Hikaru's genin exam

Hikaru stood in line patiently. All the students around him were yapping nonstop, it was driving him crazy. He was using all his willpower not to yell at them but it wasn't enough.

"Will you shut up?" Hikaru growled through gritted teeth. The all looked at him, panic in their eyes. Hikaru didn't normally ask for stuff, but when he did, he always got what he wanted. If people disobeyed him they would always end up in a lot of pain. Hikaru closed his eyes and inwardly sighed, silence at last. He opened his eyes and looked for Tenzo, was he doing the genin exams as well? He better. He scanned the crowd for his face but the crowd was to thick to pick any particular face. He would meet up with him after the exams and see how he did.

The silence dragged on, anyone who dared speak got a glare from Hikaru, that shut them up quick. They all watched the clock tick. Hikaru was starting to grow impatient, where was the proctor?

Ren strode into the room, he'd made a point to always be present for the exams, but since the proctor had been sent off on an urgent mission Ren had decided to take over the exam process rather than try to find another proctor at this hour. "All right all of you, "let's keep this brief, you all know the rules, demonstrate for me the transformation technique and the clone technique" he said in a serious voice, his eyes scanning the crowd as he took note of not just people's skill with the techniques but also how they acted.

It was 11:00.Almost Time for the genin test.Tenzo stopped the training he was doing and walked leisurely towards the academy.He looked over all the training he had done that day and was very satisfied by what he had accomplished.After twenty minutes of walking slowly,he would arrive at the academy.He would enter soundlessly and only the chuunin of the building would notice.He would then make his way to the class.The class that the genin exams would be taking place.The place where hikaru would be.He smiled softly at the thought of his new friend,He was excited to see the other physco again.Hikaru would enter the class before realizing that Hikaru was currently not their yet.He would silently make his way to the upper right corner of the room.He was one of the first people in the room.He would quietly sit in that corner as more and more people started to arrive.After a while Hikaru arrived but he didn’t seem to notice Tenzo.He went and sat two rows under tenzo right next to window.Tenzo would watch as Hik would growl at the other students to such,with amusmentAnd would almost start laughing when he saw their scared faces..And would feel happy when he noticed hik scanning the crowd.He would then move silently and quickly to sit next to hik.Hik wouldn’t notice him until he sat next to him,since silence was literally in Tenzo’s DNA.When others noticed this they would grow extremely fearful.The demon of silence and the demon of pain sitting next to each other.F*** They would notice because they were all watching Hik in fear and would see tenzo once he sat next to Hik.Tenzo would smile at hik before saying “yo I see u got your nosed healed up”He would also watch as The chuunin walked in and gave her orders.He would be waiting for her to call up the students one by one.

Hikaru jumped at the sound of Tenzo's voice, he turned around and stared at Tenzo. How long had he been there? He opened his mouth to speak, but the sound of his teacher cut him off. "Lets keep this simple," His teacher began "You all know the rules, demonstrate for me the transformation technique and the clone technique." They watched as the Hopeful academy students got called up and performed the jutsu. Some failed, some didn't. It didn't matter to Hikaru, they were all weak pathetic excuses for human beings anyway.

Eventually Hikaru got called up, he slowly got up and began walking to the front. As he walked down the steps he mentally checked his chakra reserves. They were 100%, good.He decided he was going to do the clone technique first, he was least confident in it out of the two. He stood at the front and began to form the seals. Ram He felt his chakra begin the mould. Snake He felt his chakra begin to push outwards. Tiger His chakra was building up ,ready to be used. He built up the chakra and focused on the mental image of himself duplicating.

He released the chakra into two seperate streams and two clouds of chakra puffed around him, one on ether side of Hikaru . He watched in anticipation as the smoke began to dissipate. He could see two obscured figures standing amiss the smoke. He watched as two perfect replicas stood to the side of him. He released the breath he didn't know he was holding and began manipulating the clones to directly mirror his mannerisms. A bored, vacant look in his eyes, always on guard in case he was attacked. After he got his mannerisms down he looked at the teacher.

The teacher didn't say anything but jotted something down on his clipboard. Hikaru assumed that was a good sign, he hoped. He held his clones up for about a minute before dismissing them. Next was the transformation technique. He studied the classroom for someone to transform into his gaze settled on his teacher. He decided against it, it seemed two cliche for his tastes. He thought of transforming into the mizukage but he didn't know enough about him to pull a successful transformation.

Eventually he looked at Tenzo, his friend. He probably knew enough about Tenzo to pull of a realistic transformation. He began doing the seals. Dog, Once again, he felt his chakra begin to mould into place. Boar, His chakra began to swirl around him in distinct patterns Ram, He focused on the mental image of Tenzo and released the chakra.

in the chakra smoke his white pasty skin turned into pink unblemished skin, he grew from his usual 5'2 to 6'. The changes continued, changing him from Hikaru Komatsu into Tenzo. As the smoke began to clear he made sure he had the aura of Tenzo about him. Innocent eyes, seeing the wonder in anything, constantly slouched, he hoped he had done enough. When the smoke he cleared he continued to uphold the technique.

He stared at the teacher with his new big round innocent eyes and stared at the teacher. He knew his teacher had a soft spot for Tenzo, he had seen how he had treated him in the training grounds after the fight. At least, he hoped. 

He continued to keep the chakra surrounding but he was starting to struggle. Not from Chakra exhaustion, his chakra reserves has barely been scratched. It was constantly having to be the opposite of what he usually was. While Hikaru was short and scrawny, Tenzo was tall and well built. Hikaru had a grey vacant expression whereas Tenzo's eyes were constantly lit up with curiosity and wonder. But he managed to keep his struggle hidden through the Transformation.

After holding the technique up for 30 seconds Hikaru decided he was going to impress his teacher. He put his hands together and did three familiar seals Ram-Snake-Tiger, and split his chakra into two streams. When he released the chakra two clouds of chakra smoke appeared on either side of him. Before the smoke cleared he quickly made his clones reflect the aura of Tenzo. When they cleared, three Tenzo's stood at the front. He held it up for about another minute before dropping the transformation and clone jutsu. He walked up the steps and slid back into his seat next to Tenzo. He quickly checked his reserves and found that they were at about 60%, apparently using the clones and transformation together was quite chakra intensive.

They sat next to each other and watched the other students do the test, all of them were boring. Eventually it was Tenzo's turn. He looked at Tenzo and gave him a look that said "Good Luck," and he meant it.

[firstly just a note, directed mainly at tenzo although you do it a little bit too hikaru, You cant say what other peoples characters do. "Hik wouldn’t notice him until he sat next to him,since silence was literally in Tenzo’s DNA." & "The teacher didn't say anything but jotted something down on his clipboard." are both examples of this 

@tenzo if your making a post using your DNA then you would say that your moving silently so that no one may hear you, but that doesn't preclude people from sensing you with their other senses. Basically you can't say that hikaru wouldn't notice you since thats for him to decide. I would also appreciate it if you made an effort to format your posts a bit better, just so that it makes them easier too read. The lack of spaces between full stops and the first letter of the next sentence makes it really hard on the eyes. 

@Hikaru, its only a minor thing but since the 'teacher' is Ren that means that only I can say what my character does. ]

Ren watched the students come forward and attempt to perform the two basic techniques that were required to pass the exam, some failed, some did surprisingly well, such was the nature of the exams. Ren saw the boy Hikaru performing the techniques with ease, enough so to show off and perform them both at the same time... Ren took a mental note to talk to him after this was all over before he waved him back to his seat and waited for the next student too come forward.

Tenzo smiled lightly as Hikaru jumped in surprise.He would sit down next to Hikaru before smiling at him watching as Hikaru was about to speak before becoming quit when the teacher began to say the rules of the test.Tenzo turned his attention back to the teacher giving him/her his full attention.He would watch as prospective genin went up some failing and others passing.He would anaylze those who had passed and none of them would catch his eye.Many had potential but they weren’t wow level.After a while tenzo would start to stare out the window.He would snap to attention as Hikaru’s name was called.He would nod to Hikaru as he went up to the floor in the center of the room.Tenzo wouldn’t be surprised as Hikaru went through the jutsu’s with ease.He would wonder in his head if Hikaru felt nervous at all before scoffing at his own idea, Hikaru nervous not possible.He would compliment Hikaru when he came back to his seat.After that eventually his name would called.He was confident he would pass and said thanks as Hikaru wished him good luck.Tenzo would arrive at the front before nodding towards his teacher waiting for the go ahead.Once he would receive he would the go ahead he would perform both jutsu one after another at fast speeds and little thought.He had made sure that he could do the jutsu without even thinking about.First a clone appeared before Tenzo would turn into an exact copy of his teacher.He would grin cheekily at the teacher after he does this.After that he would walk back to his seat next to Hikaru with a smile on his face.He would lean over and whisper if we pass this since kiri doesn’t have teams we could become unofficial team members training and doing mission together.Make a name for ourselves the two demons of kiri.He would say all this with an air of innocence that would make people think he didn’t know what he was talking about even though he was serious.

Ren nodded as Tenzo, the last of the students in line performed the clone and transformation techniques. "Excellent Ren said, now then, Jesua, Samuel, Jason..." Ren began listing off the names of all the students who had failed this part of the exam "If you could all leave the room then we will proceed." Ren said, leaning back against the wall and waiting for the students too move out of the room. Once that was done there were fifteen people left in the room "Okay now for the Rest of you here theres one more test you all need too pass before I graduate you all" Ren said as he turned and opened a door into an adjacent room. Walking inside Ren would lead the students inside, revealing a room filled with tables with injured animals on them. Along the walls were instructional scrolls detailing basic Medical ninjutsu. "Each of you pick an animal, You have twenty minutes too learn how too heal your animal" Ren would say before leaning against the wall and watching how everyone Reacted.

When Tenzo did the jutsu Hikaru only watched with mild interest. Tenzo was going to pass, why should he worry about it? When Tenzo finished he got back into his seat and began to whisper to Hikaru.

"If we pass, since kiri doesn't have official teams we could become an unofficial team, training and doing missions together." He began "Make a name for ourselves, become the two demons of kiri." Hikaru was slightly confused. The aura of innocence around Tenzo made it seem like he didn't know what he was talking about. But Hikaru knew better, he had seen the look in Tenzo's eyes during their "Spar".

Hikaru simply nodded thoughtfully at Tenzo's proposition, he quite liked the sound of "The two demon's of kiri." The rest of the exam was spent watching the other academy students preform their techniques for this part of the exam. Eventually they finished and the failing students were sent out the room. When the failures left there were only about fifteen people remaining. He looked around the classroom with an absent gaze. They were all weaklings, Hikaru sneered, they obviously havn't been keeping up with their training.

Their teacher told them that their was one more part of the test they had to complete in order to become genins. He led them through an open door and brought them into the next room. The teacher told everyone that they had 20 minutes to learn how to heal the wounded animal's scattered around the different tables. Hikaru ran a gaze through the room and saw the medical jutsu scrolls on the side. He inwardly cursed, he was going to learn the basic medical jutsu but he ran out of time before the exam.

Not wasting any time Hikaru quickly walked to the medical jutsu scrolls and began reading, soaking up all the key information. He then walked to a table and began to examine the wounded animal. It didn't seem to have any major injuries, good, that meant that he didn't have to master the technique. He put his hands up into the seals Boar-Rat-Snake, He felt his chakra mould into a distinct shape. He placed his hands over the animal and began to expel his chakra at a steady rate. 

After about a minute of the gentle chakra flow he lifted his hands to inspect the animal. Nothing had changed. Furrowing his brow he tried again. He didn't wan't to add any more chakra as the the technique had specifically said to not use to much chakra. Once again, nothing happened. He wanted to kill the animal, how could such a small pathetic thing be causing him this much trouble?

He closed his eyes and began recounting his previous times learning a jutsu. He had always slowly worked through the seals and took note of his chakra moulding. This time he took a deep breath and calmed himself, healing jutsu's worked best if the user was calm. He efficiently slid his hands into their first seal Ram He felt his chakra begin to mould into shape. He always loved the feeling of moulding his chakra, he sometimes just did random seals to feel the sensation. His fingers slipped into the next shape Rat His chakra began to relax and flow more slowly. He noted this and wondered if lightning users would have a difficult time learning medical ninjutsu due to this. Lightning users had very eratic and quick chakra. He performed the next seal Snake Chakra calmed down further and began moving to his hands.

He directed more of the calm chakra into his hands and began to flow it through the animals body. He saw the cuts begin to clot, he was doing it. He continued this until the cuts and bruises had more or less been healed. He settled down and began to wait for the test to be over

Tenzo watched as the students who failed walked out of the room leaving far more people than he expected.He was surprised by the amount but didn’t pay attention to them.He turned his attention back to his teacher who was beginning to speak again.He walked behind Hikaru as they entered the next room while listening to the teacher.He looked around the room before noticing the scrolls on the wall.At that same moment he would hear his teacher say. "Each of you pick an animal, You have twenty minutes too learn how too heal your animal" .He would be surprised that they had so little time and would immediately run up to get a scroll before choosing one of the bigger animals to do.

Even though this was a test he still wanted to challenge himsef.He slowly read through the book analyzing and re analyzing the information he got.By the time he was done ten minutes had already passed.Some of the other students were looking at him as if he was crazy.He just shrugged at them.He looked at the pig infront of him and inspected the wound.It was a large slash across its back.The pig was losing blood and in another 10 minutes it woul be dead.

He closed his eyes as he began to imagine a situation.He was medic nin,his teammate had fallen in battle and he was so nervous he couldn’t do the healing jutsu properly.He looked at his teammate making sure he was still conscious as he went through the handsigns,Boar-Rat-snake.The jutsu failed causing him to panick,Boar-Rat-Snake he did it again,but it failed again as well.He could feel his teammates life seeping away.No no no wake up …Wake up!He was frantic he couldn’t let his teammate die like this.Come on..come on.He calmed himself down and started to slowly go through the handseals again.He took a deep breath as he completed the handseals and slowly put his palm on the wound injecting his chakra into the wound.He gave it at an order a purpose to heal his comrade.Slowly the wound closed and his comrades heartbeat returned to regular levels.He sighed in relief as he finally succeeded.

Tenzo shook his head before seeing himself back in the room with the pig healed infront of him.He looked around to see the Students who had finished giving him perciluar looks.He shrugged before realizing he had finished right before the twemty minute mark.He grinned at the teacher waiting for him to continue.

Tenzo your lack of spaces between punctuation makes it hard to get a Word count, if you could edit that it would be great since it will save the mods a lot of time; but for the time being I'll assume your count is right, genin exam is 800 so your remaining wc is 510, enough to claim basic med but not mastery.]

Ren watched the students commence the second stage of the exam, of the fifteen that had reached this point two had already left and another five had failed. Ren nodded his head as he ticked off each of their names as they left the room, eventually they were down to eight. Ren walked through the room checking off each of their performances in his head before speaking. "Good job all of you, You pass" There was a collective sigh of relief from most of those who were still in the room, Ren started handing out head bands, leaving Hikaru and Tenzo to last. 

Once the room had cleared out Ren beckoned the two of them over, holding a pair of headbands in one hand. "now let me make something clear you two, you've shown the skills to pass this exam but don't think that gives you free reign in the village, if I find out that either of you have endangered your fellow comrades then I'll have you demoted right back to nobodies faster than you can blink, do I make myself clear?" Ren said in a stern voice once he received an affirmative from the two boy's he would hand them each a headband and give them a pat on the back before leaving the room, little book of seals in hand as he continued his own studies of the Rainbow fort seal and its uses in blocking projectiles.
