Delivered in a Flash
Sun Oct 15, 2017 5:29 am
Another day another mission this one was kind of easy. At least it seemed that way, taking a package and delivering it. This should be not so hard for a shinobi of her calibre so she was not surprised that this time she was working alone again. So at the dawn of the morning she was waiting outside a restaurant waiting for the package come out. She was walking up and down the alley where she was supposed to wait at the back door to the place. Why was this so secret anyways? She shrugged it off at least for a bit while she was still pacing back and forth. Her mind was spinning around a little thinking of everything that had happened in the last days and weeks. She was kind of proud of herself to have gotten that much stronger than she was before and maybe soon be ready to become a Chuunin by the time the next exam was coming up. Well time to tune it down maybe she got face to face with someone who as equally strong or even stronger. There were so many Genin around that had great powers and she was only one of them. So while she looked at the several cracks in the wall in front of her counting them like a charm.
Then the door opened up and there was a man looking around and then looking straight at her. She walked towards her and leaned in towards her whispering in a dimmed down voice: "The lavender peacock." Sanae smiled and nodded grabbing the package he was holding onto. "So this s mine I figure, where do I take it?", but a look down at the address papers did give the needed information and it was quite a route to the other end of the town. She shook her head and signed. Well it would be boring and not really worth the effort to go there if it was just around the corner. Since it spelled out handle with care on the package several times and there was no time gap given to her in which it needed to be delivered despite it being there by the end of the day she resumed to bow down to the man and started walking comfortably. By the pace of this she would surely be there in about two hour's maybe a little more but not much. Humming sweetly she went about her way carrying the package in her arms like a Baby and enjoying the nice day.
Unknown to her yet was that she was followed. They were some members of a delivery service that where angry because the restaurant had given the order to her instead of them. Filled with the hate against Shinobis that were now taking over their jobs they were stalking the young girl taking the delivery package and walking away. Now they were behind her creeping behind boxes and people, the occasionally tree and parked carts and such. It indeed needed some time for her to notice because she did not really thing of being followed but then with time she could get a glimpse of every guy who was tailing her, rather unprofessional to say the least because they were stumbling over one another from time to time. At first she shook her head, leave them be, they would harm themselves often enough by just this foolish attempts to quickly hide before she turned to see them. She rolled her eyes at this pathetic display of grownups trying to ambush a little girl making a delivery and in the same time she pitied them that they would run into their own blade if they tried to mess with her.
Sure she was not a really scary sight to see nor was she someone who looked like she would go around seriously hurting people, but the fun of it was, she could. As for a Genin she was quite strong and mere ordinary workers would just repel from her like thrown gummy balls. But well if they wanted to try they were welcome to try her on. She would not be harming them since it was not the shinobi way to harm their own people, even if they did stupid stuff, but since she was good enough now she did not need to let herself get beaten up or something of that sort. But for now everything was quiet and peaceful. Maybe because she was walking the main roads where a lot of people where and where they could not risk to be seen beating on a girl just like that. For a brief moment she thought about the Situation and how to deal with it the proper way. Sur she was curious but something could always happen and if the package got damaged the mission was a failure. But could she really have those guys stalking her like creeps without teaching them a lesson? No not really and as she had confirmed before she would not harm them in any way. Well they could do that themselves at least that was what she thought about the matter.
Soon came their time for them to proof their intentions as Sanae saw the spot where she could turn to a side street or more like some alleyways less people walked here because they were dark and sometimes kind of scary or dirty. But it could also be a short cut to the sometimes crowded main streets especially in these morning hours when everyone was on their feet getting to school, to work to shop. So this was not only to test her little ploy but also to have a more relaxed route to her destination. As she predicted her new most dedicated followers were soon following up, but only two of them where coming in from behind. It was not so hard to think that the other two were trying to cut in before her and as she almost reached the end of the alley they turned up in front of her. Kind out of breath as it seemed but brave enough to stand in her way and almost loudly shouting: "Stop right there girly!"
Holding the package in her arms Sanae stopped in her tracks and looked at them tilting her head looking at them. "What do you want I am kind of in a hurry", she said nodding to the package she carried and they assured her, they would know, but well she would know the drill. Normal people like them would need to protect their jobs that were taken from them by those pesky young Shinobi who were pushing the prizes for jobs and such so that normal firms like they could not compete. Every motion from her to object their prejudices or to tell them otherwise, especially that Shinobi were indeed more expensive to hire for those jobs, because of their war training. Why would they think that taking delivery jobs like a simple post men was what the Shinobi were supposed to do on a daily basis. This whole thing was barely an arrangement with the city so that if young Shinobi found jobs to take part in they could afford to pay their school fees and living expenses on their own. This was especially crucial for the ones who were not born here and whose families lived in the countryside for example. But all the sweet talk could not calm them in their anger and frustration.
Slowly she walked towards the men in front of her while she spoke with a gentle but firm voice: "Get off my back, you aren't gonna stop me anyways." Shoving them to the sides with her shoulders she could feel hands grabbing them and someone saying that he was sorry that it had to be this way. The next thing she could predict was, that someone was about to be hitting her over the head with something made of wood, it looked like a bat of some sorts. I a matter of moments her bone armour crawled over her head and with a crushing and crackling sound the back broke over her head no harm done to her what so ever. Signing she looked at the men and shook her head in disbelieve. Lecturing them that they would need something worse f they really wanted to leave an impact on her while she was getting free from them. No although she would not like to have this sitting on herself she would not hurt the people of Hoshi, at least not if that was not asked of her. As the stronger human she had the responsibility to remind herself on this.
While she was walking away steadily she could hear them say that they could not believe what kind of monstrous powers would lie beneath the surface of her young and almost helpless seeming body. What kind of monster she was and if they had gone too far. What would happen if she decided to take vengeance? Well wouldn't that be something you worry before you do something stupid like this? One would say so, but as the history had taught everyone the many don't always do what was healthiest or smartest. They did what they felt was right and what they felt was kind of self centred so this would become quite entertaining for the young Shinobi. Kind of like a training ground prepared with traps and such. She would need to avoid falling debris like flowerpots, roof parts, dirt and water, but throw by armatures and easy to doge it without even the slightest danger for the package.
At one time Sanae was stopping in an alley already quite close to her final destination to lure a cat closer. It was a small stray tom maybe a bit over three months wobbling around on his shaky little legs meowing in a most adorable way. He had marbled fur in a blue grey tone and blazing blue eyes that captivated her. Softly she was running her hand over his back and he was purring to it as he was rubbing his head into her hand. For a moment she sat there and as she enjoyed petting the animal her stalkers had closed in on her. While she was kneeling on the ground she could notice another flowerpot come flying her way. This time she did not evade it, because if she would have done so, there was a huge chance her new friend wound have gotten hurt by the spreads of shards from the pot. She let out a deep sign, it was quite hard but those thickheads had made it, she was angry. Inside of hr boiled something over. She hated this, why did they do it and why didn't someone do something against it. Many questions rushed her mind as her ears picked up the sound of someone running towards her.
It did take a moment but then while she was making sure the cat was alright someone of them got the package and bolted. Since the kitten was alright it was now her time to show him that the fun was over. With a quick start from down low she rushed after the thief and caught up to him easily, rushed in beside him running on the side of a wall and grabbed the package. Taking a turn and now really rushing to finish the job she was to do getting to the address she had read on the package. It was by no means hard to find it, a big house almost four times as big as the home Sanae was living in and she already thought they had a gigantic home. So at the gate she knocked against the wooden door as she could now take a breath. Her followers were not even close to being as fast as she was and to herself she thought that this was why she was chosen and not them. A little window opened and she could see two eyes behind them."Excuse me, I have a delivery, if you can remember the password", she said holding up the package. "The lavender peacock", was the answer out of the door and she nodded. Well delivery done and what had it been in the end? She would not know, she was only delivering it. After that she went her way but not without stopping by in the ally to play a little more with the kitten before she handed in the signed delivery papers which were then exchanged for her paper that said that the job had been done well.
