The Congregation of Villains [C | IO]
Fri Jul 21, 2017 10:36 pm
The slums in Hoshigakure were quite different from the slums in Kumo. Not in the way that slums were all filled with dirty roads and crumbling buildings, but the aura it exuded. Kumo’s shanty town was distinctively darker and sinister, where shadows meant unsavory blokes and the rusty glint of metal. It stank too. Of rot, rust, and dust; of hard liquor, despair, and fury. Hoshigakure’s skid row, on the other hand, was simply agitated and restless. Resentful. Perhaps even on the brink of something that would turn the Village of Stars on its belly. However, that was neither here nor there.
Saya watched from the railings of the third floor apartments, which to her consternation were nothing more than storage rooms. It had been a cramped night and the young girl had no sooner left the safety of the roof the moment she had woken. Dawn had broken through, alighting the poorly cobbled streets with a touch of sunlight. It hardly stirred any of the people who hadn’t managed to snag some lodgings before the night had arrived.
The attempts of cleaning up the place for their arrival were clear to her. They couldn’t get rid of the layers of stains off of any of the surfaces, and they certainly couldn’t extinguish the stench of age old mold. Still, she supposed that it was better than what could have been. Saya sighed, leaning on her arms before perking up at the sight of a familiar figure. Was that…?
Instinctively, she flared her chakra to catch their attention before jumping over edge and jogging over to who had caught her attention.

The streets of hoshigakure where the equivalent of a hedge maze to the hyuuga who was so desperately trying to find his way back to his apartment in the slums, he had absolutely no clue where he was going or any sense of direction in this god forsaken city. His eye’s sleepy and his body tired he’d look around the dirt road, and shanty wooden structures that surrounded him. “This city is ridiculously large!” The chuunin would say to himself as he let out a sigh.
It didn’t help that most of the buildings in the slum’s looked almost completely identical, and gave no hints to which was his. Scratching the back of his head he’d take a momentary stop in the middle of the street, and silently wish he was still in kumogakure, a city scape he had down to a science, not this foreign mess.

Renji would be walking through the streets of hoshi with his heavy pack on his back. He was still searching for which of these storage shed looking things would be serving as his residence for his time here.
This was Renji’s third time coming down this street, the previous two he had gotten completely lost being that every single house looks exactly the same as the one next to it. Renji probably could have used his byakugan to help in his search, but he was not to fond on snooping into people’s houses if he did not have to. Because of that he had spent the entire night searching for his residence.
Tired from all his searching, Renji would declare this his last attempt at finding his lodging before giving up and just sleeping on a park bench or something.
As he gets a few steps down the block, Renji would activate his byakugan; being that this was his last attempt he figured hey what the hell why not. Through his byakugan renji would see, a few houses down from where he was, a very familiar signature that he had not seen in a long time. Looking up Renji would see his teammate Saya standing on a balcony of some sort. Excited he would quickly begin to run in the direction of his teammate shouting “Saya, Saya!” and waving at the young girl the entire time he is running towards her.
Renji would be so excited to see his teammate here in hoshi that he would not be paying close attention to the street in front of him rather, he would be looking up at his teammate through his byakugan; she was still a couple of houses away at this point.
Just as Renji is about to open his mouth to yell up toward his teammate again, he would unknowingly run into someone standing in the middle of the street. Renji had not been running at top speed, and being completely caught off guard by the individual standing in the street, Renji would be knocked back a few feet and lands hard on the ground.

It was early morning, and Sakana had just woken up in the small hotel room that was provided for him by Kumo. There was a rumor going around that one person had paid for every one of the cloud citizens to stay in the slums of Hoshi. Now while this was very generous of that person, these rooms were very tiny. Literally, they were one room cottage looking places, the only things inside were beds and bathrooms. The only saving grace was that the genin was able to get one on the ground floor. The hotel had three floors and no way to get up them except for the stairs.
Just as he had gotten dressed for the day he heard screaming outside the window. As he pulled the curtains back he some two familiar faces. The first being Saya Kirihara standing on the third floor balcony, across from where Sakana was. And the second thing he saw was Renji Hyuuga dashing to meet her. That was until he slammed into a someone and knocked them over.
Sakana opened his door and rushed outside to help the man Renji had knocked over. Coincidently, this man was Komon Hyuuga. The Meijin would extend out his hand for either Renji or Komon to grab and he would help them up.
Saya had jumped off the railing at this point and was heading over towards them. Sakana would look around to see if there were any more people he knew, before saying, “Good morning.”

Max wanted to see where all of his other friends had been located within the village of Hoshi. Not only would it help familiarize the young man with locations and direction within the foreign lands, but it would also show him where exactly he could find people that he could trust if things in town went south. Senshi, of course, had always been close by but the boy knew that they were in a hornets nest here in Hoshi and didn't want the group to be too divided. Anything that went wrong could manage to spiral out of control, and knowing where your friends are could end up saving a life.
The boy would happily be strolling down through the slums, not entirely unhappy with the visit. This place reminded him much more of home than the palace had, and so there was a warm, welcoming feel to the locale.
As he was walking towards where he was told many of the Kumo forces were staying, he heard a familiar voice calling out to another familiar name. Well, it seems the other members of the team managed to meet up, he would think to himself, wondering if they had the same idea he had.
The young puppeteer wouldn't be weighed down by his heavy pack, only carrying Napa and Stein on his back in case of an emergency. Upon approaching the sound he saw Renji on the ground. Max's first though was to protect his teammate, but as he dashed over he realized that if was Komon that had been who had knocked him over. A sigh of relief would escape Max as other Kumo ninja seemed to congregate to this area. Saya had landed nearby, and another Kumo shinobi that Max hadn't known very well rushed out of his house.
"Well, we are quite a bunch, aren't we?" Max would say, greeting the others in a friendly manner. The boy would pull out a piece of flavored hard candy and put in in his mouth, offering one to anybody that asked for a piece.

A loud crashing sound would echo out for all of the Kumo shinobi to hear. It was originating from the seven story building just to the south of the one Saya was standing on. The crashing sounds continued, increasing in intensity and volume. Suddenly one of the doors would be thrown open relatively violently and the single Kumogakure Jounin in Hoshi emerged. He had no shirt on, only a pair of work out shorts that ended just below his mid thigh. The burns on the left side of his body on show for everyone to see. Not to mention the multiple cuts and stab wound scars that littered his entire body. His right shoulder, pec muscle, and a large portion of his back was a mass of purple and blue lines from obvious damage by lightning jutsu.
His right arm covered completely in a black Polynesian tattoo. As he stepped out of the seventh floor door his arms were full with what was clearly the remnants of a wall. An irritated look on his face as he threw the rubble over the edge of the balcony before stepping back inside and retrieving more throwing it over the balcony again. It was at this point that he noticed Saya, Komon, Renji, Max, and Sakana in the street. He was lucky that the rubble he was throwing was directed just over twenty meters away from them. The loud crash of it hitting the street echoing out. He paused, deciding not to head back into the ridiculously small rooms they had been assigned.
How did they expect a man of his size to stay in a room that was barely twice his height in length and width. Especially with the amount of weapons he had. As such he had decided to destroy the walls to the three adjacent, and empty rooms to expand the space he occupied. Gripping the railing in his hand he launched himself over the edge of it landing in a crouch ten meters from Saya. The running shoes on his feet made it clear that he had intended to do some physical activity. He was covered in a light sheen of sweat, the heat of this land clearly not agreeing with the Jounin who was entirely too used to the cool humidty of Kumo. He approached Saya, making a motioning movement to Renji as he did so.
“Renji, Saya I forgot to apply a seal to the two of you. A telepathy seal so that you may contact any of us at any time, and a mark seal so that I can find you in a moments notice should it be needed. Is it fine to apply these seals to you?” Senshi would wait for the two to give him permission before performing the hand seals and placing small mark seals on the inside of their right ears, and the telepathy seal just behind their left ears. Once he had completed he would turn and raise a hand in greeting towards Sakana, Komon, and Max. It was at this time that the loud echo of footsteps sounded through the area and the couple that Saya and Reizo had assisted in delivering their baby approached the group.
In their arms was the baby, a baby carrier back pack thing, and a diaper bag. Senshi gave a nod towards them and wordlessly accepted the carrier strapping the pink contraption to his chest before taking hold of the baby and placing her in it. He slung the pink and green diaper bag over his left shoulder, just as the couple spoke. “Thank you again Mr. Senshi, we can’t express our gratitude enough for your help in watching her.” Senshi just nodded at the two as they headed off to go do whatever work was needed for the preparation of the Kumo party. He turned back to the Kumo shinobi, reaching into the bag as he did so to pull out a toy that had little bells on it and shaking it in front of the baby to gather her attention.
She gurgled happily her hands reaching out to wave at the toy trying to take it from his hands as he continued to move it about erratically to keep her attention on it and entertain her. It didn’t occur to him how ridiculous he looked before his shinobi, with a baby in a pink carrier, his lack of clothes, and just his general stoic demeanor.

”Komon!” Saya shouted just a couple of yards away from his position. He looked lost and annoyed. It was kind of funny to the girl, making her laugh slightly. More openly once she heard her teammate, Renji, calling out to get her attention. Unfortunately, he had been too enthusiastic in spotting her that he didn’t notice the body (Komon) he had just collided into. She shook her head as she stopped only a few feet from both of the Hyuugas. ”Hey Renji. Good to see you guys here.”
It seemed as if Fate was pulling the strings on all of them as one by one, every single person she had met recently as a genin came to that exact point. Sakana, the pale blue-haired boy. Max, her small adventurous friend. And finally, the hulking figure of her team’s leader, Senshi. ”Good morning to you too, Sakana. Max. Kobayashi-sensei.”
The scene must have been quite a show for anyone that had risen and checked the happenings outside their window. One moment the streets were fairly empty, and merely a minute more and there was a group of shinobi just hanging around in the middle of the street. When Senshi had called her and Renji forth, she did not oppose to the seals being placed upon her. It made her feel even more a part of the ninja forces now that she would be able to communicate with the others freely.
A smile made its way onto her face as everyone greeted and talked to each other. It went on for another five to ten minutes before they were all called to do something else. Saya, herself, was to go out and buy some groceries for the next couple of day for her and the people in the apartment she was staying in.

After the simple meet and greet, everybody seemed to have things to attend to. Max would happily wander around town, watching over the citizens of Hoshi and just taking in all the sights this strange place had to offer.
