thunder and lightning (tmac)

Looking around the courtyard of the Kumogakure academy, Kira could not help but grind his teeth with hatred. The contemptuous place was a prison in his eyes, having spent years there learning what it is to be a shinobi and the militaristic doctrine of his home village, he prayed for the day that he may graduate from it. Finally the day had come and yet here he stands, still in it’s shadow. While most everyone from his graduating class had been assigned to a team, he had yet to get his orders. The rumor was that nobody wanted to take in the descendant of a long dead tsuchikage, nor did they want someone who was so lacking in strength.
Turning around he walks to the center of the courtyard and lays himself down; this most recent failure only furthering his insecurities and fears. If he did not get assigned a team soon, they may discharge him or task him with something menial like filing. Kira may not be all that street smart, but even he can see how such an assignment could lead to career segmentation and prevent him from following his dreams. As he lays his body on the ground, he raises up his hand and faces his palm towards the sun. Closing it into a tight fist, the thought that he had no dreams, no wishes, no aspirations briefly crossed his mind before it was drowned out by more self pitying sorrow.
Placing his hands beside his head, palms touching the ground he kips up, pushing himself so that he lands on his feet. Stumbling slightly forward, he places his hand on his sword and draws it. For the first time in a long time the young genin feels a pulse of initiative and decides to at least and try to learn something, to apply some of the things he had read in his books. Knowing only the most basic of jutsu, it is no wonder that he had not been assigned to a team he could call his own.

"Do I really look that unpolished? Do I really still look like a student?" Kira could not help but think to himself as he turned to face the source of the voice. While it was obvious that the speaker had not seen his head band even though the cloth wrapped around his short brown hair, it still ate at him. It fed into his thoughts of inadequacy and futility. It took every ounce of self control not to show any sign of being insulted by the rather unobservant remark. With a slight sigh, he taps the metal of his forehead protector with the blunt side of his katana and says "well isn't that a rather asinine question?".
Sheathing his blade Kira continues to say "I am here on my own business, and my name is none of your concern". Looking over the new person, the most striking feature was not his full lips, thick eye brows, or big ears, but rather it was his crimson eyes. Looking at them, Kira had a feeling he was of a clan and not like the normal commoner. Stepping forward slowly, Kira moves to walk away, not enjoying the gaze or company of another person, preferring the silent and comforting company of his books and stories instead.
Continuing to walk, Kira nods towards the stranger and says "Have a good day, and try not to insult anyone else with such painfully pathetic observations"
