Kasai training
Sun Aug 31, 2014 10:40 pm
Fire, fire, burning bright,
In the darkness of the night,
What immortal hand or eye,
Could tame thy fearful ferocity?
Kasai gazed into the darkness of the training ground. It was the dead of night, but what better time than to practice fire ninjutsu?
He was practicing an old Uchiha technique, passed down through the younger clan members. Though, the Uchiha’s were not the only to possess the power of fire. Kasai planned on proving that.
He knew the proper hand symbol; a half tiger seal, and he almost had the technique, but to master it, more practice would be needed.
He pulled himself upright from his usual relaxed position, making himself straight as a tree in posture. He brought his hands before him, and created the half-tiger seal. Then, he felt the chakra begin to rise. It started in his chest; a burning flare, growing as a fire would, boiling up. He could feel the fire grow, and then his mouth erupted the flame, producing a stream of brilliant light. However, it was not enough.
He breathed heavily, feeling the heat still inside him as it cooled off.
To produce a flame, pure and brilliant in its light, what must it take?
He gazed out, watching the wind move in the trees. Their shadows moved and danced, swaying back and forth.
He breathed in, whistling while he did so, producing a bird noise.
Closing his eyes, he began to focus his energy again.
The fire, it comes from the core. It is the burning of the heart, of emotion, of feeling. It comes from the self. The stronger the inner fire, the stronger the flame that is produced. Feel the flame within.
He relaxed again, closing his eyes, he repeated the same ritual he had done so many times before. He felt his heartbeat slow as his breathing did. He felt himself slowly begin to relax, reaching a deeper inner state. His surroundings slowed down. He wondered if it was possible for masters to stop time, or if moving fast enough would have the same effect.
His eyes snapped open, and his hands swung in front of him. He bent and curled his fingers to make a perfect half-tiger seal. Then, he felt the heat begin to rise.
The fire sparked in his chest, and he kindled the flame. He felt it slowly grow within him.
Fire in the night, ignite, ignite.
He focused his energy more, feeling his chest swell with the power of it.
Raging inferno, expand, go forth.
He opened his mouth, and felt the fire shoot out in a stream from the mouth hole in his mouth, forming a perfect circle, spiraling outward.
He watched the stream fly, watched the grass catch ablaze, and then felt the soft drizzle of rain fall upon his shoulders.
He watched the rain strike the flames, and put them at rest. He smiled, looking at his work, and knowing that he had succeeded in his mission.
The fire within me grows each day.
