Den was surprised how willing Eva was to go travel with him. She had no family, but she was willing to turn her back on her duty to her village to travel with him? Woudl Taiga be mad that she was leaving?Well, Den was an ally of Kuushou, who was Taiga's boss, so Den was confident that if there were any problems he could use his alliance with Kuushou to help convince Taiga to let Eva go with him. Besides, it was obvious not much effort had been put into trying to teach Eva how to be a shinobi. The girl was able to learn a C-rank Jutsu in a single try yet she didn't know any until Den taught her. Even though he would be taking her from her village, he felt that Eva would have a better chance of reaching he potential if she worked by his side.

Eva hugged Den, which he didn't mind at all. Now he openly returned the gesture, hugging her close.

Now that he knew Eva wanted to go, he was a bit more cheerful, and no longer seemed nervous or shy, "Alright well, if you're gonna travel with me I suppose we'll have to make sure you're strong enough to be useful in a fight." He would smirk as he spoke, he knew Eva didn't think much of her ability as a shinobi and was making fun of that.

"How would you like to try and see how long it takes you to learn a new element?" Den was curious, to see how long it would take the girl to grasp a new element, compare dot learning a new jutsu. He didn't expect her to learn the element before they left, but if she could get some of the basics down and understood she could continue to work on the new element as they traveled. Den didn't want Eva to be completely reliant on him for survival outside of this village, she needed to learn how to fend for herself and Den thought the best way to help her would be to help her learn new abilities.

If Eva said she'd like to try and learn the new element, he would begin to focus. Den had teleported Eva and himself multiple times at this point, he suspected she knew that he intended to teleport them to one of the training grounds they practiced at. If Eva didn't let go of the hug, and had expressed interest in learning the element, they would be transported it one of the training grounds.

While this was happening, the battle of the D-rank summons was beginning to go into full force. The Red Panda jumped form the window, attempting to land on the snake and pin it down. Natsumi's first instinct was to move, she was faster than him after all. So Natsumi would begin to head towards the right, moving as fast as she could. She also made sure that no part of her body would be where the red panda was going to land, she didn't want him pinning half of her body or something. After moving she would do a 180 so that her front would be facing the red panda and her body would be behind her.

Eva hoped her leaving with Den wouldn’t upset anyone. It wasn’t like she was particularly useful anyways, so she probably wouldn’t be missed. Den hugged Eva back and joked on her for thinking she wasn’t a very capable shinobi. She laughed at Den, he seemed to understand Eva. Eva knew she had a lot to learn before she considered herself a true shinobi.

When Den brought up teaching Eva a new element she got excited. She wasn’t sure what element he was planning on teaching her though. “That sounds like fun to me.” Eva didn’t let go of Den she assumed he would then teleport the two to the training grounds. She hoped that she would get lucky and learn the new element as fast as she learned her first jutsu, but she didn’t think that was likely. Eva hadn’t given much thought when it came to learning a new element. Although she figured she should really be looking into it more. The only element that made Eva nervous was lightning, she knew if she ever had to fight someone with lightning jutsu she would be in deep trouble. Eva assumed Shizuko would be content staying here and playing with Natsumi and Hiroko.

Shizuko landed about a foot away from Natsumi, she had moved over to the right when Shizuko jumped from the windowsill. Natsumi was faster than Shizuko, but he knew he was slightly stronger. The only difficult part would be catching her. Shizuko would then attempt to jump and grab onto Natsumi’s head

Den was glad that Eva wanted to learn a new element. He felt he would be better at teaching her earth jutsu as that was his affinity element, as opposed to water which was an element he only knew a few jutsu to.

Seeing as Eva didn't move, the two would be teleported to a small island, far away from the other islands within Takigakure, but one was still able to see the giant tree in the center of the village. There were a free trees, grass, and some bushes, but no signs of humans having been on it besides a few foot prints that most likely belonged to the pair.

A few moments after arriving Den would let go of the embrace, and his outfit would change from a Jounins to the one he wore when he first saw Eva.

"Alright, I'm going to see if you can use the Earth element." Den wondered how he should go about this, he guessed just showing her something simple would work, "I want you to sit on the ground and focus your chakra through it, sorta try and feel everything that is moving around beneath it." It seemed a simple task, at least for one who knew the element. It wasn't responsive enough to be combat effective, but one could sense the animals within the ground, such as insects and small burrowing creatures.

Denwould wait for Eva to complete the lesson by simply standing in place, watching her with a kind and encouraging smile on his face.

Meanwhile the battle raged on within Eva's apartment. Natsumi had managed ot avoid Shizuko's first attack, but it seemed he wanted to try and chase her! Using the power of timeline/vague manipulation, Natsumi was only just beginning to turn when Shizuki attempted to run towards her and jump on her head. Using the power of vauge once more, Natsumi was awre there was a whole meter between the two of them, and thus she was able to move 'forward' as he jumped, which to Shizuko she would be moving to his right. Moving at her full speed, Natsumi would turn around and, as Shizuko would land on the ground near the end of her tail, try and move over top of the red panda, to begin curling around his body in an attempt to constrict him, though she made the mistake of trying to simply wrap around his torso without going for his limbs!

Eva was excited to start learning a new element. She just hoped she wouldn’t take too long to learn it. Eva was patient when it came to most things, but she gets quickly frustrated when she doesn’t understand things.

Den teleported them to a rather small island, Eva wasn’t sure exactly how far they went. Eva didn’t see any sign of other people being there, but she could be wrong. After Den let go of Eva she looked over to see him in the red shirt and jeans he was previously wearing. At first Eva was confused, but then remembered the fabric Den had created.

Eva was pleased when Den told her he will be teaching her the Earth element. For some reason Eva thought that it would be an easier one to learn, but she wasn’t exactly educated on the matter so she could be wrong. Eva listened to Den’s instructions carefully. It didn’t sound too difficult.

Eva picked the most comfortable looking spot and sat down with her legs crossed. She shut her eyes and tried not to focus on the fact that she could feel Den staring at her. Eva didn’t like to be watched when she’s just trying to learn something for the first time. It made her worried that she would look stupid or something. Although she was starting to not care about Den judging her. She had already done enough stupid things in front of him, he probably expects it of her now.

Eva took a few deep breaths to try to get herself to focus. Eva felt her charka extended into the earth’s surface. It was almost as if Eva had grown a new sense. It wasn’t like she was touching the earth exactly, more like she just knew what was going on. She could feel a mole about 6 meters to her left scraping away the dirt for a plant’s roots looking for something to eat. Eva assumed he was a rather large mole, from what she could tell. She could also sense a grasshopper about 5 feet from where Den stood. It was about 4 centimeters long, but for some reason it was missing a wing. Eva wasn’t sure what caused its injury, but she felt bad for it. Eva wasn’t usually a big fan of bugs but she found grasshoppers cute.

Meanwhile back at Eva’s apartment Natsumi was attempting to curl around Shizuko’s body. As she was beginning to wrap herself around Shizuko’s torso he took his front two paws and pushed her off with all the force he could. If he succeeded Shizuko would then run about 3 feet to Natsumi’s left and turn to face her again.

Apparently Eva was a prodigy, because she seemed to catch on to how to do Den's simple exercise right away. Den couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous, she was a part of a powerful clan and a prodigy. It always seemed that way with shinobi from powerful clans, they excelled while the shinobi without a clan, without a bloodline or an arsenal of their families techniques, were left behind and not considered as important.

In Kiri he had sometimes felt that he was overlooked because he had no bloodline, he hadn't been able to grow trees from the ground, or manipulate his bones.  While they had received special treatment, his friend Minorin receiving the Gobi despite at the time not showing but so much promise as a shinobi, a Kaguya being let out of jail despite murdering a number of villagers, he had been forced to train on his own. Sure he had some assistance form his dad, helping him gain a summoning contract with a powerful breed of snakes, but Den had earned all of his skills on his own.

But it hadn't been enough, not in Kiri at least. Despite being one of the most powerful shinobi in the village, with perhaps 2 rivaling him in power, Den had never gained the attention of any of the higher ups within the village. The Mizukage had talked to him once, to ask him of the events of Daniel Kiyade's attack, which had resulted in the deaths of many shinobi within the villages training grounds, even Jounin. Den had not only survived the attack, but fought back against the Kaguya named Daniel, would have most likely killed him if Suzaku hadn't arrived. Yet Den hadn't been acknowledged for it, even all of those who had survived the attack had survived because of him. He hadn't wanted a reward, just acknowledgement. All he had gotten was an escort to jail, to be questioned about the attack, and to find that the murderer was released days after being put in jail.

Even though he was jealous of Eva, he was willing to acknowledge that this accomplishment was his own, and the rational part of him knew that she wasn't like most shinobi within clans, she lived alone, she was even more alone than he was. He'd give her a smile, his ally, no, his friend wasn't just some clan brat, sure she possessed the bloodline of one, but her talent was her own, she hadn't been groomed since birth for this life, he could tell from how weak she was when they first met.

"Well, if you're gonna progress this quickly I might as well show you a jutsu." he'd say with a chuckle, "It's even easier than Snake Mouth, so you'll probably have it mastered by the time I finish showing you the hand seals.

If Eva stated she wanted to learn the jutsu, Den would perform the two 'hand seals', clapping his hands together than placing both hands on the ground. He didn't do anything fancy, simply made the ground around him in a half a meter square raise up 3 meters.  Den could have simply slapped a single hand on the ground, but even Eva wasn't going to be capable of using jutsu like that. It wasn't something a person could do by simply being a prodigy, to use Hand seals as effectively as Den required in depth knowledge of jutsu.

Natsumi got pushed away from Shizuko, he was so much stronger than her! It wasn't fair! As he ran ff Natsumi took a more relaxed appearance, she was starting to get a little tired, "Hey! we should take a break or something." Natsumi would laugh after speaking, hopefully Shizuko wasn't gonna be super energetic and want to keep playing.

Eva was shocked she had managed to do this exercise so easily. Usually Eva felt like she was useless, but now she had a little bit more faith in herself. Just a little though, she knew she still had a long way to go before she felt confident in her abilities. Eva looked up at Den and saw him smiling at her. Although Eva felt like this wasn’t like his usual smile. Had she done something wrong?

Eva figured she was probably just imagining it. When Den offered to teach her a new jutsu she quickly got to her feet. “Yes please.” She watched as Den preformed two hand seals, but she was not prepared for the ground under Den to rise like it did. Eva wondered where Den learned all these things. Had someone taught him? Or did he just pick up on them by watching others preform justu?

Eva preformed the two hand seals, clapped her hands together and placed them on the ground just as Den did. Eva typically wasn’t a huge fan of heights, so she only raised the 5 feet of ground around her about two meters into the air. She figured she was eventually going to have to get over her fear of heights if she were to use this jutsu. Eva straightened back up and smiled at Den.

Shizuko was glad Natsumi wanted to take a break. He was still tired because he had been rudely interrupted while sleeping by Eva. Although he really had no room to complain. It wasn’t uncommon for Shizuko to wake Eva up in the early hours of the morning. Shizuko sat down and wrapped his tail around the lower part of his body. “Sure, what do you guys wanna do?” He looked at Natsumi as he spoke.

Den honestly hadn't expected her to so easily perform the jutsu, especially seeing as she had just started learning the earth element. But she managed it, much to Den's surprise. "I don't understand how you aren't already a skilled shinobi, you just learned a whole new element with no difficulty." It was actually quite insane, especially seeing as the girl was just a Genin. Truly Eva had some sort of extraordinary talent. Den used Moving Earth Core once more, this time just placing a single hand on the platform as he had mastered the use of hand seals to the point of not needing to use as many. The ground returned to normal beneath him, Den didn't like leaving the ground altered like that when simply demonstrating the technique.

Seeing a sEva seemed to have learned the element, there wasn't much reason for them to stay in train, "Want to return to your apartment so we can get ready to go?"

While Eva and Den were training, a wood clone of Den was on another island, raining one of Den's abilities. He was developing his ability to use Sage Transformation, trying to form protrusions that could release blasts of chakra. The Tales of Naruto Uzumaki mentioned a man named Juugo who possessed the Kekkai Genkai Den possessed, and apparently during a battle with a Raikage in power during that age Juugo created cannons to fire at the man.

Den's wood clone grew a protrusion in the shape of a cannon on his arm and pointed it at a nearby tree. He felt the chakra surge through his arm and into the protrusion, before a painful explosion caused the protrusion to erupt and destroy itself. that's not it He'd have to try again. He lifted his other arm and built another protrusion ,trying to form it differently so that hopefully the chakra would become focused rather than erupting everywhere. He had been practicing various forms of Sage Transformation almost all day, while the real Den went about getting ready to leave.

In Eva's apartment, Natsumi had gotten an idea, "Shizuko, can you work a TV? We could see if there's anything cool!"

Eva laughed at Den when he asked her why she wasn’t more skilled. She actually wasn’t sure why she wasn’t more skilled. ‘I guess I’ve been…preoccupied? Plus I’ve never particularly had a good teacher.” Although ever since Eva had met the red pandas she had done some productive things. She had been talking to the scroll holder Masato. Masato wasn’t one to fight very much, but he sure was cute. Masato also happened to know crystal release jutsu, he had convinced Eva to try to replicate it. When she attempted to do so absolutely nothing happened. Misato realized Eva required the Earth Element before she could learn crystal release. Eva was recalling these events when she saw Den preform the earth jutsu without hand seals. Eva honestly didn’t even know people could do that. Eva was positive her shock was visible on her face, but she didn’t care.

She followed Den’s lead and preformed the jutsu again, but this time she lowered the ground back to its original state. When Den suggested going back to Eva’s apartment she figured that was good idea. Especially considering how much they had accomplished in such short time. She nodded and reached her hand out to Den assuming he would teleport them back.

Shizuko figured that TV was a good idea. He was beginning to get sleepy and his favorite thing to do, other than eating, was watching TV until he passed out with Eva. Shizuko wasn’t exactly sure how Eva worked the TV, but he figured he may as well try. If Natsumi and Hiroko would follow he would lead them into the living room. Shizuko walked straight up to the TV and stood on his hind paws placing his front paws on the screen. He looked down at the various buttons on it, not sure which ones to press. He tried pressing a few but nothing happened. Clearly the button that turned it on was in the back. Shizuko scooted over to the corner of the entertainment center the TV was sat on. He tried just craning his neck to see the back but couldn’t. So instead he decided to try to wiggle his way behind the entertainment center. Unfortunately Shizuko found that he had eaten a few to many bananas and couldn’t fit. Shizuko decided to just move it a few inches forward giving him some room. When he attempted to do so he apparently pushed it too hard, too fast because the TV began to wobble. Before Shizuko realized what was about to happen the TV fell forward and smashed screen first onto the ground.

Den figured a lot of it had to do with the latter, not that Den thought himself some great teacher. Obviously this village was neglecting it's shinobi at least somewhat if someone as talented as Eva knew hardly any ninjutsu. Eva could have taken it upon herself to learn though, which in Den's mind was what caused there to be such a great gap within their skills. Hopefully as they traveled Eva would gradually grow more skilled, and eventually be considered a high level ninja. It was to early to tell if she would reach a level near that of Den's, as he was a former kage, but he felt that maybe she had the potential.

Den actually hadn't expected Eva to catch him deactivating the jutsu without the use of the same hand seals, as oblivious as she sometimes could be. She was somewhat shocked, but after he asked her if she wanted to return home she returned to normal and let out her hand, which prompted Den to smirk. Already they had teleported enough together that a simple gesture could be taken as an answer. He would walk towards her and reach for her hand, and if she didn't let go they'd be transported back to Eva's apartment.

Meanwhile Den's clone seemed to have been successful, as it had managed to destroy a tree with its cannon. The clone smirked, glad that it had been successful in the task Den had given it. It had taken a lot of chakra maintaining Sage Transformation while practicing the technique, but the clone had also gotten so good at controlling the transformation that he could have it cover his whole body. Hoping that Den would appreciate the skills, he dispersed himself so that all of this new information would be sent directly to Den's mind.

As they entered Eva's apartment, a loud crash could be heard as Shizuko broke the TV, and the sound of snakes quickly slithering out of the way to avoid it landing on them. Den would reach up to hold his head as he turned to look at what caused the sound, a slight headache from all of his clones memories assaulting him at once.

"Damn, well I suppose it's a good thing you both are leaving with us. Don't worry about the TV, I'll go tell the land lord about it before we leave and pay for it." He hoped that his words reached Eva before she had any sort of negative reaction, he wanted her to know that the Tv didn't matter,=.

"I have plenty of cash kept hidden away, so don't worry about paying me back or anything either. Once you have all of your stuff you want to take packed up just come over and tell me, I'll teleport it all to a safe place where we can keep it until we find a place to stay in Shima." He would smile and wave goodbye to Eva before heading towards the door, "Thanks for deciding to come with me, I appreciate it." He'd then give her a genuine smile before finally leaving. His two snakes, both excited that Shizuko was gonna go on adventures with them, followed quickly, slithering along the floor.
