Chakra Training
Thu Dec 26, 2013 7:06 pm
Maku had set out to master the transformation technique. It was a fairly basic technique; after all nearly every ninja could use it at least moderately well. Maku had been reading on the history of several jutsu and had learned of one of the hokage that had mastered the technique so well, that she actually caused herself to look younger at all times. The ability to control ones appearance with no hand signs, and the ability to keep it up with minimal chakra usage was a tempting combination and one that Maku planned to acquire. Setting out to his favorite training spot, a secluded place in the village, He went to attempt the mastery of the basic skill.
Standing alone, Maku made the necessary signs to change his form. He did this rapidly. Flashing from form to form. Nameless villagers, old teachers, his parents, and everyone whose face he could picture flashed into existence for several seconds as he rushed through the forms. By doing this he hoped to burn though a massive amount of chakra as quickly as he could. Once he had run through these paces, he felt that he was properly warmed up for to continue. Taking in a deep breath, and placing his hands together, not in a hand sign but clasped together to prevent hand signs. Gathering his chakra together, he focused on the feeling that he got when he had been changing forms. As by changing forms so many times, he now had a good idea of how his chakra had to move to transform.
Focusing his chakra, he felt the ebb and flow of the power inside of him. Pushing the chakra to his skin, he attempted to cause it to make him transform. When he opened his eyes, he realized that a good amount of time had passed. Sighing, he was slightly discouraged that nothing had happened. Closing his eyes once again, he began to try again. This time he felt the change working, felt the familiar feeling and then “poof”. Looking at his hands he could tell it worked, Maku had attempted to make himself appear as an old man. The wrinkles and spots dotting his skin proved it. Walking over to look in some water however, Maku noticed that only parts of his body had changed. Releasing the jutsu he set back to try again.
Over the course of two more attempts, Maku had been able to successfully cast the jutsu over his whole body, without the use of hand signs. This was a good sign however, he felt tired each time after he had cast it. Thus it was still ineffective. Without it being a skill that used little energy it was worthless. The sun had began to set, and Maku though making progress wanted to try something, a little field work.
Walking into town he would pick out people, walk down an alleyway, and then use the transformation technique to assume their form. Maku would then do some jogging, transformed, to put the skill to a test. Maku continued to do this until sweat had saturated his clothes, both fake and real. Grabbing a bite to eat he rested for the night, hoping that a night of rest could help in his training as much as staying out till dawn. Waking up he felt that his chakra reserves had been refilled. Rejuvenated he took up where he left off. Walking in to town he would find people, and increasingly people that looked nothing like him, and transformed and then would work out in their form. By the end of the second day the skill was closing in on being mastered. Maku could now take the form of others with ease. And even the workouts were no longer putting strain on him. He had already grown so much that he hadn’t been in his own skin per say since he had awoken this morning. Once again as the day concluded Maku opted for some sleep.
However as he laid his head down, an idea sprang to mind. Fluxing his chakra he took the form of a random village woman he had seen. Snuggling into bed in the shape of another, Maku prepared to enter sleep. This would be a test to see if the form would hold after sleeping. After awakening he looked down, and startled out of bed. Momentarily forgetting that he had transformed the surprise bone structure came as a shock. Getting out of bed, though once his head had cleared, he was very impressed with himself.
Using the same training method as the previous two days, Maku continued to put his body and chakra control to the test. He could now transform on a whim, and holding form was no longer even a thought. His body produced more chakra than it cost him to maintain the form, and after all this, Maku knew that he now had mastered the skill.
The real question however had become what to do with the skill. Walking around town, Maku attempted to discover what vision to take. Such a skill was only as good as its uses. Maku knew that he looked young, he always had. Because of this Maku took on what he imagined he would look like in several years. Making himself look a few inches taller, having his hair grow out a bit, and adding age and muscle tone to his body. The form pleased him. At the very least he wouldn’t be mistaken for a student anymore.
Walking around the rest of day in his new form, he felt like he got some new looks. Just by appearing older, he knew he had a bit more respect as a ninja. He even noticed some females looking his way, which unfortunately just caused him to blush, and walk quickly in another direction. Overall Maku was satisfied with his past three days of training, the mastery of the technique went perfect, and had unlimited uses. Maku could only think that now that he had mastered two jutsu, it was time to get the earth release and some elemental training under his belt.
(Word count = 1024 chakra training, mastered transformation technique, due to the post being relevant)
