surprise meeting [p/nk/io]

Hotaru had besn given a mission. Go to Yuki and scope out the territory! She had just started and she was already tired. Even her Kikachu were buzzing with an annoyed feeling! Not unusual for an Aburame clan member! 
Deciding to take a rest she sat down on a nearby rock and lowered the hood of hef cloak.  Leaving on her sunglasses , the dark haired 18 hear old stared up at the beautiful storm clouds on the horizon. Hopefully she will make it to her destination before the storm hit!

Kazuo had left Kaigo back at the black market. He needed to get away for awhile, he’d been cooped up there far too long. With him as always were the many blades that adorned his body, and as he walked, his right hand rested on one of the hilts at his hip. He’d taken a bit of a treck while hunting, ending up at the edge of the land of tea. At that point, he decided to take a boat that he may or may not have stolen to check out Volcano. Shortly after arriving, he noticed the storm clouds forming above. Maybe this trip hadn’t been the best idea… He’d have to either wait it out, or beat the storm out of here.
 
He noticed the girl sitting on the rock, staring up at the storm clouds. He noticed a strange buzzing sound as he approached the girl, though he couldn’t quite tell what was making it.

”You a local? Do you know when the storm’s gonna hit?” He asked her, holding up his other hand in greeting. He’d play nice for now.

Hotaru looked up slightly startled. She pushed her sunglasses up as she looked at the man. Why did she have to stop in this territory,  strange people are known to be in these parts.
"No, not a local, but hopefully the storm hits after I get back from Yuki!" She said looking at the stranger.

Kazuo raised an eyebrow as the girl spoke, hiding her eyes with those sunglasses as she did so. If Kazuo could read minds, he’d find it quite funny that she was worried about meeting strange people, for the same thing was going through his head.
 
”Yukigakure? That’s a long ways from here, miss.” He said politely, drumming his fingers on the grip of his blade idly. ”What would make you want to go to that pit?” He said, emphasizing the final word of the sentence. Having lived in the land of iron all his life, Kazuo had had his fill of snow, and found it to be something he didn’t like. He couldn’t imagine why you would want to travel there. Then again, the Volcano village did have a reputation for its residents not all being very right in the head.
 

He then realized the girl had no traveling companions. He couldn’t sense any chakras nearby, even when he concentrated. Strange. ”Are you traveling alone? You’re likely to get kidnapped out here by yourself, miss.” He said, taking his hand off the grip of his blade to show he was not planning to attack immediately after saying that. Although he was technically a missing-nin, and had given in to living up to that title, he still held himself to a higher code of honor, burned into him during his life as a samurai. Kidnapping innocent girls was a part of the “No-No” list.

Hotaru felt a little uncomfortable as she began to wonder about this person. This strange guy asked her about Yuki, and she can't say she was scoping out territory for someone else. 
" I was just wondering what it was, uh, what it was like. I am traveling alone, but, I can defend myself well." Hotaru lied!  She can't fight, and only had a couple of kunai on her thats Sephora gave to her. She does need a travel companion, it is dangerous to be alone!

Kazuo stifled a laugh at the girl’s response. She sounded like she was trying to intimidate him! Not only that, her story sounded, well, kinda half-assed, like she just thought of it on the spot.  
”So let me get this straight…” He began, rubbing his eyes with one hand as if he was in disbelief. ”You’re taking a journey across multiple countries, by yourself, because… ‘You wanna see what it’s like?’” He asked, almost teasingly.
 

Normally, he wouldn’t care about someone else’s business like this, but since she made such an effort to keep him out of it, he figured it must be something worth knowing about. ”Look, lady, I’m no police officer. I don’t care what you’re doing. But if you’re gonna tell a lie, at least make it believable. Because now, you’ve piqued my interest.” He said, resting his hand lightly on the hilt of his katana, at his hip. ”So spill it.” He commanded in an almost casual tone, unsheathing his blade ever so slightly, so an audible *click* could be heard.

Hotaru gasped as she heard a click! Jumping to her feet she stared at him wide eyed!  A few bugs began crawling along her fingers, buzzing as they did, as though it were a defense mechanism! 
"I was asked to scope out Yuki then report back to a friend of mine. Honestly, she has not told me why." Hota said sternly. If she werent so frightened,  she might notice this guy was kind of cute. At the moment shes on the defensive.

This guy was good! And well he made a valid point. Hearing thw thunder rumble made her realize she did need this mans protection. She extended her hand to shake his.
"Hotaru. ..Hotaru Aburame. And I accept your offer." She said staring at him. Besides having a cute guy with her, means she can lie to the others and say she got some! Something she was sure Sephora was going to say when they met up again.

Kazuo was surprised this went so smoothly. As they shook hands, Kazuo would point with his thumb back towards the beach where he had landed the boat he, err… Borrowed.
”Wll, Hotaru, unless you’ve got a better way off this rock, I’ve got a boat back this way. Shall we?” He would ask the girl, in mock politeness. If she agreed to follow him, he would lead her to the boat, then off of the island.
