The calm before the storm was a very true statement, but in this particular moment, the calm came after. For while the night before had brought a devastating hurricane, at the moment, the morning seemed peaceful and tranquil as if the storm itself had never happened. The ocean was calm and the breeze that blew through cooled the warm tropical air, the way it looked now, it almost seemed like an island paradise. Tatsuo was on his way to get to work on two missions he had been tasked with both included helping out the local fishermen. His task was to be that he was supposed to help the fishermen gather materials and aid in repairing their vessels, a task that would most likely be a simple matter.

Upon arrival to the beach where the majority of the fishermen had been waiting for him, he noticed their group wasn't abnormally large but then again not small either. There appeared to be about ten fishermen and only a couple of them needed repairs done on their vessel from what Tatsuo could see upon general inspection. He noticed quickly upon his arrival that a group of fishermen had already began their needed repairs, as he approached the group a very hefty and scruffy looking fisherman greeted him. "What can we do for you laddy?"

As the man spoke, his voice seemed just as rough and gruff as his appearance. Tatsuo couldn't help but think why these burly fishermen would need assistance repairing their ships, they clearly looked strong enough to complete such a task on their own but it was Tatsuo's mission none-the-less. "Actually i'm here to assist you with making any repairs to your ships that are necessary." Tatsuo spoke with slight boredom, while he knew that at his current rank these were about what most of his mission would be like, he still couldn't help but dream for the day that his tasks would actually challenge him and push him to his very limit.

"Oh really? Well much appreciated for that then, some of us could use an extra pair of hands around here nowadays. Plus some of the vessels around here could use a tune-up after last nights storm. Why don't we stop beating around the bush and hop to it, being a shinobi keeps you pretty busy i'm willing to bet." The man announced with a laugh as he began to escort Tatsuo to the closest ship that was beached nearby. "Behold my merry vessel, I call her "The Umino" and she is my pride and joy." The man said with deep admiration before he speaking yet again. "She doesn't need much in the way of repairs just some tuning up here and there, when the storm hit I was smart enough to call it a day unlike some of these other guys here who have brains full of sand and greed." Tatsuo agreed and replied with nothing more than a nod to the man as he cracked open a cargo box full of wood, planks that will be used to patch any major breaches in the hull. Surprisingly there were very few breaches to patch up at all, even the ships who were more badly damaged were quite easy to repair. It only took Tatsuo a couple of hours to finished the task, say goodbye to the men he had spent the day with and be on his merry way, another completed mission underneath his belt. [exit post]
