A Soul Fighting Back? (SOLO)
Thu Jun 09, 2016 12:44 am
Kiru had tears stinging his eyes, all alone in the village he stood. It was the middle of the night, the moon high overhead. He felt failure once again. He had let a friend die, just like he had let a village die. He wasn't...he wasn't strong enough. Each time he tried to fight he was held back, either by his fear or by someone else. Now he was alone, those he was with were all gone. Kira, Daiyuki, Kaien, Mugen, Lazurus, Maku...They all had disappeared in one way or another. The only one left was Kuro and Kiru just couldn't put his last friend in danger. Should he just disappear? Would people stop dying all around him if he just disappeared and vanished into the wind. He looked up at the moon, shining light over this town. The leaf village was where a few heroes came from, a village where history was made. How could some kid from the middle of nowhere hope to change anything. He clutched his right hand, and felt an object there. He had forgotten...near Kira's body he had found this stone. It was smooth and seemed to have swirling color within it. It seemed to fill him with energy even as he held it.
Examining it, it glowed in the darkness, reflecting the moonlight. Kira's colors sure weren't blue, she was much closer to red and black then anything else, so why have such a stone? From what he examined from the scene it was as if had been inside her chest, like she had implanted it within herself. It was...probably useful to her then if she went that far for just this stone. He had never heard her mention it, so he wasn't absolutely positive what it did...but if Kira kept it close to her heart, then perhaps thats where he should keep it. Even if she wasn't here anymore, he could still feel her, pushing him along as she had always done. If he stopped here she would definitely be disappointed, so no matter how he felt, he had to keep going as far as he could...for the sake of all those left behind him. He squeezed the stone tightly and held it to his chest. He still felt that sickening feeling in his stomach, that worry that he would fail, or that he should give up. He couldn't listen to that feeling, no matter what. That didn't mean he could endanger anymore friends though..a person like himself should remain distant. If he let emotion or fear get in his again he didn't know what could happen. So for now he would lock his soul away, until he was sure he could protect all those that he cared for. He let out a breath, not realizing he had been holding it. The panic in his stomach slowly faded as he steeled himself towards what he had to do. He needed to find people to help him. Either people who were strong or could become strong. He also needed to make himself stronger to be of use to them. He slipped the stone into his pocket, his coat picking up in the breeze as he made his way through town...
