Training

A few days ago, Risako and her friend Lukas saved an annoying child from a rather tall tree, that just so happened to root it's self a little too close to the village gates. Knocking down this tree would be easy enough, well... she was going to be much lazier about. It would be much easier, and much less time consuming to reduce the tree to a smoldering pile of ashes. A few problems came about from that solution, as she might very well burn down part of the gate. Or the tree could fall down on her, or it could destroy the gate. Oh well~ she was gonna try it anyway.
Risako waltzed out of her house, taking in the gentle breeze that graced the village and its people that day. As she strolled down the street, she recognized a few of the citizens she had met since she became ninja. The plump mission board lady was out shopping for groceries or whatever, Risako avoided her though as the plump mission board lady had a crabby attitude most of the time. Her neighbor walked with a stride so great that it could not be broken by any living soul. Risako slid around the corner heading west to the village gates. Her thoughts turned to her first mission, and how it went relatively smooth. She actually viewed the missions as fun, but the luster would soon wear off. Well... when she got to the more exciting missions at least.
The gate's door was wide open, with no guard as most of the higher ups were missing. A genin would be killed or run over if they tried to guard the door and the power of the combined genin hardly amounted to much of a defense anyway. Stepping outside the gate, she eyed up the tree, realizing it much taller than she remembered. Either way, she readied up the fire stream jutsu, preparing to burn it to ash. She blasted the tree with a small fire stream, causing the moss to dry up and fake off. It angered her slightly that the tree didn't light up like she thought it would. She tried again, blasting the same spot with a another spurt if fire. This time, she only darkened the tree, and she came to the conclusion that it may be a bad idea to run around burning what her village was known for.
Risako took off for the training ground instead, as that was much better when it came to preventing forest fires. Upon arriving, she remembered she was attempting learn the Phoenix Flower Jutsu. If she had any shuriken, it would make it much more interesting. Alas, she would have to resort to using the pebbles and stones that lie before her feet. Performing the necessary hand seals, she would knead the chakra in her chest. Puffing her chest out as far as she could, she would spew forth six fireballs, just to gauge her ability. She leaned over to pick up a rock, while she prepped the technique again. This time, she through the rock right before she let loose the fire balls, completely enshrouding the rock with a cloak of flame. While she was satisfied with her results, she would have to improve more later.

I would finish it, but I'm in another topic at the moment where I'll likely finish up the word count.
