Hidden Mist Technique Mastering
Fri Mar 07, 2014 11:52 pm
Montague Hebi listened to the water drip in the dank caver, similar to the one that he lay comatose in for over a year. Hebi's plan for the day was simple. He needed to make sure he had a mastery of his Hidden Mist Technique. Mastering it will allow him to create the mist from simply the water in the air, instead of relying upon a source of water.
Hebi focused his chakra, preparing himself. Focusing upon the small pool of water in the cave, he performed the justu, using his chakra to form it into a dense mist. Slowly the mist rose up from the puddle, slowly filling up the cave. Once he had filled the cave, he released the jutsu, waiting for the cave to become clear of mist.
Once the cave was clear, Hebi repeated the process, performing the Hidden Mist Technique jutsu, though this time, focusing on the water in the very air. This time the mist formed higher off the water, though it still was drawing mostly off the pool of water. The mist rose and once more filled the cave, and Hebi released the jutsu.
This time, as the cave was clearing, Hebi moved farther away from the pool. He then performed the jutsu once more, and noticed that it was drawing less from the pool, yet was still drawing some water from the pool. As he performed the jutsu, the cave once more filled up with mist.
Hebi continued this, slowing moving further and further from the pool. After several more tries, he was able to draw almost completely from the moisture in the air.
Hebi looked out of the cave, and saw that it was finally night time. Moving his training outside, he was able to fully test his mastery, as the cave air was pretty moist, even not next to the pool.
Hebi rested for a couple minutes, letting his chakra regather. Once he had a good amount, Hebi performed the jutsu again, this time focusing simply on the water that is naturally in the air.
Slowly the air filled with mist, much slower then when he had performed it in the cave. As the air filled with mist, Hebi enjoyed the cool feeling of it on his skin. Now that Hebi was able to use the water in the air, he had to get the speed up to the same as when using a water source.
As Hebi practiced his jutsu, he thought of the future uses of this mastery. Being able to form mist from just the air would allow more mist techniques. He knew he would have to learn the mist clone technique, as that technique was much better then the simple clone technique that the standard Genin learns.
Hebi released that he was hungry, and decided to take a break to eat. Using his sense of smell and hearing, he hunted for a food source. As Hebi searched, he found several meal-prospects; none of them met Hebi's standards for animal blood.
Hebi, ever since his awakening from the coma on snake blood, he preferred to only dine on snake blood when he had to resort to animal blood; mostly has he deemed them the only animals worthy of being feasted upon. When he found one, Hebi used his amplified speed to catch it, and bite into it's squirming body, right below the mouth.
As he drank the blood, he could not wait. Ever since his awakening from the coma, he has had a special interest into snakes. They were fascinating creatures, with many traits that Hebi himself desired. Currently he was unable to do anything, but eventually, he planned on learning the skills needed.
Finally being done, Hebi threw the body on the ground. Now that he finished eating, he was ready to get back to mastering this jutsu. Focusing his concentration, Hebi performed the jutsu. This time, the mist developed at a much faster rate.
As he continued to perform the jutsu, Hebi started to think about the difference between the hidden mist jutsu, and the mist generation jutsu from his bloodline. The former was dense, preventing sight; while the former only hindered it, yet spread out over a much farther area.
Mist style jutsu was a standard style for ninja from Kiragakure no sato, or Village Hidden in the Mist. And though Kira might no longer exist, her style still does in either those who studied it, or those, who like Hebi, survived her destruction.
The Hidden Mist Technique was a standard technique for Kira-nin assassin's, as it provides cover for covert assassinations. It also is one of the most basic mist jutsu, and used for a lot of more advanced mist jutsus.
Hebi practiced the jutsu late into the night, getting the nuisances and kinks worked out. As he used and reused the the jutsu, Hebi could feel his mastery of the Hidden Mist Technique growing as he performs it countless times. With each time that the mist dissipated, and he performed the jutsu again, he was able to more easily draw the water from the air, and turn it into his needed mist.
One of the biggest uses for the jutsu, is that it blocks out the sun, and causes his body to react like it does at night, growing more powerful. By using this, even in the middle of the day, Hebi is able to increase his abilities.
The main reason for Hebi to master this is for his plans to become a contract killer, an assassin. Not to mention his plans to use it to slip in and out of places undetectable to advance his mission to become more powerful. With the other techniques that branch of a mastery of the mastered Hidden Mist Technique, there was a thousand other reasons to master this technique to it's fullest.
Hebi kept up the jutsu for several more hours, doing everything that he thought was needed to test his mastery. After he was finished, the sun was starting to peak from below the horizion. Moving back into the cave, Hebi prepared himself for a days rest, to recharge himself for a day of putting the mastery to use.
