Who Believes in Immortality? [Kenshin]
Fri Oct 20, 2017 12:48 am
"Eami sanagi ku na no not
Mo ro kok moro na met mo toi kot
Mmyan fet twa ta ti a wi me
O di kio mami"
Mo ro kok moro na met mo toi kot
Mmyan fet twa ta ti a wi me
O di kio mami"
The lone male sung these words almost instinctively as he sat in the depths of the forest seemingly created by life. In the area not too far was its creator tending to the plants and animals alike listening to the somber yet refreshing song that for some odd reason sprung the entirety of the forest alive as if it was just going about its daily life. At the moment he had been alone in his mind as he repeated those words, a gentle wind blowing through his hair as he cracked one of his eyes open to peer through the canopy of the trees and then he stopped. It had been so long since he had sung those words, the song relieving him of any mental pain at least since that was what had been plaguing him.
As he stared into the distance of the light capturing leaves he could hear the shuffling of small steps and a simply cheery voice before it disappeared into the distance, and he could feel the energy of the forest becoming more lively since the male had walked back. Had he some sort of connection to this forest or was it the aura he exhumed from his body? He wasn't going to move from his perch to find out and he certainly wasn't going to go out of his way to ask. It was what it was and Mo-ri wasn't in the mood for chasing questions. For an arid place it had such a marvelous forest which had to have meant someone had made this...and if that was the case then it was something this place probably treasured.
Such a shame if something had happened to it, but the dead on the inside male wasn't a destroyer of nature. He slowly leaned his head forward as he looked at the staff leaning just a few inches from his face, conversing with it as if it was alive...was it? The staff had been a second half to him after he found it, forming a new bond with it in what would be best described as a symbiotic relationship. Yes. Here in this tree sat Mo-ri Jin, Formallly Mu-jin...given the situation he was in thanks to Shiori he adapted a new name and persona to fit the bill. The brown haired male stared into the distance as his cross hair shaped pupils looked for something. It didn't matter what it had been he had simply been looking. The day had a way of bringing something new and if he had not found it, then what would he do instead?
Instead he pulled the hood over his head and went back to singing, his voice carrying over the branches and leaves alike as he went into his own world. For someone who had lived a life not his own the words, at least to him, told a different story and one that he would soon be happy to leave behind. With the world slowly melting away from him the only thing left in his mind and by extension his heart, would slowly begin to be the only thing he focused on. Each word left his lips as if carried on an invisible beat and when he came to the end of it he only hummed the tune the one who had instilled the song into his mind often whistled when they were together. He'd continue like this unless someone came into the picture, his mind preoccupied but his senses? Those were still alert.

Hoshigakure's favourite (and only) scar faced albino once more found himself taking a stroll through the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve, the only difference being this time the sun was out in place of the moon. Hmm...the last time that he had taken a stroll through these woods he had met with the young member of the Nara clan, Kazuhiro, and the two of them had learnt how to perform the Nara clans famous Shadow Imitation technique together. Who knows, perhaps he would meet someone just as interesting during todays stroll...but then again the chance of that actually happening was rather slim.
Once more, whilst he was immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of nature a small but true smile would appear on the scarred chunin's face. As strange as it would be for many to understand Kenshin truly loved being immersed in nature...it was one of the few things that allowed the deeply troubled young man to feel at peace. So far his day had been the same as any other, starting with his usual training, followed by using one of Hoshi's various labs for a few hours, and to finish the day off he had decided to take a stroll through the Wildlife Reserve, simply to clear his mind.
Kenshin would be sure to thank Dusk the next time that the two met, as the young Swenju was the one responsible for creating this marvel of nature. Truthfully the half blood Senju was actually a little jealous of Dusk, as due to the experiments that had been performed on him when he was but a child it would be impossible for Kenshin to unlock his own Wood Release naturally. But then again, in his mind trdading his ability to use Wood Release for the black threads that now inhabite his body was a more than fair trade, especially seeing as he could always gain Wood Release in the exact same way that he had gained his Uzumaki Chakra Chains.
Now, at this point the muti hearted teen would feel a forgeign chakra signature on the edge of his sensory range, It wasn't large by any means, but Kenshin knew well that a large pool of chakra did not make one a threat, nor did it mean that someone with a small pool of chakra was not a threat. Plus, there was always the chance that they were just suppressing their chakra signature partially...something that he really needed to learn how to do actually. Either way though, feeling slightly surious about who this person could be, Kenshin would continue with his stroll, moving closer and closer to the chakra signature with every step.
When he got within fifty meters of the signature his sharp ears would start to pick up a distant sound...but unfortunately he was still unable to tell what it actually was. As he got closer the sound became clearer and clearer, eventually allowing him to realise it was actually someone singing. Based entirely on the tone of the voice Kenshin would guess that the singer was male, but other than that he could tell nothing...well, besides that they had a decent singing voice. The Chunin would eventually reach the small clearing that the sound was coming from, and as he entered he would make no attempts to hide his entrance, or make it any stealthier than a person walking into a clearing.
Kenshin's unique silver and red eyes would immediately find themselves drawn to the singer, scanning his body and making small notes on each feature. First note was that the man wasroughly the same height as the silver haired Chunin, although his body was actually more than a little bulkier than Kenshin's own, something that would suggest that he fought more with his body than Kenshin himself. Other than that the silver haired Chunin of Hoshigakure did not know, as the mans face was covered by the hooded cloak that he was wearing.
Once the strange singing man noticed him Kenshin would give an almost lazy, two fingred salute to the man, his deep and smooth voice flowing forth from between his pale lips mere moments after
"Yo"

His song continued to travel for a moment as he allowed himself to delve deeper and deeper into his own mind, allowing the world just briefly to slip past.. What he had found was a simple stump with a person beside it, no face to be seen as the darkness had clouded it and their body had been familiar. Golden locks were the only thing he could see through the darkness before the image disappeared and his eyes opened, the cross haired shaped items looking back up into the canopy which caused an internal sigh to escape his lips. So much had been going on and he still had some answers as to what had been going on in the past few days, but then again it was out of his control so he slowly began to stop caring about it. The forest itself was the release he so desperately needed and when captivated by its embrace it proved to be quite...therapeutic in a sense. Nothing had came from him except the singing which he had continued for some time until something had graced his ears.
For a moment he thought it was the one who had been tending to the forest earlier, but the steps didn't match unless that person grew a few inches in the past few minutes. He only continued singing until the steps were closer to the tree, his eyes peering through the hood as the singing stopped and he noticed the salute. A furrow of his brows accompanied his uncanny analysis of the person and he smiled for a moment. The scar drew him in first as he looked at it, the hood not moving as he did though there was a small resounding "Hmm" coming from the hood as he slowly drew toward his eyes. Another unique pair quite like his own and yet completely different at the same time. What mysteries did this young male have with him was the curious question and yet when the male spoke to him he stopped his initial thought and responded back," Hello there....I'm hoping you weren't called here by my singing? Usually do that when no one is around, but sense the gardener of this forest was just here I sort of just let it slide this time. Nice eyes you have there, reminds me of mine somehow," the hood would've slowly been removed as his eyes came into view and so did his facial features.
With a small lean back his body disappeared along the trunk followed by a small thud and he began to walk from behind it and was now in full view of the male. The staff he had alongside him just to his right side only to be picked up into his hand and placed on his shoulder," So what brings you out here into this nice forest? Never knew a desert could produce something like this...," his eyes were looking around just before coming back to Kenshin, wondering just what or rather who the male was. Since he had been on the ground he had noticed that the two were actually of the same height relatively speaking, though he looked a little more lean where he himself looked more...stocked? There weren't many other indications that he could pick up from the male except for the silver hair which might have been his key feature...or maybe his eyes? Either way he made note to keep an eye on him just in case. Only a few of this places ninja had been met and if he was one of them he'd definitely keep record of this meeting for future reference...or just in case he made a friend.

"Hello there...I'm hoping you weren't called here by my singing? Usually do that when nobody is around, but since the gardener of the forest was here I just sort of let it slide this time. Nice eyes you have there, reminds me of mine somehow" The man before him would say as the hood that covered his face was slowly revealed. Hmm, he wasn't exactly wrong in that statement either, the two of them both possessed rather unique looking eyes it seemed, even if said eyes were unique in completely different ways.
Kenshin honestly found himself wondering who this gardener he spoke of was, as he had yet to feel any other chakra signatures within the forest, although in a forest as large as this that was not really a surprise. He wouldn't bother to explain to the stranger who sat before him that he hadn't actually been drawn in by the mans singing or his chakra signature, this strange man just so happened to be in the same direction that he had already been walking, and he truly felt no need to alter his course simply because there was an unfamiliar person in his path.
With his face completely revealed to Kenshin the young man would begin to lean back, eventually leaning so far back that he fell from the branch that he was seated upon, his body being momentarily hidden from Kenshin by the trunk of the tree that he had previously been seated upon. This was obviously what the young man intended to do though, as the sound that came from behind the trunk of the tree was not the thud of a body hitting the ground, no, it was the sound of someone that managed to stick the landing. This theory of his was proven correct as the dark haired young man stepped out from behind the tree, the staff that had been resting on the branch beside him earlier held firmly in his right hand.
"So what brings you here into this nice forest? Never knew a desert could produce something like this..." he would say as his unique eyes trailed over the entirety of the clearing, before finally settling on the stitched and scarred form of the Chunin of Hoshi, his staff coming to rest upon his shoulder.
"Believe it or not this forest was actually not created by nature, but by a single man. He's actually a shinobi of Hoshigakure, a Senju by the name of Dusk. Honesty, there is a good chance that the gardener you saw earlier could have been he, but I can't really know for certain unless I see him" Kenshin would explain to the dark haired young man that stood before him
"And as to why I'm here...well, I find that taking walks in nature tends to help clear my mind, and as you may imagine, taking walks in nature is quite hard in a country that is mostly desert" he would then say, his answer completely truthful for once...but then again this time he had absolutely no reason to lie or give false truths.
"And what of you? Are you also here to admire the beauty of this forest that thrives in such harsh conditions?" the medical ninjutsu specialist would find himself asking. Truthfully he didn't really care about why he was here, but he figured that he may as well inquire as to why this unknown element was within the territory of Hoshi, even though he knew that the answer to said question could really be as simple as him wanting to avoid the harshest hours of the desert sun in the shade that the forest provided.

He listened to each word the male had said, his brows showing the curiosity with every word mentioned until he said that the gardener, the same one he had saw waddling through the forest sometime prior to his new friends arrival. Speaking of he had wondered how someone as small as that kid could produce something like this. He didn't know anything about the Senju or even the fact that they could raise an entire forest of this magnitude is completely mind blowing," So what you are telling me is that the little blue haired boy I saw waddling like some penguin was the one that made this entire forest? So what the Senju are some sort of tree summoners or something?," the question was rather sincere but it made him sound like someone who had been living under a rock for all these years...wait that was actually pretty accurate of him when he thought about it. He took another glance around the forest taking in the fact that a single person had made all of it. Either the male was talented or just freaking odd in another sense of the word, but he didn't have time to ponder or ask about them.
So he was here to simply walk among the nature that this forest had to offer. He couldn't fault him for that since nature was of course something the male enjoyed more than anything else, but there was something a bit...odd about all of this still. There wasn't much room to judge anyone but at least they had a somewhat non conflicting reason for being here. To be honest he had seen the forest while he had been walking toward the village with Shiori, the marvelous wonder standing tall amidst the blazing sun which had made him curious about it. The males question had certainly sparked something inside of him as he stood up a straight, more so than he had been which had shown his rather acute posture as he spoke," That and I was curious as to what it had contained. The only other forest I had been in is the one nearing Tanzaku town near the Fire Country border. This one is more...serene and quiet in a sense than that one. Plus this one has such a variety of animals inhabiting it. Only thing it is currently missing is a waterfall of sorts," a small chuckle escaped his lips as he stuck the staff into the ground and leaned slightly against it.
The male had an acute love for waterfalls mostly they were how he meditated. The swift waters often pushed all thoughts that were a detriment to him not only physically, but mentally as well. The cold water served as a conduit for cultivating himself and keeping all evil at bay. At least with the constant threat of death no longer looming over his shoulder he was quite happy about what had been going on. Mo-ri had assumed the stance of asking the male questions to get the conversation moving, or simply doing what he had usually done to garner talk from someone. Ask a generic question that would be easy to answer and keep things moving. The male had an aura of interesting around him and if he was going to "procure" some answers from him, then why not ask?
Speaking of he was quite curious about the males scarring which usually would probably get someone in trouble, but what were consequences if you didn't take them," So i've been rather curious about this, but how did you get those scars?," potential conversation opener? Or maybe the male would get irritated that he asked. He didn't seem like the type to get angry over a simple inquiry, but you couldn't always read a person perfectly. If Kenshin had actually answered his question he would go along with the conversation, of course answering anything else that the male had wanted to know depending on how he had asked them of course.

"So what you are telling me is that the little blue haired boy I saw waddling like some penguin was the one that made this entire forest? So what the Senju are some sort of tree summoners or something?" the dark haired young man would ask, his words getting a small chuckle from Kenshin
"Dusk is the only person I know in Hoshigakure with blue hair, and definitely the only person that I could see taking the time out of his day to water the trees of this forest when there's a massive lake in the heart of it that keeps the tree's watered" the red and silver eyes chunin of Hoshigakure would say in obvious amusement. He was tempted to start scouring the forest in order to find Dusk, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to find the young Senju as he wandered aimlessly through the forest, acting as the unofficial gardener of his creation.
"And to answer your other question, the Senju clan is one of the two clans that founded Konohagakure in the Land of Fire, the other being the Uchiha, in case you were wondering. And honestly...you're not too wrong in your guess. The Senju clan possess a bloodline ability known as Wood Release, and as the name suggests Wood Release gives the Senju clan the ability to create forests like this on a whim by combining Earth Release and Water Release." Kenshin would explain to the still unnamed man who stood before him. He didn't really think he needed to explain just why Wood Release was a bloodline considered to be on par with the Sharingan
Honestly Kenshin didn't really think it was strange that the young man who stood before him didn't know who or what the Senju clan actually was. He had actually met many people that didn't know of either the Senju and Uchiha clans during his years as a missing nin, and a great deal of those people were missing nin just like him. The few who did know of said clans were usually the ones who had actually faced members of either clans in combat and managed to survive, and as such the clans were spoken of with a mixture of respect and fear.
Kenshin would watch as the staff wielding man before him stood up a little straighter as he inquired as to why he was in the forest. This action would in turn cause the albino's eyes to narrow ever so slightly as he slowly slid himself into a more combat oriented stance. Unless the man had been keeping a close eye on Kenshin's stance this whole time he would more than likely just assume that the silver haired teen had just shifted in place a little. But in the case that the man had been keeping a close eye on his stance the whole time, or he had simply just noticed as Kenshin moved, he would see that Kenshin had slid both feet out a little, spreading them a little further apart, and turned his body just a touch, so that it was facing the man completely.
"That and I was curious as to what it had contained. The only other forest I had been in is the one nearing Tanzaku town near the Fire Country border. This one is more...serene and quiet in a sense than that one. Plus this one has such a variety of animals inhabiting it. The only thing it is currently missing is a waterfall of sorts" the man would say with a small chuckle. He would take the staff that he resting on his shoulder and stick the end into the ground, before leaning forward and allowing the staff to hold him up.
"So I've been rather curious about this, but how did you get those scars?" he would ask, no doubt asking about the visible scar on his face. No matter which outfit he wore there were only two scars on his body that were noticeable, the one on his face, and the one that went completely around his neck. All of the others had been healed by his Mystical Palm jutsu when he had first pledged allegiance to Hoshigakure, and while scars could never truly be healed, they at least healed to the point that they had faded into his snow white skin.
But perhaps he was talking about the stitched cuts that would have been visible if Kenshin's arms were visible, because I just realised that I had never even described what the fuck Kenshin was wearing for this topic, so Jaye can go ahead and say whether or not what Kenshin was wearing had sleeves. If Kenshin was wearing an outfit with sleeves then he would be asking about the scar on his face, and Kenshin would answer as followed
"I got this beauty here from a former Samurai that tried to rob me back in Waterfall Country around three years ago. In the end I won the fight, but I was damned lucky that I didn't lose the eye." the scar faced teen would say as he trailed his hand lightly over the portion of the scar that went through over his left eye. This story was of course a complete lie, but there would be no way for anyone other than Kenshin himself to know that.
If on the other hand Kenshin was not wearing an outfit with sleeves, he would come to the conclusion that the man with the unique eyes was asking about the stitched cuts that covered his arms.
"Heh. I got sliced up pretty badly by a former Samurai a few days ago on a mission. As you can probably guess from how many stitches I was given I am pretty lucky to be alive. Hell, I can barely feel my arms anymore, nerve damage if what the docs say is true. Good and bad I guess, no pain, but nothing else either. Still work just fine though, so that's something at least" Kenshin would say, once more lying to the young man who he was conversing with
He saw absolutely no reason to answer these questions truthfully. He didn't know the guy, nor were they comrades, and besides, even if the two of them were comrades Kenshin was not the type of person to just start talking about his past with just anyone.
He had made that mistake with Arashi...and he regretted being so forthcoming with the Tekiatsu more than words could ever hope to describe...ugh, just thinking of how naive he had been when he first joined Hoshigakure made him feel more than a little nauseous

"Dusk is the only person I know in Hoshigakure with blue hair, and definitely the only person that I could see taking the time out of his day to water the trees of this forest when there's a massive lake in the heart of it that keeps the tree's watered"
Well then. Mo-ri was more than reluctant to go off that little tidbit, but if the male was the one to have created this massive forest then he could also maintain it in the same merit. Still it had been a major achievement to just create this massive forest all on his own, and judging from his size when the male had only seen him prior he was pretty young. That made Mo-ri a little more concerned, not for himself but for the growth if that boy had continued a ninja life. It was more amazing that he took the time to treat each tree with care and water them was actually a feat above caring. Even if it was his creation he was doing more than what most did to normal nature so he might've been inclined to thank the male the next time he had saw him.
The male made mental notes about the Senju and where they had been from, even going so far as probably going to Konoha to do some research. If the trip was worth it after all he wouldn't have minded going, but for now intervillage traveling for him wouldn't be anytime soon. He still had much to do with his time and most of that would be...lazing about probably. Then again he could go about and visit this place's library some civvies were talking about yesterday or the day before...whichever one had him wandering about the village. His eyes made clear however when the male had changed his standing position, at least he didn't make it known that he had seen him do it and instead he played it off as him reacting to the male standing up straight. If he was trying to start a fight Mo-ri would of course watch the field and act accordingly but from how he changed his standing it was more in anticipation of if he attacked.
He didn't bring it up nor would he unless something had happened and would remain leaning against the staff as in took in more of the males features. Now wasn't exactly the time to fight but something had been tickling Mo-ri's curious sensor for sometime. At least the male answered his question and smiled just for a moment of course to the statement about being lucky he didn't lose an eye," More like lucky you didn't lose the left side of your face. Unless he was sloppy or just used the tip it looks like he barely grazed you. Then again...if it was more than half the blades length to your face, you might have lost more than that. I know first hand how..up close swords can be sometimes," To make the point he brought his left hand just over his own head, just brushing over the tips of his hair.
Something had truly been a little off with the story, but if the male had been lying it was either for a good reason or he just didn't want to talk about it. Either way he had gotten an answer from the male which had sated his curiosity about one of the scars...but now the others? A small quirk of his brow caused him to stand upright for just a moment just only to settle back onto the staff and smiled," Seems like you've had quite the stroke of luck with samurai's. If they've gotten close enough to strike you like that i'd hate to see how they looked after the fact. Though those swords must've been made with something unique to mess your face up that bad," he blinked for a moment and shook his head," Don't mean to pry or anything just scars tell a story is all and i've come to listen to many of them during my travels. People sure can survive quite a bit if they're sturdy...or built a certain way," his words eluded to something more, but it wasn't anything blatant.
The more he stared at the stitching's for small moments the more he had wondered just...what was truth and what wasn't. The key was finding out without irritating the male. His stance meant he was comfortable with fighting at such close ranges, but if his hunch was correct then maybe...he had found someone like him? An inner smile formed inside of his mind at the revels of finding another who couldn't die or the lack thereof, but if he was wrong? Well he could live with that honestly. Just for the moment he pondered on things himself unless the male in front of him had said anything that snapped him of this singular train of thought. Actually he stopped just for a moment to take in his surroundings once more, eyes focused on the Albino in front of him. Rule of thumb was to never take your eyes from one who could do you harm, for if they could...they would.
At least that was how he had saw things in this world. Being impaled, skewered and in one odd instance chained to to a bed with his lower half missing his "trust" in people had been very....diminished for quite a bit. A seemingly weird look at this would be if they did get along and he tried to kill him later on he could laugh it off and poke fun at the male later, but that was...an odd way of looking at things. At the peak of it all he just settled all of the irrational thoughts as just figuring out the male so they he could move forward in the conversation unless they ended up scrapping...then let the fun begin. At any rate he sat silent for a few moments more before changing his position yet again to get comfortable and smiled," Figured while we are just sitting chatting might as well exchange names. Mo-ri is mine, though I am guessing you've seen more than your fair share of combat if that scars are anything to go off of."

Re: Who Believes in Immortality? [Kenshin]

Well, it seemed that Kenshin was wearing clothing without sleeves, and as such he would give the story about the stitches all down his arms being the work of a former samurai he had a run in with only a few days ago. As he told the story though the unnamed male would simply raise a brow...hmm, maybe he could tell that Kenshin was lying, and simply wasn't going to pry any further...something that the silver haired Chunin would appreciate, if that was the case anyway
"Seems like you've had quite the stroke of luck with Samurai. If they've gotten close enough to strike you like that I'd hate to see how they looked after the fact.Though those swords must have been made with something unique to mess your face up that bad" he would say, something that caused one of Kenshin's own brows to rise slightly. There shouldn't really be any way for this strange man to know that he has superhuman levels of durability, he hadn't mentioned it in his little tale, nor had he actually had a fight with this person at any point...hmm, how strange
He would watch the male blink and shake his head, almost like he was trying to clear his thoughts.
"Don't mean to pry or anything just scars tell a story is all and I've come to listen to many of them during my travels. People sure can survive quite a bit if they're sturdy...or built in a certain way." he would say, something that caused Kenshin's silver eyes to narrow dangerously. This man, did he somehow know that Kenshin's body was so different to that of others...had he perhaps encountered other carriers of the Earth Grudge Fear in the past. If so then this strange man was an unknown variable in his plans, a wildcard...and the silver haired young man did not like wildcards at all. Perhaps he would need to remove this particular card from play, but first he would find out some more about him and what he may know. After-all, there was no point in killing him if he truly didn't know anything.
He would watch as the male seemed to shift in place a little, although it seemed like he was focussed more on finding a comfortable position than getting ready for combat. It was for that reason that Kenshin himself would shift subtly, leaving his combat ready stance for one focussed more on relaxation...besides, it's not like Kenshin really needed to be in a certain stance to react to any attacks, he was not exactly a close quarters figher. When the man seemed to find the right stance he would shoot a small grin over at Kenshin, earning a small smirk from the albino himself.
"Figured while we are just sitting and chatting we might as well exchange names. Mo-ri is mine, though I am guessing that you've seen more than your fair share of combat if those scars are anything to go by" the man would say, finally giving a name for Kenshin to put with the Chakra Signature, Mo-ri.
"Yeah, combat kinda comes with the headband" Kenshin would say as he gestured to the Hoshi headband that he was using almost like a belt...over the top of his actual belt.
"And it's nice to meet you Mo-ri, my name is Kenshin" the medic would say, giving his real name since he saw no real harm coming from the guy learning it.
"I do have a question though Mo-ri, earlier you said something about me being built a certain way, what exactly did you mean by that?" Kenshin would ask in a seemingly innocent and slightly confused tone. In actuality the heart thief was ready and waiting to strike if the man answered in a way that he deemed to be dangerous to his plans...in other words, he would be ready to strike in case the dark haired young man knew too much.

The headband.
The males eyes slowly moved downward toward the area where he had motioned to it, small curious noises coming from the corners of his lips as he smiled for a moment," Never seen a village headband so pristine..Definitely something worthy of being proud of that is for sure. I wonder if vagabonds like myself could get one of these nice things...then again where would I wear it," a small chuckle escaped his lips as his eyes went back to the male. For some reason his stance on the current meeting of the two had been a little...biased? Though yes he had caught the male in a combative stance and yes certain things made him weary but yet in the end here he was seeing where the cards would land him. Of course this male could have easily dispatched him and went along with his day, but he would surely see Mo-ri again and he didn't mean the afterlife.
"Hm?"
The male listened to the question for a moment and thought about how to correctly tackle this situation. Of course he could be a little scientific with it or he could just give an answer so satisfactory that he might even confuse the male. For a second he thought of what answer to give Kenshin before he just shrugged," I've been around long enough to see some really weird things. Friends of mine were put through things that brought out the ...different in people I guess you could say. There are many things in this world that are...weird or downright unnatural but... Eh. Truth be told I just know what its like to take a blade to the...everything and still be up and about to tell the tale. So what I meant was maybe.. even "possibly" there could be some small change that you share similar qualities to myself," the answer came out as he watched the male waiting for the bodily reaction, not the one in his eyes. Of course this could have also meant that the male might have accepted the answer as truth and left it be.

The scar faced teen would watch as the dark haired young man’s eyes went down to the headband that he had been gesturing to mere moments before. A small smirk would be plastered on his face as he heard the noises of curiosity that came from the other unique eyed man, before a small smile appeared on said man’s face.
"Never seen a village headband so pristine... definitely something to be proud of that is for sure. I wonder if vagabonds like myself could get one of these nice things... then again where would I wear it." the vagabond would say with a light chuckle, getting one in return from Kenshin who would simply shrug his shoulders in response. The silver haired teen was most definitely not the right person to be asking for fashion tips and he knew it.
"While I may not know where you can wear it should you get your hands on one, I do know how you could gain one." he would say with the same slightly amused smile on his face.
"Hoshi, unlike most villages, is pretty accepting of vagabonds, be they Wanderers or Missing Nin. So long as you agree to follow the village’s rules and laws it would be a pretty simple matter for you to gain one of these shiny headbands." he would then say with a light chuckle of his own. He wasn't lying, Hoshi truly was one of the most accepting villages that he had come across in his travels, something that both pleased and displeased him. It pleased him because, as a former missing nin, he was glad to see that not all of the villages persecuted them. But he was displeased because in his opinion the village was too accepting... which was amusing when one thought about it, as if the village had been less accepting then he may not even be a shinobi of Hoshi.
Of course, at this point Kenshin would ask the seemingly innocent question that was mentioned in my previous post, in the exact same way as noted in the last post.
"I've been around long enough to see some really strange things. Friends of mine were put through things that brought out the... different in people, I guess you could say. So what I meant was maybe...even "possibly" there could be some small chance that you share similar qualities to myself." the man would say in response to the question.
Hmm... the mans answer did make sense, and perhaps he had met some members of the Tau clan in the past, thus giving him knowledge of Kenshin's rather unique body. Now, if that truly was the case, then the man could go and spread the information around, thus robbing Kenshin of one of his trump cards... but thankfully, the man seemed to be quite secretive in his own right, and thus he was quite unlikely to start spreading this information around, if he did in fact possess said knowledge it. It was for that reason, and that reason alone, that Kenshin would not attempt to kill the strange eyed man.
"Heh, yeah, I guess you could say I've taken a blade to everything and stayed standing" the stitched and scarred medic would say with a chuckle, gazing down at his heavily stitched arms as he did so. He wasn't really lying about that either, he had been strapped to a table for two years as two insane men performed experiment upon experiment on him, and many of said experiments included scalpels and the like.
"Well, It was nice meeting you Mo-ri, but I gotta get going. Can only take so much time outta my day for nature walks" Kenshin would say as he turned away from the dark haired young man. As he casually walked away he would raise his right hand and give a small wave over his shoulder.
Mo-ri would live... for now anyway. Only time would truly tell whether or not this particular wild card would be a threat to his plans.
And if he was, Kenshin would waste no time in removing said card from play.
