Shinoskay's first Doton Jutsu

Classes had ended for the day, they did some Kunai throwing and more 'Hand Seal Principles', outside of the bare basics the academy didn't really offer any personalized or proper instruction to its students let alone the orphan students but The Academy had a library so if he wanted to learn anything beyond what the academy would teach then he had to learn it from others or on his own... The village lost though so if he wanted to become strong enough to stand on his own then he needed to learn some new way that the villages weren't.

He knew his primary element was Doton, he learned this in The Village hidden in stone, go figure right?, and verified this with The village Hidden in the leaf. He found he often had an almost constant abundance of energy, he could keep fighting and moving so long as he wasn't struck down and he could keep attacking so long as he didn't run out of weapons or means to attack. Jutsu can be taxing, so in between jutsu he would need weapons, he needed a way to always stay armed.

Thankfully, with his primary element been Doton and there almost always been an ever abundance of earth around him if he can learn to weaponized the earth then he can always be armed. The most basic forms of this was a jutsu to create a staff or stick made of earth and so he had taken that scroll for todays training. A staff was pretty basic, nothing compared to creating body cover, a sward, or anything significantly capable but in the end it could be the something compared to the nothing.

The young made his way through the forest, once more noting the irony, the majesty of it was starting to grow on him however. When he found a acceptable place with what looked like enough of a clearing of earth to form a staff Shinoskay lay out the scroll next to the small clearing and reviewed it.

There were several hand signs but the concept was simple enough, the hand sign for it was really interesting however... a single handed tiger sign? Shinoskay raised his eyebrow when he saw this and felt the idea was interesting, or efficient, he can hold an item or weapon in one hand and form the jutsu seal in the other hand... For now he decided to focus on this jutsu, so he collected a small clump of earth into a pile above the scroll before placing his hand upon it.

Holding the half tiger sign, as presented in the scroll, he placed his other hand on the small pile while concentrating chakra through his tier seal hand and then into the soil before him... he was familiar with the earths chakra, and so he pressed his will to shape the chakra of the earth into that of a staff. His concentration held, and slowly the earth began forming as his chakra reinforced it in tandem, like paste the chakra held the earth in place and pulled it compact and tight so that it appeared to be naturally formed.

The jutsu actually seemed to come naturally to him, more so then even the transformation or the clone jutsu, this made him smile. Earth was a powerfully ally given that it was that which all stood upon, that which most was made from. Once the Staff finished forming he gripped it in his hand and stood, feeling the weight of it as he held it before him. It was a little heavy but he thought maybe he could make it shorter next time and that should feel better.

Shinoskay took a basic swordsman stance, something any amateur would think of with his body slightly pivoted sideways and the weapon in his right hand while his left hand held empty but in front of himself before pivoting into a reverse facing, rotating the weapon to the front and his bare hand further back.

He pivoted in reverse again, this time he made a slow swing as he pivoted, the staff moved well enough in the air and the weight lent its force behind his swing. Twice more he made a slow pivot while bringing his weapon into a cross swipe to feel it bear down on the air around him.

It felt good.
