New Kid (Sithis)

Salzem's temper was short that day. The business of the criminals seemed to be slowing down, or at least, that of the unprofessional ones. Maybe that was because he killed them. He didn't know. Maybe they were afraid to go out and steal from his pack. Then he had served his purpose and in place of his purpose was an unending stream of annoying, difficult to sate boredom. Salzem prowled through the village on all fours, not giving two ryo how the villagers looked at his wolven form. He was something much better than they were and needed not to feel disturbed under their gaze or opinions. A few things about his old life however, almost made him long for it. He missed the closeness he had with Kira. She wouldn't accept him the way he was now. Not in this twisted form. At the thought of his friend, Salzem's eyes became moist. He had convinced himself that she wouldn't even look at him the same anymore. It wasn't like he needed that much convincing in that regard. He was a wolf, they were humans. Humans are afraid of the wolves. They feared and hated them, so they feared and hated him. Kira, the only human that seemed to matter to him, probably hated and feared him now too if she could see him now...
He missed chowing down at the local food establishments, not being stared at like a monster whenever he passed by. His nature had become a lot more violent, sure and maybe he was a bit more bloodied than other ninja, but he couldn't have been the weirdest thing to pass through here. Salzem kept telling himself not to care, that he was on a different plane than those fools and yet.... The corners of Salzem's lip's quivered. He watched as a woman closed a window as he passed by. He saw the expression she wore when she saw him: fear and disgust. It took up a lot of his thought, that incident... They saw him as a monster as if that was all he was. He was being treated like he was a Jinchuriki or something.... Salzem wasn't something like that... was he? The 7 foot white werewolf continued his way through the village, trying not to make eye contact with the villagers, not wanting to see the faces of those he protected.

With his enhanced sense of smell, hearing and general awareness of his surroundings, the kid behind him didn't get far before Salzem noticed he was heading his way. Salzem didn't even turn back or bother to acknowledge the human, hoping he would just leave him alone before Salzem lost his temper. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be, as the kid came right up behind him, asking without a care in the world if he always walked on his four paws. In retort, Salzem said nothing and continued to paw forward. He had nothing to say to him. Actually, that wasn't quite true. He wanted to get in the kid's face, tell him to shove off, find someone else to pest and, if need be, threaten him with his claws and teeth. He would've done that too if he didn't feel that it would only escalate the rumors already floating around about him. How tempting it was to just not give two ryo and just yell at the kid. His angered mind would like nothing more. The desire to go off only escalated as the kid, just as rudely asked what he was. It seemed the kid didn't have any form of manners or care about anything other than his own desires. Salzem stood to his full height, shifting from his front paws to his rear ones. He new stood a solid 7ft and towered over the kid, his sanguine, glowing eyes meeting his red ones. For a second, Salzem was taken slightly aback at how young the kid actually was. He looked to be around 8-9 years old, perhaps younger. Why his voice didn't click with him before, he didn't know but he lost some of his anger with the realization that this kid's ignorance wasn't his fault. Salzem dropped back to all fours and turning his back to him once again before speaking.
"I'm a monster." Salzem stated flatly before continuing on his way. He hoped that would be the end of that. He really did.

Salzem didn't say, nor look in the boy's direction as he tried to convince him to stay. He continued his walk without a care, making his way through various twists and turns. if the Kid still followed him, Salzem would continue to be silent, barely listening to what this little bitty human was spouting. He spoke as if he looked down on himself for using the term monster.
"What else would you call this?" Salzem snarled back in retort. "You're right. I don't give a damn about what they think of me. I'm a monster because that the body I inhabit. As for your bodies..." Salzem growled and snatched up a dry wooden stick laying amongst the sand with one colossal hand. He would then snap it and drop the withered pieces on the infertile ground below. Salzem continued on his way, quietly growling to himself. The kid then asked his name as if he had a right to know. Salzem didn't even look his way and continued his walk. Salzem really loathed this kid. At his age, having so little respect for something other than himself will be the death of him, especially if the Kazekage had the misfortune of meeting this kid on a bad day.
"The hell do you know about 'true nature' kid?" Salzem spat at him. "You're half my age, and nowhere near as experienced. The fact you, a human child, are trying to tell me how to live is disgusting."
