Matsuda Kito headed out to the training grounds, looking for someone to spar with. A genin was practicing kenjutsu attacks with a wooden stick, and asked Matsuda Kito to help by sparring with him, holding out an identical wooden stick. Matsuda Kito accepted, and grabbed the stick in the middle. The other gennin patiently explained that Matsuda Kito should be holding the stick on the end that was proffered to him (Matsuda Kito) so that the stick would swing like a real sword. Matsuda Kito disagreed, arguing that he would hold a sword the same way. The other gennin sighed, slugged Matsuda Kito, and pulled out a picture of a sword, and, waving it under Matsuda Kito’s nose as he lay on the ground (or more accurately, waved it above Matsuda Kito’s nose). Matsuda Kito saw the picture, and realized his mistake, so he got back up, hit the other gennin for payback from just a few moments before, and picked up the sword representing stick properly.
Matsuda Kito and the genin stood back to back, and then each walked out three steps, whipped around, and charged. The woodland resounded with the clacks (instead of the clangs that would have been produced with real swords) of the two wooden swords being smashed together. Matsuda Kito broke out in a sweat first, quite ahead of the other gennin, as he had not ever handled a sword before, but the other gennin had practiced a lot. Matsuda Kito blocked a blow from the other gennin at the head, using the equivalent of the hilt, holding the sword in reverse grip, and then swung his equivalent of a blade at the other genin’s thigh. The other gennin saw through his move, as Matsuda Kito had not moved very fast, and his sword was soon pointing at Matsuda Kito’s throat (the other genin’s sword, not Matsuda Kito’s sword). Matsuda Kito conceded and the two set up again for a second fight.
Matsuda Kito charged first, sword held overhead in both hands. The other gennin swung his sword in reverse grip at Matsuda Kito’s rib cage. Both sticks connected at the same time. Matsuda Kito got clobbered in the second lowest rib cage, and the other gennin got hit in the collar bone (having tilted his head to avoid getting clobbered in an obviously more dangerous spot). Both genin went down, clutching at the recently struck body part or area. Slowly, the two gennin got up, and picked up their swords. Matsuda Kito and the other genin began circling each other. The other gennin charged this time, holding the sword in both hands, in preparation for a thrust, by his right side. He was brought up short by the stick pointing at his chest, courtesy of Matsuda Kito. The other gennin cursed, conceded, and got ready to fight again, holding the sword in reverse grip, the end just visible from the front, sticking over the other shoulder.
Matsuda Kito decided to mirror the other genin since the other genin had had more experience with kenjutsu. The other genin charged, and Matsuda Kito charged to meet him. Each swung his sword in reverse grip at the other genin (Matsuda Kito slightly behind), but each genin stopped the other’s swing with the extra hand. The two genin, Matsuda Kito, and the other genin, stood there, pushing with both arms, each trying to simultaneously push the other over. Matsuda Kito suddenly pulled the other genin around, and the other genin was taken by surprise, being accelerated by Matsuda Kito and flying into a tree. The other genin collapsed on the ground, and Matsuda Kito jumped through the air at him. The other genin saw Matsuda Kito coming and rolled to the side. Matsuda Kito crashed, headfirst, into the bushes at the front of the tree, his foot unintentionally kicking the other genin in the chin. The other genin got knocked out as a result.
Matsuda Kito danced around, happy that he won, and then ran off back into Amegakure, to get healed up from the fight. After a quick trip to the doctor, Matsuda Kito went off to a bar to get a sandwich. Upon entering, he was accosted by a drunk guy who swung a fist at Matsuda Kito, not cluing in that he was a ninja (Matsuda Kito not the other guy) as the drunk guy was not a ninja. The resulting kick sent the drunk guy flying out the door and into the street. The drunk guy landed on a second drunk guy, and the resulting brawl spread out into the street. Meanwhile, inside, Matsuda Kito was accosted by several of the first drunk guy's friends, who were sent flying across the room to different places, runnig into, stumbling into, or flying into various other patrons. The entire room paused in their activities to roll up their sleeves. Soon, a bar room brawl was in full swing. Matsuda Kito was tackled from behind by a guy in a trench coat. The trench coat guy offered to castrate Matsuda Kito for only 1000 ryo, but Matsuda Kito replied that it was quite a bad deal and rolled over, smashing the trench coat guy into a chair. The trench coat guy was left, dazed, on the ground, and Matsuda Kito dived back into the fray, forgetting about the sandwich he had wanted earlier and 'which was the reason for coming in the first place.
Matsuda Kito entered the dust storm kicked up in the middle of the room, and joined the other combatants duking it out in the the big dust cloud, blindly flailing all his limbs out like the others, and hoping to hit something. He succeeded on his first try. Matsuda Kito's fist floundered around on his shoulder, clubbing another combatant in the face. The other combatant, flailing his arms around, hit Matsuda Kito in the shoulder. Matsuda Kito stumbled over sideways, and crashed into a third combatant. The third combatant slapped out with his open hand, and caught Matsuda Kito in the face. Matsuda Kito got angry and kicked the third combatant in the fork of the legs. At the same time he was hit in the back from behind by a fourth combatant. Matsuda Kito fell on the floor and was trampled by several other combatants charging towards each other. Matsuda Kito groaned, and then lashed out, tripping another combatant who stumbled, and collapsed on top of Matsuda Kito. The breath was knocked out of Matsuda Kito as the other combatant fell on top of him. In the dust cloud, it was difficult to see, so a third combatant tripped over the sprawling Matsuda Kito and the first other collapsed combatant, beginning a pattern that would absorb all the combatants in the center of the room. Soon, the dust in the middle of the room settled, as all the combatants were tangled up in a large pile with Matsuda Kito trapped at the bottom. No one was happy, so a lot of flailing , thrashing, and general struggling began, many of the combatants towards the edge of the bar room brawl stopping o watch the pile collectively fight and wriggle around. Slowly, the pile came back apart, as people would manage to finish slowly un-entangling themselves from the twisted limbs. Matsuda Kito was one of the last, being on the bottom, to get out of the pile. The combatants looked around, and then collectively collapsed.
Eventually Matsuda Kito got back up, and had his sandwich. Then he stumbled out of the bar and got into a fight with the first drunk guy he had encountered. The drunk guy was not feeling very happy at the moment so when Matsuda Kito stepped on the drunk guy’s face (because the guy’s face was just in front of the door), the drunk guy was not very happy. He jumped to his feet, but Matsuda Kito was not feeling very happy either, so a quick jab from Matsuda Kito sent the drunk guy back to the ground. Matsuda Kito was then tackled by the drunken guy and the two of them rolled around for several sentences before Matsuda Kito got the upper hand, holding the other combatant in a “Boston” Crab. The other guy refused to give up so Matsuda Kito instead sat on top of the drunk guy and twisted the drunk guy’s arm behind his back. The drunk guy would have given up but the alcohol finally got to him – the drunk guy collapsed on the ground. Matsuda Kito went home and had a nap.
The next day, he got up. Envy had started to speak to him again, urging him onwards toward strength and power. Whenever he saw other people, Envy always put the feeling of sheer jealousy and hatred toward others into his heart. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling, but Matsuda Kito couldn’t help it. It was his fault that he had this personality inside him, but he didn’t feel that he had any control over this other self. It was quite annoying, actually; he was getting tired of the evil that was inside of him. As he spoke this, Envy laughed, reminding Matsuda Kito that he had just made a gay joke. Well, that was surprising, he didn’t know that Envy had an actual sense of humor. He went out and decided to do some wallruns, rather than suffer through what he had the day before. It had been pretty stressful. Now, Matsuda Kito had to do some wallruns. He started out warming up, jogging around the training grounds several times before truly beginning. He then accelerated, using the surface climbing jutsu to walk on the fence and run around and around, running sideways, his lungs inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide, his heart pumping faster, the carboxide anhydrase in his blood binding and unbinding. He was really having a work out. Soon, he slowed and came to a slow stop. Envy allowed him a break, in order to restore his system.
Now, he got up and went at it again. He decided not to do anything brash that would destroy his tissues, so he set up some dummies and used various wind jutsu on them. He managed to slice some heads off, and puncture the torsos of several of them, which was a gratifying experience. He then proceeded to knock and slice open the dummies with Vajra combined with vacuum bullets. He got up, and there was that genin. He immediately knocked him out, and stripped him down, and stashed him, tied up, in the forest. “Good job, Matsuda, you actually beat someone. Now, why not go a little higher? I’ll wait on you, take your time.” Matsuda decided to do it later, but he was distracted by some bears. He smirked, and released vacuum bullets, penetrating their hides and their hearts, killing them instantly. “You pathetic animals cannot defeat my might. Just stay out of my way.”
He returned to the center of the village, and wall ran all the way home. It was a pleasant experience, feeling the awe and fascination of the pitiful civilians as he ran sideways past them. But… should he really be feeling that? That feeling of superiority? No… it was evil. “MATSUDA, YOU IDIOT! Why do you feel guilt as you pass through this rabble? Here, I will show you the true vision of this world. BEHOLD!”
Just as Matsuda Kito arrived back at his own house, he collapsed on the floor, his mouth wide open. When he awoke, the world looked so much darker. It was the same, but the filter through which he viewed it was different. He saw it as Envy saw it, where everyone had something he hadn’t. There…. There was so much in the world to have that others already did! Every existing power… was someone else’s? No… he would not accept that. He would acquire everything!”
“Yes… I see… this entire time, you’ve been right Envy.” He smiled, and went inside.
