It had been a while since Cole had left his lab. He had built it in the basement of his house with the help of his scorpion summons. Even though he was not the most versed in the field of medical ninjutsu. He had started to experiment already with different applications of the Kaguya clan’s kekkei genkai. He knew that the clan had a small regenerative ability as he had already tapped into it with his skin weave. That crossed stitched small bones throughout his skin. He was looking into a way to increase that power even further, and on a way to use it to heal others as well. He needed to get some fresh air and choose to come out to the lake as he had hit a wall that he just couldn’t get past in his experiments. Plus it was a nice day outside as well. He had his normal clothes on except he left his black button down back at his house and was just wearing his white and blue cloth jacket. He still only had one sleeve pulled up revealing his chest and the small bones that ran through the skin there. Making it noticeable that his face had the least noticeable bones stitched in it. Cole walked over to one of the benches by the lake off of the trail a little way to stay out of the way. He would sit down a little sideways with his back to the right corner of the bench. He would cross his left leg over his right and place his hands on his sheen and knee while he looked out at the water. The sun shining down on the water made it almost too bright to look at directly, and the breeze that was flowing through the area blowing the trees around gently made it feel almost too good to be true for the weather in Hoshi was normally more Seaver in the heated area.

Cole would remain sitting for a while thinking about the different things that had happened to the village in such a short amount of time. While he sat on the bench the hogokage and several of the village ninja had left to go to a kage summit in order to discuss what comes next. Cole was not sure but he was sure that he was going to have to leave the village soon. He would always be loyal to Hoshi but what he was needing to do for the sake of science would push the religious people of Hoshi to far over the edge. He knew that he would need Valen the hogokages permission before he was able to leave the village, and for now, he must wait as well before pushing his experiments any further.

Kari dashed through the city hunting information about the various genin in Hoshi. To be more precise, she wanted to meet up with the people who defeated her when she first came out of the academy. While she was not sure she could have beaten then, she knew she was stronger now. She trained, developed her craft and had actual tools to fight back. It was a lot of hard work but now was the time to see the fruits of her labor. Her toughest opponent out of all the genin had to be Cole. He was the only one who made her fear for her life. He was the only one who she also fought seriously. Today she planed to fight him seriously again, however it would be a spar for the sake of improve and a fight over lunch. However if he tried to take her food again, she would be the one to pin him against a rock.

Her information gather lead her to the the Tekiatsu Lake. She remembered seeing it when she was hunting for bugs but she never actually been to it. With all the trees around, she figure Cole would have picked out one to hang around it. To her surprise she saw him sitting on a bench in a thinking pose. She did not think of him as much of a thinker type, but that was besides the point. He seemed to not be paying attention so she decided to call him out.

"Hello!" she shouted in her monotone voice, "Cole-san. I have finally found you!"
She jogged over to his spot. She had her hair tied in pigtails and a dark green cloak on with a lighter green t-shirt and shorts. Inside her cloak were all her stagehands, ninja tools, and items. Her whistle was around her neck. On her back were Hotaru and Kumo, bandaged up on the left and right side respectively.
"I need to repay you for that day... All of it..."

Cole was sitting on the bench staring at the water where the sun was not hitting his eyes in the reflection. He had a lot on his mind today and was needing a good workout after spending so much time in his lab down in the basement. He was thinking about what he was going to do for some exercise when he heard someone yell “Hello” in a monotone voice. His mind quickly raced for a sec as he pulled up the image of a girl he had gone on a date with a little while back, and how the date ended flashed his mind as well. He saw the girl sitting on his couch with nothing on but one of his dad's shirts. Then he flashed back into reality to hear "Cole-san. I have finally found you!"

Cole looked up to see the girl now with more clothes on. She was wearing green this time and a lot of it. Does she think that will help her hide in the woods he thought to himself real quick as he lifted a hand to wave at her? "I need to repay you for that day... All of it..." she would say as she stopped about 3 feet from cole set. He was still sitting down when she got them and would remain seated for a few more seconds. He thought back real quick on the actions of that day. He eats her sandwich but he took her out to eat to repay that. Granted he did not pay for the food but neither did she and it was his idea debt paid theirs. Then he figured that it was the spar since he did beat her badly in it.

Cole would uncross his legs “So you think you are ready for round two this time” he would say as he stood up off the bench. “Very well shall we do this on the water or the land the choice is yours, Doll Face” he would add putting more emphasis on the words doll face.

Cole did not respond at first. His eyes seemed focused, like hers when she captures a scenery before recording it down on paper. Was the time between now and when they last saw each other so great that he forgot her? Maybe he was surprised that see wanted to pay off her debt. She would not know, nor could she. He had always been a unpredictable force. Soon, though his actions would better align with how she knew him as he got up with a cheeky tone.

"Round two?" Kari repeated in her more soft dreary voice. Clearly the boy did not understand how things work. This could not be round two because they never had a round one. There last battle was not a spar for training or self improvement. No, it was a fight for survival and food. A fight on bad terms that she lost. This time, she wanted to spar as allies, teammates, people who had interest and investment in each other. She could not pay him back the debt equal to that last fight but she would supplement the theme with one more friendly? Friendship was still a phenomenon to her but she was sure they were still friends, at least until he got her name wrong again.

"This is round one, our previous engagement was no more than brutish beaten. At best it was a preliminary." Kari set Hotaru on the ground which triggered the bandages to fall off and reveal a girl which looked just like Kari who wore the exact outfit. The two looked like twins since Hotaru had her hands balled in a fist. Kari kept the puppet from falling over by gripping the girl's head but Hotaru remained lifeless, sitting in a compacted positions used minimize the space she took, "Also. My name is not doll face."

Kari then turned around and saw the late. She had never done a battle on water yet so it could be more rewarding to try it. It could be more dangerous since she did not know all of Cole's techniques but the boy did not seem to have elemental jutus in their last fight. So this decision was simple to make.

"This is round one, our previous engagement was no more than brutish beaten. At best it was preliminary." cole could understand that the girl stood little chance of even hurting cole in their first engagement and he was wondering just how far she had come already it hadn’t been that long since their last little skirmish. “Very well round one it is then doll face” he would say waiting for her to pick the battlefield “My name is not doll face." she would tell cole with little to no emotion in the tone yet cole could tell she didn’t like the nickname he gave her which just made him want to use it all the more. Cole noticed that she had taken the bandaged wrapped thing on her back off and set it beside her revealing the contents to be a puppet clone of herself. “Well then” cole would utter under his breath. He had very little experience fighting puppets but he knew the basics and that the biggest weakness of a puppet master is the puppet master. It's hard to defend yourself when you are controlling the puppet.

"I never done a fight over the water." she would say with a few moments pause. “Very well then” cole would say jumping from the next to the bench to land in the middle of the pound some 15 feet away. “Start when you are ready, and just like last time if you're not willing to try and kill me you won't win this fight” he would tell her with a bit of a grin coming on his face. It had been a while since he felt the sear joy of a fight it was something that ran in his family most of the Kaguya clan couldn’t resist a good fight.

Cole stood in the middle of the lake in the training grounds about to see how far a friend of his had come along in their training since the last time they had met in battle. The sun was high in the sky with it being high noon and there was a nice breeze blowing through the village hidden in the stars. All and all for Hoshi it was quite a nice day to train and hang with some friends. Cole was looking at Kari when he noticed behind her was a hawk. Holding his hand up to stop her from starting the fight cole would walk over off from on top of the water and lift his arm so the bird could land on his arm. He knew the bird as a hawk as one of his friends had one before they passed during a mission. Cole looked at the leg of the bird to find a scroll tied to its leg. He would untie the scroll and open it to see what it said making sure that Kari wouldn’t be able to read it as he did so. He didn’t know what the scroll would say and it was better she didn’t know till he had the chance to read it for secrecy sake. Looking at the scroll it would say Cole of the clan Kaguya you are required to meet your team in front of the village gates for a mission of the utmost importance. Details will be provided by the squad leader upon arrival.

Cole would roll the scroll back up and place it in his coat pocket, as he lifted his arm once more for the hawk to walk down his shoulder and back onto his forearm. Lifting his forearm up into the air the hawk would take off back to his nest. Looking back at Kari “I’m sorry but this will have to wait for another day I have been called away for a mission and I can’t be late” he would tell her. He would wave bye to her as he took off at his max speed headed for the gate he wasn’t sure what the mission was but he knew that he had to get their fast just in case based on the information the scroll had given him.
