Federico muddies the waters

Federico decided to learn a new A rank technique. Having successfully learned a B rank relatively recently, he decided that he should now go ahead and try to get his first A rank technique now. He decided that he needed to figure out what he wanted to learn. Also, how was he even supposed to learn about the existence of any sort of technique that high ranked when there is no encyclopedia about this? This was something that was probably a big problem whenever he would learn a new technique. HE decided that it was a good diea to try and look at this little history series by this person with the last name of, “Kishimoto”. He realized that it was a good series because somehow, these books were actually quite accurate, and also quite strong, and although the book was second hand information, it was clearly a good source of information with all the books.

Federico would proceed to read the books, and would see a few techniques, most of which were really irrelevant and would eventually see a couple techniques. He saw the technique, Mausoleam Dumpling, and Swamp of the Underworld. This was about all the ideas he could get. He would decide that there has got to be a better way of trying to get ideas. After a lot of reading, he would see a technique that could make multiple spears with just one of these hand seals. He however, would decide after a bit to learn on the Swamp of the Underworld. After that, he would proceed to think about how he would create this swamp thingy. He realized that he needed to make something that was somewhat different from rock. It had to be somewhat maluable, but also able to pull things and stuff under it. Federico thought about it for a bit, and came to the conclusion, that like many of the other techniques he learned, it was a good idea to start by looking at what the hand seals were. He hoped that it would not be a really long line of them, or that itself would be a major issue.

After looking in the history comics, Federico would eventually decode that the two hand seals are the boar and the tiger hand seal. This was done by reading the hand seals really carefully, and closely looking at where all the fingers and the hands went. This was difficult because jariya was not particularly well drawn at that point. Never the less, Federico knew those, so he now had to figure out how he was going to try and practice this technique. He didn’t want to hurt anyone, although this might have to change soon, as the techniques he was using were getting bigger and bigger scale, and consequently, less easy to practice. This one was going to leave permanent damage wherever he went, although he was still able to practice a little bit, as there were still plenty of places that were wildlife or at least close to it.

He decided he would walk out a bit, and after finding a sutable clearing, he would decide to try to make a swamp of the underworld, a small one, in a small clearing that had no grass in it. He would proceed to attempt to do the boar, and then tiger hand selas, and then attempt to make some sort of mud. He would see where he was doing the swamp, that it was turning a little bit darker, but Federico would proceed to throw a rock at it, and the rock would bounce on top of the part of the ground in which the swamp was supposed to have formed. It clearly seemed, that he needed to learn how to soften rocks, which itself was a strange thing to need to learn. Federico would walk over the little swamp he made, and although he found the ground there to be a little bit softer than he would have expected it to be, he did not fall in, or was even close to it. He would proceed to pick the rock up, and then stand at the side of the swamp, and would put his hand into it and try to scoop some of the rock up so that he could try and look at what he managed to do.

Federico would see that the rock had turned a bit liquid, but it was pretty much like puddy, and it would not sing anything in it. Furthermore, Federico still had yet to figure out how to make that maluable enough that it could try and pull things under the ground.

After a bunch of examination of the little ground he tried to soften, he realized that although he did a good job of turning the ground into a bit of a putty like substance, it was not even close to being soft enough to let things fall in. He would try squeezing the rock, and it was about as soft as wood was. This meant that now, he would be able to break the rock with a hammer without too much problem, but the rock would not be close to the soft putty like substance he was looking for.

Federico decided to go and check the little book he had on the basics of earth technique, and soon found out that there was a slight issue. He needed to learn how to turn rock into mud. He thought that was strange because mud normally requires water, and Federico had no known ability to use water element. He decided to try to learn this anyway, since it was necessary to learn the technique. After about half an hour of reading through the book, apparently he was to try to pretend to cut the rocks and then imagine the rocks being reformed, but in a less solid manner. He needed to do this many many times to gett he desired result.
