Re: Training at the Compound [Private NK]

Hunter was tired of waiting for the others. He received word that Sensei Yaju would be taking us on missions in a few days, but that only made him want to prove himself to be stronger than Jin even more. He heard about the spar between him and Xuro, and he knew that he would need to step up his raining even more. He felt a power inside him growing each day, and the voice in his head kept mumbling something about the powers in the blood. Hunter knew about the bloodline of the Yagami family due to a failed attempt to poison the generations when the split happened, but so far all that Hunter had to show for it was the damn voice in his head. He sighed as he stood up in the courtyard, listening to the wind blow through and the sounds of the flames and the popping of lightning chakra that filled the basins in the middle of the compound made Hunter feel at home, but also restless so he decided to go to the Guard House training facility inside the compound. With each day spent in there with the setup his father had made, he felt like he was growing stronger even faster. As he arrived to the Guard House he told them the password and they let him in as the guards inside nodded at him acknowledging him, which made Hunter proud. He quickly walked downstairs as he kicked off his shoes and took off his harness to move more freely and with more ease. He felt the cool stone beneath him and the light was low on purpose so Hunter hung up his Harness and over-shirt as he prepared for training with the Chakra enhanced dummies that lay in wait for Hunter to activate them.
“I love training here…” Hunter said as he walked over to of the training Dummies and activated their seals by trickiling a little of his Chakra in each to animate them. They stood up and got in fighting stances, their movements were easy to read and even thought the light was low it was easy to hear the joints move. Hunter led them to an arena style sparring circle where he stood in the middle. He saw and heard the two Training Dummies take position on either side of him as Hunter took in what his senses and training had led to so far. “Each Training Dummy is about one and a half Meter’s away on either side. I am in a sparring circle 4 Meters Wide that is made of the rock that has been carved just like the rest of the area, and is smooth. The Dummies are made of Kumo Oak with Iron/Steel fittings, gears, etc. Finally Each Dummy is programmed to keep moving and change tactics, but not to fight, and they cannot be destroyed. Ok Hunter you have gone through this scenario plenty of times to know how this will play out…” He said aloud to himself as he got into his fighting stance. Each of the Training Dummies automatically did the same thing as they began to bob and weave, in and out and around Hunter as he continued his thoughts aloud. “…I want to take it to the limit today, push myself to my breaking point and try to see if I can’t make a few things inside my bloodline click.” He said as he finished his sentence and began to fight the Training Dummies. He began to kick and jab at the Dummies as fast as he could as they blocked mostly all of them, and the ones Hunter DID manage to land were minor and left small indentions on the bodies of the Training Dummies. Hunter then charged the attack of the Ripper technique he had learned from Yaju, making his left and right hands grow auric claw like appendages. As he managed to hit the Training Dummy to his left he knew that the technique made no difference to them as he was able to make the gears inside slip and move a bit slower for a few seconds, they did not stop. Hunter expected this as he tried to find some flaw in the workings of the Dummies. He was pulling off a little exercise while reporting to his father about how the Dummies perform in extreme training sessions, making Hunter train and document them was easy, but sometimes Hunter was just to winded to do it so this time he knew he would have to overcome that and grab a hold of his second wind if he really wanted to help Uriel sell from the warehouse. He kept performing the Ripper technique as well as combining it with his mastered Lightning Uppercut for hours on end till he felt like he could give no more. He fell to the ground winded and looked up as the Training Dummies dropped their stance and began to go. Hunter was not happy though as he hit the floor as hard as he could. His strength was able to crack the stone as he felt a new wave of power slip over him. He was not as he was a few seconds ago. He closed his eyes as he slowed his breathing. When he was standing tall again he got back into stance as he launched at one of the Training Dummies, managing to get a lucky shot on it with a swift kick.
“Thought I was done did ya?” Hunter asked the Training Dummy as if expecting it to answer as the voice in his head chimed in just as Hunter flipped back into the arena. “Got a taste of that Second Wind now eh? Better out than in I always say! BAHAHAHAHAHA!” The voice laughed as Hunter was back into form. He was able to keep the fight going good for at least another hour before he managed to throw that last punch. He cringed as the blow connected putting all his strength and Chakra into the blow as he fell to his ass. The Training Dummy that was hit remained standing though a large portion of its blank round head was now missing. Hunter saw the Training Dummies leave the arena and back to their spot in the training room where they will remain until they are fully healed and whenever it is time to use them once again. Hunter rested there on the cold stone as he felt the sweat drip from his head, knowing that he needed a break he finally sat up to catch his breath. As soon as he could he got up and went upstairs and sat with the guards as a chef that lived in the Guard House brought Hunter a snack of granola, replenishing pills, and water. Hunter quickly ate his fill until he knew he was indeed ready to go again as he thanked the Chef and disappeared back into the training room ready to go another round.

Re: Training at the Compound [Private NK]

Hunter stepped back down into the depths of the cool earth. His Training Area, no one but the Yagami family can enter, and this is where Hunter trained all of his moves to mastery. He was allowed free reign over this domain, as he could even begin to see deeper into the lowly lit cavern. This was a new development to Hunter, he used to only be able to see just enough in front of him so he did not run into things, but now he was becoming familiar with the surroundings down in the area. He really was becoming stronger, soon he would be ready to reveal his power. Soon he also needed to go see his familiar known around the compound as “Slow Death” due to his upbringing by Hunter. Hunter released him 10 years ago, which would mean he would have to earn his trust again. Hunter wanted to earn the title as the “Turtle Warrior” one day. This of course was a made up title and he would live it up by creating a strong bond with his friend and creating fighting styles that made him both able to take attacks, and dish them back out.
“Turtle Warrior?…Come on now Hunter, do we REALLY need to go through with this nonsense again…remember what happened last time you tried to train Slow Death? That thing is the size of a small shack for fucks sake. Be smart here.” His voice decided to chime in as Hunter walked over to the Taijutsu training post. As he looked at it, he noticed that the posts were upgraded past the normal Kumo Wood…They were now formed steel and were designed to make him stronger, but man that would hurt like hell. “damn…dad sure knows how to make a kid happy.” Hunter said sarcastically as he took off his shirt to train. After entering his focus he wasted no time in getting to his training. He began to hit and kick the post as hard as he could, the metal posts were causing his hands and shins to already bruise more than usual. He did not stop as he kept pounding away until the posts began to fall out one by one by one, finally at the end he charged up enough Chakra into his feet that he jumped up and kicked the training post off of its hinges and into the ground where it made a dull hard *thunk* leaving Hunter to land on the smooth stone as he caught his breath. Hunter walked to his notes and jotted down a few things before cleaning up his mess and reassembling the Taijutsu training post. He sighed as he wandered around trying to think of some more training when he noticed he could see up to 8 feet now as clear as day. It was as if someone had cleared smoke from his eyes. This fascinated Hunter as he saw a bit more of the training facility. Even though he could have easily walked out to see all of this before, he was not ready. He now noticed that there was an entire row of weapons. Not just any weapons…these…these were the weapons that made up the eighteen arms of Wushu, an ancient training method used to turn warriors into gods on the battlefield. Hunter immediately ran to the shelf as he looked over the weapons and chose two foreign looking sabers as he walked to another training post getting into a stance that required hunter’s upmost focus and attention. He then began to swing them, it was awkward at first, but as time went on, the sabers became lighter and easier to maneuver in tight spaces letting Hunter perform moves of which he never would have thought possible with a Katana, Wakizashi, or a Naginata. He was proud of himself, but knew that this was just a fraction of his learning and soon he would learn these weapons and skills needed to use them, but for now he needed to try and see if he can’t see even farther by concentrating on the darkness in the cavern. Without much effort he put the sabers back into their cases and took a seat right in front of them. He crossed his legs and began to stare off into the distance with great focus and intent of gaining more of a view of the room that was in here. The minutes felt like hours as they passed by, and Hunter was concentrating so hard that it felt like his eyes were going to bulge from their sockets. He eventually crumbled under the strain after breaking what seemed like 10 feet out. Hunter rubbed his eyes and concluded that this was going to require more training. He sat up and stretched as he soon ventured out and found sets of weights that were set up for anyone that was capable of lifting boulders. The weights were not below 500 pounds and as Hunter trained, he felt something he had not felt in a long time, the feeling of a good workout. Hunter spent up his strength for hours until he was sure that he could give nothing more. He decided to return back home as he gathered his belongings and left the training area, cold and dark, until he could finally fully extend the range of his vision.
As he left the Guard House, the guards watched him. The Sun was setting in the mountains and Hunter knew he had spent the better part of the day inside the training room and would soon be able to show something for it if he ever got the chance to. He walked by the group of guards sparring and then ran into his father.
“I believe it is time you learned of the power that lies within our bloodline Hunter…follow me.” He said as he began to walk towards the Zen garden, a place where Uriel Yagami was usually found when not at his business or at the top of the compound. As they arrived, Uriel motioned for Hunter to take a seat anywhere he wanted, so Hunter sat on the steps as Uriel began to tell his son about the different stages that connect to the tattoos given since birth, and that every stage has unique abilities that will make Hunter into a warrior unlike any other, but they all come at a cost to the body and using the abilities within the bloodline too much could kill him. It is then that Uriel explains the first stage and its final form, the Yagami Black Eyes, telling of the second wind and ability to see in low light, as well as the ability to hunt using the targets body heat.
“I knew a little about our Clans History…but nothing like this…I always wondered why the voice in my head was the way it was, now I guess I kind of understand it…” Hunter said as he the voice in his head decided to put in it’s two cents. “Really…you just thought you were fuckin’ bonkers this entire time….man I could have screwed with you so bad pretty boy.” It sounded a bit happy and annoyed, but Hunter was way to focused as the sun set and darkness fell upon the mountains. In the blink of an eye he found that his father had disappeared, but then a voice rang out. “Hunter…you must learn to utalize the darkness, you are a ninja after all, and darkness is where you will be at your most dangerous.” He said as Hunter could feel the sweat rolling off of him as he looked off trying to adjust his eyes, but was too late. His father was behind him with his own Wakizashi held against his throat. “You still require much training, when you are ready…we will see what you can do and then...maybe you will be ready.” Hunter stood up and bowed before his father, and Uriel bowed before his son before handing him back his weapon. Hunter walked away silently as he went up to his room and prepared for sleep. Was he really ready to become head of the Yagami Clan.
