Junko chuckled slightly as he jumped back to avoid the splash and then put the fish into his dimension. She watched the chakra pool around his feet as he approached the river and upon reaching the center he turned to her once more. She couldn’t help but laugh at his theatrics as he beckoned her to watch her “mighty General,” though her eyes remained fixated on his form. She watched his graceful display, though he was no master in ninjutsu, he far surpassed her in regard to mobility and accuracy. Junko stood firm as the water nearly reached her, though she trusted his control not to allow it to touch her.
Once finished, there were 8 fish, each perfectly pierced by kunai, pinned on the side of the riverbed in front of her. As he landed, Junko would offer him a light clap before leaning down and plucking one of the fish from the ground. A small smirk crossed her face as he thanked her and made his way back to her side once more. Quickly he began harvesting the fish, though Junko stared down at the one she now held in her hand with a curious expression. He then mentioned that even though he wasn’t a ninjutsu specialist, he still had some tricks up his sleeves. She nodded in agreement before speaking up.
”I have never, and will never doubt your abilities brother. Without you, I potentially wouldn’t be standing here right now, so please don’t ever think otherwise.”
Activating her Dojutsu, her red eyes would glow slightly as she inspected the scales of the fish. They seemed to have some sort of chakra suppression linked to them, which she immediately found herself curious about. As he continued the harvest, she looked down to him once more before speaking.
”I don’t know how difficult it would be, but would you be able to swap some of the scales for the rabbit fur within the armor? This might be a better material to have infused with it.
She then placed the fish she held in front of him and looked at him with a curious expression. If he agreed, she’d nod and offer him a smile before offering to assist him with harvesting the fish. Should he accept, Junko would kneel beside him and get to work, however, if he denied her she’d simply sit across from him and bask in the sun. Once they were ready to eat, Junko would beckon Nariko to join them for a meal. It didn’t take them long to finish the food that he had prepared, and after helping him clean up, the three of them were ready to return to the blacksmith.
Junko held her hand out for him to take, reminiscent of the time they wandered the ruins in an attempt to find a suitable location for the hideout they never got to make. Regardless of their ups and downs, she adored being around him and wished he knew just how much she cherished him. Should he deny her, she would shrug it off without concern, but if he took her hand, she’d gently squeeze his before walking back to the smithy.
”Unfortunately it’s getting a bit late in the day and I need to head to the market to finish some preparations for an upcoming festival. I’ll leave Nariko here, so once the armor is done will you give it to her?”
If he agreed, Junko would squeeze his hand once more if he held it and then released it. She then offered him a bow, and a bit of her beautiful black hair fell slightly in her face, though it returned to its normal position as she returned to standing. Looking over to Nariko, she’d direct the horned woman to remain here until the armor was finished to which her bodyguard would simply nod. Returning her attention to Azuki, she’d say a quick goodbye and thank you before excusing herself from the conversation. Quickly she’d make her way to the market square as she attempted to shift gears mentally.
Nariko would briefly look to Azuki before posting up in front of the smithy once more, waiting for the general to make a move. She remained like this, watching the faces of the civilians passing by but not moving to interfere with any of them. As she aired for Azuki to finish, she stood with a stoic expression, though a bit of her was anxious about not being by Junko’s side. Time passed, and if the General had finished the equipment and passed it to Nariko, the horned woman would take it from him. Little words were exchanged, but she stood a bit less ridged, indicating she at least was comfortable in his company.
With the armor in hand, Nariko would thank him in a neutral voice before offering him a bow and excusing herself before heading off in the direction of Junko. It took the horned woman roughly an hour to find their leader, though it seemed as if Junko was heading out of the market, seemingly finished with whatever business she attended to. The armor exchanged hands and the two women returned to the Kage Tower to turn in for the rest of the night. Once in her apartment, however, Junko would slip the equipment on, ensuring that it fit perfectly. As she looked herself over in a nearby mirror, she let out a happy squeal before continuing to check herself out.
