1. Catch the prankster:
Ryuu had just woken up to a huge crowd, full of people yelling and swearing up a storm. "What in the world is going on?" Ryuu said as he was rudely awakened. Ryuu then hoped out of bed and got his clothes on. Ryuu got outside of his room and the shouts only got louder and louder, Ryuu stopped one of the members that were inside of the mob and asked the man what was going on. "That damn kid again, he keeps putting graffiti all over the walls in the town and no one seems to know how to catch him!" The man that Ryuu stopped said. Ryuu then immediately perked up, eyes began to widen and he knew that he had a great idea. "If I catch this kid, do something the other guys couldn't do, that will put me way above the rest!" Ryuu thought to himself as he thought of an idea of how to catch him.
Ryuu immediately thought of his Byakugan to first find out where he is, so he activates it and finds him. Alright he is heading toward the north village gate. He is trying to get out to the desert!" Ryuu began thinking frantically. Ryuu grabbed his pouch and began running off toward the same destination as the boy was going. He hadn't really noticed what all of his training was helping him do until he realized how much faster he was. He had realized that he was catching up to the child quicker than a hawk to a field mouse. "Alright, I can see him. Just a little more." Ryuu was thinking as he could see the little kid running away toward the gates." Ryuu finally caught up to him and tackled him to the floor.
"Get off of me!" The kid started screaming as Ryuu held him down. Ryuu then got up to see if he would at least talk to him, he got up and attempted to talk to the boy by saying, “Hey, why are you vandalizing the village?” the kid then got up, gave Ryuu a look of guilt, and then sprinted off toward the gates again. “Ugh, I caught you once from the other side of the village, you honestly think I can’t catch up to you from 10 meters away?” Ryuu yelled as he saw the boy run away. Ryuu then sprinted off after him, when he was only 2 meters from his position, readying himself to tackle the boy again, the boy suddenly made a copy of himself. Both of which turned around and tried attacking Ryuu. Both of the boys had landed a successful blow to Ryuu’s face, sending Ryuu backwards, laughing as he noticed that a little boy actually landed a pretty impressive punch on his own body. “Alright bud, you asked for this.” Ryuu said as he did a backflip, with the assistance of his newfound backward momentum, thanks to the kid’s attack. Ryuu then activated his Byakugan and was instantly able to see the poor distribution of chakra to his clone, so he threw one of his kunai at the clone, which then produced a cloud of smoke, which Ryuu knew that he had hit the clone. The boy then looked frightened, and yelled “Okay okay! What is it that you want!?” The kid yelled as Ryuu had picked him up by his collar.
“I want to know why you are doing these things and I want you to come back to the village now!” Ryuu yelled at him in his face, still lifting him up by his collar with both hands. “Because I want someone to actually notice me.” The boy said, with a tear falling and landing on Ryuu’s left arm. Ryuu then put the boy down, “What do you mean kid?” Ryuu asked still stern but caring at the same time. The boy then turned away, Ryuu then readied himself to chase after him again, but the boy didn’t run. “Everyone at the academy just isolates me and never lets me in on anything.” The boy said through tears. Ryuu then immediately felt sorry for the kid. Ryuu then put his hand on his chin and lifted his head to look at his own. “Hey how about we go get some ramen huh?” The boy then dropped his head, nodded his head yes and they began walking back into the village.
When they got to the ramen shop they began talking for a couple of hours about how similar their pasts were, “So you were an outcast too?” the boy asked ryuu. “Yeah kind of, I was always the “good student” the one that was always in class first and always the last to leave. I always had the highest grade in my class and everyone else always made fun of me for it. I never really had that many friends; actually I didn’t have any friends when I was going through the academy. I know exactly how you feel. But doing the things that you have done isn’t the way that you want to get noticed. Instead why don’t you put your energy into your studies and try and be the greatest ninja you can be instead of being the biggest prankster you can be? That is what I am going to do and that is how I want people to notice me. You understand little buddy?” The boy then looked at Ryuu with grateful eyes and excitedly nodded his head yes. “By the way” Ryuu began “What’s your name?” Ryuu asked. The little boy then looked at him and said, “Ryuu Zakimi. What’s yours?” Ryuu then smiled and told him “Ryuu Hyuuga” The boy then began looking wide eyed at him,as if glorifying him, he then continued to eat his ramen and when they both finished and got up and continued talking for another thirty minutes, Ryuu then asked him if he was going to do what he told him to do. The boy said yes and then Ryuu escorted him home.

2. Thief in the village:
Ryuu was walking down the street when he over heard a few men talking about a robbery. Ryuu then walked over to the men and asked them what they were talking about. “You haven’t heard about it yet?” Both of the men looked at Ryuu like he had been living under a rock. “Heard about what?” Ryuu asked, honestly admitting his ignorance. “From what I heard there was a huge theft last night over at the scroll shop. The managers still over there, go see if he will tell you anything.” Ryuu then began sprinting to the scroll shop, when he saw the owner, the owner looked around and Ryuu could see that how torn up he was. “What all was taken? Who do you think could have done this?” Ryuu was compulsively asking the owner questions. The owner then gave Ryuu a question. “I know this is the man that did this, he has been scoping the place for the past week and just been acting so weird every time he comes into my store. Will you find this guy and bring my things back Ryuu? It would mean the world to me.” Ryuu then grabbed the picture and began walking away, looking at the picture. Ryuu then activated his Byakugan and began frantically looking around for a man that would fit the picture. But he could not find him. “Where in the world are these people?” Ryuu was thinking to himself. Ryuu then began traveling around the village looking for a better vantage point. Finally he found one, a rooftop that overlooked most of the village. “Got you!” Ryuu said as he found the face that matched the one on the picture. Ryuu then began his pursuit of the man.
Ryuu slowly and gradually creeped up on his target, making sure he didn’t rise up too much attention. He began following the guy until they reached a house that was in the north side of the village. He then began using his Byakugan to see inside the house. He was able to see one of the scrolls that was actually missing. “Well I got him, now I must go report this to the Hokage.” Once Ryuu reported what he found out to the Hokage, he sent the correct shinobe to go into the man’s house and dealt with him according to his actions.

3. Missing Pets
Ryuu had always known about the cat lady. Always talking about them, loving on them, smothering every visitor she ever had with them. For some reason she was so infatuated with these felines, I honestly never understood why. Ryuu knew all about the cat lady, seeming how she lived right above him in her own apartment. One morning, Ryuu was sleeping in his bed when he began hearing loud cries. "Where are my cats!? Where did they go, PLEASE GOD help me find my cats!!!" The cat lady began screaming at the top of her lungs. Ryuu was forcefully awakened by the sound of this lady's cries. Ryuu thought to himself, "What in the hell is going on?" Ryuu then jumped onto the railing that was in front of his apartment and jumped up to the railing that above his but in front of the cat lady's apartment. Ryuu then knocked on her door, when the cat lady answered he asked her what was going on. "My cat's! My cats are all gone! They just vanished in the middle of the night and I don't know what happened to them!" The woman then started becoming hysterical. "How about I go search the village for your cats, do you have any pictures of them?" Ryuu asked, giggling because he already knew that she would have some. The lady agreed and gave him a picture of each of her five cats. Ryuu took them and then jumped up to the top of the building and began scanning the entire Village. It was then that he found three of the cats over in one of the alleys about 300 meters from his position, he then went off in that direction.
When ryuu reached the area that he saw the cat, the cats were gone. He continued to scan the village for the missing specimens. He then found the two other cats that he had yet to see, they were over at one of the ramen shops in town, they were actually right next to Ryuu's favorite one. So Ryuu then began running over to the ramen shop, keeping constant surveillance to make sure he didn't lose these ones like he lost the last ones. He got to the shop and grabbed the cats, he picked them up and began heading back to the cat lady's house. Just as Ryuu was in mid-air, one of the cats clawed his face, his claws sunk into Ryuu's cheek. Ryuu then flailed in pain and dropped the cat that had clawed him. Ryuu then had drop down to ground in attempts to save the poor cat from falling to its death, although he did not want to. He caught the cat just before it hit the ground and took them back to the cat lady's house. He then went back on the surveillance to try and find the other three cats that were missing, Ryuu then found them nearing the southern gate to the deserts surrounding the village. Ryuu immediately sprinted off in their direction.
Ryuu was nearing the cats position, just before they were able to exit the village. Ryuu created a clone and grabbed him by the feet, he then began twirling around and then launched the clone into the air to try and catch the cats before they left the village. The clone was flying through the air and landed right behind the cats, just in arms reach to grab them, which the clone did and held them down long enough for Ryuu to run up and grab two of them from the clones arms, then the clone and Ryuu began running back to the cat lady's house, returned her cats and walked off.

4. Helping the academy
Ryuu was a brand new Genin in the system, but shortly after his graduation, his sensei walked up to him and asked if he would come and show some of the new students some of the things that he has learned in the time that he has been in the Academy. Ryuu quickly said yes and instantly became excited as his sensei escorted Ryuu to the class that he was going to be presenting to.
The entire class looked like they were on the fast track of dying from boredom so Ryuu knew that he was going to have to liven up the crowd just a tad. Ryuu walked in and began talking to the class, "Hey guys! My name is Ryuu Hyuuga. I actually just graduated from the academy a few weeks ago. How many of you have seen the "Clone jutsu"? The whole class put their hands up and looked as if they were in despair, he head a few kids whining "Is this going to be another boring lecture?" The kids kept asking each other. Ryuu then smirked and then changed his direction to his approach of the class. "Well I don't think you want to learn about that boring old technique right?" The class then picked up their heads in a slight form of excitement. Ryuu then smiled, knowing that he got their attention. "Well how many of you kids have seen the jutsu called the "Subterranean Voyage"? None of the kids put their hands up and just gave Ryuu a blank stare. Ryuu then knew what he needed to do so he asked the kids if they would follow him outside so he could show him the jutsu that he had learned a little while ago.
Ryuu told the kids to step back away from him so he could have some room to perform the technique, he then got into his stance, performed the hand seals that was required for the technique, and quickly sunk into the ground beneath him. The whole class started yelling and cheering, all in extreme excitement, Ryuu swam through the ground under the class and emerged his head out right behind them all. "What are you guys looking at?" He said before he quickly sunk back into the ground, the whole class quickly turned around trying to find him, but Ryuu then completely emerged from his original position, walked up to the group, and tapped one of the boys on their shoulder, "Hey, looking for me?" The boy quickly turned around and yelped in fright. Ryuu then laughed and the entire class were awestruck and cheering because of what they just saw. Ryuu then told them, "That is just a few things you can pick up if you really try hard in your classes, even if the sensei's lectures are completely boring, you have to power through them and get those grades as high as you possibly can. Got it?" The kids all agreed and Ryuu then escorted them back to their class room.

5. Patrol
Ryuu woke up one day, bored out of his mind, wondering what could he do today. "I guess I could go up to the walls and maybe patrol for just a little while. Yeah that sounds like something to do, maybe I'll find a couple bandits and take care of some business", Ryuu said to himself as he giggled to himself. "Maybe he would run into a group of bandits, maybe he would be allowed to go down and actually fight them. That would be something wouldn't it?" Ryuu then got up from his bed, got his clothes on and headed out to the walls, when he got there, there was a higher ranking shinobe. The shinobe looked at Ryuu and asked him what he was doing there. Ryuu then replied that he just wanted to help with the patrolling of the walls, the guard then chuckled and said okay, gave him an area to patrol and walked away.
Ryuu felt good about himself, he was actually being a useful member of the village. He was helping the Sand village by patrolling an entire piece of the wall by himself, just then he felt like being a little ambitious, he activated his Byakugan and began scanning the nearby desert, looking for any type of possible threat to the village, and wouldn't you know it. There was a small pack of bandits that were camped just outside of the village gates, maybe 400 meters away from his position on the wall. Ryuu then quickly ran to the same guard that he had talked to when he first got there and told him about what he had saw, the guard then called a few of his men over and they all went to take out the bandit group. Ryuu asked if he could go with them but the guard said it was too dangerous for a young man like him. Then the shinobe quickly went and dealt with the bandit crew accordingly to their crime.
Mission Accomplished.

6. Patrol
Well it looks like they have realized that Ryuu can actually be quite a help in regards to guarding the walls, one of the guards that were on duty saw Ryuu walking down to the training grounds from the ramen shop and jumped down to have a quick talk to him. "Hey little man, when you were here last and caught those bandits, that was good work, do you think you can do that again for us. We can handle it on our own, but having an extra set of the Byakugan eyes sure couldn't hurt. Ryuu then smiled and agreed, they both went up the wall to their look out spot and Ryuu activated his Byakugan and began his scanning. For a couple of hours he didn't find anything, "I guess that last time really scared them off huh?" Ryuu said confidently, but just as Ryuu was finishing that sentence, he saw something, it wasn't a someone, but some thing. He couldn't exactly tell what it was, but all he could were four huge feet, a mouth full of teeth, and two wide eyes. He had found some sort of beast just outside the village walls.
Ryuu quickly reported what he had just seen and told the shinobe he was with. Who then gathered up a few guys and went down to see what it was, the guard then yelled up from the bottom of the wall and asked Ryuu what he was waiting for, he invited ryuu to come down and Ryuu couldn't have been more excited, Ryuu jumped down and they went running after the huge beast.
When they arrived at its location, it was even bigger than Ryuu had thought. The thing stood at about 5 feet high and had a tail that looked to be as long as four feet. The guards told Ryuu never mind, this would be something that ryuu would probably just get in the way of, and told him to go back to the village, but thanked him for his help. The guards then took the beast down and moved it farther away from the village walls, making sure that it would have no longer been a threat to their village or the villagers inside the walls.

7. Temporary Replacement
Ryuu was sleeping, the deep kind of sleep, the sleep that you think absolutely nothing is going to make you wake up, until you hear that loud pounding on the door in your bed room and that sounds of people yelling outside your door. Ryuu was rudely awakened by that very sound, he was sleeping soundly and all of a sudden there was a huge pounding on the door, sending Ryuu into a freak out, thinking someone was in his room trying to get him. He started flailing around and freaking out until he realized that he was alone and that the loud noises was just someone at the door he began to yell sleepily, "Hold on, hold on, I'm coming!" Ryuu then got to the door and opened it to find a very large man with a chuunin jacket on holding a folder. "Are you Ryuu Hyuuga?" The man asked Ryuu. Ryuu nodded and told them yes he was. The man then handed him the folder and told him to be at the western gate in two hours. He also said to make sure that Ryuu had everything he would need in a fight ready. The man then turned around and left his apartment. Ryuu then thought to himself, "Well that was weird huh? Wonder what's in this folder." Ryuu then opened the folder to see that it was a picture of a watch tower looking thing and there were directions basically saying that he was to guard it tonight.
Ryuu then thought, "I have never been all that far out of the village before. This thing is about eighteen miles away! I cannot wait to get out there!" Ryuu then ran into his room and began getting his things ready when his mother walked into the room. "Where are you going" She asked. Ryuu replied "I just got my first serious mission! No more chasing cats or small, odd jobs for me. They said that they need me to go to the watch tower by the western gate and be a look out. Can you believe it?!?" Ryuu explained. Ryuu's mother than asked him, "And where exactly is this watch tower you are going to be looking out in?" Ryuu then told her, "About eighteen miles passed the Western Gate!" Ryuu then grabbed his things, kissed his mom on the cheek and headed out the door. Ryuu ended up getting to the gate before the people he was supposed to meet even got there. Then they all headed out to the watch tower.
When Ryuu and his group got to the watch tower, he realized that the guys that he went out there with were all fresh Genin just like him, with one Chuunin as their leader. Ryuu then felt more excited because he figured why not make some friends while I'm at it! So Ryuu was the first one to start speaking, "Hey guys, I'm Ryuu." Ryuu said calmly. The other two Genin didn't say a word, just scowled at him, but the Chuunin said, "Hey Ryuu, I'm Isamu, but you can call me Izzy. Has anyone told you exactly what we are doing here?" Izzy asked Ryuu. "No, I was just told to meet you guys at the gate and the rest would be explained when we got here." Ryuu explained. Izzy then began briefing the guys on the mission at hand. "Okay, look. Today we are just getting your guys' feet wet when it comes to being out in the field, now we don't expect anything to come through this way, but if something does then we need to be able to either protect the village, or be able to sneak away and get back to village before the intruders do. Understand?" Izzy then looked at the Genins, including Ryuu as they shook their heads.
Ryuu and the others were out there for almost nine and a half hours before someone finally showed up. Izzy did not allow any of the Genin's to sleep so they were all very groggy, when they saw the guy coming they all started to get a little worried, but Izzy then said, "Don't worry, that's who is going to replace us. We can now go home." The Genins practically fell out of the watchtower, except for Ryuu, for he was the one that jumped out of it and when he landed on the floor did a somersault. When he landed he started yelling "WOO HOO!!! That was my first mission, that was so fun! When can I do that again!?!" Izzy looked at him and began thinking, "This might just be a pretty helpful shinobe in the long run after all.

8. Thief in the village:
Ryuu had just cleared the streets of a theif the other week and was sure that he had at least given people to think again before they stole things again, but wouldn’t you know it, there was another theif in the village. Ryuu then walked over to the men and asked them what they were talking about. “Guess what Ryuu?” Ryuu responded, “Don’t tell me, there is another theif in town isn’t there?” Ryuu looked annoyed. “Yep, just stole like six or seven books from the book store?” Ryuu asked, Feeling the Déjà vu. “Is the owner around, or did he leave town?” Ryuu asked the men. “I believe that he is still at the store to see if he found out everything that was actually stolen, go see if he is still there.” Ryuu then nodded and left to go find the manager of the book store. “Hey, how many books were taken? The owner then turned around and said “They only got away with one book, but it was my most unique book in the store. I only had one copy…” The owner said, fighting back tears. “Don’t worry ma’am, I will get that book back for you.” Ryuu then turned around and before he left he asked, “Hey, what was the title of that book?” The owner then responded, “It’s called The old world it’s a story about the world before the “Incident”. Ryuu then looked extremely interested, then he ran off in search for the man who stole the book.
Ryuu activated his byakugan and began scanning the area, looking for the book that was stolen. Ryuu was looking for hours until he finally found a book that matched the title of the one that was stolen, he was able to see the person’s face that was in possession of the book, he memorized the man’s face and, by memory, drew out a rough sketch of the man’s look. He then returned to the owner and handed him the sketch and asked, “Does this man look at all familiar to you?” the owner then said “Oh yeah, I just sold him a few books the other day. Was extremely respectful, why did you show me this?” Ryuu explained “That’s the man that I found in possession of the book.” The owner then became angry and said “Take the picture to the Hokage and let them take care of his scum-ass”. Ryuu did just that and knew that the higher ranking shinobe would be able to take care of business.
