Discrepancy (P, NK)

The man remained motionless, his stare unmoving and his body rigid, almost as if he had died whilst standing and forgot to, you know, flop. However, there was a battle occurring for him.. Internally, the voices were fighting for dominance, the feeling of.. pain. It shocked him. He had not felt it in such a long time.. He was unable to cope with it, having retracted inside of his own mentality, the good fighting the bad for whom would reign over the broken body. The saviour grappling with the demon.

Slowly, the corners of his lips curved upwards into a smirk, not a smile. With this malicious smirk upon his features, the boys eyes flittered towards the two before him, flicking one hand to Altar and then towards Youta. "You, cut off the hand that struck me or both of you will be executed by Jester and Wraith." With the imperative stated, Xyxer awaited to see what would happen, his eternal mangekyo sharingan active just in case he'd need to force the male into it via a genjutsu.

Youta would actually calm down, with Altar it was different. Looking at him the Chuunin was about to explain, or rather repeat what she just shouted at Xyxer. But once again she was interrupted as the Kage commanded Altar to cut off the girl's right hand. Although she did trust the boy not to, or maybe she wanted to, Youta would slowly back away from him and a kunai would appear in her right hand. She was not losing her hand! Her attention would however be directed as Xyxer, rather than Altar, as the girl prepared to fight back. If the demon had learned anything from their last encounter, then he would know that she was not just going to give it up. Noticing the change in the man's eyes Youta would assume it being some sort of doujutsu and activate Seigan, what little it would do.

Altar's eyes widened as he heard Xyxer talk, frozen in his place when the words left his mouth. Youta had pulled a Kunai from somewhere, and was slowly backing away from him. Did she not trust him? Was she afraid of him? Oh god, would he lose her this way, too? He couldn't... he wouldn't be able to function if he did. He would lose all reason and hope for life. Altar would shudder, a slow shiver up his body. His eyes would dart from person to person. There was Xyxer, as well as the two ANBU, Jester and Wraith. He could not handle all of them, far from it. Even with Youta's help, if she would even lend it, there was no hope. Altar could see a blind hope and no win scenario when he saw it. Altar's mind was frantically racing to decide just what to do. If he didn't do it, both him and Youta would die. If he did it, Youta would hate him and he would lose his lifeline. He would wither and fade from existence. Either way, he was a dead man.

"Xyxer, you know I can't...can't do that. I don't betray those I love and hold dear to me. Now please, call off Jester and Wraith. There is no need for this to escalate further. Pointless bloodshed is a waste. We all live and thrive under the same name, now we should act like it. Besides, something like this will only instill more and more hatred. There's more to you than that. I know you, Xyxer. We are alike, and like me, you must battle what is inside you. Demons and angels naturally fight inside of us, but who wins depends on who you feed. So I beg of you, don't fall to the demon side of yourself. Not here, anyways, because you know that what you've asked of me is impossible." Altar would say, his words slow and calm where needed, and spoken stronger where needed more. Altar had been in Xyxer's position. He had fought with the bad against the good, and with the good against the bad. He was still fighting, in fact. And he could see that very same fight practically raging within Xyxer's eyes. The problem with his fight, was that the demon inside of Xyxer had been fed for far too long.

Just in case anything happened, Altar kept his hands close together. He didn't need to be jumped.

Seeing the girl flinch from her lover and brandish a weapon, Xyxer could not help but chuckle.. She was the same runt now as she had been the time ago where he had left her body broken and bloodied. Perhaps she was the wrong idea for one of his groups. And then so it was.. Her eyes gleamed a blue sheen.. There was something different about them all of a sudden, she'd done something in order to get.. what? Some form of enhanced visuals? Was she studying his chakra network? He was unsure, but it annoyed him that she was acting just like any person or animal would do in the circumstance where their back was against a wall, she was prepared to fight. As for Altar? Well, he seemed to be appealing to Xyxer, hoping that perhaps, the good inside of him which had only just begun festering could overpower the demon that had always been, having made this hollow carcass it's vessel for now and all of it's remaining life. He paused for a moment, his eyebrows perking upwards and his eyes welled up, seeming as if he was about to cry at any moment, "Truer words have never been spoken, Altar.." He paused a little bit, even sniffling.

"It shouldn't be done in front of all of these innocent people, only Youta is the aggressor here. Both of you, march off to the training towers for your final minutes. Do some sightseeing on your path there, god knows it'll be the last time you do." Xyxer looked back up now, his crocodile tears having came to an end and a malicious smirk once more dirtying his features, Wraith and Jester ready at any moment to punish the two for their disobedience of their master, with, of course, Xyxer's hand now raised into the air as if he was high fiving a ghost.

Gripping the weapon more tightly Youta would not move. It seems Altar knew Xyxer better than she did and tried to appeal to him in some way that made little sense to her. To the girl Xyxer was only somebody who attacked her out of nowhere, spoke random ego-centric lines, injured her and left her tied up. And then somehow became the Tenkage. This looked more and more like the man had little sanity, his reaction absolutely inadequate. What could be done? Of course she was not going to sacrifice her hand and even more so her life.

So, when he commanded them to go to the training towers for their execution, Youta did not move, she did little but get a second kunai to appear in her left hand. Having only fought Haru for comparison, this looked rather grim. The two of them could probably not take on Xyxer and then there were these two ANBU escorts to deal with. If it came to that of course, the hope always remained.

Xyxer wanted them to march themselves to their own death. That was not going to happen. It appeared that he could not appeal to Xyxer. He had hoped if they could stall for long enough, the good side of him would redevelop and surface, but it appeared his hope was for naught. Either was, Altar was going to die. He may as well go down with a fight. Activating his Byakugan, as well as his Meigan, Altar was ready to fight. He would look to Youta and see her with another kunai in her other hand. This was a fight that they had already lost. But he wouldn't sit here and accept death.

"I will not march myself to my own death simply for your own amusement. Don't think for a second that I am a weak, pitiful dog like that. I have not and I will not give up, not to anyone or anything. I am only going to say this one more time, Xyxer. Do not do this. You are more than this, and you know it." Altar would say, hoping he could get Xyxer to see reason. If he couldn't, well, there was a bloodbath inevitable.

"You pitiful fool. EVERYBODY marches to their death when the reaper wraps his fingers around the gnarled strings of his instrument. You are no exception, cur." With that, Xyxer closed his hand, forcing it into a fist and the two shinobi that were five meters either side of Youta now acted; Jester now utilized the Tiger and Ram hand seals, two exact copies of himself being summoned either side of himself, which of course, would be pretty distracting. One of the clones would dash towards Youta, aiming to attack her with a simple throw of their own leg towards her shins, a nice sweeping strike. The other two however aimed for the higher goal, tumbling and darting towards Altar, both circling around him by two metres very much like hyenas playing with their food before one of them lunged forwards from behind Altar, attempting to send a swift flicking jab of a kick into the back of Altar's knee, the other utilising what would happen, if it was to happen, by swinging forwards with their right leg, aiming to strike him in the face if he was to bend the knee, if he did not succumb to the other attack however he would instead take a step forwards and do a spartan kick towards the torso of the male, hoping his speed was enough to prevail.

As for Youta, however, the clone would dart towards her and simply attack with the kick mentioned previously, with Wraith's body seemingly disappearing almost instantly, instantly appearing at the spot behind Youta at the speed of 149, as soon as his travel ending he would seek to end an elbow crashing down into the spinal cord of Youta, paralysing her more likely if it was to hit, but alas, it would not yet kill her.

All the while Xyxer watched, for his own amusement, a small smile on his face at the chaos that was slowly beginning to ensue.. He did not suit being a kage, his amusement was much better derived from the habits of a missing shinobi.. Oh, if only he could only go back to such a free life.. If only. He watched the fighting, ready to jump in at any moment should he be forced to.

And apparently it would come to that, as after Altar's failed last attempt to talk with the man Xyxer would give the signal and the ANBU would attack them. Spotting one of the ANBU beginning to make a hand seal, Youta would lunge forward thrusting her right arm aiming to stab him in the left shoulder, while her left would swing into a slash at his face, hopefully interrupting the sequence and whatever technique it might have been.

Although the other ANBU's probably intended use of shunshin would only time to happen shortly in the world where clones did emerge, if in some case he still appeared behind Youta, then the moment his shadow fell on her cheek, the girl would not take any chances and visualizing the handseals in her mind would switch places with a barrel that was standing by the wall of the sweet shop, by which they were fighting. The distance would be very small, in fact Youta would only be able to switch places with the thing because it was right next to her. The result would be that the elbow would indeed seem to hit her, though that being an illusion created from the technique and the girl would swing a kunai at the back of Wraith's neck.

Altar just barely caught sight of Xyxer closing his hand, before the two ANBU on either side of him began moving. No, no, NO! This couldn't happen, both him and Youta would surely die from this. And it was his fault...he had to right this.

Forming a ram handseal, Altar would Shunshin out of reach of the ANBU clones, and would raise his hand high to Xyxer.

"Enough! ENOUGH! Xyxer, call them off. I'll go. I'll go, just please stop this, don't do this. I'll give you my life in exchange for this. But Youta will walk free. In exchange for my life, give her hers. Let her walk away from this unscathed and my life is yours." Altar would say, shouting his words so they would reach the ears of everyone that needed to hear it.

It seemed the ANBU members would need to work on their coordinated attacks, Xyxer noted in his head as Youta seemed to, by some miracle, react to the movement of Wraith and had appeared somewhere else.. Right next to him, it appeared. She was half a metre from the male whom was against the wall, and so Xyxer turned his head around to her, lifting his arm up simply to move it in front of her torso in order to stop her from moving any closer to Wraith, naturally, with Wraith moving his own body further from her. Hearing what Altar said, Xyxer reacted simply with a simple smile. "Youta will forfeit her weapons and drop to her knees for forgiveness, then perhaps your sins will be alleviated from your burdened shoulders."
