Getting to the top of mountains (Ior) (P)

Ryou's every breath was a steamy one. He was glad he was wearing a jacket, or he could have frozen half to death. Of course, he wouldn't have really, Ryou just wasn't used to the cold weather. He lived most of his life in a desert so even normal temperatures were colder than what he was used to. The Lycan had left Ior back at the hotel they stayed at in a town the closest to Three Wolves Moutain. Ryou wasn't stupid enough not to leave a note on where he was going on her door, he still needed to bring her to the new leader. On the note, it told her that he was going to the north side of the small town to do some extra training before heading up the mountains. 

The Kaguya found a nice little spot with a couple little snow covered trees. The rest of the area was some grass and snow. It was also a nice flat area, perfect for the jutsu he had been training forever on, Dance of Seedling Fern. Ryou stood in the centre to the field he had chosen, not far from the trees that he spotted. The Lycan began to weave the signs. Snake - Ram. Then he added the chakra. Not much later, spike made of bone started to pop up from the ground. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight... Ryou counted as they popped up. The D rank missing ninja stopped counting at 20. Of course, that wasn't good enough, he needed more. He weaved the hand signs again and put in the chakra. Soon, there was twice as many as there was before. After a couple minutes of doing this, there were a bone spikes every where in a 60-meter radius, some of the bones reached 60 meters in height, so it would be a surprise if anyone around would have noticed the mass. 

After all that, Ryou rested on his back. It was quiet, the sound of wind moving through the bone spike could be heard. All most there, we have to get to that Mountain, train our asses off, and get over to Kumo. Ryou thought. Although, this would be easier said than done. Training could take forever and it could all be for nothing if they fail to attack Kumo and get killed. Then a terrible thought went through his head, if I die, Sal will never know. Ryou started to dread over this. Another thing was that he was too afraid to go see his 'older brother'. What if he never forgives me? What if he dies and I don't get to know about it? What if...

She wasn't told that there is snow to begin with. Not that he needed to; It just slipped off her mind. Thinking about coming to a snowy area to meet others that he associated is kind of an irony. Where blades in their purest form honed their skills hides blades in their worst wretch formed, the survival cycle did not spare this snowy area. Unfortunately, she will freeze if she doesn't think of something; Maybe this was a trap.

That was when she was on her way here. Now, so long as she stays within the compound not getting funny ideas, she would be fine as she got her gear with her.

Ryou sat up after awhile. "Where is she?" The boy asked himself. "She should have gotten my letter." Then the Lycan stood up and started to climb the tallest bone spike to look out from a high view point. So far he got nothing, there was no Ior in sight. It didn't help that he was looking through a snow covered forest. Ryou sighed and jumped down from the high bone spike. Once he was at the bottom, he pulled out his fuma shuriken and infused it with wind chakra. Then after winding up and aiming his giant shuriken, Ryou throws it at the bases of bone spikes. To his surprise, a great portion came down. Ryou had to keep doing it until the spikes were all levelled. He took a breath of exhaustion

The Kaguya began to wonder if Ior deserted him, or worse, set a plan to kill him. This made Ryou start using chakra sensory around him. He also kept a watchful eye out. Ryou started to think of reasons why she'd want to kill him. She could be from Kumo, hunting our group down. But our group isn't very well known. Then another thought, Well, she could still be from a village, maybe even Kono for deserting them.

Life as an former money escort works for her now. She no longer had to updated constantly and read in between the lines to survive as it proved to be tiring after a period of time. Yet, her skills did not went into oblivion like her career as she woke up on where she felt comfortable again within the compound; Yet she allowed herself to wither. The thought of it woke her up as she looked at the weapon pouch on her hand that she had been holding on since she slept, these are days of freedom in trade of wealth; Maybe to be considered as such, she needed that to last the day alone as long as she is out at where laws can't reach. She still needed to keep up with her own protection as she quickly place where the pouch is supposed to be and head out to a weird formation of planks that she passed by nearby from her current location to hone her skills; To hell with the cold for now.

As the time for the sun to shine semi-perpendicular to the ground nears; Even for a little warmth, she took a moment of breath and reach out her hand with a moment of focus. The materialization failed, she was on her way to figuring out what the trick behind what she had ignored while she had her job due to being protected most of the time. She tried again pouring more chakra into performing the technique for the second time, visualizing the space required to transport a kunai instantly, she was so focused on her hand that she forgot to grab the kunai that materialized right beneath her hand and within the coverage her sleeve. She had made the first right step in her preparations towards battle. Proceeding as planned, she walked further to get to where she found the planks.

It took her a good 5 minutes of enjoying noises that the nature offered before reaching to an area that hanged planks; About 10 of them looked to be in sight in an area that trees are few and far. She stretched herself upon reaching to prepare for action. She would start from the beginning again where she had to prepare the weapon ahead of time. She remained still again, posturing herself in the basic stance she had known for years in employment. She closed her eyes for a few seconds to get ready. HA! She shouted and opened up her vision, giving majority of her focus to her right hand. This time she would remember to grab hold of the kunai that materialized itself. With a quick grab, she did a swing at the plank closest to her, it merely scratched the plank as she could tell that she wasn't prepared to use the weapon instantly after holding; Using it during battle seems to be very different from what she thought to be. But now she know how it feels like.

With more concentration, Ioritsu had quickly adapted to using the technique for proper self defense, she seldom had the need to do it back then. However, it helps in bringing the basic element of surprise. For the third time of the day, with the help from her sleeve that got her the kunai gripped right before the moment of slash, Ioritsu gripped onto the kunai just moments before her arm is perpendicular to the hanging plank. It took her a shorter moment to tighten her grip before the plank got cut into half.

Unfortunately for her she couldn't practice in peace. A few lowlifes saw her as a fledgling fighter and decided to flex their muscles on her for fun. Approaching her with typical starting lines, their moods seems to have gotten better in between them. Noticing them right away way before they allowed sunlight to shine on them. She would take them as her target practice today and as it would seem they were itching for a fight. She allowed them to gain attention on her in the first place and simply hold onto her weapon with a goal in her head for the afternoon.

The gang didn't stop for her to give her time to prepare. Ioritsu had only her kunai to handle three of them. The member closest to her got very confident and started the action with a jump. His shadow gave him away as she allowed him to hit the remains of the hanging plank in his face.  The plank went down and so did the initiator. Ioritsu stopped the next move by feigning a kunai throw and attempting to get another one out by the means from her sleeves again. The next guy took the bluff as it bought Ioritsu time in a way that it took seconds for the friend beside the target to react. Looking at what seems to be turning the fight over to her favor, Ioritsu saw her real opponent. These guys were definitely hired for get her attention as the real threat tried to flank her marking the start of the real fight. Ioritsu parried his downward slash with her kunai just in time and the attacker was immediately brought to light. She doesn't know him at all, her mind started questioning the reason behind this attack. However, there was no time to lose as she saw the two hired arms ran toward her. Ioritsu was caught off guard to why she got tracked in the first place. Both of them jumped and tried to use their mass to their advantage which both shadow cast on the snow expanded at a quick rate, not that it was very small to begin with but still required a little attention. She had the other sleeve as she attempted the same technique to get 2 more shuriken to throw at them. However, the main attacker stopped her throw by blocking her move in the process with a shorter sword. Knowing that she will get caught shortly, she allowed the the blade to push her down a little. It got the airmen struggling to avoid the blade that would end up piercing them, diverting their attention to the blade as the masked attacker was forced to back off, giving her time to do the same as well. She dodged the incoming sword throw and made her way out of the incoming mess she would have gotten into.

Getting to him as quickly as possible would be great.

Ryou sat against a tree, waiting, still. He was getting a bit impatient, but not enough to leave her. In fact, Ryou thought that this would be perfect to train the other jutsu he had been working on, Bone armour. The Lycan got up and faced the tree he was laying against. He focused his chakra into a layer under his skin on his right fore arm and fist. This would hopefully get his bloodline's jutsu working. To test if it worked, Ryou winded up his fist and struck the tree. Ryou could tell it didn't work was well as he hoped cause it still hurt. Ryou sighed and tried again, putting chakra into his right fore arm, winding up his fist, and striking the tree's trunk. Every time it got a bit better but he still wasn't quite there. 

Seeing that Ior still wasn't there, Ryou thought he could keep going. So this time he wanted to work in werewolf form. The Lycan then transformed into the beast. Ryou couldn't help but roar after the transformation. Now with his predatory eyes, he looked at his targets, the trees. Well, they would be if some people didn't interrupt. Ryou was punching the trees, making a pretty good crater in the tree. "Look at that beast." Ryou's ear picked up hearing. "I bet if we bring it pelt in, it would be a fortune." The Lycan turned his head toward the voice. "Oh shit, I think it heard us." One of the men said, there were ten. Ryou snarled and roared at them, making them flinch a bit. Actually, it wasn't much of Ryou, as soon as one of the men aimed with his kunai, the Lycan charged at him and slammed his head into the ground. The others got terrified but seemed determined to get Ryou killed. Of course, the Lycan didn't like that too much. He slashed one of the men's chest, making the man spill blood, and blood getting onto Ryou's claws. Next, he charged at the next closest man with an open maw, showing his sharp fangs. Ryou bit down on the man's neck, killing instantly. The other two finally thought it was time to run. It was too late. The Lycan got to them both, slicing their chests with his claws. The Lycan growled low, he smelled others with similar scents, they were the ones that were attacking Ior. 

The Lycan was fast, he dodged snow covered trees left and right, still running at top speeds. He got to the field where she was fighting the men. Ior had just dodged the sword. Ryou gripped a tree, scaring it with claw marks. He looked at everyone there and gave his roar, showing who was the boss.

Speak of the Angel, he came into the fighting trying to deter the aggressors. Now, she would take this time to make herself disappear to be more useful. She wouldn't know if it'll work and continued trying to make a distance between them; If needed she will deform herself to fit environment, leaving the fight to him.

They never continue the pursuit, maybe he did them or scared them enough to get them going elsewhere. She would not stop until she felt safe like she did in the compound again.

Thank goodness Ior left the scene for the moment, Ryou didn't want her to see this side of him. The Lycan charged at her pursuers and processed to slice at them with his claws and bite them with his fangs. Soon they all were dead and Ryou's bloodthirst was over. Ryou stayed in the form though, he sniffed out the area for Ior and then chased after her scent. 

Once the Lycan found Ior, he picked her up and put her over his shoulder without any words. With the woman on his shoulders, it was easier to get to the top of the mountain quicker. Ryou didn't care much for her protests if she had any, his strength out matched hers so he was able to keep her on. Now that he had what he needed, he started to dash towards the Three Wolves Mountain. 

At the base of the mountain, Ryou started to walk on the walls, still as a werewolf and still holding Ior. He moved much slower though because he was holding Ior. After about an hour of walking up the jagged rocked mountain, Ryou and his gift that he was gonna show Kaz arrived at the top.

Regardless of the outcome, it would seems that he ran out of patience. For her combat abilities were limited compared to him. However, he would not keep her on his shoulder for the remainder of the run. Riding on him as a cape tied around his neck after he carried her, he moved his way up the mountains. She had to endure the cold throughout the way though.
