Ryuu Hyuuga: Shadow Clone Jutsu!
Sat Oct 10, 2015 1:02 am
Ryuu had been on a streak, Ryuu had been meeting two different ninja, both different in the ways they carried themselves. Both as a person and as a shinobe. On top of that, he had been learning all kinds of new things. He had finally experienced genjutsu, learned the way to escape genjutsu, but he also had a few sparring fights to give him a little experienced of actually fighting another person. Sure, he had gotten destroyed both times without a prayer, but at least now he knows what an actual ninja can do with his or her skill. Now he knew what a good ninja can do, and how quick they think, and how good they are, even if they were just sparring and taking it completely easy. But he also learned how weak it truly was and how much he needed to improve before he could actually be competition for one of these shinobes with actual skill.
Ryuu then thought of the slowness that he experienced when he fought both of the shinobe in the passed few days, the strange man with the jar of dirt, and Salzem, the man that he admired from the moment that he actually showed him a little kindness in teaching him about Genjutsu and the sealing technique. "There are so many amazing things in this world of ours. I can't wait to learn all there is to know!" Ryuu then had no idea what he should do next to improve his skill. "There is Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu. But which one should I focus on right now?" Ryuu asked himself several times. Ryuu then gave up thinking about it and decided to walk into town. As he was walking, he continued to stare at the gates. Thinking about how great it would be to finally be on the other side of those gates, getting closer and closer to his completing the mission. "One day, I will be out there, living like Salzem, just wandering through the world, coming and going as he pleases to any place that he wants. That is the dream for me." Ryuu told himself, again, feeling as though he was constricted by the walls that surrounded him, keeping him trapped inside, like a animal inside a cage. Also knowing that he was in fact safe from the dangers that surrounded him outside the walls. Whether it be starvation or even other shinobe, much stronger than himself. Ryuu contemplated leaving for a long time, but he knew that he wasn't close to being ready, at least no on his own.
Ryuu passed by a Ramen shop, thinking of the churning his stomach was feeling as he looked at the huge bowl, filled to the brim with the delicious broth and filled with the noodles, the same ones that were obviously perfectly cooked and filled with all of the fixin's the chef so masterfully put together onto one dish. Ryuu stopped in and asked for a bowl, as he ate he continued to think of his next move in the overall goal to improve himself. He decided that he was going to learn another ninjutsu. Taijutsu was something he also really needed work on, but he was going to decide to work on ninjutsu for the time being. "Which Ninjutsu though? That's the tough question." Ryuu said to himself. Ryuu took another bite of his ramen, tasting all of the beautiful flavors going at war with one another. The broth in the soup being of a sweet, salty, and savory flavor. The meat inside being cooked perfectly from within the broth. He then thought again of what jutsu he should learn next.
Ryuu then finished the rest of the ramen, got up, paid his bill, and walked out of the restaurant. He walked down the street, realizing that the weather was getting cooler and cooler every day, which was something that Ryuu looked forward to every single day of the year. He loved the cold weather, pretty ironic that he never really saw the cold, only somewhat cool temperatures in the Village hidden in the Sand. Ryuu realized that much of his days were in the retched heat, which was another, while minor, reason why he wanted to leave the village. Ryuu finally passed by a book store, he walked inside and began looking through all of the scrolls that were stocked onto the stacks upon stacks of shelves. He finally passed by a scroll that was titled "Naruto Uzumaki: Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Ryuu felt himself intrigued, for he had heard of Uzumaki Naruto quite a few tmes throughout his time in the academy, mostly from his teachers talking about days of old. But he began reading the scroll. It began by talking about how Naruto Uzumaki was a failure throughout the entirety of his time in the academy. But there was one jutsu that he was especially bad at. The clone jutsu. Ryuu continued to read that Naruto instead became a master at the shadow clone jutsu. The scroll continued to have a lesson in what the clone jutsu was, and the handseal required to do it. Ryuu then decided that that was the jutsu that he was going to learn next. The jutsu that was made famous by the sixth Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Ryuu realized that this jutsu was a very powerful one, so powerful in fact, that it received a B ranking. This means that it was going to take more work to learn this jutsu, than any other jutsu that he ever learned before. "I thought the Body Flicker was difficult, that was only a D rank technique! Ryuu then grabbed the scroll and headed to the woman standing by the counter, he purchased the scroll and walked out of the store. Ryuu then walked toward the Training Grounds to begin his training. Ryuu became more and more excited as he got closer to the Training Grounds. "Learning a B rank technique. This is going to be exciting!
Ryuu walked into the training grounds and found an area in the training grounds that was secluded from the rest of the people that were inhabiting the area at the time. "This is where I am going to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Ryuu excited himself and began his warm up. Now that he has become a little more experienced and "Seasoned" as Sazlem would put it, he had refined his warm up. No longer did he just stretch and jog around the training grounds. Now, he still did stretch and jog. But now, instead of just jogging, he would channel a small portion of his chakra into his feet. He would then turn his attention to the wall's of the buildings in the town, continuing to practice his chakra control. After he was feeling warmed up, he would then practice all of the basics. Starting with the simple, kunai and shuriken throwing. He set up targets all around him, hid behind objects, he would jump up into the air, throwing his kunai and he would try again and again until he hit every last target. Finally, when he was finished with this phase in his warm up, he was ready and balanced and level headed, finally in the right position to train.
The first part of the Shadow Clone Jutsu was the hand seal. The hand seal required to perform this jutsu was not one of the animal seals. But instead, you take both of your hands, take your index and middle finger, curl the rest of your fingers in and cross your extended fingers, making them a perfect North South east West cross. After you have performed the appropriate hand seal. You say the jutsu's name being the "The Shadow Clone Jutsu". Channel your chakra and you perform the jutsu, making a clone of yourself that is an actual being, not just an image like the original clone jutsu that a ninja would learn in the Ninja's Academy. When "actual being" is said, it means something that can actually interact with the environment, or more importantly, help you fight the ninja that is your opposing force. Ryuu figured the best way to begin the training of this jutsu was to perform the original clone jutsu, just to remember what it is like to make another you. Ryuu performed the original clone jutsu that learned, what seemed so long ago, once he saw that he made a perfect clone of himself. He decided that it couldn't have been much different to make a shadow clone.
Ryuu then readied himself, got into a fighting stance. Performed the hand seal, being the cross with your index and middle fingers, and attempt the jutsu. When he saw what had come of his attempt, he was less than pleased. What he had produced was absolutely nothing. He stood there and there was no cloud of smoke, there was absolutely nothing. He of course thought that he didn't put enough chakra into the jutsu, so he tried again, but this time, focusing more of his chakra into the technique. This time, he was able to make a smoke cloud appear, he thought that that would have worked, but once the smoke had cleared, there was still nothing inside. Feeling that his chakra levels had already been depleted. He decided to call it a night and rest. He picked up his things, went outside the training grounds' gateway, and headed for home. On his way, however, he walked by the ramen shop once more. He decided to stop by once more for some more ramen, being that he loved it so much the first time. He sat down at the bar and asked for the same bowl of ramen that he had ordered the first time that morning, when he had walked by going to the training grounds from his home. He began to watch, watched the chef put the ingredients together, getting the wok set up and ready, getting all of his cooking utensils put where they needed to go, otherwise known as Mise En Place, which means everything is in place, or where it needs to be. He then saw him put the same ingredients in the same order at the same temperature for the same amount of time. He continued to watch until he had finally began the final phase of making this delicious bowl of ramen, the putting of everything together. He began with the broth, then the noodles, then he continued on and on until finally he had all of the pieces of the dish together in one dish, just as he had that morning when he was on his way to the training grounds.
The chef handed Ryuu the bowl of the fantastic ramen, telling Ryuu that he hoped that Ryuu would enjoy, as if there was any way that he could not. Ryuu became excited when he looked at the ramen, being an exact carbon copy of what he had eaten that morning at the same ramen shop. He began thinking about this concept for a while as he ate his ramen. "Consistent ingredients, consistent techniques, consistent cooking utensils, when you have a consistent process, you have a consistent product." Ryuu kept thinking about this and couldn't find out why he found this idea so interesting, so relevant. It drove him crazy because he could feel the idea tugging in his mind, he just couldn't put two and two together. Ryuu finished his meal, stood up, thanked the chef, paid the bill, and walked out of the restaurant. As he was walking home, he continued to think about the ramen, "the consistent process, equaled a consistent product. Maybe if... no that's not it..." Ryuu continued to walk home, decided to forget about it for a while. He finally reached his home, and walked toward his bedroom. He laid down and continued to re visualize everything that he had seen with the chef and his ramen, he slowly drifted off to sleep thinking about it.
Ryuu woke up, he immediately continued to think of the chef and his cooking of the ramen. "What could this mean, it wouldn't still be on my mind if it wasn't something important." Ryuu racked his brains about it. Ryuu was on his way to the training grounds, when he passed by the ramen shop again, he didn’t buy any ramen this time, he just walked into the restaurant, and just watched the chef. He gathered his things, and did the exact same thing as before. The product was all the same. That was when it finally hit him. Ryuu sprinted out of the door and ran directly for the training grounds. “When he used a consistent amount and type of ingredient, consistent tools for building the ramen, cooking styles to cook the ramen, he had consistent everything when making his product, which gave him a consistent product all together!” Ryuu yelled to himself as he sprinted into the training grounds. Ryuu had realized that he may have been able to find the right amount of chakra, but the amount that he was producing was never consistent. Always a huge surge of chakra. “Be consistent in your chakra, and you will get a consistent product.” Ryuu said to himself, the product in which he was referring to was a shadow clone. Ryuu realized that he needed to work on his chakra consistency, but the way to do that was to use surface walking technique, such as walking on a wall or water, for an extended amount of time. Ryuu then grabbed his things and left the training grounds, as sand was not a very good surface when it comes to this kind of thing. Ryuu then walked toward one of the buildings in the middle of town, walked up the wall halfway, and he just stood there. He would stand there as long as he could, his first few times it only lasted a few seconds, this is when he realized that what he had thought was true, he was just pushing as much chakra out as he could, but nothing good was coming from it.
Ryuu continued to stand on that wall for hours and hours until finally he had been able to hold a consistent amount of chakra for thirty whole minutes. He jumped down from the wall, falling down as he landed. Not realizing just how much chakra he actually used doing this, he stumbled back to the training grounds, wanting to just finish this technique, before he passed out. He finally got back into the training grounds, he was just about to reach the spot that he had been training at the day before. He reached the spot, slowly got into his fighting stance, performed the hand sign, and that was when he blacked out.
What felt like only seconds later, he woke up in his room, on his bed, just lying there. “What happened?” Ryuu rubbed his eyes. Ryuu groggily got to his feet from his bed, stretched his body, and walked around, feeling like he had just gotten beaten half to death. He cracked his neck, when he began feeling much better, he walked back out the door of his home, and walked halfway up his wall. Doing this to ensure that he could still provide a consistent flow of chakra. When he walked up, he stood, and he stayed. When he reached a ten minute mark of having no trouble, he decided that it was time to go back to the training grounds and finish this jutsu up once and for all. He was going to create himself a shadow clone if it was the last thing he was to do!
Ryuu began walking quickly toward the training grounds, getting more and more excited, but still feeling extremely fatigued from his fainting episode the day before. Ryuu was exhausted, but all he wanted to do was to make sure that he could create a shadow clone for the first time, and create one that is perfectly the spitting image or the “Carbon Copy” of himself. Ryuu got into his fighting stance, channeled his chakra, performed the hand seal for the shadow clone jutsu. Create the cross with his index finger and middle finger and said “Shadow Clone Jutsu”. The cloud of smoke was produced, but inside was a pathetic clone of an unnatural size, completely deformed, and all around pathetic. Ryuu got frustrated, he could not figure out why in the world he could not create the shadow clone. Ryuu thought that he must be doing something wrong with the amount of chakra that he was using up for this jutsu. He decided that he should try and find the right amount of chakra for this jutsu, first, he tries to use less chakra. Ryuu got into his stance, performed the seal, said the jutsu’s name, channeled less chakra into the jutsu, and performed the jutsu. This time, the cloud of smoke appeared and the result was the same as the time before, so Ryuu dispelled the clone and tried again, this time with more chakra. Ryuu got into his fighting stance, performed the jutsu the same as before but with a higher amount of chakra. This time, he yelled the jutsu’s name “Shadow Clone Jutsu!” Ryuu channeled more chakra into his jutsu, closed his eyes and focused on creating the perfect clone. The cloud of smoke appeared, Ryuu opened his eyes and he was staring at the cloud of smoke with intent and anxiousness, hoping to God that his clone was standing there. The smoke finally settled and there he was, he had finally created a shadow clone. The clone stood there, a mirror image of Ryuu, standing there, staring back at him. Ryuu ran up to him and poked him in the forehead. “You are real!” Ryuu exclaimed as he kept poking the clone in the forehead. Ryuu was so happy with himself, he had finally done it. His first higher ranked jutsu had been learned, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was his!
