Determination of a Beast[P;Training Closed]
Sat Mar 23, 2013 5:25 am
He stood atop one of the taller mountains near the outskirts of Kumogakure no Sato. The mountain’s peak was flatten from pervious ninja testing out powerful ninjutsu and taijutsu, breaking it down and forming a large circular area that contained a few remaining large rock pillars and boulders, it was am area perfectly suited for intense training. Nearby were more mountains and the rest of the village just a few hundred yards away. The drop off point from this specific mountain was nearly 3 miles down, meaning a fall from this height could very easily be fatal. Wind blew light amounts of dust around the top of the mountain peak, clouds occasionally passing through the area making whatever they were covering harder to see.
He wasn’t entirely sure what it was that drew him here when he set out on his little training adventure, traveling far from Konohagakure no Sato and almost all the way into Kumogakure no Sato. He figured it was probably best to not go any further and remain outside of the village as to not appear to be invading their village and get killed. It was here on this mountain that as a newly ranked Genin he would advance to a new level and become stronger while at the same time attempting to learn more about the beast inside of him that he knew so little about. This training session would probably end up being one of his most intense and difficult ones of all time, due to the danger level of the area that he was at not to mention he was outside of the village and therefore he was not exactly protected from missing ninja that would try and kill him if they knew how special he really was.
He clenched his fists and then unclenched them, letting his body relax one last time before he began. Seconds later he dashed forward quickly, raising his right hand into the air. His elbow bent to a nearly a 90 degree angle with his fist parallel with his head. His target was one of the rock pillars on the mountain peak located near the southern edge. He finally clenched his fist tightly, thrusting his fist forward he felt his biceps and triceps constrict firmly adding a great deal of power behind the punch, the beast’s influence coming through and making a cloak form around him with five tails for a moment before leaving after a few moments.
His fist made contact with the rock pillar, the force behind his punch caused the rock pillar to instantaneously crack at the point of impact, the beast’s influence having made the punch stronger before the cloak left. As his body went through the rest of the motion, still going forward, the rock pillar nearly broke into pieces at the impacted zone. In just a moment after striking the rock he came to a stop, his right fist stuck inside of the rock pillar. His punch may not have been strong enough to break the rock into pieces or even break it in half he still managed to break into it. His fist still stuck inside of the rock, he leaned his body backwards angling his left shoulder away from the rock as his left leg bent at the knee and raised up. His knee quickly unbent, slamming his left foot in-between the area where his fist had hit the rock and where the base of the pillar was at.
The power behind his kick, combined with the damage the pillar had already sustained from his earlier punch, made the upper part of the rock to be broken off from the base with his right fist still stuck inside of it. He didn’t expect the rock to weigh as much as it did, as it immediately pulled him forward as the pillar began to go over the side of the mountain. ’This is bad,’ he thought to himself as he tried to get his right fist out of the pillar’s rocky grasp, trying desperately hard to get his fist unstuck. It was no use, as his feet started to lift off the ground. In only a few seconds he was going head first over the southern side of the mountain’s cliff.
Reaction time had to be precise and quick at this point but it was going to take a lot of strength for him to get himself out of this dangerous situation. He pulled his knees to his chest and rotated his body upward, only his right arm pointed downward due to being stuck in the rock. He grabbed his right forearm with his left hand and began to pull while kicking both of his feet down towards the pillar, directed at the spot just below where his right hand was caught. He yelled out as he put every ounce of strength he had into the double kick, if it failed he was basically dead. Something inside of him triggered for a moment out of shear panic from the possible death situation that he was in fact facing, the beast gave him more power, six tails erupting from the cloak that surrounded his body as was common with the beast’s influence.
His feet impacted the rock pillar making them fall faster for a second, but with his left hand pulling on his right arm and the rock nearly broken from his enhanced power kick, he managed to pull his right hand out of the rock. They had descended nearly a mile and half, but now things got more interesting as the beast’s power vanished as fast as it had arrived. He turned around and put his arms outward, trying to grab onto the edge of the mountain side. He was falling too fast to actually stop himself on the first try. His hands simply bounced off whatever rocks that were sticking out that he tried to grab onto. ’I can’t die here, not like this; I’ve got to try harder.’ his thought seemed to help him focus better on trying to make himself stop from falling. He made another attempt to grab onto the mountain side.
This time it worked, not easily but it did work. Intense pain coursed throughout his body for a moment as he felt like his arms were nearly ripped off by the momentum change. He went from falling at an incredible speed, to nearly stopping all at once. He refused to let go though, holding onto a small ledge that was stick out of the mountain side, his body violently swinging around for a moment from the change before coming to a standstill. He was still only a mile or less above the ground so he couldn’t let go at this point. Constricting most of the muscles in his body he began to pull himself up. Pushing his body to its limits had made his muscles a little weaker, but he overcame his own limitation. He had managed to stop his fall and pull his body up onto the tiny ledge, barely able to stand on the ledge that was barely as wide as his feet. He stood there for a second, looking backwards and down, the ground was so far away, ’There’s no way I could survive that, I’ve got to get back to the top without falling again’
This wasn’t the time to try and practice using chakra to run up the mountain, because there was no guarantee he could even accomplish going all the way to the top without messing up at least once or twice. He’d only just learned how to use chakra to try and climb a tree, let alone scale a full mountain. This was going to be all muscle trying to get back to the top. ’Mind over matter. I can do this.’ He looked up towards the top of the mountain, unable to see the top of it due to the common cloud coverage Kumogakure experienced. He raised his right hand up and felt for some kind of spot he could grab and lift himself up with. Once he pulled up with his right hand, he raised his left hand up and found yet another spot to grab. Lifting his feet off the ground, he quickly reached up with his right hand and found another spot sticking out and grabbed it, pulling him body up. He placed his right foot on the spot his right hand had once been grabbing onto. He used his left hand to find another spot to grab and pulled up again, placing his left foot where his left hand had been holding.
He continued that pattern of lifting his body up slowing along the side of the mountain. His muscles burned as the lactic acid buildup began to grow in them. He ignored the soreness that was overcoming his body, while he got closer to the top of the mountain. At one point his right foot slipped off a tiny ledge spot, nearly sending him down to his certain death. It nearly took every last ounce of strength in his body to pull himself up and reset his right foot onto a more stable spot. Nearly 45 feet away from the top ledge, he grabbed a rock sticking out with his left hand. As soon as he pulled on the rock with his left hand, the rock broke off the mountain, sending him backwards. He held on tightly to a more stable rock with his right hand, refusing to let go as half his body dangled off the mountain. That moment nearly took his life, but that was not the final complication he had in scaling the mountain. Just before reaching the top, another rock that he grabbed broke off and this time the one that his right hand was holding also broke off causing him to fall off backwards with no hope of grabbing anything to stop his descent to his death.
Before he could even react to it, the cloak surrounded his body again, this time there were eight tails on the cloak and the power he felt this time was incredible. The tails shot outward at the mountain side and stabbed into it, pulling Raiku to the side to finish climbing up, the cloak leaving his body afterwards. Reaching the top of the mountain, he pulled himself up and back on the mountaintop. He sighed heavily in relief, his heart nearly pounding out of his chest. It was exhilarating to come that close to dying and yet he survived unharmed, although his muscles were screaming out in pain. He wasn’t done with his workout though; all that had happened was not what he had in mind for training. He took a few steps forward and felt his legs nearly give out on him, the muscles aching from the hard work of trying to climb back up a large scale mountain. He knew that one of the biggest reasons that he even had a chance to survive that was because of whatever it is that is inside of him, giving him to the power to do the impossible. The only way to truly complete his training would be by trying to master the power the
With his training almost completed he felt it was time to jump to a bigger mountaintop similar to one of the large ones he traveled over when he came from Konohagakure no Sato, he walked towards the northern part of the mountain, and exhaled. He jumped into the air, towards another mountain top that was only 15 feet away. It was the mountain top which led back to Konohagakure no Sato and was larger than the one he was on at the moment. He underestimated how sore his muscles were, as he didn’t quite make the jump. Luckily for him, there was a large ledge sticking out under the cliff of the mountain, and he grabbed onto that, and pulled himself up onto it. ‘Damn it, I should have been able to make that jump, I need to get stronger.’ the thought of needing to be stronger coursed through his mind as he made the small climb up onto the top of the mountain.
It was time to finally face the demon inside him; he wasn’t even sure how to go about doing that but his dad had taught him to meditate when needing to see the path before him. Surely that demon voice inside of him was in the middle of his path almost referencing a fork in the road to display the image of two ways his life could go. Although there were other factors that would make impact in his life, this was probably near the top of the list. He calmly stands down, crossing his legs together in front of him, his arms resting parallel with his legs. His hands came together, the fingertips of each touching as the fingers spread apart to look as if they were holding something round.
He dove deep into his inner psyche attempting to search for the demonic voice that was inside of his head and giving him great power to do amazing things. It would not take very long for him to see a cage inside of his mind and noticed a large amount of water in the area. Something was imprisoned here and he felt as though it was the demon voice he had been hearing. Did he have a real demon inside of him? He thought he was going to face something that was not real and only part of his imagination but this seemed so very, very real. There was almost no doubt in his mind that the cage and demon voice contained inside of it were both real and it haunted him for a moment to think of the demon raging inside his mind and body poisoning him with its great and overwhelming power.
“What are you?!” he yelled out at the cage area, attempting to rouse the beast to answer and show itself to him. He was curious to see if there was a face and body he could match to the voice which would only support the concern that all of this was truly real and not him tripping out as if he was on drugs. He’d have to ask Samuru someday about the beast that the boy was also dealing with similar to the one Raiku was dealing with currently. It seemed to take forever for the beast to do anything, Raiku nearly giving up hope on seeing the beast.
“Why do you care?” the beast asked back, growling harshly after its answer. Moments after speaking the massive beast stepped forward in the cage coming into the light and view. It looked as though it was some type of bull octopus. It had horns similar to that of a bull with eight tentacle tails while it seemed to have incredible physical strength as it appeared to have large muscle mass. Raiku couldn’t even speak right away at the startling sight of the beast that the demonic voice belonged to all this time. This beast, locked away in a cage to contain its large power and rage was about to be a large part of Raiku’s life.
“You’re so strong, but I feel like you’re angry and I don’t understand.” He was hoping that even if the beast wasn’t going to be nice about explaining what exact it is, it could at least explain to him why he feels the deep sensation of rage; maybe even explain where the power comes from.
The beast didn’t seem to be very open at this point in their complex relationship. It hesitated at the thought of explaining anything to Raiku, but little did Raiku know or was even aware of, the beast had gained a small amount of respect for Raiku. Seeing Raiku barely use its influenced power to do everything the young boy had done most it on his own only requiring the beast’s power to do things that are seemingly impossible or would have gotten him killed which would have simply be bad for the beast. “You don’t deserve to understand that yet! You need to prove yourself first you brat. You must first be able to even handle my more advanced power and influence, of course if you fail I don’t mind just means I’m free.” The beast explained, giving Raiku a chance to get the answers that he was looking for.
“Really?” Raiku asked somewhat excited at the idea of this being some sort of big challenge that would test him in every way. He wondered if maybe this would require him to tame the beast like some type of pet or at least gain respect from the beast who he needed a name for. “By the way, what is your name?” he asked without caring about the tension in the area from the beast.
The beast ignored the boy’s curiosity about how to get the answers to his questions. What did anger the beast was the question about its name; of course it was different than most hosts. Common hosts never even bother to care and learn their bijuu’s true name and thus never gain a first name basis type of respectful friendship that can make a bijuu and their host immeasurable power to do whatever they want. “You don’t get to know that yet, now leave me alone and see if you can handle the power I have first. This mountain area seems like the perfect area to prove that you are ready for what I can offer and besot upon you.” The beast said, laughing a little maliciously as it faded backwards out of sight in the cage, leaving Raiku standing there trying to comprehend everything that had just happened.
Seconds later the beast’s power kicked in like never before, being a sensation of deeper and thicker chakra than before when the first cloak formed, this cloak was entirely different from the first one in the fact that there was the presence of intense pain. Raiku’s skin flaked and seemed to burn off his body and be replaced by strange red and black chakra which was thick and layered on like skin to replace his human skin. The entire process was the most physically painful thing he had ever gone through in his whole life, his mind slipping away some from the change as his arms and legs became like claws and one tail forming from the cloak.
The feeling was different and he was developing the urge to go cause a little destruction and have some fun, but the beast seemed to be taking it a little easy on him instead of simply abusing the situation and taking over the boy to go on a full beast rampage outside of Kumogakure no Sato. Maybe the bijuu wanted to cause damage to Konohagakure? Or maybe it had gained some respect for Raiku and wanted to test the boy out to see what potential he had and see if he was a better host than the ones the bijuu had already gone through.
Raiku gave into the primal instincts of the cloak form that had taken over his appearance and skill; he was able to extend out his entire physical limbs and even manipulate his body for whatever purpose he wanted due to being made of a large amount of chakra from the beast’s influence and power. He started bouncing around the entire mountain range area, his body creating small craters in the sides of the mountains each done he rebounded and impacted one. It was a thrilling feeling to be flying around with such power and sensation of being almost immortal and unstoppable. He needed to spar against Samuru again, if Samuru had a beast similar to his own than perhaps that would be a truly good and challenging fight. The fight would be nothing like the first one, the second fight would make that fight one look like an introduction warm up joke.
The beast seemed to be planning something though, agreeing with Raiku’s ideology and wanting to beat Kurama, maybe the bijuu would be able to make Raiku turn on Samuru and use this boy to defeat Kurama and try and prove that one tail does not matter that much in the fight of the two strongest bijuu in the world. This was a good chance to make the boy tame his powers and try to get him to complete this goal and even get his freedom in the end.
Raiku had no clue what the beast was planning, instead he was happy about the feeling he was getting from being in this cloak form now that the pain of the transformation had subsided all that was left was the powerful feeling and the wind in his face as he wreaked havoc upon the mountains of the area, getting a real good test of his power that the bijuu was sharing with him for its own terrible reasons, at least there was hope Raiku would be able to change the bijuu’s plans and turn it towards the good side and make it forget about Kurama so that the goals don’t get worse.
The bijuu could tell Raiku was enjoying the power, so the next step to trying to get Raiku to do what it says would be getting the boy intoxicated on the power and make him want and need the power. Get the boy hooked on the power and use that as leverage was a great plan so long as the boy would never be able to try and take its power from it. The beast discarded the idea of the boy gaining the power to defeat it and take its chakra, such an impossible idea to even be considering. The bijuu had no clue just how special of a host this young boy truly was.
A second tail came out next to the first tail on the cloak, Raiku feeling another surge of power coming through every fiber of his body. He was drunk on power, too young to truly understand how to use power and given too much to control properly even with the bijuu not trying to make him destroy things it was happening anyways. Raiku discovered the chakra of the beast could be used to make a powerful ball of condense chakra to cause more damage.
The fact that Raiku took such little time to discover the condensed chakra surprised the bijuu, it had not even influenced Raiku to neither do that nor even explained it to the boy. The boy was able to manipulate chakra in such an effective way that the boy nearly managed to overcome the odds and be successful at the bijuu bomb. The boy was unable to actually complete the attack and instead suffered the explosion blowback from the failed attempt, which was enough to knock Raiku out of the cloak mode, his body red all over and throbbing with pain from his skin slowly recovering after being shredded off his body earlier when the transformation had happened.
The beast sulked back into its cage, while Raiku coughed, getting back up on his feet, wincing in great pain after the event. He simply turned towards the path back to Konohagakure and decided to go home and get stronger. The beast was slowly gaining more and more respect for Raiku as the young boy continued to show determination that the bijuu had never seen in any other host, especially one this young.
Raiku took over a few days of travel to get back to Konohagakure no Sato after his training was over for a short time, he was only taking a couple days off to rest and relax before taking the next step in mastering the power over this strange beast inside of him who he still did not know the name of, at least for now.
