Sei's Transformation Jutsu Training
Tue Feb 07, 2017 5:37 pm
With a heavy sigh Sei blew up to his hair, pushing the dark red strands covering his eye to the side as he shuffled out of class along with the rest of his classmates. In the rush to leave hundreds of students dashed towards either their homes or the plaza. Sei on the other hand slipped out quickly, favouring instead to head to his training spot. It wasn't far from the orphanage, a small clearing surrounded by trees, a small lake to the side and a few toppled logs (that Sei would proudly announce he struck down). This would do perfectly for the basic jutsu training.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First. Transformation Jutsu. The harder of the E rank jutsu. Sei could only smirk as he took a straight, disciplined position in the centre of the clearing. He'd been studying these techniques ever since he started the academy. They were his tickets to Genin and unlike most people who'd rather only learn them when their Chunnin teacher said so Sei was on the road to strength and he was not going to waste any more time.
He let out a slow, focused sigh, his thoughts and aspirations emptying from his mind as he prepared himself to begin. With an inward nod he brought his hands together in front of him, distinctly making the Dog, Boar and Ram signs. In a poof of obscuring smoke Sei reappeared but not as he was before. He was much, much taller, the height of a twenty five year old in his prime. His shirt and jeans were replaced with a chunnin jacket, a black...grey...It was fading. Sei had gotten too excited at the small success and in his panic any poof of smoke revealed the frustrated boy letting out a heavy sigh. It took Sei a couple minutes of planning and rest before he tried again, maintaining his focused state as he carefully made the three signs once more. This time, there was no excitement when he assumed his form. Now, it was clear what the boy was attempting to emulate. Himself. Sei looked older. He wore the signature green jacket and black undersuit of the leaf, notably more simple and lacking the holster usually strapped to a chunnin's leg but it was successful nonetheless. He took a step towards the lake and immediately pushed some more chakra into the jutsu. He'd almost lost it there. It seemed that the illusion was difficult to maintain when interacting with things. He was surprised it wasn't faltering from the brief bursts of wind from the spring weather. With another deep breath he took another step forward. Then another. And another. The drain on his reserves was noticeable but he could work on it.
Finally, he reached the small lake, peering down onto his own reflection. The same shade of red. The same shade of brown. His face felt a little off around the nose although he was imagining an idealistic version of himself. He'd have to note to incorporate flaws in the illusion if he wanted to impress the chunnin.
Letting go of his focus the illusion faded, leaving Sei smiling at finally being able to peer into his hopeful future. He stood there for a few minutes, letting himself be swept up in the fantasy of striking down the next big threat of the village before finally reviewing his technique further. His illusion was unrealistic and undetailed. He needed more focus. More care for each defining detail of the Chunnin uniform.
Assuming his stance once more he quickly mustered Dog, Boar and Ram with more practiced ease this time. The Chunnin illusion reappeared this time but more defined. The strapped on holster was present, several bandages under it and three equally sized pockets on either side of his chest. There was stubble on his chin this time if anything making him seem more mature and cool in his opinion yet his expression was blank.
'No emotional interruptions' he noted in his head.
He started to walk around, letting himself get used to the drain on his chakra before nodding to himself, satisfied with his control and dispelling the illusion. Lastly, Sei noted that he'd have to use this jutsu for more than just wish fulfilment. He needed to test the jutsu on someone else for experience's sake. Three hand signs and a puff of smoke later Sei was now a hunched over woman in her sixties, a plain blue dress with some flowery patterns on the long dress. He was Martha, the orphanage's Nanny. He took some steps, checking him...herself? His details were perfect. With a chuckle he dispelled the jutsu, collapsing to the floor and taking another heavy breath.
"Man that was difficult."
