A Reason To Keep Fighting [nk]

Koaru smiled as Jason finally noticed. He dusted himself off just when flour settled on his shoulders and his hair. He then gripped his right bicep with his left hand. "It's my new Raiton chakra technique. Lightning Uppercut" he announced proudly. He looked at Jason as he rose from the rubble created by the pile of crates. The effects of the punch would soon wear off after he got up. Koaru extended his arms at both sides, such as to provoke cheers from the crowd of orphans. He wanted to show how great it has been since he became a ninja, and found friends to train with and become strong. 

He looked toward Jason. He still feeling the brunt of his technique. Koaru began to run toward Jason. He would not let the fight end here. "Now, show me how much stronger you have gotten since we last fought" Koaru yelled as he approached Jason. The electricity must have felt like hell, but it was nothing too serious. He was an uzumaki, after all, and could definitely endure the pain. Koaru jumped in the air at eye length. Koaru swung his left leg toward Jason's head.

Jason blocked the left leg with his right arm and threw him down to the ground while Jason got up and dusted his clothes off of dust and other junk. "well, let me show you then how strong i am...." Jason said as he made a few hand seals. "earth style! flying rocks!" Jason finished the last hand seal and spat at koaru's face. if the rocks would hit then it would leave koaru wide open. should the flying rock jutsu hit then Jason would stomp on koaru's stomach.

Koaru's kick was deflected, and he was thrown about two meters in front of Jason. He landed on his feet, with his hand already in his ninja pouch located on his back side. Koaru had witnessed Jason pull of a string of hand signs. Among them was the hand seal designated for Doton, or earth style techniques. What Koaru pulled out was a scroll. But what was in this scroll? Koaru unraveled the paper scroll with the same hand while his other hand harnessed his chakra, with two of his fingers pointing upwards. A cloud of smoke appeared between Koaru and the scroll, whose paper flickered in the wind. From the smoke appeared a large tower shield, which Koaru quickly grabbed with the hand that was not holding the scroll. 

With the shield fully equipped, Koaru heard Jason say the words of the jutsu he was about to use. Koaru soon heard the taps of a few pebbles hit the shield. "Heh, how do you like my new shield?!" Koaru boasted. Koaru noticed that the crowd had gotten a little larger. Jason would certainly see Koaru's summoned shield, and whether or not Jason would still come to kick him head on was unclear. But, if he did, Koaru would use the shield to block it, and push Jason away, hopefully onto his back.

"hmmm. a large shield... what to do..." Jason looked around and smiled as he spotted the crates that were lying around. Jason walked up to one crate that was 5 meters away from him and lifted it up above his head. "eat this, koaru!!" Jason threw the crate towards koaru's direction. if the crate would hit the shield as planned then Jason would channel a chakra chain at his left and right hand and throw them towards koaru's arms and Jason would then pull his arms which would result in a nasty gnash at koaru's arms.

Koaru tucked his item scroll away, then raised both his arms, as if he was a gladiator who had just survived a battle to the death. He waved to the crowd, and even turned way from Jason, leaving Koaru wide open and defenseless for now. Apparently, the applause he was getting from the orphans were that important to him. Koaru had distracted himself and did not notice that Jason was already planning his next attack. When he finally noticed, Koaru turned around only to see a large crate hurdling toward. The crate bounced off his face and Koaru flew backwards, his nose bloodied. The shield clanged on the ground as Koaru landed belly up. while he used his free hand to nurture his nose. "Oiii Jason that hurts!!" he complained as he kicked the air like a fussy infant. Soon after, Koaru's expression grew more serious as he heard the sound of another one of Jason's chains unwind.  Koaru got up just as Jason threw the chains. Jason's face seemed to express to Koaru that this fight was far from over.

Koaru, now on his feet, bashed his shield into one of the chains, deflecting it on to the left. While he did this, his right hand unsheathed the ninjato he kept just above his ninja pouch. He used the blade to deflect the second chain off to his right. Then, Koaru dashed toward Jason, in between the two trails of chakra chain. Koaru closed the gap between the two ninja and lowered his ninjato on Jason's shoulder, as if to dismember him. Koaru was not after blood, but as Konoha shinobi all knew, if you are not trying to kill your sparring partner, you're not doing him any favors. Koaru knew Jason would know that he respected Jason by coming at him with his blade.

Jason focused a chakra chain to come out from his shoulder to block the ninjato that would injure his shoulder. Jason then used this opportunity to punch koaru at the stomach really hard with his right hand. should the punch connect then koaru would collapse to the floor in great pain. Jason was running out of chakra, so he had to finish this fast. if the punch would connect so that koura would stumble to the ground then Jason would punch koaru at the left cheek.

Koaru's blade was deflected and it went flying out of his hand, landing blade first  in the dirt a meter off. Koaru had forgotten that those chains could come out from anywhere. Koaru's breath left his body as Jason's fist met his stomach. His dreads flew past his face, blocking his view of the second hit that was coming. Jason landed a second punch, putting Koaru face up on the ground, just inches away from his ninjato. Koaru sat up using his sword as an aide. The shield on his left arm burst into a small cloud of smoke. Koaru had dismissed it back to its storage in his scroll. He was out of breathe. Koaru admitted defeat, saying "Well, I guess you win this round. BUT, dont think that means you're cooler than me!! I'm still the one who will get all the girls, you know...." Koaru continued babbling about women as he finally got up and sheathed his ninjato. Koaru thought about the fought they had. Koaru knew Jason had grown stronger, and so had he! However, Koaru's rant was cut short when he realized he had not even remembered to use his Moringan! There were also so many jutsu Koaru had learned that he did not show Jason yet. Perhaps the match would have ended differently if he was not such a goof...

Jason smiled as he stretched out his right arm as the chains retracted back to his body. "thanks for a great match, koaru. you've become stronger." Jason said. this truly was a great show for the kids. though, Jason doesn't remember if he has used gogyo fuuin on koaru. Jason was also unsure if he'd be knocked unconscious because of it.

"Yea yea...you too" Koaru said as he dusted himself off. He took his place at Jason's side and faced the kids of the orphanage. The kids cheered and muttered amongst themselves about how they would grow up to be splendid ninja like Koaru and Jason. They all rushed over to the two ninja to get their autographs. Jason was more of the humble type. The type to be surprised by this kind of attetion. However, Koaru ate it all up. He was grabbing pens and writing signatures left and right. There was even a girl a little closer to Koaru's age that approached the ninja. Koaru demanded that she call him in a few years. Starstruck, Koaru placed his arm over Jason's shoulder after all the signatures were done. Koaru was hoping he would recieve this kind of attention from all the lovely citizens of Konoha, especially the women. Koaru had high hopes and dreams, and knew Jason would help him get there. "Come on, lets get out of here, Jason" he said as proceeded out of the orphanage district. "We can go get that lunch you owe me for being late. I'm thinking barbecue. Steak is my favorite!" Koaru babbled on and on, waiting for his friend to follow.
