Youka Techin Maku Ninja stuff

Maku arrived at some training grounds.  He had asked Youka to come and teach him a couple of ninjutsu, as he was trying to balance his skills.  Once he arrived he began stretching, and activated his sharingan.  He wanted to receive a supplementary jutsu and an offensive jutsu that they could use collaboratively.  Looking around, Maku would stand and wait for his friend to arrive.

Youka had walked into the snowy field to reach his best friend that had asked that he teach him a few of his own techniques to round him out as a fighter even more. The first he would teach Maku was the swamp of the underworld jutsu. It was very versatile and could be used in most situations to not only drown a enemy but also slow them down and make tracking them easier. He was happy to teach his friend how to use it as they would both be taking on some interesting things later on.

"Hey Maku, so yea I got your message and I'd love to help ya, so watch my hands carefully and mimic me. Just don't use this thing right under me, that would not be fun. There are so many handsigns for this jutsu your mind will have trouble remembering them all and I might have to show you twice or three times more than likely for this."

With that Youka brought his hands together and started weaving the hand signs slowly one by one in order to activate the jutsu. His hands quickly grew tired and worn out after he did the hand signs required. His hands formed the boar and the tiger handseal and the ground to the left of Maku opened up in a small puddle of mud and snow.

"There you go"

Maku watched as Youka performed the necessariy hand seals for the jutsu. He took in every miniscule detail with that sharingan eye of his. The movements were made almost in slow motion for how they appeared. In doing so they were permanently memorized within Maku’s mind in that moment and for all the moments that would follow. As he witnessed this, he almost forgot to watch as the actual jutsu was formed and created. A large swamp was quickly formed and created over a large area. It had a poisonus look to it, and one of immense strength. He could tell that if caught inside of such a thing, he could easly be pulled in and never escape such a place. Having the signs of the ability, he listened to any explanation that Youka might give him on the inner workings of the jutsu, and amthing that he might need to know about it as he prepared to perform such a jutsu. Maku considered his options and began gathering chakra for the attempt of the jutsu. As he prepared it he witnessed the justs being formed inside of his mind. He would then take in a deep breath to begin the jutsu in earnest.

Continuing to gather his chakra, he made the exact hand seals in the same way Youka had just done so. Placing his hands on the ground he was able to create a small swamp around half the size of the one Youka had been able to create. Giving it a slight frown, he figured that wasn’t such a bad attempt for a first go. Letting the swamp exist for a short time, he decided to release it and it would disappear into the ground. Refocusing his efforts, he would try again. His chakra levels were much higher than Youka’s so he should have a better chance at creating a larger swamp after all. Once he had had a small respite, he made the hand seals once again, and placed his hands on the ground pulsating a huge amount of chakra into the ground, to mold it into what he wanted. Once done a massive swamp appeared and sucked in several trees in the training grounds. Indeed this was a more impressive feat, and one that he ahd been trying to achieve. Sure it only took two tries, but Maku was still slightly disappointed. He prided himself on being a powerful shinobi, and failure even on a small scale was not to be tolerated.

Maku let the swamp once again disappear. It had been the exact same size as Youka’s so it was indeed a usefull tool. Next he would seek to make it even larger. He would have it so. In this way he already considered how he could strengthen Yuki’s defenses. If an invader met him at the gate he would easly be able to at least make up a defense. Either pushing the enemy backwards to give him more time, or trapping them in the swamp killing them instantly. Gathering his powers one last time, he would see the most massive swamp yet. His chakra swirled and pulsated, pressing against his body as he pulled as much possible. He display of power would even appear as his chakra manifested itself into something more physical. Once this had been started, the hand seals were made in a matter of a couple seconds. And once again his hands found their way to the cold ground. Smashing them, his chakra manifested itself over the ground and had it change form, molding and manifesting the swamp of death that he sought. Indeed, a more impressive swamp could not have been created if anyone had done so. He could almost feel the power of the swamp from were he stood.

Letting it disappear, he found himself sitting down. He had ex[punged a huge amount of chakra in very little time, over and over again creating the jutsu of choice. It wasn’t exactly a low ranking jutsu either, so it had not helped matters. As he sat he would look towards Youka, and make small talk. Maku would eventually stand and walk back and forth a couple times, getting blood back to his legs, and resting for a little bit before he attempted the jutsu one more time. He would give it one more go to ensure he had the jutsu throughouly placed in his mind. He didn’t want to leave the traiing grounds and then never be able to perform the jutsu again after all. Once he felt rested enough, he went through the exact same motions as he had before. The swamp that was created was a huge one. He had done it without even beginning to think about the sharingan. Thus he knew he had got himself mastered in the art of this jutsu. The swamp of the underworld, an appropriate name for how he would be using it against his enemeies.

After that Maku went to stand next to Youka to see if the man had any last minute critiques for him to attempt to fix. “Well, whats next my friend. I know you have a couple more tricks up your sleeves, so lets see them. I would like to learn at least another jutsu or two before the day is out. Don’t worry I am a quick learner after all.” He would wait Patiently for his friend to show him any other tricks that he had up his sleeves. As he watched he anticipated a technique revolving around the water element. After all Maku had fire, and now had a decent earth style jutsu, what he really could use was some water techniques. Besides when coupled with Youka’s lightning jutsu it could become a very deadly combo attack. Standing, he would have his sharingan eye focused intently on Youka to gauge and watch every single move he made so as not to miss even the smallest of steps. This eye sure was coming in handy when it came to training.

Youka was amazed at how quickly Maku picked up on things and loved the idea of both of them always pushing each other to grow further. This would push him to want to reach for greater and bigger things as well as they continued this journey together.

"Ok the next is a very quick water blast that you've seen before and know the power behind, so I won't bore you with details and just get straight to the point. It's only one handsign, which is the tiger handseal and you breath in and breath out to intiate it."

With that he made the seal and took in a deep breath before expelling water at a rapid and fierce pace into the distance. The water stream ripped through trees and training poles in the distance.

"Your turn".

Maku watched what his friend had done, and like he had done with the original jutsu, he copied each movement with his sharingan. It was augmented into his memory for the moment, however he would see it permanently given space through practice. Getting himself ready, he moved to be in a spot that he had a lot of opened area. This was a particularly destructive technique and anyone caught in the cross hairs could be permanently killed, as such he would be forced to be exceptionally careful. So once he was moved over enough with nothing but clear view in front of him, he began preparing the ability. He felt the chakra in his belly. This was were it all started. Once there he kneeded it very similar to his fire release jutsu that he had grown accustomed to using. Once this was done he let it move up and down, making the tiger hand seal. Once this was done he opened his mouth and let them spew forth. The water would gush forward, though it was not sharp like he had just witnessed from Youka. Instead it was merely wet. This was disappointing as he thought he had performed the jutsu perfectly.

His problem was easly remedied however. The discrepancy was that he had treated the jutsu just as a fire jutsu. He would just release fire, in a large explosion. Were has he needed to sharpen the water to make it effective. To do so he would need more inward focus as he made the hand seal. So that was were he stared. The water in his belly would churn and be sharpened by his chakra. He could feel it moving, and could feel the power of the skill working. Focusing once again, the tiger hand seal was made and then he would breath out. The sharpness this time was much more noticeable. It would blast forward and rip through several trees cutting down the last few that remained around the main area. This time the technique had been a great success. Perhaps this ninjutsu thing wasn’t so bad. He had always cast them aside in the past, however now that he was suing it, he saw the usefulness of such an art. While his genjutsu was great for finishing and distracting, his S/T was excellent for dodging and maneuvering, ninjutsu was an offensive masterpiece. This would augment his other capabilities in more ways than any other specialty in the ninja arts could. It was what Maku had been lacking, the ability to close on his enemies.

Resting Maku would wait a bit before he would try the jutsu again. He had already gotten it to work with pretty well aimed accuracy and skill. If Maku had one thing, it was a huge amount of chakra and a large amount of chakra control. Also he considered himself the most powerful ninja in the village. Was he more powerful than Youka even, it was a difficult question to answer. He was when it came to his abilities to use genjutus. However because they had fought several times the man had begun to make preventative measures. SO they were even now. He would have to have another true blue fight with him as well. It was always a good time to fight Youka. There battles always made for intresting fights when it could actually be just the two of them. He hated it when Kira got involved, as she was pretty much a waste in the sparring sessions. After all, last time the three way spar included her getting no scoped with a lazer form Maku, and it had been hilarious.

Maku would end his memories of such events, and instead would focus on the water jutsu. Kneading the chakra in his body, he would once again make the necessary hand seals to perform the water cutting jutsu he sought. The hurricane of water exploded forth from his water, leaving large gashes in the ground. Yes, he was feeling satisfied now, with what skills he had. Once again, Maku had proven himself a capable ninja, and worthy to lead Yukigakure. Though the weight of office weighed heavy on him. The shackles of stagnation and unable to travel caused increasing boredome with each passing day. Soon he would need to travel again in earnest. No more just sitting around, he wanted to revisit the borders and see the world truly. Taking in several deep breathes he let loose a cough. Some blood was upon his hand. He had accidently cut himself with his own jutsu. So, perhaps he had not mastered the jutsu has he had anticipated. So, he would need to practice some more. O well, he had given it his best go after all. He would see his fortunes rise however, and master this simple water jutsu. He would not be defeated so easly.

Once again he would turn to his friend and gaze at him, for any last minute tips or tricks that he had not picked up on. Once his friend either spoke or did not speak, Maku would attempt one more time. He would turn kneed the chakra, and explode with water from his mouth. It would be a true jutsu, and upon coughing and feeling his throat afterwards, he did not feal any new scratchiness. So he must have done the jutsu correctly this time. Feeling satisfied he would speak to Youka. “Is there any other jutsu you would like to teach me. That went faster than expected, and the sun is still high in the sky after all. Perhaps another powerful water style jutsu. If I can perform the water jutsu, and you the lightning we can perform some deadly combos. Especially trapping out opponents in such an attack.” He would wait his friend to speak and to show him anything else that he wished to show him. He knew of a powerful water jutsu had used. “Kira used something to create a bubble of water with a giant tidal wave, Do you know of anything like that?”

"Ah yes, yes, the exploding colliding wave, I'm surprised she was able to pick that up as well, it's a rather hard and volatile jutsu to control. I know it and yes I can show you, it's easy as well just need to focus on controlling it so you don't drown everyone in your village hahaha"

As he finished his speech he performed the handseal needed and spewed from his mouth a great torrent of water that continued to flow for a long period off into the distance breaking down trees and washing away snow as it continued on wards as a rampaging natural disaster.

"Alright Sir now you try and show me what you got"

Once again Youka would take on the role of teacher. He began by making the required hand seals and explaining what the jutsu was. It seemed like a large area of effect jutsu that trapped people in a bubble of water. Seemed like a nice skill to have, after all it would get the entire place wet. When paired with Youka’s lightning abilities it would make it an even better skill to possess. SO because teamwork was key, it would be vital that he pick up on this jutsu right away. Now that Youka was awake and out of the hospital, Maku planned on using him to increase his own powers to never before known limits. He wanted power and he was going to get it. However, not only did he gain power, but he also gave Youka power. Their collaboration techniques would be more powerful because of it, if they could work together. Maku stretched his back and had a seat on the ground at first. He was getting fairly tired. He had busted out several A rank jutsu with no thought or regard. He hadn’t worked this hard in some time. However he couldn’t lie, it felt pretty awesome.

Standing back up, he went and watched Youka’s movements and listened to him describe it as a volatile jutsu. Yes indeed, that sounded like the fire element that he had become a student of. Perhaps if he thought of it in that way he would be able to master it even quicker, instead of it being a handicap as the previous water technique had been. The sharingan picked up everything once again, placing the technique into his memory forever. Honestly this thing was more than worth it. If there were any more uchiha he might have to get himself some more. It might be worth it to have hem in both eyes. However that was not the point of today. Looking in a different direction, Maku made the necessary hand seals and created the technique. He opened his mouth and spit water everywhere. It was a powerful wave that made the technique cover over a 50 meter radius. It then also formed a humongous bubble. These techniques were crazy, how had he not learned these before. Kira had tried this technique, but Maku had summoned Sanjetsu to destroy it before anything could actually be done to him, it had been a clever move on his part, and one that he still smiled about when he thought about it. As he watched the bubble form, it shimmered and collapsed in on itself and not at his own command. SO he must not have made it strong enough. He assumed that the jutsu was supposed to last for a long time, not a few seconds and implode.

REgathering himself he began to concentrate on everything that he had seen. It was a giant bubble, so he needed to ensure that the chakra was refined at the edges. To give it a more solid barrier, not just water. It wouldn’t be easy as it had left his body already; however it was still more than possible. After all Kira had done it, so why couldn’t he. He had to take several moments to gather his chakra back up and to take a couple breaths. He was probably going to get pneumonia from spraying all this water all the time. However, it would be worth it in the end if it meant that Youka and he could take the world by storm. Once again, taking position Maku prepared himself to unleash the giant colliding waves. He found that maybe if he considered it like a fire ninjutsu it would work better. That way it would be over a larger area of effect. He needed it wide and strong. However the difference was at the end, he had to refine the chakra control like the Sudanha to get the defined edges of the bubble to maintain a shape and consistency.

Now that he had a mental plan to perform, he would see it into reality. He focused, opened his sharingan wide, and made the hand seals. Opening his mouth he spewed forth a humongous wave. This time however it crashed against the landscape and formed into a bubble as it was supposed to do. It maintained itself as well. Instead of it just crashing down, it stayed a bubble. He continued to watch it to make sure it wasn’t going to fall. After he was confident it wasn’t going to he walked over to it and put his hand into the water. He imagined Youka touching the bubble with a lightning jutsu, and electrocuting everthing that was trapped inside of the jutsu. Trul that would be a good combo if he had ever saw one. He would have to run this by him later, and they would probably have to practice it once or twice to make sure he got it down right. After all, he didn’t want to end up being electrocuted as well. If they could time it right, then it would work out perfectly, and incapacitate all of their foes in one single blow.

Turning very pleased with himself, he would look at Youka smiling. He was pleased, he had mastered three jutsu in a matter of a couple hours. This was a productive day. “So Youka, is there any jutsu I can teach you, I know the shadow clone and a derivitave that allows the clone to explode with devastating force. It is a useful technique indeed especially when you never know what you are going to be up against.” He would wait and see if his friend wanted or even needed to learn these jutsu. Maku didn’t think he knew the skills, but he might after all Youka had been a student of ninjutsu for a much longer time than Maku had been. The sun was nearing the horizon now. The day coming to a close. Either they would take an early evening if he didn’t wish to learn, or they would have a full day if he did.

"There is the jutsu that you used to mark me earlier, I would like to learn that so just in case I would be able to use it as well, if you don't mind"

Youka would wait to hear his friends answer to see if he would be able to teach him the jutsu he wanted to learn. They seemed to be very useful in any situation that would happen.

"It's called the Mark Seal. It is probably about as basic of a fuinjutsu technique as one can perform, which is why it is perfect for me." He says laughing. Fuinjutsu was just above Maku's head, and if it wasn't for the fact a retarded academy student could perform this jutsu, he probablly wouldn't be able to.

"So all you do is create a seal with your very own chakra, and touch someone to leave the mark. It is a seal specific to you, so it will be unique to only you. Once thats done then we can work on another technique that sees this basic one made into something special."

"Ah ok well that seems fairly easy enough, I think I can handle doing this without too much effort"

Taking in the information that his friend Maku had given him he began focusing his chakra into this hands. Here he would bring up his control a little further and begin focusing it into just his fingers. It seemed easy enough and he had previously had a background in fuin before he gave it up for medical. This was an almost too easy task for him to focus on and as he got it down to just one finger he casually focused on and remembered how this chakra felt in his mind and body before looking up at his friend and pointing his index finger.

He would apply the mark to Maku's forehead as well and as quickly as it had appeared on his friend it would disappear just as quickly. In a instant he could feel Maku without having to feel out for him. Indeed this would be an amazing ability to have later on.

"What else would you like to teach me friend, something about summoning you said before, will this tiny little mark really allow anything like that to happen?"

Youka was a little skeptical about the latter actually being feasible but if hi friend said it was possible he would just have to believe him. While he waited for his friend to tell him the next steps to move forward Youka practiced turning his sharingan off and on and switching in between the 1 through 3 tomoe sharingan.
