Takamitsu's Fuinjutsu Training (Private/Solo)
Sat May 21, 2016 7:41 pm
Takamitsu quietly sat in the training grounds under a tree, listening to the sounds around him. The boy's eyes were closed, and his breathing was deep and methodical. If someone was observing him, it would have seemed like he was asleep or unconscious, but he was far from it. Takamitsu was hyper aware of his surroundings, attempting to meditate as he thought of his next jutsu to learn. The Uzumaki clan members were usually gifted in Fuinjutsu, but had instead chosen to focus in ninjutsu during his training, resulting in an almost complete lack of skill in the area fuinjutsu. Takamitsu couldn't name the first thing about a seal, but he decided he would change that today. In all honesty, the boy wasn't quite sure where to start. He was starting from square one, and that was slightly discouraging. When he had woken up in the morning with training in mind, he had went to the library to grab a book about fuinjutsu, but it seemed like a rather large novel and it was intimidating to say the least. When he finally opened his eyes and grabbed the novel from his bag, Takamitsu felt a bit more confident about the training. After several minutes of reading, he decided to start with the Mark Seal, hoping that a very simple jutsu like that wouldn't be too much of an issue to learn. If all went well, this single dot could catapult him into a world of entirely new jutsu, and that was a very attractive offer. He began to stand, dusting himself off as he continued to read more about the history of the jutsu and how to perform it. It had a very large variety of uses, although just learning to place the seal wouldn't be very effective on its own. If he continued to study the area of fuinjutsu, he would be able to track and even summon ninja using this seal. It seemed like it had many uses for an E-Rank jutsu, but not every good thing has to require immense training to perform, right? The boy closed his eyes, trying to move his chakra through his body as he felt the warm Konoha weather move a small breeze through the fields. He heard the rushing of water and chirping of birds as he tried to move his chakra towards his hand, hoping that he would be able to use it to create the seal that he was attempting to learn. When he finally felt ready, he brought his right hand down to his left wrist, examining the area carefully. Sure enough, a small dot, not even a milometer wide, was seen visible on his wrist for a few brief moments before it faded. He laughed slightly, looking back towards his book. If he was able to pick up this jutsu in one shot, he wondered if that spelt a good future for future endeavors into fuinjutsu. Takamitsu closed the book, sitting down right next to the tree again.
He wasn't quite sure when he had fallen asleep, or why the sleep had come so suddenly. All the boy knew is that when he opened his eyes, the sun had traveled much further in the sky and his book had slipped out of his hands down to the ground. Takamitsu stood and dusted himself off, slowly picking up his novel again. The boy lazily flicked through the pages, hoping to find something that he would be able to quickly practice before heading back home for the day. Learning how to seal objects into scrolls seemed like another good jutsu to spend time on, as all the other fuinjutsu using shinobi he had seen around the village carried a scroll with numerous weapons that they could quickly access in combat. Even if he did find a better jutsu for storage later down the road, learning to seal items still seemed like it could be useful in certain situations. He looked through his bag, trying to find a spare scroll that wasn't filled with different notes on jutsu or that he had borrowed from the library to study later. Eventually, he found one that was unmarked, and he rolled it across the ground. The white paper slowly unraveled as he searched for a rock on the ground to seal. Although Takamitsu had kunai on him, he didn't want to risk wasting money on the possible destruction or loss of property that he was likely going to use at a later date. Finally, he found a small rock about the size of a baseball, and he set it down on the scroll victoriously. Takamitsu then stood up, once again channeling the chakra through his body. He didn't doubt that this might take more attempts, as this was more complicated than simply marking someone with chakra. He focused intensely on the white paper and the sizeable, gray rock that sat on top of it. He began to bring his hands together before bending down and placing them on the rock, staring at them as he tried to use his chakra to seal it onto the page. After several seconds, he picked up his hands and figured that he needed to give it another shot, this time he wasn't going to underestimate what the jutsu would take and he'd give it his all. Putting the same amount of effort into this as he did with Lightning Rod or Hell Stab would seem like a strange idea, but the boy was beginning to learn that if he didn't consistently meet every challenge with all he had, then he was going to fail. He intensely began to move his chakra, quickly moving a large amount of energy into his hands. Once again, he brought his hands down onto the rock as he tried to seal it onto the paper, but this time the result was different. He felt the rock quickly disappear under his palms, and he saw what appeared to be black ink spread across the center of the scroll. The boy laughed slightly as he grabbed the scroll by the end, rolling it and tossing it into his bag. He wasn't exactly sure why he was going to keep the rock, but he figured it'd serve as some sort of milestone later in his life. Takamitsu stretched before beginning to walk towards the village, planning to take a not-so-well deserved nap.
