Re: Meeting The Master [nk io Yaju]

Angel set up in her same stance as when they started, prepared for her masters counter. It hadn’t surprised her that Yaju was able to move with such agility. His training in his wolf form undoubtedly had increased his abilitiy to tumble and roll with a fall. It was a key ability in Taijutsu, from what she had learned. Angel was ok at tumbling but though she had little practice. She was helped by her height and low weight that decreased the damage of simply falling over. Her master was wonderful at teaching her without even saying anything.
As Yaju moved Angel braced herself digging her toes in. Yaju dashed straight forward and at the last second went to her right. The blows from his right hand were obvious being his left arm was out of range. As was her style she redirected the blows with her arms moving in a circle pattern turning the jabs outside her body, first to the right then to the left then the right. As most fighters know it is much easier to redirect a blow then to stop it entirely. This allows the blocker to expend less energy while the attacker tires themselves out. Yaju’s sudden rotation closed the gap for his left arm to get some action. It was a swift move but angel had just enough time to rotate slightly and brace for the impact of the blow.
Yaju’s fist came out of nowhere. The left jab had been a feint and Angel had fallen for it hard. The right straight nailed her straight in the chest causing instant pain. She stumbled backward almost completely lifted off her feet. Her back landed solidly against a training dummy, knocking the rest of her breath out of her chest. However the support of the dummy kept her on her feet. Wheezing and wincing angel kept at least one eye open to watch the actions of her master. She would then take long pained breaths to restore her calm. Regaining her balance she would solidify her arms defensive positions. “shake it off” she would verbally say to herself.
It was Angel’s turn, assuming her master allowed her the respite. Closing the distance angel would take an extra-long step with her right leg as is to fade to that side. Then setting her weight on that leg she spread her toes brought her left arm up to defend her head and her left knee up high to defend the left side of her body from the counter that was sure to come. This allowed her protection on the left and freedom on the right to block any blows with her hand and more attention on that right side that was open. She kept an Eye on Yaju’s hips and shoulders. This was not a pose she was holding, but merely a transition to her next movement. She would only stay like this for a moment, preparing to counter her master’s movement. Her muscles and lungs burned, maybe training so soon might not have been a great idea.

For a moment he wondered if he had actually put a little too much power into that punch but after seeing his student get back up and jump into the fray again he would smile and bound back a couple a feet before returning to his weird fighting stance. As he stood there for a moment he inadvertedly felt his kitsune ears and tail emerge from his body, the silky silver tail wrapping around his torso before falling to the ground," Oh shit...well this is something worth looking into later," maybe using that fighting style wasn't a good idea, but hey results are results aren't they? As his lavender eyes watched Angel move closer to him, at first he would plan on throwing a flurry of punches at her to throw her off guard before ending it with a kick, but judging from the stance she had just taken, he needed something cunning.
Smiling he would run towards her with his hands in front of him, but stopped two meters in front of her and begun to spin around her before stopping to her left and performing a fast low sweep to take her off balance, but his foot would not reach her. Midway through the kick he would use his hands to push himself backwards, his tail wrapping around her leg completely and pulling her with him. His tail being three meters in length and lightweight would wrap around her leg unless she moved out of the way, but then she would fall into his next trick. At the moment his body would reach a meter from her he would use his legs to propel himself forward towards her in a charging position. What made this different from a normal dodge is that his fists would be tucked near his body.
Once he had closed the distance between Angel and himself he would begin to throw right hooks after left hooks in rapid succession as if his hands had begun to blur. After his fourth punch he would throw an intentional left jab as if he wanted her to grab his arm or block it, and when she did he would grab her with his tail and pivot around her and wrap his arms around her waist to bridge backwards to slam her into the ground. Although midway into the bridge he would stop leaving her head suspended over the ground," Think we will call it a day here," he would speak these words softly providing his attack went through. Standing back upright he would sit her down slowly, although his right hand would brush up against her chest not on purpose though. Stepping back he would wonder when his tail and ears would go away but by now he would see that he had two out instead of one which only meant that he activated his partial sage mode without knowing.

She didn’t fail to notice the tail and ear popping out of her master. This wasn’t good. Her master was transforming into the wolf. Angel was pretty sure that she should turn and run right now. She wasn’t really sure what the specifics of her master’s transformation. She knew he retained the ability to speak but beyond that she didn’t know whether he kept his mind or if the adrenaline wolf causes the wolf to tear her apart. But it seemed like her master wasn’t worried about it. He made no motion to stop the fight….She would just have to trust him.
He approached her but stopped out of range. She flexed all her muscles preparing for the attack. He began circling to her left, which made sense moving into her blind spot. But he also moved into range to perform a kick. With him in range she began her assault. Stomping down hard she accidentally landed on her masters tail as his kick which turned out to be a feint ended. His pinned tail might even prevent him from escaping backward maybe even stop the attack that the tail might have made. At the same time she converted the momentum of her stomp into rotational power at her shoulders and hips adding even more power with a twist and pushing hard with her right leg adding leverage to her punch. The first blow would be aimed at his chest, while he was still bent over. As she had stepped on his tail while he was crouched for the sweep kick standing back up was also difficult in his position. Should the blow land Angel would follow it with the same rotation pushing her right leg off, twist on her left leg and her masters tail she would round house kick him in the face. Should this land she would retreat taking her defensive position.
Angel had no Idea how she was doing. Another couple blows from her master she would probably be out for the day. Her chest still hurt. That wasn’t going to go away anytime soon. A major part of the gentle fist style Angel had witness from the few people she had fought, was that the style wore away at your defenses. You would gradually lose the ability to fight. Yaju’s blow to her chest was the command center of her fighting force. His power had left its mark. Though, it was probably just because she had never been that strong to begin with. She had never been good at hand to hand combat which is why she had asked her friend to teach her when she was young. Back then all the boys used to pick on her for being different and as a Kunoichi Angel didn’t want to take the abuse. She had to fight back. And that’s what she did and she never stopped fighting back, against everything that kept trying to get in her way. Angel realized her focus was dissipation and she reapplied her guard.

The feint had been pulled and acted on as angel had finally moved into motion as he planned, even with his tail being stepped on she would have inadvertedly fell for the plan he had laid out. Once her foot had stepped onto his tail he would smile inwardly as he waited for her to complete her first attack. What Angel didn't know was that his tail wasn't just one full tail, it was two. The second tail would emerge from its prone position and continue to renact the movements of the first while Angel had still been in the motion for her first punch, the tail would successfully wrap around the thigh portion of her right leg, the closest one to him.
With this movement being done he would begin to stand up in a half bent position giving him enough leverage to not only take her first blow but block it with his right hand by catching it in his right hand and closing his grip onto it before she could pull away. With her being locked by his tail and hand he would pull her into him with his full strength making her escape become next to impossible. With the force of pulling her she would come off of his first tail, the long object wrapping around her waist and causing her to become wedged onto his chest as his left arm completed the grapple and held her in place. From this movement he would use the strength in his legs to commence a bridge, causing the both of them to bend backwards until her head and been once again close to the ground.
Within the small frame of time she would find her head floating inches above the ground while still locked in his grapple he would slowly unravel her from his tails and stand up slowly, letting her small body be released from his as he back flipped and stood up. Hopefully from that small display right there she would stop to prevent anymore...injuries from happening and also beacuse he did not know why the hell these fox tails came out of nowhere, although it could have been from using the fighting methods of the fox...then again he really didn't care.

Angels foot fell heavy on the tail as she began her attack. Suddenly a second tail came out of nowhere. Angel was already dedicated to her attack. She had put too much on the line for her attack. But then again she knew too little about the art of hand to hand combat to know how to prevent her master from overwhelming her. The second tail wrapped around her left thigh being it was the closest to Yaju. It was obvious that her master could easily beat her. The power he had in his tail was enough to overpower her. The tail pulled her leg of the other one and it swiftly wrapped around her waist pulling her into the biggest bear hug she had ever had. She felt herself being pulled off the ground with amazing force. She let the attack continue. She really had no option that would get neither of them hurt. Wincing waiting for the inevitable suddenly everything stopped. Opening her eyes she saw the ground only inches away. “Good job. Proved your point” Yaju released her. He seemed more alarmed by his tail and ears than she did….though he seemed to utilize the wolf tails in battle fairly well for someone being surprised the tails were there. “So….?” Angel waited. Her master was strong but he intimidated her. She supposed that wasn’t a bad thing but she wanted teaching. She was also very frustrated. She thought her moves were very well planned out and executed. But her masters special fighting style had blocked everything. Angel began to beat her forehead on a stone training dummy. She somehow was always able to screw up. No matter what she did it was never good enough in the end. Her earth style chakra protected her head from any damage but this helped her think. Her face twitched almost imperceptibly and with the help of a little earth style shoved the entire puppet into the ground. Gritting her teeth she sat down and took a large breath in through her nose and held it. Using the breath to mix and balance her positive and negative chakra she expelled the excess negative chakra out though her breath. It was a trick she had learned to keep her calm. “Master, teach me what I’m doing wrong.” She needed to figure out what she does wrong. The things she does right she will simple continue to do. But it’s the wrong things that she had to work on. She would stand up and brush herself off stretching her muscles while her master deals with his extra appendages.

The tails wrapped around his waist slowly as he smiled to Angel and walked over to her before pulling her into a hug and ruffling her soft hair," Don't beat yourself up over it...from the looks of it you were using the Gentle Fist style correct? Your stance so far is flawless and good along with your speed and dexterity....the only thing wrong was that you do not have the other fundamentals that make the style useful. Watching her move to the dummy and begin to slam her head into it, he would move behind her and pull her form into him as he hugged her. His body would be pressed against hers as his tails slowly comforted her," Don't beat yourself up over it Angel...," moving away from her for a moment he would tap the tails on his chin as he formulated a lesson plan to help her out with this.
When she had asked him to point out and help her find out what was wrong he would place a tail onto her lips and chuckle," Remember i told you not to call me master, just call me by my given name or i will make you run laps around these cavern systems," removing the tails he would nod," I'll teach you the ways of the Gentle Fist and even teach you some of the techniques, BUT what i teach you....you cannot under any circumstances teach anyone what i teach you and i will need you to swear on your life that you will uphold this agreement," after she had agreed to his terms he would nod and continue," good. Oh by the way these are fox tails....don't ask if i twitch when you scratch my ears...because i think that answer is obvious now get into your stance and lets begin," sliding to the left he would stand beside her and wait for her to join him.

Yaju was so kind. It was hard to imagine he was such a good fighter. Angel nodded “Yeah well my stance and movements are derived from the Gentle fist style. I had a child hood friend that I used to train with. I kind of copied off how she would fight. But…When she uh….When she died I had to train on my own. But obviously it wasn’t enough” Angel then moved to the dummy and proceeded with her admonishment ritual. However Yaju came over to stop her. Looking up at him her forehead would be undamaged, but her eyes would reveal the turmoil still bubbling. The problem was she simply couldn’t just figure out this problem like she did with the other problems. But Yaju did a good job with replacing that issue with a solveable one. He told her not to call him master. This was the second time. She normally was good at not calling him that but when she got upset it seemed it would slip out. But that was only because in her head she still referred to him and her master. He was the only one to fill that role and that was the role he was filling. However to him it was only a matter of the title that he didn’t want her saying. She could fix the issue and hopefully never call him that. She really didn’t want to run laps. But the solution was a psychological one. She merely made her masters name synonymous with the title and whenever she thought of the title would instead use his name. It was as simple as it sounded and Angel felt good that she could solve a problem.
Then Yaju surprised her again. By saying that He would train her to use the Gentle fist style. Angel didn’t know what to say. The fact that he was able to teach her meant that he was of the Hyuuga clan himself. Angel had no idea, but she supposed she hadn’t spent too much time around her master, to know his entire background. But that being said he probably would be the only master that she could have had to complete her training. “I promise Yaju on pain of death that I shall keep this oath.” The words had come to her from some recess of her mind. She got a flash of a man cloaked in the night. She had been very young. It looked like her mother was in the room talking to him. She heard her mother utter the same words. “…On pain of death I shall keep this Oath.” It was all she remembered. Angel smiled as Yaju talked about his tails. Now she wanted to scratch his ears. Then he began and Angel followed closely. She was always a good student. But she was beginning to see the wall she would have to face. “Yaju… This technique is just… It’s designed to be used in conjunction with the Hyuuga line’s Byakugan. I can do the movements but what effect will it have?” Even with these concerns it didn’t prevent Angel from still practicing. Just because it was hard didn’t mean she would give up.

While it was true that she would need the Byakugan to see the chakra points in conjunction with the clan's technique's there was also something else she could do with it. Looking at Angel he would smile," True you would need the Byakugan in order to see the chakra points and shut them down, but the Gentle Fist can also be used to shut down the body's mobility. Just like the Chakra points, the body's pressure points can be used to disable and immobilize someone, Here let me show you," walking over to the stone dummies he would softly strike four of the common pressure points in the body, each located on the sides of the shoulders and arms.
After striking them he would smile and begin to explain," Within striking these four pressure points with the Gentle Fist style, you can efficiently shut down both arms to slow the enemy down. This can be done without the Byakugan and allow you to use the style just like its intended use. This is what i will be teaching you slowly with the help of some of the charts and books in the house you will be able to use this style to your own advantage and make something of it for yourself," after fully explaining it to her he would chuckle and flex his fingers.
After looking around for a bit he would have found one of the books he was actually talking about, remembering that he had been using that book to make up something new, but he had given up on it after a couple of days. One of his tails would reach for the book and then pass it to Angel," read over this in your spare time and learn the pressure points of the body in verbatim to make sure you can find them on anybody regardless of height or weight. Also you will need to further condition your body so that your fingers can properly channel and use the chakra that you will be using to shut down and damage these pressure points. After that you will be able to use the style and be good in it," after speaking he would lean down and wait for her to either ask him some questions or try out what he had shown her, but as it stood he would be able to see her actually getting through this training.

Re: Meeting The Master [nk io Yaju]

Yaju demonstrated the technique explaining that the blows from the gentle fist style could also affect the pressure points of the body and not just the chakra network. Attacking pressure points did physical damage as opposed to damage to the chakra network. This produced a paralysis not induced by fatigue but produced by incredible pain. He showed a couple of the points on the practice dummy but said that she would need to study charts and books back at the house to get a full understanding of the concept. It would take even longer to be able to use the technique properly. Following Yaju back to the house he seemed to be lost in thought trying to remember something in particular. Arriving at the house he immediately went to where he kept his books and rummaged around a bit. Finally he produced a book and handed….well tailed it to Angel. Angel looked at the book. The title said “Human Body: The Ultimate Machine” Angel opened the book and flipped through a few pages looking at diagrams and very specific drawings of the human body. It was much more detailed than she had even read into when designing her puppets to simulate human motion. This book of course detailed very specific locations of the human weakness. Nodes of clusters of nerve endings capable of rendering a person unconscious in a chemical flood of pain indicators. Angel Fascinated with books and learning immediately sat down and began absorbing information from the book.
“The Human body contains 32 pressure points. Each of these pressure points are clusters of nerves that produce pain of incredible intensity due to the closeness of the nerves to each other. The nerves then trigger a chemical imbalance in the brain which tells the brain that it is under attack. Because of the amount of nerves more chemical is released and the brain recoils at the overload and tries to balance the chemicals. To do this properly the brain has to cut off the signals that the nerve cluster is sending, as to prevent an overload in the brain. So the nerves are now cut off from signals to and from the brain causing numbness, slowed reaction, and eventually immobility due to paralysis. However if these pressure points continue to be assaulted the brain shuts down more and more of the body trying to stop itself from drowning in pain.”
The first pressure points discussed in the book were those relating and located in the arm. “In the arm there is located 3 pressure points that effect the mobility of the arm. One is located in the elbow known commonly as the funny bone. Striking it causes intense pain and contractions of the muscles. The next is on the shoulder and another is inside the armpit. The shoulder is located at the socket where the shoulder connects to the arm. Striking here causes less pain but numbs the arm as it is a pivotal point in the arms movement. The armpit holds another nerve cluster and this one causes intense pain when struck.
The leg contains 3 points as well. One point is located in the ankle where the connects to the leg. There is a small divot in which all the nerves and ligaments for the foot pass through. Striking here can cause damage and potentially cause the foot to be unable to hold weight, as the pain would be unbearable. A nerve cluster also exists in the knee, commonly known to cause a reflex reaction when struck in the doctor’s office. However on the field if the nerve is struck with sufficient force the reflex action could be joined with the breaking of the knee cap as well as loss of the ability to stand. The final pressure point in the leg is the Posterior Cutaneous. These nerves ar found on the back of the upper section of the leg. Similar to the nerves in the knee these nerves also cause a reflex reaction as well as very sharp pain.
“The majority of pressure points are in fact in the head and neck. The first is the Trigeminal nerve and frotal bone. This is located on the forehead in between the eye brows and also extends to the temples. When struck it causes the brain to shift and can result in concussion, unconsciousness, impaired vision, paralysis, and if hit hard enough death.” Angel looked over the facts and position of the nerve. “Next is the Eyes. The eyes can create immense pain from very little damage. It also takes very little to crush the eye or even cause it to pop out.” The next part talked about two different pressure points in the same area. “The ears also require very little pressure to rupture the eardrum causing deafness and the ears to bleed. Just below the earlobes is another nerve cluster at the point the skull connects to the neck, striking here causes pain and may also result in damage to the spinal cord talked about later in this book.” Angel read through to the next part. “The Anterior Nasal Spine extends between your nose and upper lip. A blow to the ANS causes dizziness and excessive bleeding.” Angel skimmed this section as it was fairly straight forward. “The Temporomandibular joint holds the jaw in place and a blow causes pain and possible dislocation. In which case speaking would become painful and impossible.” The book had many pictures and diagrams which Angel studied. The next part was about the chin. “The tip of the mandible or chin contains a nerve cluster that when struck caused shock and unconsciousness.” The book showed pictures of boxers delivering blows to the chin knocking out their opponent. The next part showed pictures of the neck highlighting the muscle that runs down the neck called the Sternocleidomastoid region. “The Sternocleidomastoid region extends from the ear down to the collar bone this region is extremely sensitive and blows or pressure applied to it can cause pain and major damage as this region protects and contains the jugular vein and Carotid artery. Both extremely important for blood flow to the brain and heart. Compressing these vein and artery can cause unconsciousness in seconds and death in mere minutes.” Right next to it the book describes the anterior neck region. “This is obviously the throat and wind pipe. These are also very sensitive and blows to them can cause inability to breath and unconsciousness.” Angel was surprised how many weaknesses the human body had in just their head.
The second half of the book described the pressure points and weak areas on the torso of the body. The various pressure points were nerve clusters or important organs or even brittle bones that could cause trouble as well as pain. “The first two pressure points are the Suprasternal notch and the Clavicle itself. The suprasternal notch is the top of the bone directly in the midde of the chest. Striking the top of the notch can even dislodge the clavicle also known as collarbones. The clavicle itself is also very delicate and fragmenting the bone by striking it can cause tears and punctures in many important organs such as the heart, lungs, and trachea.” The next section was a list of various organs that could cause trouble should they but damaged. “The torso contains many important organs that aren’t meant to take a beating. These organs are essential to the function of our bodies from moment to moment. The first is the heart. The hear controls blood flow to the body and if the heart is attacked with enough force it can skip a couple beats or stop beating all together. Without the pumping of blood the body and brain does not get oxygen and ceases. The Kidneys are the waste management organs of the body. Damaging the kidneys can cause internal bleeding as well as spilling of toxins into the body. The liver is similar as it is steeped in blood as it works very hard on many thing dealing with the proper management of blood and metabolism. Damaging the liver can cause rapid death due to blood loss in internal bleeding. The spleen is also an organ that when damaged causes rapid blood loss.” The next section of the book covered the Diaphragm, a muscle underneath the lungs that are responsible for breathing. “Damage to the diaphragm causes difficulty or inability to breath and with obvious pain to the body it also can cause unconsciousness or even death. The final section was a very large section. It detailed the main trunk of the nervous system and the way it travels through the body. The Vertebral Column houses the spinal cord which travels ip the back and through the neck. Damaging or severing the spinal column causes paralysis to much if not all of the body. If the cord is damaged too much it can even prevent the other organs from working which would result in death.” The basic jist that Angel got out of this book was that the organs if not protected properly or if someone is not careful, could very well end up killing someone. The book ended with the mention that Males had an extra pressure point. Male genitalia, specifically the testes caused immense pain at the slightest strike that leads to immobility and even unconsciousness.”
Angel had read the book cover to cover. She had studied the diagrams and she now knew the human body even more than she had previously. But just knowing these things was only the first step. The second step even before implementation was that she had to learn to channel chakra through her fingers and hands to strike the pressure points like the Hyuuga did. She worked hard for hours feeling the strain of a full day’s work. She didn’t think she had ever done so much work in one day but she also knew that she had never made so much progress in a single day. Yaju had been the best teacher she had ever had. She practiced first on the dummy learning to strike then blast her chakra into the dummy in the style of the gentle fist. Again this took quite a while. She hadn’t been trained to do this before, Angel only had training in the forms and combat style. Striking with needles of chakra was a different story. Soon enough she had it down, but she was exhausted. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to control her strikes with this amount of chakra left. Actually now that she thought about it she probably wouldn’t even be able to use any more chakra until she fully rested. “Yaju, I think I understand the concepts very well but I’m afraid that I might use too much chakra if I keep practicing. How about we take tomorrow off and we’ll rest and pick this up again after tomorrow?” Angel knew Yaju was aware of her chakra levels. She was surprised she had even been able to go out and spar but she was nearing the end of her reserves. And they had performed the jutsus today with incredible speed and persistence. Angel could feel the headache coming on. She waited for Yaju’s answer.
While Angel was busy reading the book, Yaju walked upstairs to grab a couple of other things she would need to study in the event that she would actively pursue this route to make herself stronger in the arts of Taijutsu. In his own little study he had various books on the art of taijutsu which were mostly written from the aspects of other practitioners but there was one book that he had written himself about the practical uses of taijutsu through using Raiton as an additional force. It was a fighting style he once used as a Genin and up until his chuunin days before he had left the world of taijutsu and went on to train under new styles which eventually lead up to him mastering the art of Fuuinjutsu. Sitting that particular book back into the shelf he slowly walked out of the office, heading down to the living room where he left Angel last and sat the books onto the table while sitting down in the adjacent chair and watching her.
His eyes slowly watched her read over the book with such intent that it made him inwardly smile at the way she wanted to get stronger made him proud to be her sensei. As the minutes passed and she continued to read he slowly rested his head onto his right fist as he merely watched and observed the young girl read the book. After she had finished he would yawn slightly and begin to speak," So what did you think of the book Angel?," although he would slowly stop his sentence once she had fully left the living room and went outside.
Patiently he would wait for her to come back into the house where he would listen to her every word before finally speaking," Good to see that the book actually did you some good, but if you want to go further there are some others here that will help you get the feel for the taijutsu arts," he'd stop for the moment however to think over what she had just asked him and nodded for a second before continuing," Sure i don't have much to do tomorrow or the day after so we can train that day and allow your body to relax and recuperate. Now if you do not want to stay at home and stay here for that time you can, you can simply either go home and get some clothes or use some of my older clothing until the training is over tomorrow and we can wash the clothes you wore today," giving her the option to stay or go he would remain in his seat as he awaited the answer from his student.
