Hello... There.... Zzz

Tired… So so tired he was, it was impossible to describe for him. For a child, it was exhausting. It took him a bit more than half of a day to make it towards his location. His food supply was running on perhaps another day further, but his sleep level was at such a dangerously low point now. The problem was, he was unable to locate a safe spot to sleep in, forcing him to stay awake instead of sleep with a Kunai in his left hand. Security was not guaranteed anymore, one of the many things that he had to deal with for making his way out. With that said, he would then approach the gates, his eyes refrained from being active, simply because he would rather not drain chakra as well as his energy. That was probably the only thing keeping him from passing out into the ground right about now. Considering how it looked to be a little more industrialized, Haruki had a feeling if he were to just flop on the street, it would feel worse than hot sand. There probably would be guards he had to talk to as well, maybe they could at least let him sleep. If they decide to boot him out, maybe at least have some food for him to make his travels elsewhere.
No No NO! STOP THAT! Haruki scolded himself internally, banishing such thoughts from flowing through his mind with ease. It was just him being tired, he should not think so negatively. And unfortunately, he was not in the best state the answer many questions either... A tired child traveling alone, it was a miracle for him to be alive. But his training taught him well enough, so now he was just barely living. To him, that was more than enough, just to know that his hard work just saved him when he made such a risky choice. And so he approached the gates, crossing his fingers that he would get lucky.

The silver haired Chunin known as Kenshin would have a small smirk on his face as he made his way back to Hoshigakure, he was on his way back to the village after yet another successful bandit hunt, an activity that he found himself partaking in more often with each passing day, but his hunts helped the people of Haven Country, so who was he to deny them. As per usual he was clad in his Chunin outfit, a pair a dark grey dress pants along with a pure white shirt, worn with a black tie around his neck, over this he was wearing the same long, black trench coat that many were coming to associate with him, on his hands were a pair of fingerless, black leather gloves and worn on his feet were a pair of black dress shoes. His silver mane flowed freely down to his mid-back, and as per usual he had a single braid on the right side of his face, the braid itself reaching down to his chest due to the length of his hair. Thankfully he had decided to no longer wear his Hoshigakure headband as a belt buckle, instead having it attached to the right sleeve of his black trench coat, something that made it very easy for people to notice the glinting metal on his sleeve.
As he continued down the main road a thin silver brow would raise slightly in curiosity...why, he could feel a chakra signature coming from just down the road, and whoever this person was possessed incredibly large chakra reserves, quite a bit larger than his own reserves actually, and so his curiosity had been piqued. He was only just able to see the person in the distance, but he was able to see absolutely no discerning features due to the distance between the two of them, thankfully though, it appeared that he was walking quite a bit faster than the unknown individual, so it would not take him long at all to close the distance between them. As Kenshin got closer his silver eyes would narrow slightly...this person was walking very strangely, in fact, they appeared to be more staggering than walking, something that suggested they were either quite badly injured, sick, or just plain exhausted. As a Medical Ninja of Hoshigakure it was his duty to provide aid to citizens or travellers in need, and despite him disliking that particular part of his job it was part of his job regardless, so he would fulfill that duty without question. The scar faced albino would pick up his pace a bit more in order to catch up to the person in question, placing his hand gently on their shoulder when he got within touching distance
“Excuse me, are you alright?” he would ask with what appeared to be genuine concern in his voice, his face the very picture of a worried and caring soul. What he would not know however was that Kenshin was ready and waiting to strike should the need present itself, his hair of all things was filled with his chakra, ready and waiting for him to activate one of the jutsu that he had been working on over the past couple of days. All three of these jutsu allowed him to manipulate his hair using nothing more than his chakra, effectively turning a useless feature into a rather deadly weapon, and for someone with as much hair as Kenshin those jutsu would definitely end up coming in handy in the future

A sudden touch on the shoulder of the child would startle him, his body instinctively flinching. However, it did not have the strength to pull out a Kunai knife like he might have been able to do, so he would just stand there as he turned his head to the side. It was a man, one who asked him about his well-being. Being a child, it was only natural for him to have tears well down his face from relief, as he figured that he was saved at this moment. Regardless if he was sure or not on that, that was what he wanted to believe, so he would just go along with it. An inn... The boy weakly replied as he would pull out his bag of ryo before letting it drop to the ground. "So... Tired..." Haruki explained the best he could, yawning before he would then cough a bit. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and considering the mental scars he bore on him, it was not like he was able to show a more outgoing personality in his stronger well-rested state. It was more likely going to just result in a more... Respectful and quiet manner. "I'm from..." The explanation of his background would not even leave his lips successfully as he would awkwardly lean to the side with his eyes closed... Sleeping while standing up.
His conscious woke him up in high alert once again, though just barely as his vision was blurry. It was unfortunate, he did not have much to say considering how weak he was as of currently. The thought of a battle would be suicide for him. It was a miracle for him to still be standing, though as more seconds pass, the more likely it would be for him to just pass out on the ground. Just the way he was when he was brought... Little did he know that however. "I'm... I'm... I..." His voice cracked after the third attempt before then just leaning to the side, this time his conscious unable to wake him up as he would fall. "Zzz..."

Kenshin was more than a little shocked by the fact that the one to possess such a powerful chakra signature was such a young looking child, but what shocked him even more were the tears that began to fall freely from his orange eyes upon seeing Kenshin, the look of relief that came to his face telling the silver haired chunin all that he needed to know. “An inn” the young boy would say in a truly weak and exhausted tone, before he pulled out a small pouch that Kenshin could only believe held all of the boys ryo, but the pouch itself ended up slipping through his weak fingers and fell to the ground. Damn, he was so exhausted that he couldn’t even properly hold a pouch, that was not a good sign “So...Tired…” the boy would say before giving a large yawn, something that only ended up making the youngster cough and splutter, yeah, there was no need for him to be wary of an attack, this one was simply far too exhausted to be a true threat. “I’m from…” the boy would begin, but before the words could leave his lips he would begin to lean slightly to the left, his eyes closed, letting the albino know that he had passed out due to the sheer exhaustion he was feeling right now.
This would not last however, as the child's eyes would quickly shoot open and he would begin to look around the area almost deliriously “I’m...I’m...I…” he would attempt to say, before once more leaning to the side as he lost consciousness, and this time it seemed that the young man would not be getting back up, at least if the light snores that were coming from his form were any indication. “Rest easy child, you’re safe now” the scar faced heart thief would say to the unconscious form of the unnamed young boy, what could possibly have caused the youngster to push himself so hard that he was physically unable to stay awake, nothing good that’s for damned sure. With a small sigh Kenshin would carefully lower the boys unconscious form down to the ground, where he would begin to scan over his body for any injuries that he could have been concealing, but thankfully it seemed that the only thing wrong with him was the crippling exhaustion, and even now that was being taken care of by the rest that the youngster was getting. The stitched and scarred albino would lean down and take hold of the ryo pouch that the brown haired kid had dropped, it simply would not do for him to forget about the pouch and leave it for whatever scavenger ended up finding it, and while the prospect of simply making the young child disappear to take the contents of said pouch did appeal to him somewhat, he was not about to do such a thing.
Now, it was not because doing such a thing would make him feel guilty, no, he had done a great many things a lot worse than that in the past, even now that he was a shinobi of Hoshigakure he was unable to control the bloodlust that he felt at times, he could direct it yes, but not control it, thus all of those bandit hunting trips he went on. But that info was neither here nor there, right now he had to get this child back to Hoshigakure so that he could admit him to the hospital, they were much better equipt to handle cases of exhaustion like this than he was. So with that thought Kenshin would heft the unconscious form of Haruki over his right shoulder and continue his trip back to Hoshigakure, and once he arrived, he would admit the young boy to the hospital, where he would be given the care that he needed.
