Bonding Orphanage

Mission:

Enyo had just awoken, this time there were no fist flying breaking the air causing the noise to resound throughout the Hiyu’s base. Waking up at his own time felt better than he expected, it also made him feel a bit guilty since he figured he was neglecting his training. With this in mind he would get up and get dressed ready to conquer the day. Of course that was a lot harder than it sounded, the mind was usually always able to conquer the body when it came to wanting to do something. If it didn’t humans would be in a lot of predicaments not knowing how to get out of them.

Tying his long black hair into a ponytail he would set out to the training grounds, with one foot ahead of the other Enyo would walk through the serene village. It was good to get out and see these people because at the old Hiyu base he was only stuck with seeing his mother, father, and beloved brother. To his immediate right he would see an orphanage, or what seemed to be an orphanage, through the dirty window he was able to see that the staff were running around trying to clean things and attend to the children. With no hesitation Enyo would walk into the building.

As he did so he would get stares from all that were in there, after a few brief moments of awkward eye contact that Enyo couldn’t necessarily pick up on he would be greeted by someone who was the head of the orphanage. She was a middle-aged woman with red hair and blue eyes. The wrinkles on her face and the calluses on her hand showed that she was a hard working woman who has done this for many years. “Hello sir, how may we help you?” She asked with her head tilted the side a bit.

“Oh, it seemed that you guys needed help in here. I wanted to know if I could be of service, you see I can not turn a blind eye to those in need.” Enyo said as looked into her eyes to show his sincerity. “Oh, I see. Well then, I need you to clean the place up a bit while me and the other teachers take care of the kids.” She said grabbing his hand and dragging him to the supply room. Once there she would hand him some cleaning supplies such as soap, a bucket to fill up the water and a scrubber.

There was also a mop and broom in the supply room, but he had to do the exterior of the orphanage. The paint was a chalky white so he decided he would repaint it to a calm green, with this in his mind he would sneak off from the orphanage to get the paint. He figured he could contact the construction workers that he had helped three days ago, they did say they would help him with anything. Once he got there he could see they were hard at work, the man that asked him to do the lumber mission had spotted him and began to walk over towards Enyo.

Enyo would greet the man with a firm handshake and began to tell him that he needed green paint if they had any. Luckily, they had to cans of paint that he could use so he went along his way rushing back to the orphanage. As he did so he could begin to scrub the outside of the orphanage in preparation of the new paint that was to come. It took quite some time, but he had finally finished but he had to wait for it to dry in order to put the new paint on. He figured it would be a lot more efficient and productive if he were to clean the interior of the orphanage as well. As soon as he walked in he could see that it was pandemonium, kids were running around everywhere and the teachers were having a hard time.

Enyo got to work straight away getting the broom and mop out of the supply room, he filled up the water for the mop and while he was waiting on the he began to sweep and got the dust and crumbs off of the wooden floor. After that he checked on the mop to see that it had overflowed a bit, but it was no matter because he could just use the mop to absorb the water. He did just that and finished the rest of the orphanage which was rather hard due to the kids running around and the staff running around after them.

After finishing that Enyo went back outside to see that the building had dried and it was time to begin painting, but then he had a fantastic idea. Instead of painting it all himself he would let the kids do it as a fun activity. It would also help bond everyone together because everyday they look at the orphanage they could see that they did that. Enyo walked into the orphanage , “Everyone Attention! I want you all to come outside.” He said as everyone seemed to stop in their tracks. Once everyone was outside he would hand them brushes, he realized he didn’t have enough paint so he told the staff to ration out the paint until he returned.

Enyo went back to the construction workers and informed him that he needed at least 3 more green paint buckets, “Sure, anything for you up and coming ninja.” They said as they threw the paint buckets at him. Running back to the orphanage he would supply them with more paint and after awhile he could see the joy spread around the faces of the kids and the staff. Enyo began to smile himself looking at what was unfolding before him. He decided he would join in as well as the staff so they all helped each other out. It took a few hours, but after it was finished the orphanage looked brand new and so did the kids.

Everyone looked as though they were rejuvenated, but not only that, they had memories to hold on to. Feeling accomplished Enyo would say his goodbyes and headed back home to rest his body which was fairly tired from all of the ripping and running.
