Re: Immortality, at a cost... (P, NK, IO)

Haru watched altar breathe in water and drown
”Oh, and one more thing. You are not to use your Byakugan. We don’t want to make things too easy, do we?”
Haru watched the boy’s expression carefully as he prepared to embark into the water. Wary, yet determined, from the looks of it. Good. As the boy stepped down the pole, Haru would say one last thing to Altar.
”Y’know, I used to fancy myself an inventor. I made all sorts of weapons, most of which I’ve forsaken now, but during that time, I learned a thing or two. Did you know water actually isn’t a very powerful conductor? Otherwise, it would be used in all manner of electrical outlets over metal, being much cheaper. As it turns out, it’s just better at conducting than the air and earth, no more, no less.” He said, as both a forewarning to the boy and some useful advice, should he read between the lines.
Haru would waste no more time, making a few quick hand seals, and unleashing a stream of electricity into the water towards Altar, the liquid conducting the current (Rather poorly from a scientific standpoint, but what are you gonna do?) and shocking the boy, should he choose to take it head on. The effect would be jarring and painful, but not enough to majorly injure the boy. Haru would watch his progress as he descended through the water, a few hand seals creating two clones of Haru from the pillar below him, who both descended through the murky water to Altar’s position, their forms morphing to that of the first two people that came to Haru’s mind; Youta and Xyxer, all the while barraging Altar with more lightning. Naturally, their chakras would be suppressed immediately.
The thought behind this was to catch Altar off guard while he was focusing on readying himself for an attack, thus dividing his mental power. It would be obvious that they were clones to anyone with forethought, but in the murky depths, blind to the light above, and hanging on for dear life. Altar would have to rely on two things; Primal instinct, and willpower. Whichever one prevailed over the other, only time would tell. As the clones began to move, Haru ceased his barrage of lightning, the silence amplified by the gloom of the murky water.
The clone of The Abysswalker would appear first, as he figured the shock and awe would be greater that way. Xyxer would come quickly, moving through the water as a blur, a heaven’s sorrow ninjato in hand, his speed bolstered, although the water would slow him enough to make it trackable. The fake Xyxer would swing for Altar’s stomach, making a huge gash across it if not stopped, before dashing past Altar into the murk. Next would come Youta, from above, a katana drawn from its sheathe in a remarkably good imitation of his student’s style, although watered down a bit. Still, with the water all around them, it would barely be noticeable. Youta’s clone would aim a gash across Altar’s right shoulder and down his arm, before she too disappeared behind Altar, into the abyss.

(48 Hour)
Haru would watch Altar fall to the attacks of the illusory Youta and Xyxer, seemingly too distracted by the chakra control and resisting the electrified water. He couldn’t blame him. This level of chakra control was incredibly difficult to master, but it was uncharacteristic for Altar to back down quite like this. Quite possibly, the boy had just been broken, all things considered.
Altar’s wounds were… Well, problematic. He had fully intended for Altar to try and defend against the attacks of the clones, thus failing the test, because he knew that’s how the boy would react. He just… didn’t even notice. The result was Altar being sliced in two by the clone of Xyxer and losing his right arm via the clone of Youta.
”Shit…” Muttered Haru, diving into the water without a second thought. He had to act fast. He quickly retrieved the body, the clones retrieving Altar’s legs and arm, pulling him, now unconscious from blood loss, to the surface, forming a platform out of Mokuton, where he quickly repositioned the limbs to the boy and reattached them, using the mystical palm technique, leaving him once more hale and healthy, if a little shaken. Although, at present, he’d still be unconscious, probably devoid of memory of the event altogether.
”I suppose you just weren’t ready. Maybe you just weren’t meant to learn this.” He muttered, flinging the boy’s unconscious body over his shoulder and making his way back to the shore, depositing him on the banks and making his way home. The boy could use some time to think.

Having read through this topic I can't approve you for training Chirdori Current as I don't see even a veiled mention of it. I can, however, approve your exit. Feel free to point out something I may have missed though.
