Federico learns about stealing Empty Federico learns about stealing

Fri Dec 08, 2017 5:30 am
Mission Details:

Federico kind of enjoyed this little mission. He reread the mission and realized that this was just some stupid piece of paper that lead to nobody. Nobody was paying for this mission it turned out, he ended up just with what money he stole. He decided that perhaps, he might want to attempt something fun again. He looked and saw that he had enough money to pay the rent for the next month. As he walked out of his apartment, he thought that perhaps, there will be another mission he might get to do. He thought that perhaps, he could try something more challenging. He walked back to the contract center. He saw that there was another relatively easy mission, or so he thought. He saw in the description that the travelers started hiring mercenaries as guards. These mercenaries are paid to defend whoever their customer was. Federico went back to where he was before when he stole from the traveling man. He bought himself a map so that he could go there again now that he managed to figure out where he actually was.

After traveling back to where he was, he looked and saw that there were not many travelers. He looked at the map and saw there was a bridge. It spanned a small river. Federico took a day to walk over there. He then hid in a tree to try to watch the bridge from a place he could see. About every 10 minutes, it seemed that somebody came by in a little caravan with a couple guards. These guards seemed to be watching out for danger, although Federico soon deduced that they really seemed quite bored often as they crossed the bridge.

Federico continued to watch the caravans, and decided to not go and try to steal from the caravan. He thought he had to come up with a plan to distract the guards from the caravan, or lure the merchant away from them. He decided not to kill them as there were 2 of them, and it would be very difficult to try to win a fight against both of them. He also realized that he probably had about 10 minutes to try to steal from the caravan.

He thought that perhaps, he could learn more about these guards. He would climb out of the tree, and stand on the side of the bridge. He would wait for the next caravan. He would see a guard, and would ask, “How do you become a caravan guard?” The first guard was not willing to answer the question. He also looked at the man’s uniform.

Federico would wait for the next guard to come by. He saw that the person was wearing a badge that said, “Sentry Security”. Federico would ask the man, “How do you become a guard?”

The guard was surprised that Federico would ask. He would decide to help Federico, “I think that there is a little building about a couple hours from here. Ask the people there.”

Federico would ask the guard, “How much are you all paid?”

The guard would reply saying, “Not too much, we normally do a second job with this.”

Strange, so these people hold multiple jobs? That probably means that they aren’t paid well, and that perhaps they might be able to bribe them. He thought that he would need to try looking into what this job looked like.

Federico would walk over to the building, and after about 2 and a half hours, he would find that there was not too much to the building, just the logo of “Sentry Security”. Federico would walk inside and see that there was a sign that said, “Apply for a job here”

Federico got a copy of the job application form. One of the places showed the pay range, “3-10” ryo per hour. He soon realized that these people were not paid well at all. It seemed that perhaps, he could bribe them. He thought that even though he was not rich, he thought that he might be able to pay the people a good pile of ryo. He soon decided that he might get caught though, if he bribed the guards and failed, the guards would probably at least beat Federico up.

Federico decided that money was not a good method, perhaps he could observe the guards more.

He looked, at the caravans and saw that often, one guard would be on the front, and the other one would be at the back. He thought that perhaps, he might be able to knock out one of them without the other one noticing. He also noticed that the caravans made a lot of noise, and perhaps, the guard may not be able to the one in the back falling off the carriage. He realized he could throw a rock from the tree at the guard at the back of the caravan. Federico practiced this a bit on the bridge, imagining that a caravan was coming.

Federico would see a caravan coming, and throw the rock at the back guard and would miss. Federico would miss the guard and the caravan. The guard would shout, “Hey!”. Federico would continue to hide in the tree, so the guard would not see Federico.

Eventually, the guard would get back to the caravan and keep going on his way.

The next caravan, he decided not to throw the rock, he thought that the next caravan may have been alerted. He decided to wait a few more caravans. Federico then thought that he might want to try using his threads instead. He didn’t want to kill the guard, but he thought he might need to if push comes to shove. Federico tried throwing the rock from his threads, but this did not work well either. He thought he might just have to get lucky.

The next caravan came with a bunch of other ones. Federico decided not to attack that one due to how risky that would be.

He had a new idea.

He realized he needed to try again, this time try to make some more profit. He was not getting much, and he was barely stealing anything from these caravans. He thought of another plan, maybe he can try to run behind a caravan, or perhaps pretend to be part of the caravan.

Federico found the next caravan, and walked behind them. He would quietly follow them, and watch as the people were largely just looking forwards and not paying attention to what was behind them. Federico would continue to follow it until he would manage to get close enough to try to steal something. He realized that he might not be able to knock anyone out or would end up fighting the guards. He continued to follow them, and tried extending a thread out to try to steal something. This however was too hard to control to work properly. Federico would continue to follow them and get another idea. He would follow the back person, and cut a small hole in the bottom of the bag, allowing stuff to fall out. He would watch as small items would fall out of the bag. He would find that this would not work as most of the items falling out were practically worth nothing.

He would continue to follow, and would see that the people have not noticed him yet.

Eventually, he realized that it was too hard to try to steal this way, he now decided to see if there was anything else he can try.

Federico would now decide to go learn some ninja arts. He heard that people had interesting abilities using these ninja arts. Federico would go to the library, and try to look to see if he can learn any ninja arts that would allow him to do something useful. After finding a book, “The Jutsu Encyclopedia”, he learned there is this technique that allows someone to look like someone else. He thought that this could be a helpful technique. He would proceed to read the text that the jutsu encyclopedia had about the technique. He would see that there were 3 hand seals. Dog, Boar and then Ram. He thought that he could look like one of the guards perhaps, and pretend to arrest one of the merchants. He remembered the guard he saw, and decided he turn into that person. He would try the jutsu once, but he would be unable to turn into the other person. He found that he needed to learn to try to imagine the person he was turning into, and then would try to use his chakra in a way that would allow him to turn into the person he was trying to turn into. He soon tried again, this time, being more able to remember the appearance of the person he was trying to look like. He did the jutsu again in the bathroom, in front of the mirror to see what he looked like. This time, he was a lot closer, although he did not manage to get the clothing right. He managed to get the face, and the body shape, but he forgot the clothing they were wearing. He tried a few times, this time looking like other people who were already in the library. He would look around, and would continue to practice in front of the mirror, and eventually, he would manage to start looking like someone else. He would practice a few more times, however, he would start practicing and holding the position to look like that person. He would continue to try to continue to practice and eventually, he would manage to hold the jutsu to pretend to look like other people for up to an hour.

He would go back to the caravans, and would start pretending to be a guard. He would wait to find another guard. He would find a guard, and would start trying to look like him, but he would see that he should go to the back of the caravan again. He would do the dog, boar, and ram, and follow the caravan. He would then turn into one of the guards. He would then continue to follow the caravan as one of the guards. Federico would think about it, as he has yet to figure out how to steal anyone’s wagon. He would realize that he can attempt to pretend to be arresting a person. He was going to claim that the person he was going to pretend to arrest, was stealing, so he would knock him out.

(500 words claimed for learning transformation technique now)

Federico would punch the person at the very back, and shout, “Hey!” As people would turn around to see what happened. The people in the caravan would see that there was a merchant knocked over. Federico would then announce that this person attempted to steal from the person in front of him. He would then drape the man’s unconscious body with a bit of help from one of the other guards. The other guard would then tell Federico (pretending to be a guard), to go talk to the police station. Federico would say, “Sorry, but could you remind me about where it is?” Federico would be told to go about 20 minutes backwards from where the caravan was.

About 10 minutes later, Federico would drop the unconscious person off the cart, and would change his appearance to that of the unconscious merchant. He would walk back to his apartment, now looking normal and walk back to his apartment. He would eventually reach his apartment, and would open up the boxes in the wagon. He would find a few boxes of some food, a couple boxes of cloth, a box of salt, all of which Federico would give away, but he did keep all the money, which ended up being worth about 1000 ryo. He thought that he had to learn some more jutsu and get some better physical ability, doing missions like these shouldn’t be this hard.

I'm getting 1968 total word count, 1976 if counting the OOC claim of transformation technique which I'm not.
