The young girl beside Masashi help a litmus paper in her hand, which became wet when she fed chakra into it. ‘Ah, so she has a water nature.’ He thought as he returned to his own chakra nature focus. Focus didn’t last long. With his eyes closed, he didn’t notice Miyamoto approach until he felt a hand connect with his chest. "You are not clearing your mind enough. However, take this pain as a learning example. What was the first thing you thought of when I hit you? Was it revenge, or confusion, a combination of both...or perhaps none at all. IF you experienced nothing then you have the right attitude for learning. Focus on attaining that clear head without a slap and tell me if you can find a way to access your inner fire." Miyamoto didn’t really pay much attention to the young boy’s words, as he was a little more concerned with the pain in his chest. ‘It seems that this one prefers to motivate using pain..’ Masashi thought to himself as he rubbed the spot where Miyamoto had struck him. Miyamoto had then started speaking to Kari; "So I have never seen you around in the village, or in any classes when I was a student...hard to think that you are just here to read and not to gain any practical ninjutsu knowledge?" It didn’t take her long to respond though. She looked up at him before saying "I found you interesting..." She then sighed and stood up. It seemed that this type of studying was not for her. "I wish not to be a bother. So I will take my leave."  And leave she did, walking back into the library. Masashi did not blame her, since this was not his preferred method of learning. He did however want to learn to manipulate his fire chakra, and Miyamoto was here, and at least seemed to be willing to help. He would suck it up and learn quickly so that he could move on to other aspects of his training. Only after Kari had left, did Masashi respond to the young Chuunin. “I’d be lying if I said I felt nothing when you hit me. Irritation, resentment, but that is irrelevant at this point. I’m here to learn, so learn I shall.” With that, he would resume working on building his fire nature chakra up.

It would seem that his teacher had nothing else for Masashi to learn, as he remained silent for some time now. He shrugged and kept working on building up his chakra, feeling it grow in power until it was almost as potent as the earth chakra that he had developed as a young boy. 'This will allow me to move forward with the next part of my plans.' He thought to himself. Satisfied with his progress, Masashi stood up and nodded to Miyamoto. "Thank you for your assistance. I believe I have it figured out now. I must make my leave." And with that, Masashi turned and made his way back to his home.
