. With that she began her day cleansing herself with a shower and dressing into her black attire of soft flexible material. Black shorts with fishnets underneath, combat boots, and a black tank top. After getting dressed, the genin moved to grab a worn, black hooded cloak from her closet. It was nothing impressive and was rather old. Her delicate hands tied the cloak around her small shoulders, before heading out the door of her home.

As she left the door of her comfortable home, the genin would be greeted by very unpleasant winds. An invisible force tugged at her hair. White strands whipped violently around her head as she moved her hands up as if to shield herself from some of the force. Ookami fought the urge to walk back into the house and forget about the day. Today was going to be a wet one.
The genin fought her way through the village. Pulling the cloak tightly around her to keep the wind from snatching it. There must be a storm going on. Living here within a village surrounded by large bodies of water, there was bound to be some chaos from the shores. The white haired woman had yet to know how bad. She was making her way towards the cafe, the thought of some peppermint tea sounded lovely to make up for her disastrous morning. Before she could finish making her venture to the cafe, Ookami would be stopped by the villagers fellow ninja. A single man stood in her path, with a parchment held out towards her. Her blue eyes gazed upon the parchment as she gently took it. The paper dotted with wetness, perhaps water, and some of the ink written was starting to blur together. Fortunately Ookami was still able to read what was written. When she went to look up towards the ninja, he would have already been gone.
She gave a soft nod to herself as her hand moved to pocket the parchment. The peppermint tea refreshment would just have to wait a little. Turns out she mistaken the storm's strength. People located closer to the village's walls and near the shore lines was having difficulty. The parchment that was handed to her contained a list of names, and the locations they needed her to check on. There was people who may need her aid. The storm was picking up, Ookami could tell by the way the wind picked up. Droplets began to splatter against the concrete at her feet. The rain had reached farther within the village.

Every storm brings something that calm seas don't. The white haired kunoichi rushed her way towards the listed locations upon the given parchment. She made the decision to work her way from the top of the list, to the bottom. The parchment must have been listed reports that was received from citizens who was in desprate need of help. The first location she was headed towards was near Kirigakure's shorelines. It was a report of a salesman who needed help carrying his displayed goods into the safety of his shop.
Ookami was approaching the perimeters of the listed location. The rain had dramatically increased within a short time, beating against the fabrics of her clothes and soaking them. She proceeded to ignore the clinginess of her wet attire as the shop came within her line of view. The salesman was desperately trying to drag a large cart of food across the ground. His hair plastered against his face as the rain beated down on him. Ookami quickly rushed over to provide her aid. Taking the other end of the cart within her hands, before using the strength of her legs to lift it. She felt the pressure of the wooden cart press against her smooth palms. As the cart was lifted on her end, the salesman lifted the other. The two of them work as one to carry the heavy cart through the doors and within his dry shop. They moved to the back corner before lowering the load. The atmosphere within the shop was much more calmer and dry, yet the screaming of the winds was still there. The salesman had the look of gratefulness displayed upon his face.
With that the two continued with the work. There was one more cart that needed to be carried inside, away from the wet rain. Just like the last one, they positioned themselves at each side of the cart and lifted it. Carrying it through the doors and setting it down beside the first cart, towards the back. Some materials was wet, but not enough to introduce extreme damages. Ookami retrieved a towel from the salesman and proceeded to drying off the cart and some of the contents within. As she did this, the salesman went back outside to gather up his stand. Taking the table within his hands and dragging it inside away from the raging elements. The kunoichi finished drying the contents. There was nothing else the salesman needed help with. He made his way towards her, thanking her kindly for her help. If it wasn't for her, he believed that his precious merchandise would have been ruined. Ookami said nothing, but bowed her head politely. With that she left the shop to head towards her next listed destination.

Re: Rising Waters {B-Rank}

The rain seemed to refuse to let up. She briefly looked down at her clothing, which now clung tightly to her skin as if if was plastered there. She could feel the water weight that dragged at her fabrics. For a moment she would look embarrassed by the clingy fabrics, but the look quickly evaporated into nothingness. She continued her duty for this mission. A little water was not enough to stop her. Ookami made her way to her next listed job. She must be getting close...
A harsh voice suddenly called out to her. The sopping wet, snow haired woman would stop in her tracks. Allowing her eyes to search the perimeters. Again the desperate voice called to her. Her crystal eyes kept searching the wet surroundings of the village. There... an elder woman trying her hardest to fight against the harsh winds. Her poor shawl was drenched with water, and must have been heavy upon her frail shoulders. The genin rushed over to the elder woman in need. "Can you help me get home? My bones are going too tired for this" The elder woman begged of her. This was indeed not suitable for an elder like herself to be induring alone.
Ookami would nod her head in acceptance, she could not just pass someone in need. Not here within the walls of her own village. Ookami would kneel down to the wet ground. Lowering herself to become below the level of the granny in need. Allowing the granny's wet frail form to climb on into the position of a piggy back. The genin hoisted her up to allow herself to he able to carry the poor woman. Her soft voice voice spoke, void of much expression. "Show me the way~"
The old granny would kindly instruct the helpful genin the directions to her little home. Ookami followed along perfectly. Not allowing the wind to stop her from the path to success. She felt the dull burn of her shins from carrying the wait of the granny, as well as all the water weight their clothing had collected. Ookami would only let out a soft "mph" before picking up her pace. The journey resulting in lasting for about fifteen minutes of fighting against the rain and tugging winds, before the genin finally came within view of the granny's home. She made her way to the front porch, before lowering herself to the ground. One knee pressed against the mucky ground, but Ookami wasn't faltered. The granny thanked the girl over and over. Ookami responded with a respectful bow.
"M-miss? Can you help a lady with one more task? My precious foo foo as been running about outside, and I'm so worried for him. Could you find him for me and bring him home to safety?" The granny begged with a face full of worry. Of course she couldn't deny her. That would make her unworthy to be a shinobi. She left the front porch in search for the granny's lost cat. She didn't have much of an idea where the little feline could be. Possibly somewhere hidden within a tree? She would search the house's surroundings. Her eyes scanning the branches of any trees she came upon. So far there was only two trees within 30 meters of this place, and not one of them revealed a scared wet feline.
After five more minutes of searching, Ookami decided to retrace her steps back to the house. Maybe she had missed a spot? So far nothing. She made her way back to the porch. Settling down against the wooden structure, giving herself time to think. Where else could it have wandered off to? Did it venture that far from home? Ookami would sit and ponder the situation. "Meow?" Ookami lifted her head, did she imagine it? "Meow~" There it was again. The genin peered over the edge of the porch. Searching the hollow area underneath it. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness after a brief moment of searching. There... a sopping wet ball of fur laid curled up in a frightened ball. "Kitty~" Ookami coo'ed the words. Gathering up the poor little creature within her arms. She knocked on the granny's door, with the wet kitty held within her free arm. The granny opened the door and her face revealed a face filled with gratefulness and ease. "Kindest of all!" The granny shrieked as she took her little foo foo within her frail arms. "Time for you to get cleaned up foo foo"

Ookami took our the mission parchment as she ventured her way from the granny's house. Her clothes was soaked and her knees tainted by mud. She was definitely a messy sight to see. Her white hair cloaked her shoulders in thick wet strands. Her dull expression made it seek as if her condition was no bother to her at all. She didn't have much care for little unfortunate things. Ookami's blue eyes scanned over the instructions. One of her jobs was to search and retrieve a missing cat named foo foo. What a coincidence. The genin pocketed the mission parchment. She had already succeeded in that job a little bit ago without realizing it. She would proceed to move onto the next listed instruction. Alot of debris have been ripped around from the storm's raging winds, and scattered around the wet village. Her last mission for the day was to collect the scattered trash and pieces and move it to a secure location to be dealt with later.
Ookami stood within the pelting rain. Her eyes looked over the village around her. Water collected amongst her eyelashes as she peered through the rain. She looked like a pale ghost of white hair, standing in drenched clothes. She began to search her current perimeters for any of the scattered debris. Cups, paper, bags, the trash consi on many things. Even an abandoned sock every once and a while, which did introduce a mellow look of unamusment upon her eyebrows as she picked them up. The rest of her mission consisted of this. Two hours of venturing through the miserable conditions. Gathering up the pieces of trash that collected within the branches of small shrubs, and mysterious items that ended up in the most irrelevant locations.
Finally... the storm was starting to let up. The pelting rain had turned into a light drizzle. Winds that once was ripping the debris around was now calmed, tamed by the change of weather. The village looked depressing and damp as the results of the dark skies and wetness, but the area was starting to look much more cleaned up. She would do one more look over. Making sure there was nothing she might have accidentally missed. This consisted over nothing more than twenty minutes, before she was satisfied by her work. Fortunately the wind was no longer in the mood to keep blowing more messes around.
Ookami lets out a breath of relieve. No doubt she was relieved at the idea of getting cleaned up and dressed in a fresh clean gown for the rest of her day. She checked over the mission parchment one last time. The paper was almost completely ruined, but she could still tell that there was only three jobs listed. It was time for her to turn in the mission to the village's mission board and complete her eventful day. Deep down the genin felt a little spark of success as she made her way to the mission board. She wants to be useful. No matter what it must be.

Lovely peppermint fused within the refreshing atmosphere. Cool water licked at the mud and rain that covered her pale skin. Pelting away and cleansing her today's long mission. Her eyes closed in a relaxing way as the dirt washed away through her shower drain. She tilted her head back, allowing the water to cleanse her white curtain of hair. Her body felt refreshed, and not just because of the lovely shower she was finally taking. But also because of all the work she had put in today. She had not expected such a turn of events. For such a storm to strike out of no where. Leaving civilians to depend on others to help them get their exposed possessions within the safety of cover. In this world alot of people have to turn to others. Not many could go about without the help of another hand. And the ones who could was way beyond her rank.
Ookami would enjoy to be able to succeed on her own. If it was possible to be that strong, then that's how strong she wants to be. Strong enough where she could become a weapon upon someone else's hand. For them to use without having to worry about anything. For her to act on her own to protect or destruct. Whatever they was to wish, she sought to someday please. At least today she was able to please a little. Pushing herself to complete her marked tasks, not ever allowing the rain, blowing wind, or mucky mud stop her in her path. Dirt didn't make anything harder. Even if it had been blood instead that stained her knees, nothing was too gruesome for her to handle. She never wanted to feel the need to depend on another. To feel that weal that she needed someone else's protection. This mission she was able to act on her own without the help of another ninja. She was the few of the ninja amongst Kirigakure to support these civilians whenever they needed aid.
Ookami let in a breath, her senses taking in the pleasing smell of mint fragrance. Perhaps she would finally be able to reward herself in a nice cup of mint tea? Like how she had planned to this morning before chaos had broke out. The tea would seem even more rewarding now, that she had provided such a helping hand for the majority of the day. What a successful day.
Her graceful hands turned the knob of her shower. Shutting the flow of cool water off. She allowed herself to stand there momentarily, letting some of the access water drip from her skin. Then her hands gentle wrung some water from the strands of her wet washed hair. The flow of water ceased from her drain. The Yuki genin stepped from her shower and onto the bathroom tiles. Soon enough a fluffy towel would be wrapped around her slender form as she exits the room. Making her way towards her bed chambers to where a light turquoise gown would await. If another storm strikes Kirigakure again in the future, Ookami will be here to help. She will do whatever she can for her dear deadly village. It will soon be time for her village to be known for it's brutal arts once again. She will continue on to the aim for her future. Making a mental note within her head to check the mission board tomorrow. She wants to keep working. Keeping improving. Grow stronger and stronger.
The silky gown fell over her head and the towel collapsed to the floor. Ookami then ventured her way to the kitchen. Time for her to reward herself in a nice treat. Peppermint tea and a nice crispy pastry sounded amazing. After that it would be time for her to relax her body. And for her day to continue to the next. Where she planned to do more work to improve herself.
