Kenshin needs a spar

Kenshin slowly entered the training grounds as he did every now and then, smelling the scent on the breeze he would sigh. "I suppose I should wait for another shinobi to arrive and challenge them, I have not had a good battle in a very long time". Slowly he sat down as the sound of crunching grass came from underneath him, the day was warm and sunny and it was possibly perfect as any day to battle a fierce opponent truly worthy of a member of the Uchiha clan.

What opponent could be more fitting than another Uchiha? Kenzo followed only a few steps behind Kenshin. The two males stepped in unison with each other, crushing the brittle leaves beneath their foot with every small step they toke. Kenzo's steps were much smaller than Kenshin's, so the distance between himself and Kenshin began to grow with every stride. Calmly, Kenzo continued to follow, though it seemed that his brother was leaving him behind. The last crunch of grass that Ken-shin heard should have been the crunch from the moment when he toke a seat, but that crunching continued from behind him as Kenzo continued stepping forward. Kenzo approached, dressed in a black long-sleeve shirt and a black pair of sweatpants. His weapons pouch was attached to his body, so that it would be positioned on his right butt cheek. Kenzo's halted, and stared at Kenshin, knowing that the seated male would be able to sense Kenzo's presence, unless the scented breeze of wind, which blew those black strands of hair atop Kenzo's head to the left, had successfully hid the sounds emanating from Kenzo's feet. That was highly unlikely.

Slowly turned his head to stare at Kenzo after hearing the crunching of leaves even after he had sat down. He knew his new little brother would likely be more of a challenge than most, and he needed that at this moment. Pushing off of the ground with his arms he landed on his feet and turned to face Kenzo directly. He was looking Kenzo over carefully, spotting any differences he could in his clothing or equipment that he did not have before. As the light breeze continued his hair fluttered to the side and his cloak rippled with the wind, it was a perfect moment to commence a battle and Kenshin would not waste it.

Crouching down slightly he brought his right hand to his left shoulder, gripping the cloth of his cloak and ripping it off in one clean motion and tossing it directly at Kenzo's face to distract and blind him of his own movements for a short time. Using this chance he would take two long strides to close the gap between him and the boy before planting his left foot down as a firm base. Raising his right foot into the air he twisted his body to the left to be horizontal with Kenzo and kick him in the stomach, hoping this would knock him off balance for his next assault.

If accomplished he would bring his right foot down, closer to Kenzo so he could twist his ankle as he thrust his left fist towards his brothers face with as much momentum and strength he could conjure up from his large frame. Assuming everything went according to plan he would hop backwards three times to gain a distance of exactly four meters as to stay out of range of any low level jutsu Kenzo could plan on using.

Indeed, Kenzo was blinded, but so was Kenshin. What was the point of Kenshin throwing the cloak when it would put them both at an equal disadvantage? Hopefully, a boy as big as Kenshin was not looking down. Kenzo did not pause or falter. Was that what was expected? He toke one swift step forward, and left his feet. He did not jump or hop. Kenzo slid into something like a soccer tackle beneath the falling cloak, hoping that gravity, and wind resistance, would bring the light object down slow enough for him to pass beneath it while the falling action of the cloak provided an excellent cover for him. Kenzo's left foot was deliberately extended with hopes of crashing into Kenshin's foot, throwing him off balance, but this would be an unlikely occurrence since Kenshin had lifted the leg Kenzo aimed to hit. This did not matter, for, upon seeing Kenshin's new position Kenzo's right leg would extended forward, aiming to kick Kenshin in the side of his left knee with enough force to dislocate the leg at the knee joint.

Would not be played so easily by such a simple maneuver, seeing how he would have to come close enough to actually reach Kenshin's left knee, which was farther away than the right leg that he had extended outwards. Using his obvious size to the advantage he would watch as Kenzo slid underneath the cloak and displayed himself openly to any counter attack Kenshin wished due to him being nearly flat on his back. Waiting for the moment Kenzo got within range he would flex his calf muscles and attempt to hop slightly into the air so that as Kenzo kicked torwards his knee it would not be locked in place on the ground and be able to get dislocated without a much larger force than what Kenzo's tiny body would allow. As his left leg was kicked as he was in the air he began spinning forward somewhat from the momentum carried over from Kenzo's strike. And as this happened he used his right leg, which was still in the air from his previous kick to attempt a heavy stomp from mid air to Kenzo's chest as he slid by.

Of course th kick would not be nearly as powerful as intended due to his legs not being long enough to proceed with a full stomp, more of a heavy tap with the tips of his toes more than anything. As Kenzo continued to slide, Kenshin would continue allowing his body to go forward and over his little brother until he brought his left leg forward to plant on the ground where he would stumble a few more steps before stopping. Spinning on his heels he would face Kenzo again with only a slight pain in his upper calf from Kenzo's kick, ready to continue their fight.

Kenzo's hands were purposely not used in this motion. He knew he would need them. Kenzo's arms were swung across his body to knock Kenshin's incoming right leg away from Kenzo's chest, which shouldn't be too hard considering Kenshin had no means of bracing himself. This would rotate Kenshin's body, causing him to fall on his back or side instead of his feet. Kenzo would slide forward only a few more feet before rising to a stand, and turning to face his older brother.

would simply extend both of his arms outwards as his brother spun him around with his arms to catch himself in a somersault position where he would just continue with the motion to land back on his feet, turning to face Kenzo. With a smirk on his face, he knew he finally found somebody who could actually match his taijutsu and was excited about such a development in such a young boy. Crouching slightly he would jump backwards four times to get exactly six meters away from Kenzo and stand up straight to speak with him, still keeping his eyes fixed on the boys movements.

"You seem to have exceptional skill child, I should have expected as much from an Uchiha. But, I see one major weakness in your taijutsu that I intend to exploit".

Kenshin bent his knees to a perfect 45 degree angle before sprinting towards Kenzo in a zig-zag patter to try and trick his eyes with which direction his attack would truly be coming from. Once within combat range he would stop with his right foot forward and throw a jab for Kenzo's face, but at the same time reach for the center of his chest to grip his shirt with his other hand, using his left leg simultaneously with his other movements, attempting to wrap it around one of his legs and yank backwards as he pushed him off balance with the hand he gripped Kenzo's shirt with. If successful it would likely be an easy strike with his jab due to the multiple things happening at once.

Kenzo watched as Kenshin moved. Every movement seemed to be planned to throw off Kenzo's game. Impressive. Kenzo had to admit, but how long would this go on? Kenzo had no intentions of losing his footing, but it seems that was not within his control at the moment. His small body would only allow him to do so much, due to the lack of training, but Kenzo could only rely on himself. There was no secondary power he could call upon to fight his battles, as if he would. He did all that he had to do alone, including fighting his brother. This spar wasn't just about training, or testing his Kenshin. Kenzo expected Kenshin to be capable because he was an Uchiha, but Kenzo had to prove himself. Kenzo was much younger than Kenshin. At Kenzo's age a boy was expected to be at least somewhat incompetent, helpless even. This battle was to show Kenshin that Kenzo was worthy.

Kenzo waited until Kenshin grew close, and, after Kenshin thrusts both hands in the direction of his younger brother, Kenzo shifts his arm into a horizontal position, and lifts his arm high to deflect both of Kenshin's hands skyward at once. Kenzo bent his knee's slightly, attempting to lower his head to lessen the chance of the arms making contact with his body. Kenzo's right leg was suddenly being pulled towards Kenshin, but Kenzo would not simply allow his leg to be pulled from under him! Kenzo resisted the pull of Kenshin's leg with the strength of Kenzo's own leg. Now, there would be an opening! Kenzo would see that opening, and thrust his left hand forward with every intention of smashing his fist into Kenshin's gut -which would likely knock the wind of of him, and send him falling backwards onto his butt, due to lacking the proper footing.

would indeed have his hands knocked higher than intended, having his jab completely miss and his attempt to grab Kenzo pass just above his shoulder. Seeing how Kenzo was fighting back and knew he was open for an attack he only had one option. A mutual strike it would have to be if any, as Kenzo's fist came towards Kenshin's gut he would use the hand that has passed over Kenzo's shoulder to grasp him by the back of his head, specifically by his hair. Pulling downwards he intended for Kenzo's head to be tilted backwards, exposing his face more for an easier strike. At this moment Kenzo would make contact with Kenshin but not knock him over as he intended due to his leg being locked in with Kenzo's and now the grip he had on his little brothers hair. Sadly however there was an intense pain that made Kenshin grunt before coughing heavily, likely into Kenzo's exposed face to be exact.

Hoping he could hold on just a little longer he would bring his head backwards as far as he could stretch it as he held Kenzo's own head in place by the grip he had on his hair and brought his head forward. Using the part of his skull that was around his hairline, which was known to be the thickest part he would smash it into Kenzo's face with as much force as possible to cause as much damage as possible. Only moments after contact he could no longer hold onto Kenzo and released him from his leg lock and the grasp he had on his hair and began falling backwards onto his back. With the damage he suspected he would have done with such an attack he expected the fragile brother to fall as well.

As he hit the ground he knew he could not simply lay there for any time and quickly rolled backwards and onto one knee where he began breathing heavily from losing so much air in his lungs from Kenzo's punch. Looking up at him he suspected to see a once clean face that belonged to Kenzo to now be dripping with blood due to his head smashing into his face, well known to be a sensative area.

No! He didn't! He did! This motherfucker grabbed Kenzo by his hair! NOBODY TOUCHES THE GODDAMN HAIR! Such an act was taboo by any and all members of society, not because Kenzo held a particular dislike for something, but because his mother had also had long hair. His hair symbolized the relationship between his mother, and each strand was a sacred relic kept in honor of Kenzo's mother. The boy worshiped her like a Kenzo's right arm retracted as his left hand fired forward towards the second weak spot he could see. That was Kenshin's throat. When Kenshin lifted his head Kenzo could see the weak spot clearly, thus, Kenshin's throat was the target for Kenzo's next punch! Kenshin would likely not see this since...

The force of Kenzo's punch alone would be enough to shut Kenshin's wind-pipe. Kenshin slamming his head forward only made things worst. Usually, Kenzo could not bring himself to launch such a cheap attack, but he was pissed. Their legs continued to strain against each other as Kenzo launched the punch. If the attack connected, Kenzo's left arm would retract as he fired his right fist towards Kenshin's face! Then Kenzo's right arm would retract as he fired his left fist towards Kenshin's face! This cycle would continue until the older bastard either let go, or was incapacitated...
