would have likely been struck by Kenzo's punch to his throat if not for a few obvious reasons. To begin, Kenshin began pulling back his head for the headbutt at the same time he pulled Kenzo's hair to make him look upwards for an easier spot to hit. Continuing on that fact he would have been moving his head downwards and not horizontally for the attack due to the massive height deference between them, making a punch to the throat very unlikely due to Kenzo literally having to punch through Kenshin's head to make it to his throat.

Sadly however Kenzo's strike would still land at the center of Kenshin's forehead, causing him to rock backwards and release his grip on Kenzo's leg and hair. As the consecutive punches came he was slightly dazed and was struck by the first. This made his head rock to the side and as the second one came he had to do no more than crouch down to avoid the second strike to his face. As he did so he would begin to pivot on his right foot to spin around with his left leg outstretched in an attempt to hit Kenzo on his ankle and cause him to tumble over onto his side, likely a rather easy move due to the momentum of a punch almost always carrying the person along with it slight, thus throwing them off balance ever so slightly. He did the to give himself time to retreat to as safe ten meter distance with a series of backward hops and wipe his face of the small trail of blood that lead from his lip to his chin. He seemed to be getting more of a fight out of this boy than intended and was not quite sure he would actually be able to defeat him without the use of ninjutsu.

Kenzo grinded his molars together as the knuckles on both his hands reddened from the impact of the punches he threw: one punch from Kenzo's left, which collided with Kenshin's forehead, slightly dazing Kenshin; and a second punch from Kenzo's right, which collided rather forcefully with Kenshin's face, busting Kenshin's lip. Kenzo felt the familiar pain from that one even where he had been training in Konoha's Training Grounds. Any average eight year old would have likely swiftly have forfeited the entire sparring match upon feeling the slightly uncomfortable sensation in their knuckles, but Kenzo was not the average. In fact, Kenzo was anything, but average. His remarkable self-discipline, natural aptitude for anything combat-related, and undying desire to become better, faster, and stronger than the day before, had undoubtably placed Kenzo on a whole other level than other other eight year old "children". Hopefully, Kenshin could see that now, for Kenzo did not appreciate being labeled as a "child" by Kenshin the day they met. Yes, Kenzo remembered that.

Suddenly, the third punch thrown by Kenzo from Kenzo's right hand had missed, barely gliding past the left side of Kenshin's head, and Kenshin, who had unlnowing direspected Kenzo by gripping the small males hair, released Kenzo's hair! Thank the heaven's! Now Kenzo was free to move his head, and he tilted his head lower to follow the movements of his slightly dazed opponent. Kenzo could feel the resistance of Kenshin's leg; Kenzo continued to pull back, but Kenzo wasn't pulling on Kenshin's leg to simply match the male. No! Kenzo was applying resistance in hopes of doing to Kenshin what Kenshin was attempting to do to him: yank backwards with his foot as he pushed him off balance with his hands. When Kenshin's foot extended itself, Kenzo had begun to believe that he was successful in throwing Kenshin off balance, since remaining standing on one foot was a rather difficult task to complete without something to lean on. True, the momentum from Kenzo's punch did carry him forward towards Kenshin. It was also true that Kenzo was off balance and slightly falling forward, but, like anyone would, Kenzo's reached for anything to support himself with... Anything! Was there anything that Kenzo could grab, and hold onto in order to keep his balance? As Kenshin's leg came towards Kenzo's ankle Kenzo would use his right hand, the hand that has passed over Kenshin's shoulder to grasp Kenshin by the back of his head. Kenzo would hop off of ground using only the foot of his that was still grounded, while attempting to reach over, and grab the back of Kenshin's head with Kenzo's other hand as well, but whether he could, or couldn't Kenzo would do the same thing. Kenzo would pull down with the hand(s) that was / were latched onto the back of Kenzo's head, and pull Kenshin's head down -which shouldn't be too hard considering Kenshin was standing on one foot, and Kenshin had been crouching down, thus lowering his overall height- as Kenzo drove his own knee skyward towards Kenshin's face, using the forward momentum of his own body to his own adavantage. Kenzo had already knocked the wind out of Kenshin, dazed Kenshin with a punch, and busted the males lip. Kenzo hoped that this blow would be the final one to force Kenshin to fall onto his back! If Kenzo's rising knee made contact with Kenshin's face then Kenzo would release Kenshin from his grasp, allowing the male to fall as Kenzo landed on his feet before the male.

Kenshin would not be so simply played by Kenzo's attack, seeing him hop over his initial strike was possibly the exact movement he had hoped for. Seeing as how he was falling backwards and Kenzo was going towards him with force and was in the air he would use this to his advantage rather than going into a panic and being hit. Raising his left hand he would thrust it upwards to grasp Kenzo's forearm as he attempted to go over his shoulder and grab the back of his head. Pushing the arm up higher due to him having much more leverage due to him being on the ground still, this would not be of much difficulty to him.

Watching Kenzo closely he would deduce the situation once more and react to the knee that was intended to collide with his face. Using Kenzo's own momentum to his advantge he would bring his right arm forward to grip the knee that was meant to hit him and continue falling backwards as he pulled Kenzo over top and past him with the arm he was holding. As the happened he guided the majority of his body over him with the knee he was grasping and tossed him as far behind him as possible before landing on his back. Not wanting to be an easy target he rolled to his stomach and pushed himself onto one knee and let out a long breath of relief. "I had suspected it would come to this, but, the fact a child could stand so firmly against me in taijutsu is laughable".

Kenzo gasped as he was suddenly tossed over Kenshin. The sudden change of momentum caused Kenzo's body to flip forward, for a moment, it seemed that Kenzo would have landed on his head, but that momentum flipped him forward. Kenzo landed on his upper back, unwillingly rolling forward before his heels hit the ground rather hard. He too rolled onto his stomach, and slowly rose to a stand. Sweat drenched Kenzo's clothing, leaving dark spots in his shirt around his chest, armpits, and back. His hair stuck to his face in a puzzle like fashion. Something about Kenzo had changed, and one could see it by looking into his eyes. Those eyes, that usually held no emotion, had been displaying a fierce look. This was not a look of determination.

The arch of Kenzo's eyebrows; the wrinkles upon Kenzo's countenance; the teeth that Kenzo bared towards Kenshin as though Kenzo were a rabid dog... These things fully expressed his rage and anomosity. That belligerent expression had resulted from the lingering pain in his head from the sacred strands of hair being pulled. As mentioned before, each strand was a relic in honor of the deity that was Kenzo's mother. She was his everything. Again, and again, Kenzo was reminded that his mother was the only person in this world that mattered to him, and the fact that Kenshin had been the one to do this angered Kenzo enough to make him blow a gasket. There was no one else; not even his "brother" that stood before him mattered. There was once a time when someone else had mattered... Kenzo's father.

Again Kenzo was reminded of the day that he own oversized father died because of Kenzo. The fat fuck had died in the boy's arms! This was the reason why Kenzo had no one left, but his mother. That very moment was the event that influence all of Kenzo's actions from that day forward! Those small hands curled into balls as the memory of the prolonged eyes contact between his father's corpse, and himself replayed in his mind... It seemed to last forever, but it was only a few seconds before a single tear fell from Kenzo's right eye. He was panting heavily. His back straightened with every inhale, and arched forward with every exhale. It was then that he blinked... When his eyes opened again those dark irides had turned red, and a single "Tomeo" was present in within that red. It was the Sharingan! Swiftly, Kenzo's right arm was extended to the left. He swung that arm across his body from the left, too the right as called out to Kenshin.

"If you ever pull my hair again, I'll cut off your hand!"

Kenzo could take a punch to the face, or even a hit in the chest, but to have his hair pulled was both a sign of disrespect, and was a womanly way to do battle. Never would Kenzo allow it to be done to him without a strong comeback. By comeback, I don't mean a retort. Describing the torture and pain Kenzo would put his opponent through as he ripped them apart nail by nail, inch by inch of flesh, then limb by limb before delivering the final blow would be as sick and ineffable as describing how a father could beat then impregnate his own 9 year old daughter. There would only be one warning.

Kenshin stayed on one knee as he let out a long breath of relief not being in such close combat with Kenzo anymore. Looking down at the ground he would think of his next plan of action before he heard the girlish screams of Kenzo. The high pitched noise coming from him was highly annoying to Kenshin so he burst his head up to look him in the eyes. What he saw was a complete surprise to him, the boy had unlocked the sharingan due to such a trivial matter? He did not know if this was something to see as aptitude towards the ways of the clan or a display of how childish and weak Kenzo actually was.

Either way, Kenshin would not be out done by a mere child and decided upon activating his own sharingan and coming at him with the full force of his ninjutsu and taijutsu. With a smirk on his face, keeping eye contact with Kenzo to the last point until he slowly shut his eyes. "Now, we can begin the true test of our skill. With our visual prowess!". His eyes shot open as his iris had changed to a crimson red and a single tomoe hand in the bottom right corner of each eye. Preforming a single hand sign he would flow chakra throughout his body to increase his movement speed before launching himself up from the ground and towards Kenzo.

He was aiming for the moment Kenzo's eyes had not fully adjusted to the new vision he was now seeing through. Do to that instant change in vision his visual perception would likely be weak for the first few seconds of the sharingan being activated. Moving at such an intense speed he closed the gap between them in an instant. Using his last stride to push himself into the air slightly he aimed to knee Kenzo in the chest and throw him off balance. As this was happening he unsheathed the katana on his left him in a reverse grip with his left hand.

Bringing the sword out aiming the end of the hilt towards Kenzo's chin he hoped to knock his brother off his feet in his dazed state from the first attack. If successful he would lnad back on the ground only a few feet away from where Kenzo landed and faced him. Holding his katana in the same reverse grip that he had unsheathed it in he stared into his eyes and smiled. It was unlike Kenshin to even show emotion in his face, let alone smile towards an opponent. The thrill to him was to great, fighting with an opponent who had unlocked their sharingan just as he had before.

The test of the sharingans capabilities were pushed to the limit in battles like these and where true shinobi shined. He curled his toes and gripped the hilt even tighter as he awaited Kenzo's retaliation with enthusiasm for what was to come of this spar.

Kenzo's eyes were wide open, yet something seemed to be wrong with his vision. Something that he didn't quite understand. What he saw made his leg muscles twitch. From Kenzo's point of view, Kenshin's feet were surrounded in a blue aura. Did Kenshin gain a new power? Kenzo had no time to think as the form of a man that was present within his view had begun to move. The form of a human was getting closer and closer, but Kenzo still could not make out it's movements. Those small legs tensed up with knees bent. What should he do now?

Visual prowess...

Kenzo couldn't tell exactly what Kenshin was doing, but he knew that the male had come close. When the humanoid figure (Kenshin) became large enough, meaning when he got close enough, Kenzo would kick off the ground. High enough the evade the knee, but also high enough to move his hip into the range of the hilt of Kenshin's blade. This would probably leave a bruise, but if it did make contact, and Kenshin chose not to pull back, Kenzo's feet were already ripping through the air with all the speed Kenzo could muster and every intention of crashing into Kenshin's chest to drop kick the male and push off simultaneously. One could not simply stop when approaching with the haste of a cheetah after an antelope, and were airborne with no wings to flap about, could they? Their close proximity almost ensured a direct hit, that and the fact that Kenshin had chosen to approach Kenzo with such speed, but one could never be so sure; however, the strike would leave Kenshin a bit breathless, such as Kenzo himself, and likely knock Kenshin onto his back. Of course, if the strike if the soles of Kenzo's feet did land and Kenzo managed to push off, Kenzo would be able to somersault into a standing position as Kenshin fell through the air, though Kenzo would, with one hand immediately reach, to hold onto his side. Kenshin had definitely left a bruise.

Kenzo's eyes hand finally been brought to focus as he flipped through the air. Not only were those eyes focused, but the Sharingan had greatly enhanced Kenzo's visual and depth perception. Each blade of grass in the area had been shifting side to side beautifully at the command of the wind. All the beauty of nature, and other wonderful sights to behold that Kenzo had not noticed had come to him in a moments notice. It was too bad that it was going to be burned away...

The boy did not plan on being so simply dodged and was not planning to lose this fight, even if Kenzo had unlocked his sharingan, Kenshin still had more experience and usage of the dojutsu. As Kenzo jumped into the air and attempted to thrust his feet into his chest, Kenshin would lower his strike, aiming to make contact with the bottom of his brother feet with the end of his hilt. Instead of being harmed they would both simply deflect off one another. Being pushed into the ground by the force of the kick the grass beneath his feet ripped out of the dirt and a small shroud of dust covered his body.

Emerging within seconds, hoping to catch Kenzo as he was just landing he through his katana at him as if it were a javelin. Expecting him to dodge he continued forward, proceeding with the tiger seal he inhaled a mass amount of air, molding it inside his lungs for use. Once within a single meter of Kenzo he parted his lips and blew a mass of flames from his lips directly towards the child in hopes he would go into the air as a first and easiest escape route he would follow. Attempting to slam his fist into the boy's face and send him flying in the opposite direction. If successful, Kenshin would land on the ground with an intense look on his face, he wanted more out of his little brother.
