Ghosts in Konoha?
Thu Mar 01, 2018 2:25 pm
- Mission Details:
- Mission Name: The Ghost-District.
Rank: C
Type: Patrol.
Character Requirements: Genin Squad/Chuunin or higher.
Mission Location: Village, Konoha
Word Count Requirements: 4000
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 2000 Ryo
Task: A abandoned district of the village has begun to see some activity for some reason. At night people nearby the place have reported hearing loud noises and screaming coming from within the area, so it is your (or you and your teams) job to go in there at night and see if you find anything or if the citizens are just hearing things.
C Rank: The Ghost-District
Today’s mission took place sharply at dusk. Allegro stood outside of the Hokage’s headquarters while he waited fo his team to gather. It would appear he would be reassigned with Shinoskay for this mission. Allegro smiled briefly. He could respect anyone who was as dedicated to his missions as Allegro himself was. It was only a matter of time before the Hokage recognized his progress and hopefully promote him to a higher rank. His mission today was clear and hopefully far from difficult: He was simply to patrol an abandoned district in Konoha where shady activity was apparently reported by the local villagers. Allegro knew the target area to be the Okinaga district, which was almost completely abandoned at this point. It was apparently a gathering place for the once famous Okinaga clan. They’re mysterious powers were said to be too great. The leaf village eventually had to take matters into their own hands when members of the clan began to overpower even the Hokage.
Allegro waited for his partner to arrive outside the Okinawa district to discuss strategy. He definitely was not expecting this mission to be an especially difficult one. The suspicious activity was most likely the average lone wolf shinobi honing his or her ninjutsu skills in an area away from other people. Allegro himself did not mind a few hours of solitude in a solo thread duking it to make sure his jutsu was ready for the next mission. He opened the mission assignment scroll one last time as the Sun said its goodbyes to the land of Konoha. Since the boy would be spending most of the night on duty with, he brought a book with him to enjoy reading while he was on patrol. He was growing more and more confident in his ability to complete his missions. He was growing more and more into the mold of the character from the book he was reading. The legendary Naruto Uzumaki who came from nothing and rose to be a symbol of protection for the Leaf Village. A true shinobi Hero. That was a title Allegro didn’t mind for himself. He could not wait until he got deployed on missions with higher rank so he could prove his worth.

Shinoskay was particularly shocked when he was suddenly called in for a higher rank mission, why a genin was been called in to do chuunin work was a mystery but apparently it was happening. Naturally, he was worried about whether he would /could do such a mission but at the very least he would try to succeed because that was what was expected of him. When he arrived to meet with his mission partner he was shocked to see Allegro again "oh, hello again Kohei, I hope you are well" the younger genin would bow slightly, showing that he more spoke in formality then to actually ask.
Due to his experience with the older genin, in the last mission the two did together, he more or less expected very little to no chatter with suddenly actions or movements and so he opted to remain more prepared to move in response to his teammates movements.
Once again, as well, the newer genin was rather clueless as to the details of what they were meant to do and so he relied on Allegro's experience to guide them through the mission though this time he was determined to not be any sort of burden or risk to either of them like he was last time. Though he had benefited from the killing of the snake, he would rather not cause anyone, including himself, to fall into risk.
Shinoskay was slightly disappointing when he was left behind, rather in the dust as his much faster teammate was able to easily out speed him, however he felt it may have been for the best.
Upon catching up again, and arriving outside the Okinawa district, Shinoskay formed the Ram, snake, and then tiger seals to project two clones... one to his right and then one to the right of that clone. Then all three Shinoskay's pulled out a rock from there weapon pouch and with the half tiger seal they made the rock into a cane.
He didnt really feel ready, despite this preperation, but he did feel at least it was better then nothing.

The ninja closed his little book when Shinoskay arrived on the scene near the entrance of the abandoned Okinawa District. The kid had clearly forgotten Allegro’s name, after addressing him as “Kohei”. Allegro folded his arms with his tongue in his cheek as a few words left his mouth, which was uncharacteristic of him.
“Its Allegro, yo”
With that out of the way, he offered his partner the mission scroll, in case he wanted to look it over. He was sure that he would find the mission to be quite a dull one, just like Allegro. However, he did not mind boring missions. It gave him time to reflect in the silence that he loves so much and even practice his music if he felt up to it. For the sake of the mission and its nature, he chose the former. Just in case there was someone creeping about in the restricted districts of Konoha, it was vital that the two of them maintain the element of surprise. Allegro would remove a scroll from his backside and unravel it before Shinoskay to reveal a detailed map of the surrounding area. He went on to explain to his partner about the rectangular perimeter of the district, and how they will be splitting the area in two and establishing a patrol route. The two of them would cover equal amounts of distance and, if there were no interruptions, the two would always meet near the district entrance at around the same time. Each time they met up again, they’d have time to warn the other about anything suspicious they may have encountered.
Allegro gave a thumbs up to indicate that the two were ready to carry out the mission, if there were no questions the genin had for him. Allegro was counting on Shinoskay for the success of the mission. He watched the boy form basic clones and a cane. The concerned look on Allegro’s face seemed to convey a warning to Shinoskay not to use up too much of his chakra, just in case. You never know, there was a chance that these reporting were just the tip of the iceberg, and that the reported screams and loud sounds were those of the victims of a bloodthirsty killer. So, you know, the pair needed all the energy they could get. Finally, the two would eventually split and Allegro would go off to the left to start his patrol route.
The night sky was a shade of indigo that was studded with stars, creating a beautiful scene. The gaping full moon lit up every path of the shadowy district, giving it a yellowish hue. Allegro kept a casual pace, and each footstep seemed to echo throughout the entire abandoned district in a rhythmic pattern. He looked around for anything suspicious, though even he was not sure what counted as suspicious in the already sketchy area. I mean, this part of town looked like there were people still living there. Working lights, plumbing, and not even a spec of dust on the furniture inside. Someone had to be occupying this place. Or were the rumors true? Was this some kind of ghost town? Allegro wanted to investigate inside one of the houses, but something in his genetics forbade it. The very melanin in his skin warned him that when things looked suspicious and dangerous, the smartest thing to do was probably not to jump straight into it head first. He followed his instincts and kept it moving. He wondered how his partner, Shinoskay, was doing.

Shinoskay opted to maintain formality and in response to what was to him an insistence to use the senior genins name, maintaining his bowing posture, "please, I am not so important, Kohei Allegro." It would be rude to not respect another's wishes at least once but overall he hoped he demonstrated his insistence on using the honorific in place of his teammates actual name. Even if Allegro insisted further, so too would Shinoskay insist upon the honorific.
Moving past that, one way or another, the junior genin would happily accept the scroll to review the mapping of the area. His immediate thought was to copy down the map onto paper but unfortunately he had no paper on him to do so. Instead he took a few kunai, then using chakra threads he would quickly but relatively crudely replicate the map in front of him on to the floor in a manner almost like a printer would. First he would replicate the outline, trying to keep the general shape of the area they were to patrol while watching out to leave gaps for any entrances or paths leading in or out. Once finished with the outline, he did what he could to etch out main paths first, running through all the cross paths using two or four kunai in parallel for ease and speed... this would go on for a moment until the map was complete.
Then, almost unceremoniously, after looking over his creation for a moment he would then swipe it out of existence with his foot. With a nod, he would acknowledge the all ready thumbs up, also having given the same acknowledgement to his task instructions, before moving into his pre stated preparations. Upon receiving a concerned look, "whats up? did I do something wrong?"

Before parting ways, the genin had picked up on Allegro's look of concern, and asked if there was something wrong with what he had done. Allegro shook his head no. There was nothing wrong; Shinoskay was a proven genin of the village and Allegro trusted that he could fend for himself, should anything happen. Allegro knew that Shinoskay picked up the Ventriloquism technique from their last mission together. So, he gave further instructions on their plan of action should anything happen that would require backup. "If anything comes up, just call out for me using that technique." And with that, Allegro would walk off to cover his side of the district. A natural fog that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere swallowed the boys figure behind him as he walked further into the beyonds of the district.
Allegro climbed the tile rooftops of the residential areas of the districts and gingerly walked from roof to roof, keeping a careful eye out for any motion or activity. At the same time he kept his senses about him to be able to detect any foreign chakra signatures that might be tied to the reported incidents. So far, there was nothing. Only the creaking sound of rotting wooden sliding doors and the occasional stray dog that whimpered as he walked. One of them spotted Allegro from his spot in the shadows and started to growl at him. From reflect alone, Allegro whipped out two senbon needles from the loose sleeves of his robe as he turned to face what was growling at him. When he saw that it was only a dog, he returned his needles and carried on with his patrol. It probably would not be long before Shinoskay made his first lap around the perimeter. He recalled the genin's burst of energy during their last mission together, where he raced into action boldly in the face of a monstrous snake. Allegro sighed, appreciative of his partner's enthusiasm. Shinoskay was doing his best, and that inspired Allegro to do the same.He continued to hop from roof to roof, passing by a few decorative structures and statues along the way. Allegro could only guess that the Okinawa were a powerful breed of shinobi by the way they were commemorated. Either that or they were quite full of themselves. He wondered what kind of kekkei genkai they possessed and why it never got re-apped on this site. He may never learn.
Allegro could see the original meeting spot at the entrance of the district in the distance. He would wait up until he say Shinoskay again to debrief on whether they had seen anything. Maybe he saw something that Allegro missed.

While he maintain his own expression of concern, he felt this was something it would be best to not press into as he was still new to conducting missions while Allegro was at least a little more experienced. This was an investigation mission but it was also C rank from what he saw on the mission details, conducting his own search separate of his teammate on something so high seemingly important did leave him uneasy but he was more inclined to trust both his village and his senior. He had dedicated some of the map to mind, as he turned to search he would try to dismiss the other half so to follow an internal map of the area from what he saw and drew.
Shinoskay Decided to take a slightly less orthodox method for patrolling, there was a route he saw that would let him efficiently zig zag through most of the warehouses. He had not patrolled much before and mostly he was imagining a lot of open and empty buildings where boxes would normally be stacked and such. His unorthodox method was talk walk parallel with the ground, feet on the side of the buildings, as he hoped this would allow him to look 'down' into windows with relative ease and maximum control of angle... all the while allow him a means to better hide if he found himself searching occupied building.
Almost immediately he came to learn the truth about warehouses, while most of them were somewhere open space they also had inner cages, at least one room on an upper floor with a window to over see the rest of the warehouse but sometimes there was more then one office whether it was upper or lower. A few of the warehouses had long and deep rows of cages, or containers, but only a few were like that. He found this almost fascinating but also knew if he was going to investigate then he would need to do so as thoroughly as possible. Shinoskay knew he would never forgive himself if he missed something, particularly something obvious, and that led to issues for the village or for others.
The Junior genin, however, was fully aware of how under equipped he was and so he made full use of his clones to maneuver around as he traveled, making a point that as he looked around he would engage each clones scope of view to insure that if anyone ended up spotting him first and avoiding his search than it would not be so easy to determine which of the three was actually Shinoskay and which was a clone. This would also help protect the boy to some small degree but he expected it would only help a little.
As an extra measure, one of the clones would even act under transformation jutsu in the form of a particularly accentuated feminine version of shinoskay to add some variance to the three's appearance. The daftly traveled from window to window as they made to inspect as much as possible in their patrol, all of this was particularly tedious though and coupling it with that he was already half as fast as Allegro... he would likely take twice to four times the time as his teammate to complete his side.
The many warehouses seemed endless, once looked through the window of one, he could see that in the immediate vicinity inside of it there wasnt anyone or anything. This would allow him to slip inside where the endless rows of storage slots for securing some of the slightly more precious cargo rather then just mass storing trade goods. Some of the storage units had old locks on them but for the most part many of them were unlocked.
While he only had a small issue with it, he decided it would be better to break the remaining locks and open up the many storage units to inspect them for anything strange or out of place.
if uninterrupted he would eventually complete the search and investigation, eventually he too would also make way to the meet up point.
If met by his teammate, he would nod and say "the jutsu of puppets" to identify he had not been replaced by anyone. Even though they didnt pre agree on this as a way to identify the two, he hoped Allegro would catch on to what he was doing, though and Shinoksay also hoped he was not been too demanding or just rude.
If this was answered appropriately, the junior genin would report that he found some blankets and cold, old, lanterns in a few of the sectioned off rooms of the warehouses but otherwise there was not anything telling of shinobi presence.

The Uzumaki had finally passed the residential areas and was walking along a dirt path through the open grass fields of the district. He walked casually, but with purpose. Though he had his headphones on and playing music, his eyes were darting carefully around the scene, looking sharply for clues He thought to himself about how it was suspicious that the residential homes were maintained and clean though this district has been abandoned for years, according to his detailed report from the mission assignment office. Though he could not form any conclusions from this observation just yet, he locked it in the back of his mind, possibly for the report he and Shinoskay would give to Lady Hokage after the mission has ended.
The boy’s train of though ended when a particularly abandoned house came into view. It was the only house for several miles, and in the middle of this spooky grass field. And what’s more, there were two pits of blue flames sitting on the porch. The ominous blueish purple flames rose like fiery pillars, and oddly enough seemed to entice the boy to draw closer, like a moth. Though he wanted to investigate further, he turned his head back on the dirt path and looked in the distance. He could see the area where he and Shinoskay were supposed to meet after their first lap. That was where the two of them could exchange information, and perhaps it was not such a bad idea to come back with reinforcements before taking on such a clear attempt at a set up. Allegro motioned to continue walking, but something stopped him immediately in his tracks. From beneath his headphones, his ears began to twitch. He swore….that he heard something, or someone. The faintest of cries for help. No, it was probably just his imagination. I mean, who could possibly hear a tiny cry for help under the heavy boom bap beat of the music he was listening to.
Allegro finally arrived at the exact point where Shinoskay and he first parted ways at the begining of the patrol mission. It was there that he would meet with Shinoskay once he made it there too. This time, one of his two clones was a female….Alrighty then. Allegro listened to Shinoskay who said “the jutsu of puppets”. Allegro stared at him blankly. The two had never agreed on a password, so why was he now presenting one. Allegro wanted to dig further into this, but his eyes kept straying away from the original Shinoskay and onto the version of him that looked like it had on a bad wig. Thank God Shinoskay was born a male. Allegro smiled and gave the thumbs up, accepting Shinoskay’s password. He would then use his hands to ask a question. He was asking Shino if he had seen anything suspicious by looking left and right with his right hand over his eyebrows, and then used the same hand to scratch his chin, as if suspicious about something. Allegro would then wait for some kind of reply, hoping that the communication came across clear. Shinoskay replied, having understood the hand signals, and reported that he discovered some blankets, lanterns in the old warehouses on the east side of the district. Allegro paired this information with the information that he had gathered and it was clear that someone had recently inhabited this district long after its abandonment. For what, was still unknown.
Allegro caught Shinoskay’s attention with his waving hand, and explained to him how he had found similar signs of inhabitation in the residential areas on the west side of the district. Moreover, there was a house in particular that he thought the two of them should investigate. If all was understood, Allegro would retrace his steps, this time with Shinoskay, until the two of them were standing in front of that same creepy old house, half destroyed, with the bluish purple flame pillars. This time, there was a faint light in the top right window, from a lit candle. There were shadowy figures moving around in the corners.
Allegro looked at his partner with a look of shock. He had never been the superstitious type, that is, until now. Allegro stepped forward towards the house and shot his flat right hand up next to him, indicating that Shinoskay should not follow him. While Shinoskay waited below and made sure there was nothing suspicious going on outside the house, Allegro would use his surface walking technique to climb up the exterior of the old house that was not so abandoned after all. When he reached the window with the light on and flickering shadows in it, Allegro peaked in, making sure he could not be detected by anyone who was inside. He gave a short, inaudible gasp. He could not believe his eyes. There were four shadowy figures standing strategically around a carefully drawn incantation circle. From the angle he was at, Allegro could not tell whether it was a fuinjutsu circle or some other kind of sorcery. What was most appalling was the pile of human bodies that lied at its center. Whoever this group was, they were using human sacrifices for their rituals. Allegro gritted his teeth with distaste. That would explain all of the reported screams and strange sounds coming from the district. Having seen enough, the red haired genin returned to Shinoskay, and would attempt to describe to him the horrors he had seen. Naturally both he and Shinoskay would want to immediately bust in that bitch, break the door down, and thwart the evil cult’s plot. However, Allegro’s sense of purpose on this mission was quite clear. With this being a C-ranked mission, Allegro knew it was best to avoid engaging the enemy and report what he had seen back to the Hokage. Something of this matter was a village wide concern, and he was sure the Hokage would dispatch jounin level shinobi to handle it and bring those cult members in for justice. If Shinoskay raced inside to stop the weird demonic ceremony, Allegro would shoot his hand out in front of him to stop him. He would gesture for the two of them to get out of here and report back immediately. There job here was done, and they found enough clues in their investigation to consider this mission accomplished.

Went searchin for your Mission Log to justify that claim. Future reference though, it's always better to handle those claims on the log itself for clarity, most mods won't look for it on their own. Also idk if its a glitch on my laptop or not, but I don't see your stat page in your signature, so fix that unless it's just a bug for myself. And be sure to reply to your stat page with updates of approvals, makes a lot of stuff easier to track and find
