Character Requirements: None

Task: The gates have been ruined, assist other shinobi and repair men in fixing the gates.
Mezurashii jumped from roof to roof towards the damaged gates, she landed softly and waved to a shinobi and he walked towards her.
"Are you the genin that's meant to help us?" he asked and she nodded. The older man gestured to the stack of large bars by the entrance.
"Help the repair men move them to wherever they want" he said gruffly before walking off to help with the gate. Mezurashii simply shrugged and walked over to the stack, the men who were lifting the bars raised their eyebrows at her.
"You lost girl?" one of the younger men asked, the goggle wearing girl shook her head.
"I'm a student at the Ninja Academy, I've been assigned to help you boys moving these bars to wherever you want them to go" she said in a polite tone, but most of the young workers laughed and snickered at her. The older ones however remained quiet, shaking their heads at the blatant disrespect towards a protector of the village.
"Sorry girlie, but this is mens work, I don't think a little dame like you could... lift... these" his confident voice faded as the redhead ignored the man and picked up one of the larger bars and rested it on her shoulder, Mezurashii turned her head and grinned victoriously at the arrogant man.
"You just gonna stand there or are you gonna work?" she asked as she strutted towards the older looking men "where do you want this?" she politely asked, all signs of her earlier demeanor was gone and back was the polite girl. The older workers grinned at her while some openly laughed at the young ones expense, one gestured for her to follow and she did.
A few hours passed and everyone was allowed a break, Mezurashii dropped onto the stack of woodwork that was currently serving as the workers seats. She huffed and leaned back, this work was harder then expected but it would do wonders for her strength and stamina she was sure.
"You okay Red?" Daichi, one of the older workers, addressed Mezurashii by her new nickname. The girl smiled at the older man and thanked him when he offered her a drink, taking even sips she sighed.
"You builder people have enough strength to make a chuunin" she joked and the old men laughed, the younger men were still licking their wounds and were staying at a distance.
"Best not compliment us so much, you might make us blush!" the men laughed as others threw in comments of good humor. They all laughed merrily until the arrogant boy from earlier walked up to them, scowling.
"If you have time to laugh to have time work!" he said, Mezurashii was about to speak when one of the old workers waved him off.
"Don't be in such a rush boy, the gates not going anywhere" he said and everyone chuckled at the young man as he bristled.
"Fine! at least i won't get fired!" he said as he stormed off.
"With that attitude I'm surprised he got the job" Mezurashii commented, but Daichi shook his head.
"He's not a bad lad, he just doesn't like to be made a fool of" he said as he scratched his chin, watching as the young worker lifted a bar a bit to heavy for him. The boy stumbled and crashed into a stack of heavy metal bars stacked high, everyone yelled in panic but Mezurashii pushed herself off the stack of wood and bounded over.
Kicking away one of the bars that were tumbling towardsthe boys head Mezurashii grabbed him around the torso and jumped for safety, however one of the bars hit her leg and the two tumbled. Mezurashii barely even glance up as she covered the young mans body with her own, using her wind chakra to stop the bars falling on top of them.
"Red! Hajime! Are you guys okay?" Mezurashii heard someone call out, she turned her body to face the direction that the noise came from but a sudden pain shot up from her right ankle. Looking down to her limb she found it encased in metal, cursing slightly she turned to see Hajime awake and staring at her in shock.
"We're okay!" she yelled back, after a few seconds she heard the sound of metal scrapping against metal and concluded that they were digging them out.
"You okay? No pain or dizziness?" Mezurashii asked the boy, he shook his head vigorously.
"What about you?" he asked and the redhead laughed lightly.
"It's not like I got my arm torn off, I'll just have to go to the hospital and rest mostly" she said as light began to spill into the pocket they were trapped in, she heard the frantic calls and she called out to reassure them.
"Ow ow ow" Mezurashii hissed repeatedly, her ankle finally being released.
"Well, that's the end of your mission then" the shinobi in charge said, Mezurashii looked up at him worriedly.
"But what about the gate? Does this mean I've failed my mission?" she asked, the shinobi smiled at the girl and patted her shoulder.
"You completed your mission, your objective was to help with the repairs and you have, I'll make sure you get paid" he reassured and Mezurashii smiled, it wasn't really the pay but the fact that she could have failed her mission.
"Okay then, can someone help me to the hospital?" the goggle wearing redhead called out and laughed when over half the workers volunteered.
Done! I hope it's done well enough, what's the word count?
