Hoooooot Are You? (P, IO, NK)
Mon Nov 09, 2015 7:23 am
After having finished just bonding with Kanji's Benevolence, Roy had been informed by Kyson that he would be on his way to the training grounds to train. Royalty was cool with it. They did not have a specific agenda for the day so Royalty figured he could do his own thing. Upon thinking about what he could be doing, he remembered that he had just left Aori upstairs to sleep. When he had the surprise for Kyson, he made sure he was quiet and did not wake her up. Royalty figured he could not just leave and go somewhere. She would wake up and not know what in the hell was going on. That was irresponsible. When Kyson had left, Royalty had went upstairs and turned to the right to walk into his room.
Once in his room, he noticed Aori had still been sound asleep. She looked so beautiful with her vibrant red hair. She was not a snorer or a person whom drooled a lot so that was certainly a plus. Royalty walked up to his bed and reached his arm out to nudge her. He placed his hand on her higher shoulder as she was laying on her side with her hand under her head but they were both on her pillow. As she opened her eyes, all she saw was a guy with a large gold helmet over his face. She jumped slightly as she seemed a little startled until she noticed that the guy was Royalty.
"Oh my goodness! Wha... Why are you wearing that Roy?? You scared the hell out of me. Do not do that!" Aori's back was now against the wall because the bed was in the corner. She had been on her knees in the bed sitting on her calf muscles. She held the sheets over her body as she was not fully dressed. Roy had forgotten that he had even activated his armor. He stepped back and glanced at himself. She was right. Why was he wearing this now? After closing his eyes for a second, the armor deactivated. He was just standing there with just pants on. He then opened his eyes and got closer to speak.
"Oh ha. I am sorry. I had forgot I even had it on. I was just in the back yard trying to bond with it. It is this new piece of equipment that optimizes the nerves in my body. I can deactivate that form but the regular piece is attached to my spinal cord." Royalty turned around to face his back to Aori. He showed her how it connected to him. Aori looked at it in a very weird way.
"Wow Roy. This looks very weird. Does it hurt or something? It looks like it is really hooked on to you." Aori reached her arm out to touch the metal spine. She tried to grab it with that hand and move it but it would not budge. Royalty did not budge. It did not inflict pain on him.
"Nah. When I first put it on, it hurt for a bit. After I spent some time with it on, it is like it became a part of me. If I move, it moves. Which is neat. But hey, get your cute ass up. We are going to go for a walk. I do not feel like staying in this house." Roy then walked to the bathroom that was across from the foot of his bed. Aori was confused. She had just woken up so everything would not register at first to her.
"Where are we going?" She asked as her eyes followed Roy's movements. Roy chuckled slightly.
"You ask too many questions. Now are you hopping in the shower with me or not? I am about to wash up and get dressed." Aori loved the assertiveness from Roy. She felt as if he were going to surprise her but he just said a walk so she did not get her hopes up. She smiled and got out of the bed. After walking into the bathroom, her and Royalty brushed their teeth and took a shower together.
After the two were finished washing up, which had took a while from them distracting each other, they stepped out of the bathroom. The two then got themselves dressed. Aori thought it was weird with the metal on Roy's spine. She had felt on it numerous times while they were in the shower. Once they were finished getting dressed, Aori grabbed her bag and Roy grabbed his bag. They left the room and went downstairs.
As the two were downstairs, there was a mixture of silly flirting and joking around. Ultimately, this just passed the time for Roy to make a few sandwiches and pack a lot of waters for them. He told her that she did not need to bring her back because he had everything he needed. She put down her bag and they left the house.
After leaving the house, Aori followed Royalty. She did not know where they were going but apparently they were walking towards the Village Gates. Once at the gates, a guard acknowledged Roy's presence and allow him to pass. After the disputes prior to today, the guard had realized that Roy was trustworthy as he had done a great service to the Village Hidden in the Sand. The two then set out on a long walk away from the village.
A long time went about. They had made it a significant distance away from the village. The two were up to their usual; Making jokes and flirting. They ate their sandwiches and drunk their water regularly. There were still a bunch left. Sometimes they would have instances of silent, but they would never last too long. The two still had much to learn about each other. It was the best thing in the world having someone you are infatuated with. Especially when you wanted to learn more about them. One little silent streak went along until Roy broke the silence.
"You know, one of the reasons why I did not answer you 'where are we going' questions? Mainly because I have no idea where I am leading you. Ha ha!" Roy smiled nervously as he did not know how Aori would take to the news. Aori just looked at Royalty. She did not seem angry, but instead, she just seemed confused.
"Hm, I kind of figured you did not have a set destination for us. It isn't like I'm not having fun though Roy. As long as I am walking with you, I feel so calm and happy. I guess I am just happy that I met you. I hope we know each other for a long time to come." Aori smiled at Roy. Roy smiled back and leaned to his left side to kiss her. She rose on her tippy toes to match up with his lips. As stated before, she was significantly shorter than him. After kissing, they both stood up straight and Royalty spoke again.
"Well, those words are nice to hear. That was my initial plan either way. I just wanted to go on an adventure with you. I am happy to just be out here with you. That reason and also I have never really explored the outskirts of the Wind Country. When I grew up here, I was always wanted to go around and just venture off. I was too young and my mother would not allow me to. Plus, she did not even want me to become a ninja. It was a bit of stuff." Royalty stopped talking as he did not want to get too much into the details. He did not want to get sad thinking of his parents. Of course being curious, Aori would ask.
"So, what happened to your parents? You never talk about them. Are they still alive?" As soon as she was finished speaking, Royalty noticed something in the distance. Royalty gave it a weird stare. Aori noticed his stare and got confused as well. She tried looking forward to see what Roy had been staring at but could not make it out. After turning back to Roy she spoke.
"What are you staring at? Answer my question Royalty.." Royalty seemed to snap out of it. He looked at Aori.
"What do you mean what am I looking at? How do you not see that huge temple?" Royalty pointed forward as he looked forward again. Aori tried to look forward again to see if she was missing something. She could see nothing but sand in the distance. She then looked back towards Royalty.
"I don't know what you are talking about. Are you trying to avoid my question? Is talking about your parents that bad?" Aori sounded worried. She thought this was his was of avoiding a touchy subject. Without even responding to her, Royalty picked Aori up by her legs and threw her over his shoulder. She groaned as she did not know what had gotten into him. Using Taijutsu Shunshin, Royalty was not in front of the temple.
Once he stopped, Royalty put Aori back down on his left side. She was a bit shell shocked. She needed time to collect herself as she was not expecting that. Royalty looked at the temple fascinated of what he was seeing. Aori could not determine what Royalty was so distracted by. Roy then walked up to the temple. He glanced at the whole entrance. Right before he walked in, the both of them heard a big
"HOOOOOOOOOOOOT"
Royalty was startled as he saw an owl fly out of the entrance and into his face. He backed up a bit as he was ready to defend himself and Aori. The owl stayed in its place and was flying at eye level of Royalty. The owl just stared at him. Aori was startled because to her, the owl came out of thin air. As the owl and Roy stared at each other, the owl began to speak. It was a female voice.
"Who are yoooooou? What do you see!?" Royalty was shocked. It was hard to imagine that there was a talking owl. Aori was speechless. Royalty pointed to himself.
"M-me? Are you talking to me?" Royalty was so confused.
"Yes I am talking to yoooou," said the owl.
"Uh," said Royalty as he looked back at Aori before he looked back to the owl. "My name is Royalty Yuka and what do I see? Well you and this large temple." As soon as he said temple, Aori was confused. She did not see anything that resembled a temple. She chose to keep quiet though. The owl just stared at Royalty for a few seconds before responding.
"Ooooooooo, we have another chosen one. HOO HOOOOOT." The owl seemed to be calling someone. When Royalty heard chosen one, he did not know what to make of it. A larger owl flew out of the temple and landed on the floor in front of Royalty. This one was the King of them all. It spoke after staring the boy down. This time, it was a male voice.
"I can not remember a time when someone has been able to see us. Only people pure of heart can see this temple. Which is why your friend looks even more confused than you." Royalty looked at Aori and the owl was right. She did look way more confused than him. The owl continued. "Royalty.... Welcome to the Temple of Solace. You are a chosen one after thousands of years. My name is Ovoilu. This is Ovoila. As part of a prophecy, I will guide you to see if you are indeed worthy of our trust. We will start when ever I see fit." Royalty felt like he did not know what Ovoilu was talking about. He was confused.
"Wait, so who are you? What is this place? And why are you calling me the chosen one? I am so confused." Royalty had been asking questions frantically. Ovoilu seemed calm as he also seemed like he expected Roy to act this way.
"All will be clear in due time. Ovoila, send them home." After told, Ovoila spread out her wings to the side and looked to the sky. The temple seemed to be fading.
"Wait! What do you mean send us home. What is going to happ..." Royalty was interrupted by a flash of white light.
Royalty then woke up. He sat up out of his bed and was breathing heavily. Looking to his right, he saw Aori sound asleep. He had memories of the events that just took place but was not sure it was a dream. It seemed to real to him. What had just happened?
