Meeting of Kumo Team 4 [P,NK]

It was a particularly clear day in Kumo as the clouds allowed the sun to shine down in the village, something that wasn't always normal but good none the less. Sitting on one of the more taller buildings of the village was Yaju. who was newly appointed as a chuunin by winning the Kumo exams. Wearing a black shirt whose sleeves came to his shoulder, a chuunin flak jacket, black chuunin pants and of course his claws and gloves, he was debating on leaving the spot in which he had like for the moment. He had remembered he had been assigned a team to look over and train although everyone knew when he trained someone was going to get hurt one way or another, and that always meant the hospital. Chuckling he would stand up and use the body flicker technique to double his speed and land on the ground twenty meters from where he once was, and began to walk towards the training grounds.

After a while of walking he would find himself in the Kumo training grounds, his eyes feral yellow eyes scanning the area like he was looking for something. smiling he would walk over to a particular tree and tap it three times before lacing it with a trap. It would consist of a simple wire and two kunai, a test of sorts. Once it had been set he would jump into another tree and smile as he waited for the group of three to show up. If they were smart they would be able to faintly see it and avoid it when it wold detonate or...they would be hurt, which would disappoint Yaj.

The day was a clear one and the mood of Xuro was cheerful. Not really expressing It but he was indeed quite cheerful. He was to meet his fellow Genin members and his Squad Leader of the Kumogakure Genin squad. Xuro got changed into his usual attire consisting of black trousers with a black shirt. His hair being normally, naturally spiky and well his blue ebony eyes having their focused stare like always. He took what very little weaponry he had with him- two kunai and a katana. He had strapped the katana to his waist and had placed one kunai in his pocket. The other he carried it monotonously wherever he goes for like he also predicted "just-in-case". He then strolled out of his house closing the door behind him.

On his way to the training grounds, he past by the busy village streets. His hands slid in his pockets and whistled a soft tune as he slowly paced towards the training grounds. On arrive at the entrance, he waited for a moment. Natural instinct took over and he scanned the area around him. His one had being the left one which held the kunai, slipped out of his pocket and positioned itself infront of his chest. His hand gripped tightly on the kunai as he waltzed into the training grounds taking a small step at a time till he would stop 7 meters from the entrance. Xuro felt it better to wait here for the other's to arrive if he was the first one to make it. He stopped and folded his arms scrutinising the whole training grounds...

Hunter stepped out of the compound as he breathed in the fresh air.  For being so high up in the mountain it was not all that difficult to feel at ease with the pressure.  He smiled as he let his clothes, a black cloth shirt, baggy black pants, gauntlets, and gray over shirt that flapped in the wind.  He held his Wakizashi before sighing knowing he was to meet his team today.  He put his Wakizashi in its harness at his waist behind him as he pulled out his scroll and looked on it to confirm the team was meeting at the training grounds.  He felt a bit sore from training with Tee a couple days earlier but just shrugged it off and put the scroll away.  He took off in a sprint as he began his trek to the village and the training grounds.

As he reached the training grounds he noticed teams already practicing, and some people even staring towards the wooded area where he saw a single kid no older than he standing as if he was waiting.  Hunter took his time walking to where the kid was standing, not assuming he was part of the team, but also just incase something were to happen.  As he arrived he looked along the forest floor then up at the tree line to see if he could identify any traps as he was instructed to do when going to a new area.  He stopped beside the kid noticing his headband still shiny and new and katana at his waist, so Hunter took a deep breath as he crossed his arms.
 
“Hunter Yagami, Team Four.”  Hunter stood there and outstretched his right hand to his left, waiting for a reply as he waited to see if he was going to be greeted or ignored.  “hopefully he will be as excited as I am” Hunter thought childishly and instantly shook his head as he heard a voice in his head.
 
“They are all going to laugh at you, ha ha ha ha!” It said as Hunter tried to reassure himself that this was nothing to do with his family’s birth defect.

Now this was no fun, neither of the two would come in yet and he wondered why. Although it mattered not he would jump down silently from the tree and pull from behind it a blade of great size and set in on his back. Walking to the entrance he wouldn't even glance at the trap he had laid and decided to walk right past it. Stopping ten meters in front of the boys he would yawn and show a small uninterested look," So you cubs are the ones that are on my team eh, well you two don't look like much honestly but that will change very soon. The names Yaju Hayate and from this point on and until you become chuunin or you die you will be under my care, now introduce yourselves and any special talents and don't skip out on me or you will recieve my first lesson," pointing to the blade that rested on his back.

He was one person short, now that he remembered Hibana was supposed to be on his team according to the roster but he had not seen her since the hospital. Something inside of him missed the girl, but now was not the time for it. After the boys had explained what Yaju wanted and any concerns he would nod unless it wasn't satisfactory to him," Well then since you followed directions, my elements are classified or rather you will see them today and i main in hand to hand combat. Other notes about myself is that i am an ex-killer meaning i have killed someone, my father to be exact. Hmmm oh yea i do want to mention that my senses themselves are like that of a wolf hence the eyes and ears so be on your toes. Now the the homo share fest is over lets get to it shall we," waving the two boys to follow him he would walk back into the training grounds.

Once they followed he would go back to the same area he was in and stood on the opposite end of the tree or its right side which was away from the base of the tree. This isn't going to be like one of those other teams that use that stupid bell test, no i am more straightfoward than that. You will be fighting me head on and if i deem your skills worthy then all is good. Now if you fail then your lives will be mine," showing a slight smile he would use his left hand to perform one hand seal. From the moisture in the air, a thick mist would begin to envelope the entire area in a 25 meter radius that would encase the area of the three. Once the mist had enveloped the entire field Yaju would chuckle and jump back onto a branch that would creak only slightly and as he activated his byakugan he would see how these two reacted to a fog of war.

The tree that housed the trap would soon be set off as Yaju would activate it, sending the Kunai at the two boys. This was a test of reflexes and hearing, two of the most vital things needed in a fight. If the boys were to dodge the two Kunai he would then move on to the next step which would test their speed. Jumping out of the tree he was currently in, he would cut it vertically and shove his blade into the ground. Picking the now falling tree up he would launch it at the two boys in an attempt to see how fast they could actually dodge. Picking up his sword he would wait in the mist until the two of them had made their moves.

Xuro waited for awhile when he was suddenly approached by a boy who probably seemed to be on the same team. This was clarified when the boy introduced himself as being called Hunter Yagami and belonging to Kumo team 4. Xuro nodded in acknowledgement and would respond in a serious voice, "Hm... I too am of Kumo Team 4. That must make you my team mate." The two were then approached by another ninja standing some distance away yet spoke to them. It appears he was to be their squad leader. Someone who Xuro now knows as Yaju. He asked for an introduction to be done by both, Xuro and Hunter. Xuro decided to take the brave step and go up first. He stepped forward and with his determine look would speak to Yaju introducing himself, "I am Xuro of the Kinzokutei clan of Sunagakure. I dwell here in the land of Sky with my parents who moved here when I was very young. My clan possesses a unique kekkei genkai called Magnet Release. This allows us to create, control and manipulate any form of magnetic material commonly similar to sand. Each of us possess our own unique material of Sand to manipulate. I am still training to obtain such kekkei genkai. I possess my first element being Lightning. I need to obtain the Element of Earth as well, in order to learn my clan's magnet release kekkei genkai. Its a pleasure to meet Yaju-sama our leader and my fellow comrade Hunter." Xuro then stepped back and awaited the Introduction of Hunter his comrade and hopefully soon to be friend. Xuro felt pleased about his introduction and hoped he had done it well and made a good enough impression.

Xuro would then adhere to the command of his leader, after Hunter finished his introduction. Yaju had asked them to follow him into the training grounds. Xuro followed behind his team leader Yaju-sama until they stopped neat a tree which Yaju leant against. Xuro was bugged by the fact that Yaju had killed his own father, he pondered over how could that be and what reason did Yaju have to doing such a vile act. But he didn't want to ask the questions that bugged him. It was personally and Xuro didn't want to be rude or disrespect his Team Leader.

It was finally time to test out their skills. They were to go 2 against 1 versing their Leader, Yaju. Xuro would nod in affirmation and prepare for the spar. He gripped the kunai in his hand tightly when Yaju had performed a hand seal and caused a thick mist to arise all around them. Xuro would say to Hunter, "Can you see through this mist? Do you have any abilities that can? If you do, please inform me, if you don't then we have to watch each other's back..." Xuro said as he then got into a firm stance. He knew that Yaju could probably see through this otherwise why summon such a mist. So now they were at a disadvantage in this mist.

Suddenly Xuro heard a sound in the air like something heading towards them. Right before it was a mere centimetres infront of them, Xuro seen the kunai launched at them. He used his one Kunai to deflect off the one kunai and then jumped out of the way rolling to the left dodging the second. He then would hear some noise of somewhat like a cutting sound. The next thing seen was a whole tree launched there way. Xuro used all his speed to dash even more further left going now 5 meters away from the tree.

Xuro then had somewhat of a clue as to where Yaju was based on the direction from which the tree came from. Xuro moved 5 meters forward. He would perform some hand seals and summon a sphere in the air 5 meters high where he pointed the index finger on his right hand. The sphere formed and he channelled his lightning chakra into it. "Lightning Blast!" Xuro shouted as he commanded the sphere using his hand movement to move down 8 meters in front of him hoping he had gotten within Yaju's range since the jutsu creates a good offensive attack with a big enough radius. Xuro then held the kunai infront of him belonging to his left hand, and would watch what would happen...

Hunter was pleased to now know the name of his comrades;  Xuro, his squad mat and hopefully soon his friend, and his Sensei Yaju.  He  stretched out a bit as Sensei Yaju told them to introduce themselves, and instead of going first, he yielded to Xuro since he was first to arrive.  As he listened he processed the information from what Sensei Yaju had told them.  Coming back to full focus he cleared his throat before bowing to Sensei Yaju in the traditional way with his right hand in a fist and his left hand straight against it. 

“As I have said I am Hunter Yagami, of the Yagami Clan of the Land hidden in Clouds.  I am the first-born son here and heir to the Clan Yagami, inheriting both the good and bad that comes with.  My specialty is Kenjutsu, I know how to use Lightning as my element and my clan is the creator of the Thunder Flare Element which I have yet to learn…”  Hunter thought of revealing the secrets of his bloodline, but decided better of it for now as he heard the voice in his head chime in.  “You horrible freak, I told you they would all laugh at you, go on…tell them your a nutcase and can hear a voice in your head and that you can transform into a monster.  HAHAHAHAHA Tell em’ Tell em’.”   Hunter stayed focused as he took a deep breath.  “…and it is a pleasure to meet you both as well.”  Hunter finished his introduction and bow as he stood up straight as he followed and listened to his instructions.

As he saw Sensei Yaju enter the forest as a strange thick mist filled the area and a trap seemed to have been sprung as Hunter reached up and caught the Kunai that was launched at him as he saw Xuro dodge he threw kept the Kunai and heard a loud *CRACK* as he looked up to see a tree falling in his direction.  Hunter took a deep breath as he launched up into the tree and used it as camouflage as he jumped and weaved his way up until he flew out from the top and as he was falling back to the forest he threw the kunai as hard as he could in the direction of Sensei Yaju.  When Hunter landed he darted next to Xuro not knowing if the random throw was enough to reach him.

“I cannot see through this mist Xuro, we need to work together, remember any of the two man formations from the Academy?” Hunter asked as he withdrew his Wakizashi and tossed it to his right hand so he could keep his left open for an attack if he needed.  The voice in his head was blaring.  “RUN! GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS FOOL HE KILLED HIS DAD AND IS NOW AFTER YOU! I CANNOT AFFORD MY VESSEL TO BE KILLED!”

 

Well he could tell they were good at following instructions although the way they had went about it kind of ticked him off. On the one hand he had Xuro, a foreinger from Suna turned Kumo and was a bit of a traditional snob... not the type Yaju liked although his elements and clan intrigued him. Giving a small grin he would look over to hunter, the boy with a scent that made even his nose curl. He didn't smell bad no that was not the case, there was something about him that had made Yaju a little curious although now he would smile and continue on.

Now to the present where he had the two of them in the mist. Their first action was to be expect, but the way they went about it was different. Xuro had used the basics and instead of delfecting he decided to roll out of the way, a useful tactic yes but could easily leave him wide open. Now Hunter was ballsy and decided to catch the kunai right before he reached him. Smiling from his position he would wait to see what exactly tne boys would do about the flying tree. Yet again Xuro went for the basic counter, which was starting to get a bit old, but now Hunter had jumped through the tree, The first attack of the team consisted  of a lightning element. Yaju had laughed as he brought up his sword, drawing his lightning element through the blade and cut the attack in half before feeling its power dwell inside of him.

Now came the Kunai which would whizz by his head as he moved to the side a couple of inches. Hearing the Kunai whizz behind him he would jump behind another treee and spin his blade into the air," what is the matter boys afraid of a little fog of war, clearly you can do better than that," his voice carried through the mist.

Xuro watched as he thought his jutsu would do some form of damage but unfortunately to no avail. It was easily countered. "Damn! I need to up my game and get stronger techniques. Whatever I know are too weak to even come close to Yaju much less touch him"Xuro thought to himself.

He then replied to Hunter agreeing that they need to work together to overcome this situation and well he didn't think they could defeat Yaju but at least prove their worth. "Currently, a frontal assault won't work, going right into it and fighting him head on. No that won't work because of cause that is his area of expertise. We need to come up with a good strategy a method of attack using our numbers to our advantage. Hmm know any useful jutsu that could help us??" Xuro spoke softly just enough for Hunter to hear him. During that time, he had his katana out and held firmly in his hands in front of him as he closely watched the area around him for any sign of movement...

Hunter did not look over at Xuro but acknowledged what he said as he thought of strategies. If Hunter was correct in calculating his throw and timing, the kunai should have hit him or narrowly missed. This would mean that he would have been exposed especially after dissipating Xuro’s Jutsu.

Hunter whispered as he began to move diagonally in the Fog of War towards Sensei Yaju. “He would have had to move, probably to a higher vantage point. This fog is keeping us from really seeing anything. Tracking him is going to be difficult but I have a plan. Take your Kunai and throw them towards the last direction of Sensei, aim high to the trees and throw each Kunai about 5 seconds after the first. Give each a 30-degree angle as you throw so they are dispersed in a wave, attach a small amount of your chakra to the end so you can track where hit. I will do the same thing off of your first throw, this way we can listen after each Kunai is thrown and find out how close the trees are. If we can get even a small handle here we can go to each tree and check for clues. If we are lucky one will be on target enough for him to block or our chakra will hit his giving off position.” Hunter finally finished as he nodded to Xuro as he put his Wakizashi away and pulled out all five of his Kunai as he waited for Xuro to do the same as a signal.

Hunter began to calculate what to do next as he attached a bit of his chakra to all five Kunai. That’s when hunter got a bright idea to just use enough to interlock all five of his Kunai so there is a web that they can use to track. And set up an area.

That is when the voice in his head popped in for a visit. “Good luck nutcase, your gonna get us both killed, but try anyway. Try try try!” The voice said, but only made Hunter more determined as he got into a throwing stance.

Jin had just received an order to head straight to the neighboring mountains for his first training session with his new team, he was apparently on Kumo Team Four, or so he had been instructed anyway, Jin didn't even have time to properly explore Kumogakure before he was already sent on his training session, but he properly followed his directions, so, or so he thought, honestly speaking he didn't really know where he was going, he wouldn't admit it though, he thought he was going the right way, and fuck what everyone else thought, the training session was this way, he could feel it, he didn't quite know what to expect to be honest? Were his teammates experienced? Were they guys or girls? Did they come from any particular clan? He was just so curious!

Jin arrived somewhere, well, he thought he was at the location of the training, because he saw a bunch of ninja, who were these guys? Well, they seemed to be battling it out pretty hard right now, so Jin wasn't really going to interrupt them, he just kind of stood there cluelessly, wondering what the fuck was actually going on all up in here, because to him it just seemed as if everyone was just beating the royal ass out of eachother with no real motive, Jin just waited for everything to die down, he had a rather awkward look on his face, should he interrupt or? He just didn't know, maybe he'd just let them smash the fuck out of eachother.
